I'm not sure if it's my camera (Sony A100), but the card is really slow. With my other card that's rated at 120x (4 GB), reviewing pictures is very fast. With this one, it takes a few seconds sometimes to get to the picture.I also found out that it has a limit on number of files even when the card is not full. I was keeping all of my pictures on it in a different folder, emptying the folder that the camera saved them to. But after a while it started saying there was a card error. I would take out the card, put it back in, and take a picture, and the error would be back. After taking off the folder of pictures, the error went away.

I replaced a 15GB hard drive with the Transcend 32GB compact flash card and have had flawless performance for over a year. The memory has not failed and takes very little power to operate. As a result the iPod battery last over 8 hours. It use to last 1 hour with the hard drive.The price is very affortable when you compare the price of a simular storage sized NEW iPod.My old 3G iPod has a new life and I see this working for many years to come...

I have about 500 mp3 songs on it. I think it will go up to a 1000. Not sure the limit though. Have had zero problems with it.

I got this card so that I would not have to worry about my photo space running out. It would not work, it said that it had to be formatted. I put it in the card reader and could not get it formatted there either. Sorry but for me it was a waste of my money. Missed photos of my son's Boot camp Graduation from the Marines.

For the last 9+ months (as of this writing) I have been using this particular Transcend 8GB card (2 of them) and the 4GB (also 2 of them) exclusively in my Nikon D300. I have not experienced one problem and have taken almost 3,000 images so far.I also shoot only RAW which yields 12-15MB size images and again have had zero problems with the card both while shooting and while uploading to the computer.Since I've had such success with this card I'm going to buy 2 more for an upcoming vacation.

well, i gave this card 4 stars instead of 5, simply because i am still learning the whole "compact flash" scene. so, it might actually deserve 5 stars. confused yet? i am!but seriously, i am happy with it. i use it in my tacam dp-02 cf 8 track digital recorder. this is the first "compact flash" unit i have owned.i am just kind of learning about how to format these things. it has not crashed on me yet, so i suppose that warrants a good review.i also own a pro max CF card. i cannot honestly say, yet, that one brand is better than another. maybe i will find out differently eventually.so far, i like CF. i mean, no physical moving parts, no spinning disk...i sort of conceptualized this 15 years ago, when i had a hard drive crash! little did i know...

This card is a great value for 32gb and wonderful for the large files produced by the Canon 5D Mark II. The slow read/write speed means the camera buffer takes a bit longer to clear and it's somewhat slow uploading to the computer, but it's not a problem with proper planning for these limitations. The one concern I had with the speed was if it could keep up with the 38mb/s video recording of the 5DII, which it does just fine.

It is really a shame that the 1Gb memory cards are being phased out. The photo kiosks at places like Wal-Mart and Walgreens can not handle more than 1Gb at this time. They will eventuallty change, but this size is best when working with them right now.

I've only had these for about three weeks, but they seem to work well: data transfer is as fast as my Canon 20D can handle, and I haven't had any problems with reading data off them.I can't yet speak for long term lifespan, but the seem pretty good so far!EDIT 12/29/2012: I sold these with the camera in August of this year. All four of the ones I bought still worked perfectly, and I'd never had a problem with them. I just wish my new camera (Canon 60d) was able to use them!

Not sure if it is my misfortune or the 32GB cards are just bad. Card # 1 mounted on the PC as 'unreadable' (a sign of death according to those that know). I wanted to format it before use as recommended by Transcend. Tried it in the camera just in case it was an XP problem and the camera crashed - never ever seen that happen before. Amazon quickly sent out a replacement for the dead card however card #2 would not mount on the PC at all. I did use a different PC this time around just in case the PC was faulty. I also tried three different PCs, nothing worked.So now I am awaiting a refund. Would not trust Transcend to store any data whether photographs or backup of PC data. Of course YMMV but I am keeping clear of anything these people make.

I bought this to use in my new Olympus E-510. I took a few pictures, uploaded them to my computer. Then put the card back in the camera. The camera said the card needed to be formatted. So I did - and took a few pictures and tried to upload again. This time the computer said the card couldn't be read. When I put it back in the camera, the camera said the card needed to be formatted. I'm glad I was just shooting pictures for eBay and not on vacation or something.I exchanged the card through Transcend but haven't had a chance to test the replacement. I think they have some serious quality control issues. It appears that these cards either work perfectly or fail miserably.It's a really good price for a big, fast card. If you don't mind doing Transcend's quality control for them, it's not a bad deal.

It works fine for both photos and videos in my Canon EOS 5D Mark II 21.1MP Full Frame CMOS Digital SLR Camera (Body Only).This CF card is a great value but it's slower than other brands. However, if you have an UDMA card reader (such as the SanDisk SDDRX3-CF-A31 Extreme USB 2.0 Reader (Black), the file transfer to your computer is pretty fast.I also have a Sandisk card that I use as I believe it's good to have one 'name' brand card too, which I trust a bit more although I've had no problems with this Transcend card.

Purchased card and used with Canon Rebel XTI. Card would corrupt 2-3 images out of every 100. Tried reformatting etc. and finally called the retailer. Initially told my camera could not handle this capacity card then when I pointed out it's done fine with Lexar/Kingston cards, I was told they would replace it. Replacement did the same thing! If you can tolerate loosing 2-3% percent of your photos this is a cheap card with large storage capacity.

Bought this 8GB for my Canon EOS Digital Rebel(300D). Amazon service was great, item just arrived on time... Price was cheapest @ Amazon.The CF is working very well till now. Formatted many times, copy into PC with no problems. Detected by the camera normally.One thing to tell, if you shoot more than 300 photo (aprox) & you keep shooting, the access becomes slower a bit; I think it's the camera & not the card (cause am using the highest resolution for the pics...), so it has to process all the old pics to save the new ones.... Just wanted to mention it...Q: Do i recommend this item to a friend???A: Sure i do, & from Amazon.Cheers.NAZ.

I use this in my Rebel XTi and while it's not the fastest card, it's definitely fast enough. If you're looking at this card it's for the low price, and to that end I say don't hesitate any longer: buy it.

I am concerned with two time measurements. The first is how long the CF card takes to record the image after I press the shutter release. The second is how long it takes to download the contents of my CF card to my computer using a card reader.I bought the Transcend because the record times appear to be very similar to the SanDisk, and I thought I could save some money. The Trascend was less than half of the price.The Transcend has great recording times. No complaints there. But to download data from the Transcend to my computer using a card reader takes about 8 - 10 x as long as the SanDisk. I don't know why, nor do I really care.If money is the driving factor in your purchase, and you don't care about download times, then buy the Transcend. If time is money or if you can't wait 45 - 60 minutes to download 4 GB of data from the disk to your computer via a card reader, buy the SanDisk.
