Would purchase this from this vendor again! I use it in Canon SLR camera's. It will hold around 200-300 RAW photo's depending upon the RAW file size that you are shooting with.

I use this in a Nikon D70. It has not caused me any trouble yet. I can't tell you if it would work worse on a newer camera, or if this camera could even accept a bigger card, but there is definitely a place and time for a 2GB card.

I purchased this CF card along with a few others before taking pictures at a wedding. I bought the (Transcend 8gb 133x) and a pair of (Sandisk 4gb 30mb/s). I was taking many setup pictures of where the wedding was before anyone got there, and was planing on only using the Transcend card for single pictures at a time with no movie mode or 3.5/or/8.0fps burst.I had the Transcend card in my 7d when the groom arrived and wanted pictures with him and his best man. I was taking a few pictures on single exposure mode one after the other (10+ in a row) and the card locked up. I would have replaced the card with the higher rated Sandisk but I did not have time to go back and get the card. Because of the lockup (was not even sure it was the card for a few minutes) I had lost some great pictures of the best man and the groom that I will never get back. Although I did have a second camera around my neck but it was to late by that time (still got some good pictures with the backup). When I got the the hotel to download all the pictures to the two separate hard drives for back up the write times were not bad at all and on average to the other cards I have used. So if that is a concern of yours. Do not worry about that.TO SUM IT UP:My point that I am trying to get at, is that this card is a great card ONLY if you are going to be taking a few pictures at at time and waiting for the buffer in the camera to empty out. I tested the camera and card to it's limits at the wrong time and it bit me in the ass. The card should have been able to handle the pictures. The movie mode was something I know it can not handle well also. So if you are taking lots of pictures, one after the other, buy another card. BUT if you only take a picture here and there and can wait a few seconds for it to buffer, this is a great card for you.

Introduction:I recently purchased a new Canon 5D Mark II camera. And while I love it the images are huge and my old 8GB cards would only hold around 250 - 260 photos. I got sick and tired of having to swap out cards just when I'm lining up the prefect shot.Review:I received this new Transcend 32GB card yesterday and promptly loaded it into my 5D Mark II, formatted it and headed to the zoo. This card did NOT disappoint! It was so good to see the images remaining counter max out at 999 on my 5D Mark II for the first time. And you can shoot high definition videos and multiple images just like you can on a faster card!!In Camera Speed:My faster cards "Transcend 266X Extreme Speed 8 GB cards" do NOT seem faster in the 5D Mark II then this 32GB 133x card at all. I get the exact same 13 RAW or 52 JPEG's before slowing down in continuous shooting! Now once it slows down of course it's slower, but, I usually only need a burst of 5 to 10 shots to get something anyway. Think about your shooting style and go from there, fast and furious order something faster otherwise this card just might fit the bill.I blazed through the zoo using my normal style of 3 to 5 shots a burst getting over a thousands stills with no noticeable difference in speed and felt the freedom at last to just shoot and shoot.I also recorded an HD video of 14 minutes no problem and a to the limit low res 29 min 59 second video. There is NO hesitation and no difference.Download Computer Speed:I then headed home. And that's where the one weakness reared its head. Downloading to my Mac. It was half the speed of my 266x card when downloading to the computer. But hey I'm at home now and speed is not an issue. I simply start the download, go put away my gear, grab a snack and drink from the kitchen and it's done.Recommendation:If you need a lot more room on your Compact Flash card and are sick and tired of running out of space and download speed isn't an issue this card is for you. I highly recommend especially for Canon 5D Mark II owners.5-2-2009 Update:I found out there are some situations that this car is not fast enough for after all especially when saving 25 mb raw files in rapid succesion. While great for land scapes or museum and even renaissance festivals it's just not fast enough when the pace really heats up. I recently photographed Hugh Jackman and the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine at the World Premiere in Tempe AZ and there were moments where I could have gotten some really cool shots that I missed because the card was still writing. On the other hand I'm sure I got some shots I might not have gotten if I had a load of smaller faster cards and was swapping them out. I still love this card especially for landscapes and slow paced photography and will keep it but am now looking for a faster, high capacity brother card to compliment it. [...]

I filled the memory card using my Canon 5D..After formating via my camera the information screen indicates only 7 GB storage capability. I also have an 8GB memory card from the same manufacturer & have not had any problems (probably have formated 20+ times over the past 2 years)After contacting Canon technical support I found out what the problem was..The Canon 5d, 20d (perhaps other models produced before 2005, I did not ask) can only handle 8GB. Another reviewer (see comments in this thread below) posted a Firmare update which is supposed to solve the problem. I have not tried it yet. A big thumbs down to Canon tech support for not informing me of the update.

I'm a pro photographer. And I purchased this memory to use with my Nikon D300 for travel. I have another, higher end Transcend memory (400x) and it works fine for a year already. But this one gave me 5 corrupted files out of 60. This card was send for the exchange.I'm waiting to get a new replacement. I have much older cards, and they all work fine with my D300. My recommendation if you buy this card, test it before use, to make sure it is not defective. Thanks.

This card is not 133x (Class 20). It is Class 4 at best. Now I see how they can sell it so cheap.I suspected something was wrong at first when I was recording paltry 640x480 video on my Canon 5D.. This is a 2MB/s task.. I got the little 'buffer filling' warning on the right hand side of the display, indicating the card was not keeping up with the bit stream! What the heck!? This is ridiculous for x480. A good rule of thumb for compressed video is 2Mb/s for 480P, 4Mb/s for 720P, 8Mb/s for 1080P. Find those numbers any number of places. 133x should give me 20MB/s+So, sick that I had just wasted my money, I plugged the CF to my PC and ran CrystalDiskMark with a 50MB file size, representative of a RAW+JPEG write. To my shock and horror, the card is a CLASS 4! (26x). Ran it again simulating a video stream, same result. Now I understood why the card could not keep up with my Canon DSLR.I posted the picture proof in the 'customer images' go check it out. If you have an older camera or only need x480 this card would work; but will you patronize a company that lies to you?Unfortunately, shipping is more than the cost of the card; I'll keep this as an emergency backup for when I forget my quality card.

I purchased this card for use with the Canon 5D Mark II. The Transcend works fine for photography. Hhowever, with the video footage I shot on this card, I noticed that the card was not quite fast enough. The images outside the depth of field are pixelated. Round images within the range of focus were also pixelated. I would recommend spending the extra money and going with a SanDisk if you intend to use a compact flash card for video production.

So I own 15 of those cards (a pro photographer). I started to buy them in late 2008 and was surprised how fast they were for the money. I constantly received 30Mbps downloading speed and they were fast enough to keep up with my Canon 5D cameras in Raw. I was happy. But each time I bough a new stock of cards. Usually three each time, the speed gradually went down. Second time I've purchased, it was about 28Mbps, then 25.... I am now at 18Mbps... I am so frustrating. The funny part is, TRANSCEND agrees then newer cards slower... They refused to replace... Needless to say, my old cards still perform at 30Mbps down.So if you buy a card like this seeing this wonderful reviews, keep in mind, it is no longer a case. In fact, its a marketing trick to make you buy faster cards. I think it is very deceiving. I use to like Transcend a lot. Not anymore.

I bought this compact flash card with enough room to store all my vacation pictures and not need to have them downloaded from time to time to a CD. The unit arrived and I installed it, tried a couple of pics and worked right so I went on vacation. When I started to use it for real pictures, after the fourth or fifth I got an error "data corrupted" and the pics where missing. I lost 50% of the pictures I took.As I had disposed of the original shipping documents I thought there was nothing I could do so I simply told my story in the Seller Feedback page. Then the seller "Thememstore" contacted me by email and asked me to call them back. So I did and they told me they would send me a prepaid return envelop and that they would reimburse me upon receipt. I told them I was going to be in Miami (gave the correct address) for a week and that I would need to receive that during that week because after that I would return to my home country (Argentina) and would loose any chances of returning it, but they assured me that I would receive the return envelop.Unfortunately I did never receive the envelop, so I could not return the unit...

This memory card holds so many photos that my camera reads 999 on the lcd screen and after 20 photos it still reads the same. Probably will hold more photos than I will ever take during one event. Seems to work just as fast as my SanDisk and Lexar high speed cards. Was a great price and I also had a gift card so it cost me less than $3.00.

I have an olympus DSLR, and these cards give me very frequent "card errors" that require me to stop using the card, use a photo recovery program to recover some of the images, and reformat the card. And by "very frequent", I mean almost every single time I use the camera. I am not too bright, so it took me awhile to realize that it was the cards themselves that were to blame (I thought it was the camera at first). I have since purchased a Sandisk Ultra II card and it works flawlessly. Unfortunately, it took awhile for this problem to become apparent, and I purchased several of these Transcend cards (and the same exact problem happens with each and every Transcend CF card that I own) which are now worthless to me. Transcend does not respond to requests for help with this problem, either, despite their "lifetime warranty".They are cheaper than other cards, but since they are worthless, they still cost way too much.

I originally purchased this card based strictly on price, thinking that all compact flash cards are about the same. I've owned this card for a little less than a year and over the past month have two different incidents where the card failed. In contrast I've had another card for over 5 years (6GB IBM Microdrive) that was very pricey when I bought it and I have never had a problem with it. I'm very careful with my memory cards (format only in the camera, card's either in the camera or in a case, etc.) so I knew it hadn't been mishandled. The first time I wrote it off as a fluke since I only lost a couple of images from the shoot. It was a paying customer but thankfully the images weren't critical to the rest of the shoot since I shot a lot. When it happened again (and instead of 2 images it was 9 that couldn't be read that time) I said I'm done. I ordered a Lexar Professional 8GB card that night. If the images you're shooting aren't that important to you, then by all means, buy the cheapest flash card you can find. But if you can't afford to lose any shots, then spend the extra money and get a high-quality card that you know you can depend on (Lexar or Sandisk are my preferences now) for years to come.

Bought this card in a combo deal with a CF-HDD adapter. Therefore, I'm using it as a cheap SSD for an old laptop. Works, but random write is pretty slow, as expected. Multi-Level-Cell (MLC) cards like this one have a tough time getting decent speed with random writes so combine that with the card's automatic wear leveling and an NTFS file system, and it's gonna take a while to get anything done. Installing Windows took over two hours. I knew that coming into this since I didn't want to shell out loads more money for less space and figured I could deal with the slowness. But god it's so much slower than you think once you get using it.Read speeds, though, are pretty fast. Since access time is instant, that takes most of the delay out of loading Windows or other operating systems since it's just a bunch of tiny files and a 10 ms seek time on a typical HDD limits it quickly. This card doesn't have the fastest sequential read speed out there, but unless you're loading major files such as video or enormous applications, things should be OK. Though if you're looking for performance or have a newer computer, don't buy this over a full-blown Solid State Drive. It's not worth saving the money unless you have an old computer lying around with a fried drive. Also, to those who use these as hard drives, I *strongly* suggest ridding yourself of the swap/paging file in any operating system if you have the RAM to spare. Keep the thing as read-only as you can. It'll significantly boost your performance. The reason this doesn't get a 5/5 is because its write speed is far slower than I was expecting. I was expecting slow, but not practically floppy disk slow.

This card surprised me. I expected it to be considerably slower than my Sandisk Ultra II cards. But once I got a high speed card reader that let me access the full performance of the cards I found that it's actually considerably faster for reading, and only fractionally slower for writing.I get between 5-7 megabytes per second in my write speed tests, which is roughly on par with what I get from my Ultra II cards. But in read performance I got speeds of almost 30 megabytes a second. Compared to around 10 for the Ultra II.I should specify that this was with a UDMA capable card reader, the Lexar Pro UDMA reader, among the fastest USB 2.0 card readers out there. Performance on gear that isn't UDMA compatible may be different. There certainly are faster cards out there, if you're willing to pay for them. For comparison, a fast enough camera can achieve three times the write speed of this card with a card that costs around $85 for an 8 gigabyte model. But you need to ask yourself if you both need that kind of speed and have gear capable of utilizing it.If you're not in the habit of routinely filling the buffer of your camera, if you don't find yourself constantly having to wait for your camera to write enough data to the card for you to be able to take just one more picture, and you're not currently using high end, high speed cards, this is a card to consider.Four stars out of consideration for the price/performance and capacity ratio. It's not the fastest card out there, but for the price it offers performance and capacity that's hard to beat.
