This is a good hard-drive, though I had an episode with it. Partially it was my fault and partially it was my enclosure. This was my first hard-drive, so I didn't know that I had to Format it. Nor did I know that you have to have some type of free downloadable software to format it as well. But, I guess that is what learning is all about. It is now working seemingly well. So I would suggest buying this because I caught it at around 80 bucks. That was the cheapest I seen it. Now it is back at 133, which is still a bargin, but 80 buck... I couldn't pass it up. I almost hurt my self jumping for my credit card to get this thing.I was a good buy.

This drive was advertised at 7400 RPM but is really only a 5400 RPM drive. This is the first time something like this has happened to me at amazon.com.

Replaced the original 650GB hard drive to a 1TB hard drive in my Toshiba laptop. So I decided to replace the 4GB memory to an 8GB memory. So far my laptop is operating faster than ever!

We ran out of HDD space on our Macbook Pro 17 inch (original drive was 160GB HDD). While we did not do the actual installation as instead opted for Mac Station $85 no worry installation.Once the drive was loaded did notice it was quite slow at the start of the Lion operation system, however found out that drive needed Defrag, so Drive Genius took care of this.Drive is very quiet, it is working great and I have given my 2007 Fall Macbook Pro 17 inch a whole new life! Just ordered a replacement 4GB memory to boost it up to the maximum 6GB.Figure it saves me about $2,400 which would be the cost to replace notebook with similar (and remember that Apple does not offer a 1TB HDD option).One important note is that Apple Store Genius Bar will not do the HDD upgrade (strange as they lost the service fee to Mac Station)!

I bought this hard drive to expand the storage for my PS3 Slim. It was a perfect fit and very easy. Now I have tons of space for my music, pictures, movies, videos and games!

Finally, a 1TB 2.5" drive that is a standardized 9.5mm instead of the original 12.5mm of the old 1TB. The older model of this drive worked fine but would not fit in many devices because it was taller than the standard 2.5" Laptop Hard Drive. This drive fixes that issue by fitting within the normal laptop drive space. Perfect. Thank you Western Digital.

I used it with the Ps3 slim, no problems... just make sure you follow all the back up instructions before you make the exchange, you can find tips on line.. so far it was worked pretty good...

With a quick conversion kit I removed my optical drive in my 2009 MacBookPro and my dreams were answered. I was able to get rid of an external FW800 or USB2.0 drive to hold my main video library while doing gigs. One less set of cabling to worry about while at work and plenty of room left to add on new material each week. Playback in Serato 2.3.3 + Mix Emergency 2.0 is great, so don't worry that it's not 7200rpm.

Just ordered a warranty replacement for this unit. Got the original almost two years ago. Been going bad and frustrating me for about nine months. Hoping this one lasts, but at least it is covered by a three year warranty. Going to try some new strategies when I travel like powering down all the way as moving the laptop while the HDD is spinning can cause the type of problems I had.

For a laptop drive at 1TB, this drive was perfect.The drive feels just as responsive as the stock drive from my Macbook Pro 17". I have noticed no performance issues and the extra storage has been extremely helpful.No increase in noise/warmth from the drive.Installation was as simple as removing the bottom cover, removing two internal screws, and switching out the drives. Once closed up, booted into OSX Lion from a thumb drive and reinstalled OSX Lion. Was back up and running in less than 1 hour.

I finally ran out of room in my MBP (upgraded 18 months ago from default 250GB to 500GB (largest at the time).You need an internal HD no taller than 9mm for my older model MacBook Pro (circa- 2007).This drives fit perfectly, and works like a champ!Been installed and operating for a few weeks with no issues.Speed seems better, but probably because I am not running out of space for temp files!I wish I could get a faster drive (7200 RPM) but I have heard that the heat difference is significant (and I am already warm now).I am very happy with the purchase!

I am using this HD a second drive on my MacBook pro (mid 2009) with a hard drive caddy from OWC. The drive fits perfectly, and is working as expected. Very simple upgrade to my MacBook pro.

The Western Digital 1TB Scorpio Blue Replacement Drive worked very well as a replacement drive in my Macbook Pro. Replaced the 500 GB drive that came with it. Received the drive from the vendor very quickly.

This Hard Drive will fit in the PS3 Slim model's, i test it out with my PS3 & plan on buy 1 more Hard Drive for my new PS3 Slim i getting. Own 2 PS3 Slim; so both Slims should 1TB Hard Drive to make it awesome. :) But this time around i going to test Samsung SpinPoint SATA 5400rpm 8 MB Cache 1 TB 2.5-Inch Hard Drive with Western Digital 1 TB to see which is the best.

The best 1 TB I have seen I purchase two of them for my laptops @ 5400 RPM. I hope that Western digital comes with one @ 72000, 5TB @ 10000 RPMand one 10 TB @ 15000 RPM.

I've been waiting for a 1tb Drive to fit in my 13" MBP for a long time, and this one does fit. The issue I have is that the drive is mounted in an OptiBay in the disk drive slot and I can hear every movement this drive makes. There isn't any vibration and transfer times are ok, but the noise from the drive is very noticeable over the stock drive that was in the Optibay up until this point. For those who are concerned with the noise I cannot recommend. Will have to wait a few days to see if I can adjust to it.

Fits perfectly into all 40, 60, and 80 GB Fat Models, this review does not excludede the slim models, however I do not own a slim and therefore am unable to test the compatibility. The PS3 automatically formats the HDD upon start up and takes roughly 30 seconds!
