This is very good Drive it works and fits into Mac Book Pro it was very easy to swap the drives, I found useful tutorials in youtube so I did it without loosing my old data it was very easy to migrate data from old to new including my applications.

I ordered this hard drive to replace my third failed hard drive. As a Macbook user, I have had three Hitachi drives stop working. Once my AppleCare expired, the replacements were no longer free. I decided to look into replacing it myself and came across this particular model. By doing it myself (which was fairly easy), I was able to save a good amount of money on a hard drive four times the size of my previous one.

Easy to install , but thats because it's a Mac. Larger enough to partition to two drives so I can have Lion and Snow Leopard available for legacy apps I have.

I put it into my Macbook Pro 2009 (mid-year) 5 months ago and still can't fill it even up to 50%.It seems a bit faster than original hard drive, but definitely quitter. I'm planning to buy another one for my wife's Macbook soon.

I purchased this hard drive as a secondary drive in my Lenovo T520 laptop on Ubuntu 12.04 OS. It works perfectly. I had to order a hard drive caddy separately to fix it in the laptop.

Exactly what the description says. I replaced a harddrive in a portable unit and this fit in with no problems, increasing my storage space 3 fold.

i give it a 4 out of 5 because its nice it works but only has a little over 800 GB available out of the spouse to be 1000 GB it works grate got it for my ps3

This drive offers plenty of space and is quiet to boot (pun!). I'm using it in my 2009 macbook pro 17" without any issues. I've had it in there for about 3 months with it about 75% full. Everything seems great so far.

I like this because I can get a 1TB drive into most laptops. That makes a big difference to what I can do with laptops

My Acer Aspire 4530 came with a WD 320GB Scorpio Blue, so when I ran out of room, this 1TB Scorpio Blue was the natural choice. It's quiet and my fans seem to run less than they did with the 320GB. I'd highly recommend it.

I had already upgraded the first hard drive to a SSD, but now the secondary storage was kind of lacking (and I didn't want to go to external for some of my projects). I have had no problems with this drive in the Mac Mini.

This product makes me happy. I really had myself worried about its performance and size, but it performed and fit perfectly. I got this HDD as an upgrade for my PS3 Slim,. (I had 5 gigs left on my 120 GB HDD) So I ran the backup utility, then replaced the stock HDD with this HDD, rebooted, installed the update, ran the backup-restore utility, and it works flawlessly. It seems to have really good read speed, and now I have a whopping 726 GB left after putting in system data, and system restore data. I am pleased, and I'm still playing CoD with all my data. XDGotta love western digital.Cons: It has 931 GB. as apposed to 1,000. But really, who cares? :P

A 1 TB hard drive in a 9.5 mm size. It's a remarkable feat of technology, and yet we have here the most reliable hard drive in its class. 15 years ago western digital was complete crap, today they have the lowest failure rate in the entire industry. Of course all hard drives will eventually fail so you must always have a backup, but from now on I will only ever trust my data to western digital.

I love this hard drive that has great capacity and compact size. It fits in most laptops, or at least in the Gateway P7908u fx.
