sound : clean, flat, detailed, typical AKG music output with very contained bass and well identified detail
BT : connects easily (tested with mobiles and with asus usb BT4.0 dongle). I can walk into another room without loosing signal.
Construction : metal headband with soft leather style padding, metallic earphone holders, rest is quality plastic.
Pillow friendliness : not superb but acceptably comfortable. Earphones don't protrude from the headband, thus creating an even pressure when between head and pillow. These phones are big, not as big as AKG K550 (wired) which have a similar design, but big enough to go around your ears.
Controls/lights: blue light is very subtle, it flashes while phones are activated but will not cause annoyance. There are no next/previous buttons, just play/stop and volume up/down (+ a power on/ bt connect button) and these are NFC phones, which means that after initial pairing, you just turn them on, place them near the device you want them to connect to and they will connect.
battery : will last the promised time (8-10 hrs i think)
value for money: excellent. These phones do not suffer from bluetooth sound issues. Sound is like AKG550 which is superb, really.... AKG doesn't like bass, but that is a different story, you either love it or hate it. I don't like exaggerated bass.

Good product from one of the market leaders. Seems to have opened up all the instruments when listening to the music. Very convenient Bluetooth connection, with backup cable supplied. Seems to last a long time, although I have not yet tested full charge / discharge cycles to give any definitive figures. For me the headband could do with a little more padding, but this may be just a bedding in process to new headphones. I think they are a little heavier than my previous HD201's. Very good build quality and feel like they will last. For me the ear pads could do with being a little larger. When I got them, I wasn't sure if they were the genuine product, as the logo on the side arms, that is shown on all the pictures on the Internet, is shown horizontally. The logo on these is actually vertical, so I had my suspicions whether they were old stock? I contacted AKG and provided them the serial number and asked their advice. They confirmed they were genuine products and the new logo is now vertical on the arms.

These are ok but, I was hoping for a deeper sound for the price point? My Parrot Zik 2s knock spots off these AKGs, I think AKG should sort an app out for a premium set of headphones so you can get the sound to how you want it? Don't get me wrong I'm not totally dissing these, I do think they sound ok but I don't think they have a premium sound to them that you should get for the original price of these? I think Bowers & Wilkins P7 are a better idea of a purchase than these even though they're wired? Or try and get hold of the Parrot Zik 2 because nothing gets near them in sound or design/comfort, they're the best Bluetooth headphones on the market period.

First off I bought these knowing that they didn't have Skip function for tracks. That doesn't matter to me. These are fantastic headphones, connected via Bluetooth straight away to my iPhone 6 Plus, and playing either Spotify or ITunes music through these is brilliant. I was so surprised to hear as much detail in the songs that I have listened too. Natural, balanced lows, mids and highs. Once they are run in a bit more I'll report more on sound quality, but so far, so good. I own sennheiser 558's too for my PC and used to use them for portable music, but wires were a hassle. The frequency response of these headphones is 20 to 20, but don't let that stop you buying them, they use every bit of that range and they have no distortion or problems to report. Better then beats if you like music more the way it's supposed to be heard and not sculpted. The only bad thing I can say is the case that is supplied is a leather bag that is very stiff and doesn't really close up when the headphones are in, but it's not a problem for me as I'll get a different one.

Quick review to sum these up as quickly as possible:
Pros:
- Good sound over bluetooth
- Look good, stylish and not oversized or too heavy.
- Pretty comfortable
- 3.5mm audio lead is really handy addition to the box.
OKs:
- Battery life is OK, not in anyway bad but not astounding.
Cons:
- Occasionally has some issues over bluetooth with odd sound artefacts, could be my macbook though.
- High cost, I would rather buy the Bose noise cancelling headphones (not BT though) for not much extra outlay.
- Can get a bit hot, but that's the case with most around-ear headphones .
- No case, this makes a huge difference. The Bose QC headphones come with a really really sleek case which makes a huge difference.
In summary, the BT sound is really good. If you need BT, they're great, but I found after extensive use of both that I prefer the Bose Qc25 which have a cool case and fold up to be much more portable despite the cable situation.

I have a pretty big sized head (I'm 6"2) and was cautious about getting these at first but decided to go for it. I prefer over ear headphones to on ear ones because of better sound isolation, I don't have to keep adjusting them if they slip a tiny bit when I'm moving about and so chose these as my ideal around ears. However, it turns out either the ear cups are just ever so lightly smaller or my ears so slightly bigger, but my ears don't fit perfectly inside the cups. This leads to discomfort after about 30 mins of use, but nothing too bad that I want to take a break after that. The problem is the pressure the head band applies the ear cups to my head (and a little of my ears) I put this down to my big head and maybe bigger then average ears, or my head shape. They are also a little on the heavy side, the metal parts and the huge 50mm's being the reason for this.
Comfort is always the first thing I look for in headphones, if they don't feel comfortable after a while, then whats the point?
Of course, these being AKG, the sound is as balanced, open sound, great presentation. I do like a little more bass then these deliver, but I hear sounds I don't hear with any other headphones I've tried thus far, and its because of this that I appreciate other aspects of sound more, these headphones are a real ear opener!
It's a shame these don't fit me well, I would definitely keep them, but sadly I've returned these back to Amazon because of my own circumstances, and nothing badly designed about these at all. I love the metal finish on not just the headband, but also the ear cup joints and swivel bits! They are super stylish and professional looking. If you haven't got a big head (male group), these are absolutely the best bluetooth headphones hands down, and would give these a solid 5 rating otherwise.
Just be prepared to send back to Amazon if they do squeeze your head too much!

A very nice pair of cans I'm loving the fact that they have no wires. iPad = 2 seconds to connect also same as iphone6 . Mac connection took a little longer to find but they're paired now so it works great.
The only downside with the Mac is that if you go out of the room they start to lose connection unless you stand really still. This is not the case with my iPhone and iPad so i suspect its the bluetooth in the mac is not powerful enough.
Build quality is immense solid as a rock.
I also have the Y45BT and they're paired with all my devices also its soo easy to switch between the two.

Having recently had the chance to use some Beats by Dr. Dre. I'm glad I picked these instead the build quality of the AKG's is far superior than the plastic fragile feeling Beats.
The sound isolation is much better also as well as the overall sound quality. The battery life on the bluetooth mode isfantastic but definitely sounds better with the headphone cable plugged in and the best part, much cheaper than the Beats.

Had to return as the earpiece cushion was coming away from the body of the phones. Not impressed with the build quality compared to AKG550/450's that I have previously owned, and the sound quality wasn't worth the extra £100 over the Sony bluetooth phones I have replaced them with.

Headphones AKG me unpleasantly surprised this time, I have headphones that company and work flawlessly, but this time it turned out differently. Of course there are wireless coverage but unfortunately it is not as described for 30 yards lost just around the fridge which is only a few meters away from the computer to which you are connected, the sound is already broken, and unfortunately you can not listen to music and enjoy their favorite performers. Another unpleasant surprise it turned out that after two weeks, she started to crack because the housing is made of Chinese plastic is not flexible and without any sound reinforcement. I tried to glue it but unfortunately breaks in the same place I tried also to strengthen the structures but ends up the same. So dear client if you want to buy a wireless headset and spend 130 pounds for not wearing a look of something solid for the price and it is best if you have the opportunity to see in the shop so do before gonna get upset that cheaper headphones are better made. Unfortunately, my opinion of the handsets of the company is negative and I do not intend anything Change.I regret only just that I can not get their pay because I feel sorry for the money spent for heaphones that look now as the crap from the rubbish bin

I got these for christmas and the sound quality was very good and distance i could travel was also good. They look very nice and are extremely comfortable, they work with probably all Bluetooth devices and the battery lasts several hours - the charge time is also quite good. They do get hot after a long time of use and they are bulky, this does alow them to turn and move in order to fit the shape of your head though. It also gets very loud and you can change the bolume on the headphones itself. They are quite expensive but better deal than beats especially for wireless. I'm not sure whether they have a built in microphone - if anyone knows please answer my question. In general I would recommend!

For £150 I consider these a real bargain. You need to spend at least £100 more to get similar sound quality on other headphones. These are even cheaper than the version without bluetooth (K545).
The sound with the cable attached is very very good. Usually AKG are a bit weak on the bass side, but not with these ones. Don't get me wrong, if you like plenty of bass I would probably still go for some V-Modas, or maybe Sennheiser (Momentums are pretty decent) but you'll have to spend more money and forget about Bluetooth. For anyone else you'll get bass enough out of these. The mids are really clear and clean, although there is just a small emphasis on the mid-highs who favor wind instruments and with some recordings vocals can sound kind of a little bit 'high pitched', but never harsh or artificial. The treble is just right balanced for me, not tiring at all. Sound is also quite open for being a closed type headphone.
The only thing you may have to take into account is that they need a good recording quality to shine. If you have a lot of low bit rate MP3s you may want to look for some more forgiving cans as these ones will expose the issues on the recording.
I use them half of the time with bluetooth instead of the cable and music quality, as expected, is a little bit lower than with the cable but really hard to notice the difference unless you really look for it, so very good on this aspect too. Pairing them with your player is very easy and controls work well, but there is only volume adjust. For skipping songs you'll need to use your player. Not important for me, but it might be for others.
I have yet to find headphones than can compete with these ones and doesn't cost nearly double the money, but tastes in headphones vary a lot so I would say try before buy if you can.

Had a pair of analogue Panasonic, they hissed underneath music all the time and automatically shut off with a frightening noise, returned post haste! Well these are crystal clear, a beautiful warm, full sound. Easily pick out dialogue even on streamed film with not so clear soundtrack. Really excellent headphones. Comfortable, easy to set up. Recommended.

Best sounding wireless I have ever tried. Clearly better than My Nokia Beats or my current Sony MRBT-1. But, had to return them due to them making my ears and the top of my head ache. Try them on before you buy. The sound is beyond expectations.

First impression, this was not as big as it appeared online. The minimalistic design and good built quality wasn't difficult to notice.
Sound was tested with wide range of music including classical, jazz, pop, R&B etc., with Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) through MacBook Pro, iPad mini and iPhone 5S.
The bluetooth connection was stable and produced impressive wide and balanced sound stage, though some imperfect recordings may sounded a little bright and a tad harsh. Otherwise, no obvious distortion or signal interference.
When plugged in with audio jack, the headphone transformed into a higher class, with significant audible difference. Frequency range remained wide and balanced, but with more substance and tighter bass. Unlike bluetooth playback, there was hardly any harshness.
The battery lasted at least 8 hours continuous use, even before fully charged. So far, it's impressive and worth every penny in my opinion.

Very very happy. These were a birthday present for my sound obsessed boyfriend who kept breaking the cable on his connected headphones. He originally choose an expensive pair in sony's, much to his disappointment! I chose these knowing how much he loved his K451's. He absolutely LOVES these! Beatiful cleat crisp sound, incredible bass and lovely and loud even when using Bluetooth. Perfect.

These headphones are plasticky, yet there's a point to that: to keep the weight down. Even though the earcups are circular, they're still comfortable to wear due to their soft, fabric-covered finish. They feel very delicate - and I believe they are. It feels as if even minor mishandling could damage them, so you'll want to treat them with kid gloves; and you've got good reason to, as I detail below.
One of the added attractions of the K935s is the combined charging base/transmitter that comes with them. As another reviewer has mentioned, it has a European plug on it, so you will definitely need an adapter for the UK. The base works well, though it can be awkward placing the headphones into the correct position for charging. The headphones' delicate nature means that you need to take care whenever placing the 'phones onto the base and whenever removing them.
As nice as the charging base/transmitter is, it's dwarfed in importance by the best feature of these headphones: the quality of the audio. It really is fabulous. It's clear, expansive, and bassy but not too bassy. The headphones are perfect for listening to music, and are virtually indistinguishable from wired equivalents. Added to this is their stable wireless connection; only once in many hours' listening has the audio (very briefly) dropped out.
AKG has come up with an absolute winner with the K935s. They're comfortable, sound fabulous, and the charging base makes it easy to keep them charged up. The only downside in their relative fragility, which necessitates care when handling them, but their excellent audio quality makes them worthy of some zealous protectiveness.

Punchy!?.. YES!!! Soundstage?? Not a big wide sphere, very close to head but covers all around your head... Separation - - - >like divorced lovers!! So Separated but just that much cohesiveness!! Compared to havi b3 pro 1, the latter is more of the monitor and wins for purity... The akg is more fun!! Am happy to have both and then the meelectronics m9 too.. That is in a class of its own.. 150 pounds 40 pounds and 10!! All greater than the good but average Sony mdr 1a (which I bought too) and the klipsch mode 40, which both cost a good 100 to 150..
Am happy with all these three!! (note - akg was wired for the above review and was not on Bluetooth)...

Being totally obsessed with headphones I decided to give these a go,usually I only like Bose & Sony but AKG have now joined my like list. I'm pretty sure I can hear things I couldn't on my other Bluetooth headphones. It's a warm pleasant sound which is great for my various musical genre. They look better in real life but I can't help thinking AKG who! That's the Bose/Sony snob in me. Only negative is no fwd/rew for any device (only volume). All in all I'm glad i took a punt with these.

Purchased these to replace a pair of £60.00 Logitecs , after charging red led stayed on and would not turn off even with the power disconnected. I was very disappointed these sounded as good not better than the logitecs.
The logitecs are louder and sound just as good, also with the Logitecs I can skip tracks which If the AKGs sounded better I would have lived with ...
Lot of money for a very quiet pair of headphones that are faulty as well...
Spoke to AKG customer service and was eventually told after the guy spoke to someone else and was asked can you live with the led on all the time ? if not return them as they are faulty ..might be Austrian design but still made in China...

Bought these after a lot of research and comparing different makes and models.
Well built, robust and should last longer than the Bose ones they replace.
Paired with tablet, laptop and desktop with some effort required on the last two (needed drivers downloaded)
Sound is OK, nothing special.
Fairly comfortable, have worn for two straight hours.
At this price I would have expected a case

Not as great as I thought it would be.
It feels very fragile and could snap into two without putting much force.
However, the sound quality is good, even when its on bluetooth.
It struggles a bit when you are moving around using bluetooth.
So either I have a defective product or it is NOT as great as reviewers had put it

Excellent headphones at a very reasonable price. I have bought them as I was not satisfied with the cheaper ones I bought previously
& the difference is tremendous . Also half open design is very comfortable while wireless link works very smoothly - I have been researching

Brilliant sound quality, strong build quality and fantastic bluetooth connectivity. This is highly recommended, only reason 4 star and not 5 is due to flashing blue LED, not great for listening to music before bedtime.

My first wireless headphones and never before have I indulged myself in to listening wire free. Setup very easy from my android phone and also the headphones are strong and not flimsy. Had to fiddle with the music settings on my phone to get the music to play better as have DSEE HX available through Walkman app. So far can't fault as near enough same as using wired device. The headset covers my ears easily and after using for good few hours, no aches or pains.
Headphones also useful for cold mornings!
Also looks good...couple of remarks of looking slightly like a Cyberman.

for the money i paid they are worth it, sqeeks a little but other than that they are great headphones, dont buy anything else in this price range if you want wireless too

these are wonderful headphones; comfortable, well made with an excellent natural sound totally untroubled by anything you can throw at them. They are just right for me, but those seeking their music 'pumped-up' may want to go for a louder more bassey effort.

- GREAT sound! Really clear throughout - crystal clear vocals even alongside really deep bass (eg Purity Ring, Portishead).
Battery life is amazingly good, BT is a good as cable on my phone, not so great on 2011 iMac - but that's the macs fault. Volume and pause is controlled through the headset. Next / Prev tracks are missing, but not a deal breaker for the price.
Bass is excellent, not boosted like some (so you can hear what the songs actually sound like) - can always EQ if you prefer
over the top bass. Mid & highs are clear and crisp throughout, I can't find fault with the sound.
I can hear a lot of detail in areas that before (through a decent 5.1 system & other headphones) were missing.
What HiFi said they were too hot - I don't agree. The head band could be thicker padding - but its still comfortable,
and will possibly soften up with use.
Because they are so clear, you can hear compression obviously when listening to low bit-rate material.

When I try to turn it on in bluetooth mode only the left side works, 7 times from 10.
I've already figured out that I can "fix" it by plugging the jack in and removing it, sometimes I have to do it several times to make right side work.

The pro: Very good sound quality, low noise and comfy.
the bad: its fragile. The headband broke after the first few weeks, I used it maybe 15 times. I use a headphone usually 5+ years without any damage so I was surprised how it broke, I just took it off from my average sized head with two hands, without any hard movements. I thought I just picked a bad quality one. The service replaced the headband for free (but it took 1.5 months) and now after I used it again for about 10-20 times, even more careful... it broke again. It is like glass. I'm very-very disappointed.

After trying quite a few Bluetooth headphones in this price range the AKG K845 came out top for sound... relatively neutral but with good bass. A close second for sound was the Philips Fidelio M1BTBL/00 Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones Compatible with APT-X / ACC for Music / Phone Calls Blue (On-ear, almost as impressive sound, smaller, well made, not quite as comfortable, also doesn't fully fold) although because of the better controls I would be just as tempted to pick this one. The Jabra Revo Wireless Stereo Headphones (On-ear, small, fully folding, awesome controls, upper bass is a bit much and muddies the sound) came third although if you want a fully foldable headphone its the only decent one at this price I think. The Sony MDR10RBT Wireless Headphones with V3.0 Bluetooth and NFC while comfortable/light had appalling sound and was too plasticy for my liking.

These headphones provide a decent bass and good middle and high. Bluetooth reception and NFC connectivity superb, however audio quality depends on the bluetooth device on your computer or mobile, for me from samsung s4 its excellent and computer poor. Wired gives you more quality to music. i recharged for nearly 3 hours and its now playing for more than 5 hours and going on, no signs of battery discharge so far.
Compared to my Bose QC15 noise cancelling, its the same quality of sound in all levels and noise cancelling hardly makes any difference, however i didnt try AKG in flight. These are slightly heavy to QC15 and Bose fits more comfortable. Bose SiE2 and AE2W bluetooth ones are nowhere in front of AKG, AE2W i tried side by side with same music., AKG K845BT is far superior.
** Please note K845BT with no carrycase and slightly big earcups, however they fold flat.
Among my 3 phones, i love this one as it has no wires and good quality of music. Am not a professional, kindly ignore if you come across any mistakes and different opinions. Hope you enjoy ur new headphones.. :)

The headphones are wonderful, all I could have hoped for. Almost as good as my best corded 'phones (AKG 451).
The documentation (Quick Start Guide) is missing some important details, which I'll document here:
1. As long as you are charging the 'phones, the bluetooth is inoperative.
2. Once you've stopped charging the phones, a single press of the bluetooth button turns the bluetooth on/off.

I bought them because they earned the top prize in the EASA awards in 2014. They are really good: full sound, very smooth and easy pairing with BT and NFC devices. OK for phone calls but much better with music (this is the purpose, isn't it?) i have not yet treid them with FLAC files, only with MP3 ones I carry on my phones but will do soon to check the depth of the bass and the clarity of the strings.

It will be hard to get used with the sound canceling option when they are turned off. Also not so good isolation.
The most annoying feature of them are that they tend to close the sound channel if the channel is not used for 20 seconds for any music so you need to reconnect again to the computer and it's a little bit frustrating as you can't listen to music nonstop.
The manual is really rudimental.
The battery is really good, i'm amazed about the battery quality.
If you can get over the minuses the headsets are a good price.

Incredible sound if you can appreciate the natural bass and clean audio. Not gonna blow your ears off and very comfortable although a little hot at times. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time! Like 3 times as long as expected!

Great sound and work properly all around the house. But after a few days both headphones won't plug into the charger, so only one would. Stopped working 8 months after purchase (I replaced batteries, but still nothing).

Having paid more for less I can truthfully say better that these are the best earphones I have had for the money spent, simple Bluetooth connectivity , fantastic all round performance regardless of type of music proffered. My only gripe is the inability to skip tracks from the headphones but not a big deal really.

I like these headphones because they are ideal for when I travel. They keep out most extraneous noise and are comfortable even for a long train journey. Although larger than many headphones the quality more than makes up for it. The sound is very good, bright with good bass and separation. The bluetooth connection has, so far, been very relieable and works with my iPhone, Ipad, iPod and computers without any drop-off or failure. Can take a minute or two to connect first time but once connected is very stable.
