This would be the single best controller for the Xbox 360 if it would only work properly. I picked up this controller last week to play Gear of War 3 with and it worked for exactly one week before the left analog stick failed. So I returned it to the store and got another one. This one was broken right out of the box. When pressing the Right Bumper, the "A" button would also activate at the same time, It's like the wires are crossed inside somehow.Razer has a great reputation for making stylish, high-quality, computer products. Unfortunately, their first attempt at a console product does not reflect their stellar reputation. I am giving it 2 stars, but if it worked reliably I would have easily given it 5.

I bought this controller looking for a solid device for FPS with an interest in the adjustable tension and programmable buttons. Overall the device has a good feel to it but the triggers are probably the biggest problem. Both the left and right trigger do not always respond. I noticed when rapid firing the right trigger in particular there is often no response or the trigger pull is not detected. Its hard to say if this is due to the design of the trigger and the travel distance or if there is something failing. Also, the positioning of the programmable buttons is not ideal and does affect the bumpers. As for the sticks, they variable tension is hit and miss. I think you really don't get much response from the increased tension until the stick is pushed near the perimeter or its maximum travel. I would rather have more tension near the center point to prevent large movements when trying to make quick initial adjustments to aim. Instead it just makes it hard to perform aiming movements where you want to quickly turn around 180 degrees.Overall I would not recommend the controller because of the issues with the buttons and the fact that the stick tension is not that beneficial

I have had this controller since June 8th and honestly, it is an awesome controller.I have one problem that I have not seem to see mentioned and it is the lack of quality of material on the dual analog sticks.This controller is less then 2 months old and both sticks are warped on the top. The material is also coming off around the edges and makes the controller feel very uncomfortable now when playing.I play alot of Gears of War 2 for the time being until Gear of War 3 comes out, and I was hoping to be able to use this controller, but it feels so awkward now that I don't think I will.I contacted Razer today via email (even though I bought through Amazon and my warranty on Amazon is over after 1 month.) I am hoping they might be able to do something for me, but I am not holding my breath.Other then that, the controller is really really good.

The main problem I've had with other (console) motion controls is that the games are designed for the controller. While this may seem like a good thing, often times they end up gimmicky. The Razer is great in that it adapts to any game's default controls. So far, I've only played a few games with it: Skyrim, Fable 3, and Arkham City, and they all feel great!

Really disappointing because this controller works great until it FAILS shortly after you begin using it.First one worked great for three weeks before the left joystick became unresponsive. Sent it back and got a replacement.Second one worked for about a month. Two days ago, it began having difficulty communicating with the XBOX ("Please Reconnect Controller") and losing power. As of last nite, it completely crapped out.Now out of warranty - what a waste of $50.

If you're looking for a new controller and don't mind being tethered, get this controller. It's built well, the tactile feel of the buttons feel pretty awesome, and you can increase the sensitivity not just the tension of the analog sticks (unplug then hold both remapping buttons on the back while plugging back in and pressing A). I was also impressed by the nice long braided cord that is attached to the controller. It's the little things that impress me the most.Now to the not so good part. The select and start buttons are relocated to the bottom. Since i'm a stat whore I like to look at how well i'm doing mid game. I find myself constantly pressing a non existent select button. I'm sure over time I will get used to it but it just seemed unnecessary for Razer to change the location of those buttons. Also I thought I would love the rubberized finish, however I find that compared to plastic of the regular xbox controller this thing gets warm and rather quickly. Its like gaming with a warm biscuit in your hands which will make your palms sweaty and uncomfortable.Overall it's a great controller however it's not perfect and I for one am anxiously awaiting the Onza 2.0 whenever they release it.

I loved this controller when I first got it, but now it randomly aims downwards with no input from me. Makes FPS very hard. Also occasionally the left trigger won't work, meaning I can't look down the sights on the gun. This is fixed if I unplug the controller and then plug it in, but it is a pain.

I love the controller..but there is a huge problem with this company.I ordered this controller on tuesday with one day shipping and its friday and i still do not have the controller!!! they literally wasted my money on this controller.And i could not find this controller anywhere in stores. My boyfriend and i love battlefield 3 so i thought this would be a great gift for him. his birthday was on thursday and that was going to be his gift. but thanks to this company they ruined it for me and him!

This thing is a pice of junk. Unless you don't care about slowturn or a massive, uneven, dead zone. Extra buttons on the shoulders sounds cool, and the face buttons feel great, but the analog sticks are total garbage. Waste of money. Seriously. Don't buy this trash.

This hands down the best controller for the xbox 360. No, it's not rapid fire or anything crazy like that but the way it's made is high quality and the difference is apparent. As stated by others, this is a FPS heavy controller. That's what it's made for and it does it extremely well. I like having the Right thumbstick as my crouch button so melee can sometimes be a problem. With the ability to remap, I can have melee above the shooting trigger usually "RT". I also like have reload mapped on the left side. Games I've played with this layout include Crysis 2, Black Ops, MW2. The remapping does take some time to get used to but once you do, it becomes natural. The only time I would not suggest this controller are for those who partake in fighting games using the D-Pad. The D-Pad works great for menus and adjusting settings but not with use of diagonal direction since it's split mainly into 4 sections (up/down/left/right). Besides that, this controller is the way to go even if it's wired. On a plus side, the 4 face buttons light up as well so it looks even cooler lol =)

For the first few months I had this controller it was fantastic. I love everything about it: the remappable buttons, quick response a,x,b,y, even the totally different shaped triggers became very friendly after much use. Tensioners work for me still, however, left joystick click, or sprint for call of duty has died. It works when it wants to and it's very aggravating. I have switched back to my licensed xbox 360 controller when playing CoD because it just works. I will still use the Razer for other games such as GoW and Forza, but the game I play most I can't use it. It's a shame really because I absolutely love the feel, the response, everything else about this controller.

Great controller!!!-Love the rubber feel, great for long gaming sessions.-x,y,b,a buttons are so responsive and nice to the touch.. the clicking sound and backlit feature makes it look and sound so sexy!-tension adjusting thumbsticks!!! Great for me for when play my racing games! Sometimes I would be racing with lets say a corvette and like the feel with the sticks loose but if I change to lets say a subaru i could change the sticks so then can be tighter..-2 additional fully programmable funtion buttons makes it great to add binds for ventrilo or teamspeack! not to mention that I have big fingers so this makes it more comfortable for me.-shape and feel are great for my big hands..Only flaws for me-cant use my speedfreeks if the tension is adjusted to loose because the gear is flush to the bottom of the stick..-pretty sure the snake design on the controller will rub off and fade away over time. (cosmetic)-the a button stuck on me for a fraction of a second twice already.. lets hope this doesnt continue.-xbox logo is crooked. (cosmetic)-mic port is crooked. (cosmetic)

Great controller. Flashy and easy to operate the customizable bumper buttons due to lcds on the bottom of the controller. The adjustable thumb sticks are very nice and help quite a lot.

I purchased the Razr Onza in March 2011. It is November and goodbye ... the analog sticks have gone. Tighten or loosen them it does not matter the sight will drastically pitch up the y-axis. The controller is now useless. I honestly have not found a better controller for the XBOX but I am not going to put out $50 every 8 months for a new one.

Worst controller ever!!!!, first one lasted 6 weeks, I send it back on warranty. Second one lasted 2 months and it started to do the same things the first one was doing. The right stick would automatically move slowly down. It's a nightmare if you're playing first person shooters. I did not bother to send it back the second one for warranty; I just throw it away. If you buy this controller you're going to remember this review.

This is not a good controller. I bought one at Best Buy a few months ago, and returned it the very next day. The face buttons are nice, and the cable is lengthy so if you sit far away from the TV, you'll have no issue.However, aside from these things I can't say a good thing about this product. It's not comfortable to hold, the sticks feel weird, and the d-pad, while I thought it would be good, is crap. The programmable buttons between the bumpers and triggers are too close to the bumpers. I found myself numerous times hitting a bumper when I wanted to hit a programmable button, or vice versa. They're too close.I would instead recommend that you stick with the standard 360 controller. I use one of the silver ones with transforming d-pads and it's much better and more comfortable.

Got it the Wednesday after battlefield launched. Worked Flawlessly at first. Then after about 3-4 weeks of normal use across Ace Combat, Modern Warfare, Saint's Row, and Battlefield the left thumb stick malfunctions when trying to go up. I read all the reviews about these controllers failing after time and didn't listen.

This controller is well worth the money. Not only is it better than the original controller but the extra shoulder buttons make it the perfect addition to any gaming arsenal.If you're thinking about getting it then go right ahead, you won't regret it.

so i just got my onza, and at first i was kinda worried it wasent what i liked, but i started playing with it, WOW. it is so awesome. the d-pad is the main reason i bought it.it alone is worth the cash.i was pulling fatalities and special moves in mortal kombat quickly, and with no errors.the controller looks so cool too.the light up buttons? super neat in the darkthe re-mappable buttons? cool as could be!the adjustable sticks? responsive and very cool feature. cant wait to use them for in game sniping!the tension even made playing with a stick in mortal kombat feel more like a joystick!if you whine about it being wired, DONT!the cable has a safe release on it, which means if you manage to yank the long (15 foot) cable to hard it pops right off! if someone trips over it, it pops off. no dragging your console to the floor.the texture just feels so right.there is nothing i do not like about this controller. pure awesome!i reccomend this to anyone.

I bought this for the re-mappable buttons and the improved D pad. Turns out you can't map the stick buttons and while the D pad is an improvement the overall feel of the controller is below the stock controller. I think the D pad might break sooner than later.One gripe was the shipping time. I waited over a month for the controller to arrive.Overall it's an okay controller. The back lit buttons are nice, and they are much faster than regular controllers. However the longer trigger pull makes semi-automatic weapons less useful. There also seems to be some mush in the bumper buttons.I would not recommend this controller. There just are not enough improvements over a standard controller for the games I play.

My brother and I both ordered this controller to give us an advantage at black ops. While it took a few days to get used to, we both ended up loving it. The extra buttons really do give you an advantage and I was able to sprint without hurting my thumb and knife like a beast through those buttons. Sadly the controllers lasted a little more than a month for both of us. On my controller the left extra button became unresponsive, and on my brothers the right thumb stick would become stuck in one spot making it impossible to play a match. While the controllers rocked while they lasted, I just cannot recommend them due to their poor quality. This is really a shame because it was finally the controller serious gamers wanted. Hopefully a better company will pick up where razer left off, and manufactor a product that doesn't break after a months use.

This is a good all-round sturdy performer in the xbox 360 contoller market. It has a sturdy feel and good resposiveness and feedback whilst playing. The long tangle resistant cord ensures you will never run out of power during that crucial achievement winning move. The two extra bumper buttons that are fully remappable come in very handy for the hardcore gamer who likes to have that special move at his/her fingertips in the heat of battle. The resistance settings on the thumbsticks are a handy feature for the more heavy thumbed players out there. Add to this a stylish Razer logo and rubber feel skin and you've got the tools to win.
