Lag, skip, Jitter and limited sensitivity settings. Great concept but not so practical in FPS games. Learning curve is steep learning curve to make the transition from the mouse to this device. I would wait for a couple of releases before making such an investment.

This is a great piece of hardware for any PC gamer looking to try out motion gaming. Very responsive and not hard to use at all. Would have given it 5 out 5 except the one problem big problem with it is there is only a small group of games that offer native software support for the unit. But the two companies that make it Razer and Sixense make up for by each offering emulator software on both of their websites, making the units compatible with around 200 or more games including some of the newest most popular titles like Batman: Arkham City, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefield 3.

After a few weeks of gaming I've come to the conclusion that this is an amazing controller.Snappy mouse-click buttons, adjustable tension on the analog sticks, configurable back buttons, etc.Some drawbacks I noticed when I got it:You really have to get used to the backbuttons, I just use them to double as the bumperbuttons, because I would get confused.The headphone input is not like the original xbox controller, so you can't use the messenger keyboard pad with this controller.But the BIGGEST concern is the rubber finish on the analog sticks.I've been mainly playing FIFA 12 online with this puppy for the last weeks and the rubber finish on the left analog stick is already wearing off.I've apparently been able to even get THROUGH the rubber finish on the left stick, so I'm concerned that it'll be totally gone withtin the next month or so.For a controller of this quality, I can't understand why they would be cheap about something like that, because it's clearly that they didn't give that enough attention.

On the positive side; It looks sharp, the buttons are illuminated, the D-pad is much better for menu browsing, the triggers feel better than the Microsoft pad and it's lighter.The negatives; Build quality isn't that great. I had mine for a few months and now the left stick moves down by itself. This seems to be an often reported problem. The buttons are light and clicky. Some people might prefer a lighter button but I actually prefer the solid feel of the Microsoft controller. The buttons also have more "wobble" to them. In fact, the Microsoft controller just feels more solid overall. The back and start buttons are also in an awkward place.The cable is also a pretty big drawback. Since going back to the Microsoft controller, it feels good to not worry about repositioning 15 feet of cable all the time since I sit right next to my console and PC when I'm gaming.Conclusion: There's some improvements over the default controller but I think the many issues outweigh the benefits. Especially since they tend to go bust pretty quickly.

This controller is easily the best console controller I have ever seen. The buttons are so quick to press that getting combos in games like Mortal Kombat or quickly doing several things in sequence in Halo becomes almost too easy. The DPad is four different buttons on this controller, which is fantastic, because it virtually eliminates accidentally hitting more than one direction at the same time. The grip is wonderfully comfortable without being overly cushioning, and it is a wonderfully grippy material. The Triggers are very smooth, and while I only use the extra programmable bumpers as extra bumper buttons, I do find it easier to use those than the bumpers on a regular control.I think I will eventually save money due to this purchase not requiring batteries. The wire is a very good length, as I can be sitting or lying down on my bed across my dorm from the xBox and it still reaches. It has an extremely effective quick-release mechanism, however, which eliminates the risk of pulling the xBox off of the desk when the cord gets jerked. If you want to have an incredible controller without having to take out a second mortgage on your house, this is your best bet. While it does require a bit more coin than other types of controllers, the upgrade is well worth the money.

The Razer Onza tournament edition is a fantastic product. I have had a couple of issues with it since i bought it(i am on my third controller), but i will keep purchasing. The first issue was with both joysticks, they quit working after a few weeks right after the product launched, but it was covered by warranty and I recieved a free replacement. The second issue was my own fault(the joystick cracked), but I returned it for a partial refund. Its comfartable to hold and the buttons are super responsive. The adjustable joysticks are great too.Pros: EverythingCons: Nothing

These controllers really, if they didn't have any problems I would have given it a 5 stars. First problem when I got this controller back in April of last year, the connection to my Xbox keep disconnecting regardless of the wired cables are set in correctly and firm. I do have a regular wired microsoft controller to test, so it wasn't the port.The company was good enough to replace my controller, however less than 2 months, the right thumbstick which is use for aiming for COD and Gears is just going on it's own even when your not touching the right thumb-stick. This was very recent as I got the controllers replace on Last week of December 2011. Yes, less than 2 months. Needs to go back on more R&D and make a fix for the thumbstick and re-inforce it.

I got this controller so I wouldn't have to deal with batteries and I wanted to use my controller with my PC.Shape - The shape of the controller fits much more snuggly in my hands. Button placement seems weird at first, but didn't take long for me to get used to it.D-Pad - Good for games where the D-Pad cycles through weapons or equipment. Also good for platformers like Castlevania: Harmony of Despair where you're mostly going to be pressing left or right. Feels weird to use for games like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World where you're constantly using all directions.Face Buttons - Take some getting used to, but really improve your speed. These are great for "Press X to not die" moments. Love these for games like Splatterhouse and Bayonetta, where the game makes you press a button as fast as you can for several seconds. The buttons also glow, but this is merely aesthetic and only practical for finding this controller in the dark.Sticks - I love that these are adjustable. On games like Black Ops and Brink, I've noticed a big improvement in my accuracy and speed at aiming. Great if you feel the original controller's sticks are too loose.Remap Buttons - Easy to program. Good for actions you don't want to take your thumbs off the sticks for, like reloading. Can't map D-Pad directions to them, in case you were wondering.Cord - 15 feet long and braided. Has a quality feel and there's an emergency release section near the end so you don't pull your X-Box off the TV stand when you throw your controller at a wall, which I've never done.When I bought this, I thought $50 was steep. Now that I've used it, I think it's totally worth it. Your mileage may vary.

The Razer Onza Tournament Edition Gaming Controller takes a little bit of getting used to when one is familiar with a regular Xbox controller. Unfortunately I never got an opportunity to get used to the controller. I ordered two and both had manufacturing defects. On the first controller, when I clicked the left thumbstick down, it didn't register a command. In video games like Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, clicking the left thumbstick down allows the player to run. Without this command the player is a sitting duck and the controller is worthless. The second controller worked fine except for the mic jack. When plugging in a headset into the mic jack I could hear my teammates fine but they couldn't hear me speak. Instead they told me they heard a constant humming sound and that whenever I spoke there was too much static and my words cut in and out. After a minute of this, my teammates usually told me to unplug my mic because it was too annoying. I fiddled around with the controller, testing different headsets, to no avail. I figured for the price I paid for the controller I should get something that works 100% and decided to return the second controller as well. Other than the defects, the controllers seemed okay. I liked how the A B X and Y buttons are designed, and the programmable second LB and RB buttons are a cool idea. I could have exchanged the controllers for new ones, but I wasn't that impressed with them, in the little time I used them, and decided on a refund of my money instead. In the future I am just going to purchase Microsoft brand controllers for my Xbox.

I bought this controller to use for testing a pc game I was working on at my school, I'm not a big xbox 360 gamer so I didn't have a huge need for it .. but I wanted my gaming experience to be awesome while playing the game I had helped to build. This controller should be the new standard for controllers, every day when play testing our game everyone wanted to use this controller .. even though the cable was a bit long. :p The buttons are all much more responsive than the standard controller, and the adjustable sensitivity settings for the joysticks are AWESOME if the game you're playing doesn't come with that adjustability. The only problem I have with this item is that it's so good, I wish I could use it on my PS3 as I'm mostly a PS3 gamer. If you're getting finger fatigue after 6 or 7 hours of game time, that's because you're not using this controller. Seriously.

First of all, the unit will not work unless you access Portal 2 from Steam, because P2 is not on the list of playable games for Razer. I don't play P2 often, so I had to re-download the game again, now the hydra doesn't work. The game acknowledges the controllers when I take them off the base, but no controls!Maybe it is because I bought a used one, I'm going to download a game that is on the list of compatible games. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, please help! I like the concept and would like to have this thing work with Portal 2, it looks cool.

My old Xbox controller has seen some action and I decided it was time to upgrade to something better.I have always been a fan of the Razer products, using their mice throughout my time playing PC games was a great experience. The mice are incredible, so I concluded that the Xbox controller would be equally great. It is.The cord is a bit long, but I'm sure when I need the length of the wire it will be perfectly fine.Adjustable stiffness in the control sticks are fantastic. The buttons lighting up is a very nice touch, and I think my favorite part is the dedicated directions on the D-pad. The Xbox one never understood it when I hit up, I wanted to go up; It would think "Left? oh you mean right!" The programmable bumpers is a nice touch as well. I don't have to rely on pushing down on the sticks for the L3 and R3 buttons. The controller was a bit awkward when I first held it, but after getting used to it, I really like it.The controller is also compatible with PC games, which is great! I wish it was compatible with Mac OS as well, but in due time I think it will be or hopefully some third party writes drivers for this specific controller.Overall, worth the buy. Great job Razer!

I love the concept of the controller but the implementation is BS. I was waiting for a company to come out with a controller that had at least 2 extra programmable buttons that I could use with FPS games so I could still look, jump, and shoot simultaneously or whatever it is they decided to map to A,B,X,or Y. So, I got this.I have used it a few times and the design of the controller is not optimal for using the extra buttons. The placement is awkward because of how the controller fits in my hands. I can barely even touch the RB and LB not to mention the buttons above them. It requires your index finger to stretch in a fashion that doesn't have the greatest flexibility in normal human beings. If you want to use this controller correctly your going to need to adjust your grip on it.Update: The controller's left thumb-stick now constantly sends a down signal and it's completely unusable. It is not even from overuse because I hadn't used the damn thing but a hand full of times and then just put it away for about 3 weeks. POS, I will never buy third-party controllers again. Amazon is not letting me change the fun rating for some reason! 1 star all the way.

I liked the controller, highly responsive and all of that that you get in all these reviews. Problem was the abxy setup starting sticking fairly quickly, took a toothbrush to start clearing it up and it works for a time before sticking again. Otherwise pretty good.

After reading so much about how great the mighty Razer Onza according to the Razer website I was downright dissapointed with the controller. Prior to this I used a standard black wireless 360 controller. Razer stated how bad and silly the Microsoft controller is compared to their so called superior controller. I got news for you Razer...Epic Fail. The razer feels extremely cheap, worst than a gamestop or a cheap $10 matcatz controller. The triggers feel out of place and it hurts after about 10 minutes of gameplay. The so called hyper sensitive face buttons do have a mouse click to them but they have a touch sensitive feel to them and don't go as deep as the Microsoft controller so it feels like I'm playing a game on my iphones virtual buttons, and this really affects fighting games like SF4 and SSF2HD!The extra trigger buttons on the top are not as useful as I thought they were gonna be. I found myself doing a lot better using the analog click buttons instead of trying to get used to this controller. The adjustable analog sticks are worthless to me and it feels like if I keep on adjusting them from playing COD to Forza they are gonna break. The dpad is good for FPS games where you only need to use UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT but it's even worst for fighting games than the Microsoft controller. The controller does indeed look cool but it feels really cheap when you pick it up, and the light up buttons are ok, wired doesn't bother me but I find the $34.99 black chrome or silver (new dpad) Microsoft controllers a hell of a lot better deal still and they feel solid and tight and not like a made in china bargain $9.99 controller you will find at Ross. I will be returning this.

Looks good, feels "different" than the stock MS controller and appears to be made of high quality components. I ordered this and waited about a a month and a half before it arrived from back order. Upon plunging it and firing up Black Ops I noticed that the analog sticks did not seem to function in the Xbox menu system. After joining Xbox Live and launching the game (using the D-pad to navigate), my character repeatedly spun in a circle without control. I read through the sparse documentation in the nicely printed manual thinking there was no way I needed to program the controller before it would work right "out of the box"...sure enough there was nothing indicating that I needed to do anything other than plug it in for the sticks to work properly. I was bummed. I really wanted to give this sucker a shot! I emailed Razer tech support the next day and here was there reply:Hello,The controller does seem to be defective please return it using Amazon. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you, and let us know how the next one works for you. Thank you.So that's it. I don't intend on waiting for a replacement as quantities are limited and I'd have to wait again another 2-3 weeks. I have several Razer products- big fan of their lines, I was sad to see the Onza DOA.Pros:Great constructionFantastic lookSuper long, thick, braided cord with break-awayPackaging is top notchTension dials on sticks are being cool and extremely functionalSuper bright, tactile A B X Y buttonsCons:Triggers felt "goofy" even without actually being able to play a gameLess comfortable than the original MS controller (a little smaller too)Wish it was wireless but that would defeat the zero lag response

This controller is really awesome, Response time is unfathomable, Comfort ability is right up there with response time, All the buttons on the front of the controller light up, which adds to the aesthetics, its also coated in a rubber like substance to enhance grip and curb appeal, absolutely fantastic controller, i will definitely have to get used to the sticks, there so much more responsive than the traditional Microsoft default stick on the 360 controller, 5 out of 5 basically!

I purchased a Razer Onza Tournament Edition back in March. When I got it, I thought it was awesome. The adjustable resistance analog sticks were the best part about this controller. After a couple of months of playing, the right analog stick started acting like it was tilted down, while it wasn't. I eventually had to take almost all the resistance off of it to get it to work properly again. The click behind many of the buttons has long since vanished. The back button got to the point where it was barely pressable, but still worked. Two nights ago, one of my buddies was using my controller, when it just stopped working. He unplugged it, and plugged it back in, and nothing happened. I tried the controller the next day, and still nothing. The light doesn't even light up. All the controller does, is make a slight pulse rumble. Of course this had to happen a month past the return date. I will not be buying another Razer Onza, unless they greatly improve the life of the controller.

These have amazing precision. The Portal 2 that is bundled becomes so immersive using the special controls and added abilities. As these start to become become more popular we will see more games with specifically programmed support. For your older games you can use this tool [...] to create your own control profile for each game. I recommend that tool over the Razer Hydra Configurator as the later does not let you customize your game profiles. The cables are much longer than you could need. The shape is much more comfortable than a Wii remote. This is very easy to program with from a developer's standpoint.

I LOVE THIS CONTROLLER. THE FEEL, THE PLAY, THE RESPONSE IS WOUNDERFULL. THIS IS MY SECOND RAZER ONZA TOURNAMENT CONTROLLER. EVER SINCE MY FIRST I USE IT FOR ALL GAMES HAVENT EVEN TOUCHED MY MICROSOFT CONTROLLERS. I USED MY LAST ONE SO HARD AND ROUGH THAT I WORE DOWN THE GRIP ON RIGHT THUMB STICK AND BOUGHT ANOTHER. THAT COMES AFTER READING ALL BAD REVIEWS ABOUT POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND I AM PRETTY ROUGH ON CONTROLLERS. MY TODDLER ALSO GETS A HOLD OF IT AND IS ROUGH TOO. THIS IS A SOLID CONTROLLER. THAT THUMB STICK ONLY WORE DOWN AFTER HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF GAME PLAY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CONTROLLER TO FRIENDS FOR SURE....

After having to get this unit used and speedy shipped to me, I gotta say so far, the layout is nice, controls are responsive and quick. The buttons require no "mashing" like some other aftermarket controllers. Its neat to look at, and has two programmable bumpers below LB and RB. Overall not too shabby. If it breaks, I'll repost but I don't have any issues so far, just wish it was wireless.

I've recently ordered from Amazon. I've received not one, but TWO defective controllers. The first one had a dead 2.5mm headset chat port. The second one, the D-Pad buttons were sticking/getting stuck, and the Analog sticks were drifting (unintended movement when not being touched). Razer really needs to work on their quality control. Otherwise, I liked the overall feel of the Onza Controller. The analog triggers have a nice quick pull, makes shooting in FPS's faster. The tension control is nice, but it's too bad the tolerances are sloppy, as I had one that starting drifting a lot. The Light up ABXY buttons are a nice touch. The placement of the Select and Start buttons make no sense. They should've kept them to the left and right of the Guide button like pretty much all other 360 controllers. You have to shift your hands on the controller in order to use them. Not really a good thing where you would want to check your score often (hitting select for instance) Not sure why Razer did that given they were aiming these controllers towards the MLG crowd.Three cheers to Amazon for their exceptional return and exchange policy. Doesn't cost a penny in shipping to get a refund/replacement. So, I'm not afraid to order iffy products like this one.

Pro's: A major pro of this controller is the fact of the additional buttons that u can set to be any other button on the controller, it is very useful so people do not have to use the claw which causes many people to cramp. The A,B,X,Y, buttons are very easy to push down and you can tell that it is easier to tap at a faster pace and with the advanced controller design it is able to register each button faster. The D-pad is also very nice as they are decided up and hitting a different direction is almost impossible now.Con: the only downside i can think of is that the RB, RBA(extra button by bumper), LB, and LBA(extra button by bumper), those button are a little stiff and have to push a little harder.It is not a larger problem just takes some time to get use to pushing that hard and holding the controller.Overall this is a very good controller the advanced button system, and being a wired controller allows for faster reception of which button is being pushed. Also setting the RBA and LBA buttons is very simple.
