I was extremely excited about getting this controller for playing Call of Duty. When I got it the controller seemed awesome I quickly unpackaged it and got ready to sit down and play some games with my brand new razer onza controller. This controller would have been amazing if the build quality was there. It seems to me that they did a rush job building the controllers. In the past week I have gone through four of these controllers and each one had its own unique defect. My first 2 that I purchased were from wal-mart, The next 2 were purchased from best buy.First Controller: The button underneath to remap one of the bumpers quit working and became worthless.Second Controller: The right analogue stick gave out and you could hear the spring scraping around inside the controller.Third Controller: Would not even turn onFourth and Final Controller: The right Analogue stick would not tighten down at all, on the tightest setting it was still completely loose.From what I did get out of this controller was great while it worked. Takes awhile to get used to since the triggers are very long and angled upwards. I loved the braided chord that was about 15' long. I did however not really care for the A,B,X,Y buttons and how they clicked.. just didnt notice a big advantage with the mouse type of buttons. While the tension on the analogue sticks is nice, the tension does get weaker over time, at first it will be very stiff on the tightest settings but then after hours of using it, it will become very loose. The sharp edges and the overall shape of the controller does not feel natural or smooth and feels fairly uncomfortable.The remappable buttons are a great idea but are way to close to the original bumper buttons and make it hard to press one over the other. When playing call of duty I had the left remap button set to jump but when trying to use the left bumper to throw a secondary grenade I often ended up jumping instead.This controller would have been an amazing addition to my gaming gear but unfortunately I will not be keeping this unless Razer redesigns the controller and puts a little more effort into the build quality of their products.

If you think Battlefield Is ?ber cooler than any other FPS out there, this controller is totally pimpin for representing those Battlefield 3 colors. Also the a,b,x & y buttons all light up so it's ?ber to the max best controller in the world as of right now. I recommend all fanboys and Battlefield 3 worshippers to purchase this controller, sincerely Brandon!!!

I have had this for over two years ow and love it! To be fair, this works best with Portal so get this with the bundle. For the other games you need to check with the list and see what is already supported otherwise you need to see what works with the defaults but this is so much better than other motion control devices. It's a different expeirence all together but there is a lerning curve but rewarding none the less. Now I gotta see if the SDK will work with my Robotics students and if we can get this to work for a future FIRST FRC copetition. Try it, is a game changer for a bunch of games (Potral 2, Team Fotress 2, Skyrm and a few others.)

Controller worked for a while, but now the right thumbstick is sending signals to the console that I am holding the thumbstick slightly down, which makes it a litle tough to hit targets that are moving. I went back to my Halo Reach controller after about 4 months of casual use. I cna't return it since it's outside of the RMA window. Yay.It was nice to rekey the L3/R3 clickstick buttons to the triggers though, I get so tired of hitting this when I want to run or sneak...

So I've had this controller for awhile now, and I've gone through all the problems that a lot of the people leaving 1 star reviews are having. So to counter act that I've given this controller a 5 star review. Which honestly it deserves if it weren't for the damn tension sticks.In the few 1 star reviews I read, people said the same exact thing: left or right thumbstick died, got it replaced no problem, great controller except for the thumbsticks dying. I went through the same thing these people did, but did something different the second time around. I have not used the tension knobs this controller has. It's a great feature, actually allows you to pull great 180's on unsuspecting people, but it kills your controller.DO NOT USE THE TENSION STICKS!!I've been using the (replacement) controller for about a month now with no problems coming up (The problems in my frist controller starting showing up within the first couple weeks). I love this controller, going back to the regular xbox controller just feels so slow once you've used something like this, but when my first one died I didn't know if I should just get my money back or what. After talking to the Razer representative for Customer Service, I realized that the thumbsticks dying are the number one problem for this controller. With my replacement I haven't touched the tension sticks and haven't had a problem.You might not want to buy this controller based on the fact that so many people have had theirs die on them, but if you do buy this do not use the tension sticks!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!

the right stick began to go faulty and tighten at random times. it needs improvement on the tighten/loose mechanism so that it doesn't happen during games

I bought this as a wired controller for online play so I could eliminate that little bit of lag that the wireless controllers have. The unit initially played really well. Buttons were very responsive and the extra bumper really added to the gameplay. My only gripe was that the x button is a fraction of an inch closer to the right stick. I have big hands so this got in the way a bit.Three hours into gameplay the right trigger stopped working. Really, three hours is all I get before it dies on me? Microsoft controllers can be run over by a tank and still play. Returned it immediately. I should have listened to the other reviews that said the build quality was low.

I've tried two versions of these controllers. They both started out working great! I loved the tension control as I was able to up my sensitivity to between 7 and 10 and not get dizzy. The problem, with both controllers, is that they stopped working properly after only a few months of use. All of a sudden I start a match and I'm looking at the ground... I can do everything except control where I'm aiming. Kind of pointless. Fortunately for Razer, they work just long enough that a return is impossible.

I was lucky enough to find this controller at BestBuy when it was backordered, came back home very excited, and the controller was a bit of a disappointment from the start. Just as several other reviewers had noted, some of the buttons aren't very responsive especially when you hold it down for a couple seconds. All I play is black ops, and whenever I am in the chopper gunner holding down the trigger, the gun will "skip".After 10days of using this controller, I was feeling pretty comfortable with it. However, the right stick decided to act up. I usually play on 7 sensitivity and whenever I have my sensitivity over 6, my screen would jitter downwards. This doesn't happen when I'm at sensitivity 5 and lower, but what's the point of the controller if I can't even play at my normal sensitivty? It gets really annoying when you start losing gunfights because your aim goes from upper body to the ground.The programmable buttons are a good idea, the placement and design of them are questionable, and the responsiveness is just terribad.The dpad is definitely better than the standard 360 controller, but nothing else. My suggestion would be to buy the microsoft controller, save $10 and grab a pizza or something. I say I was lucky enough to find this controller at BestBuy at the beginning but that is because BestBuy has a 30day return policy...EDIT/ADDITION 5/9/2011: I was able to exchange my controller for a second one, which now had a defective left analog stick. My character would strafe to the right slowly. Which made me question the quality of this controller. I am now on my third controller, about 10days through. I will post another update if this thing decides to malfunction as well. Note that I am a fairly calm player and have never thrown my controller out of frustration lol. How I've been able to get a hold of three of these controllers, I will never know, but I hope everybody gets their order pretty soon.EDIT/ADDITION 6/26/2011: My third one has been officially dead as of 6/5/2011. Honestly, I don't know why Razer isn't getting a lawsuit against them for scam. It appears that all the good reviews on the controller were made several days after the purchase and the rest are bad reviews from people who saw the actual quality of the product (e.g. broken). This company has some serious QC issues and I don't really care what they do about it because I will never buy anything from Razer again.

I have gone through 5 of these bad boys, all have broken. The fact that I have repeatedly purchased the controller (one I returned to Razer for a new one, so I bought 4) is a testament to how good the Onza TE is when it works (especially for FPSs). That is irrelevant, however, as this controller WILL break regardless of how gentile you are with it... and even if you continually replace it for free you will be out of a controller you are adapted to for ~1 week each time. 4/5 Onzas developed issues with an analog stick (controller ceased to register movement of stick in one direction), 1/5 developed faulty "hyper response" buttons, and 1/5 developed a weak spring in the right trigger making rapid firing impossible. That adds up to more than 5 because obviously some of the controllers had multiple issues that I worked around with the multi-function button. The most frequent issue (3/5) was loss of ability to engage forward (up) with the left analog stick... This direction is used a lot in FPSs to move forward, and hence likely why it wore out first. This issue had nothing to do with the tension settings as I leave it default on the left stick, and no manipulation of the tension setting after appearance of the fault alleviates the issue. So, unless you are willing to spend roughly $300 a year on this controller, or spend 20% of your time waiting for a warrantied replacement, do not even tempt yourself by trying it.

It is a nice feeling controller, the long cord is great. The left thumbstick is already acting up though after only about ten hours of play. I tried to take it apart but you cannot get to the thumbsticks to adjust or clean them. I bought a different brand to replace it.

Bought this at frys because a buddy of mine pointed out that they price match with amazon, fell in love when playing Halo Reach Team SWAT, but this past week the left thumbstick has been getting "sticky" it feels like after about 20 minutes, the left stick will refuse to go all the way to the right, and I have to rotate it a few times before it will start to respond normally.Very frustrating, because I like the way it reacts quickly and is super lightweight, and the button response is quick and satisfying.Hope this gets fixed.

Since the wireless controllers on the Xbox are junk I saw this one, it looked like it could work fine. I've purchased from Razer in the past as well, for PC Gaming. They sell real half-assed expensive products that are cheaply made. They lure you into buying their products by their cosmetic appearance and hefty price tag. It appears here..... it's no different. I hardly play my Xbox as it is as well.. maybe 3 hours a week, I only go this around early May as well. The problem is... the controller has started to become very choppy and unusable. I've noticed that the R Trigger has begun to have input lag, the left stick has start to move on it's OWN as well, the L stick is completely stationary as well. I've tried unplugging solution to controller as well, sometimes even removing it and then shutting the Xbox and then putting it back in, it's hopeless. These are the is the worst and most common errors with these Xbox controllers, hands down.Pros-Light-up buttons, easy to see in the dark.The buttons have a less-delayed pressure timing, it's quicker and ultimately easier to press down.Much sleeker look than the standard controllers.The D-pad is has separated buttons. You aren't as prone to slipping your finger and pressing the wrong button anymore.The gripping is solid.The L and R triggers are quicker to use. They are not as limited in length as the standard controllers. This proves very useful if you are playing a button mashing type game.Cons-The tightening system on the L and R sticks is junky, it weighs down INSIDE the controller as well. It moves more precisely when you move the sticks slowly, when you move it faster it loses the grip.The macro system is a total gimmick. You do not need macros on console games, it's useless.The start and select buttons are in a very awkward position.It's cheaply made and breaks very quickly.NOTE: Don't listen to those who rated this product with 5-stars. They clearly just opened, used it once.. and rated it.

I was in the market for a wired 360 controller because the radios in my wireless ones have been causing noticeable latency issues. A friend recommended this and when I saw that it was the same price as a regular controller I figured why not. It's a great controller, the soft touch finish feels really nice in your hands and you can use it for a long time without sweating of leaving grime on it. The thumb resistance controls may seem gimmicky at first but I actually find them to be a very nice addition to the controller as it applies to the hardware and not to the game itself. The light up buttons give it a really nice look and I really like the click of the primary buttons.If anything, it may take a little while to get used to the start/back buttons as well as the extra bumpers and the primary triggers do not recess as much as the generic controller. After a few hours though you most likely won't notice and you'll probably enjoy the much faster response time of the hairpin trigger.EDIT: After a few months I have given up all hope on Razer products. The controller thumb sticks no longer work (they don't do anything) and Razer wouldn't do anything about it. I picked up a pair of refurbished ones for cheap on another site and ran into similar issues. The metal that connects the main cable to the pull-away cable tore off easily and the other one makes a very unsettling grinding sound when I pull the triggers (not like my original one before it broke).I'll probably end up trying to splice them all together to see if I can get 2/3 working, but it's very obnoxious that a customer has to do this seeing as Razer support is worthless.

Onza controller feels and plays great when received. After a few weeks of playing every other night it went bad. The joysticks were way off and the controller was essentially useless. Returned the controller the first time for a replacement with shipping at my expense and the exact same issues popped up very quickly with the second controller. This is junk.

It's an awesome looking controller to be sure. When it was actually working I felt as though I was playing better. However, I am on my third Onza right now and trying to swap it again for another due to issues with the tension sticks pretty much not working anymore.If they can fix the build quality of the tension sticks I would be much happier, they've been the biggest issue I have had with the controller.

Very good control, triggers set nice abit sensitive but thats what your looking for if your getting this controller. having the START and SELECT button in the lower Mid section trew me off at first but just takes some time to get used to. the dual Bumpers are great, may be to close if you have big hands. they are very easy to configure. overall is a great control it FEELS GREAT Slick and smooth Great product. but if you have large hands or big fingers stay away.

As an avid fan of racing games, I was dissatisfied with the feel and sensitivity of the standard xbox 360 controller, so I sought a 3rd Party controller that streamlined my inputs and provided good feedback. After multiple reviews of this product, including on Amazon, I opted for it. I was impressed with the effect the thumbsticks had on steering when adjusted to the right tune. Steering felt very precise even for an arcade game like NFS undercover, which has overtly sensitive steering. I was, however, less than thrilled with the trigger buttons. With little resistance to inputs, the trigger buttons provided very rigid pedal feedback, dampening the driving experience in the process, regardless of the racing game played.The thumbsticks were, however, highly effective in most shooter games that I played, notably in Call Of Duty (COD). Rapid Fire response made shooting targets a breeze. The right thumbstick, tightly adjusted, also performed brilliantly when it came to aiming.Besides the triggers, and thumbstick, the separation of the D-Pad proved to be very beneficial for games where one directional button is used at a time. However,due to their rigid feel, I would dissuade gamers from purchasing this controller for beat em games or games that require multiple combination of directional inputs from the d-pad at rapid time intervals. A,X,B, and Y give a clicking sensation, synonymous to that of a PC mouse, and they ingeniously illuminate to help you see in the dark.Finally, the two programmable buttons proved useful for racing games whenever manual transmission was selected. Conversely, they felt redundant for COD controls, but that is a matter of gameplay style of the gamer. To top it up, the controller is built with a high quality. The rubberized feel makes for incredible comfort, and it has worked perfectly fine from day one on both my laptop and xbox: definitely worth the purchase.

The Razer gives you much more control and customization than a standard controller. It's slightly different and takes a little getting used to. Once you do, it's much better than the originals... as long as it works. Which for me was a couple of weeks. That said... I've owned 3 and all of them have malfunctioned in some way. 2 of them had the "dead spots" after a couple of weeks and the third doesn't work with my headset. For the $$$ these people should have gotten their product ironed out by now. I won't be buying another.

When i first bought this controller i have to admit that it was awesome. The presentation, the feel, and the response was flawless. After 3 weeks of hardcore gaming the controller was then losing its edge. The left triggers response was not precise and it would allow me to zoom and unzoom while holding the trigger down. Pretty much to sum it up i got so frustrated that i trashed my remote and live on regretting the money that was lost. Please don't be fooled by the nice aesthetics that the controller presents and save yourself the frustration.

I'm really enjoying the controller so far. The braided cable is 15' long which is plenty for me. I sit about 12' from the tv. It is very durable and I'm not afraid to wrap it around the controller like I am with others. It is about the same weight as a wired MS controller but much lighter than the wireless.I really like the mouse click feel of the face buttons. I don't get that soreness in my thumbs clicking them like I do with the standard controller and I feel like I can tap them much more rapidly.The adjustable control stick tension is nice. I played Dead Space 2 and loosened them up and it felt right. Tightened them for MW and it gave me better fine precision when scoped in. The height is a little higher than a standard controller, but nowhere near the height of fps freaks. It felt about right for my hands.Here comes my couple of nitpicks. I don't like the curved triggers. They feel nice until you try to pull them. Because they are curved you don't pull them straight in, but kind of in a curving motion. May take some getting used to.Also, I don't like the location of the mappable bumpers. I don't find myself hitting them accidentally, but I do have a hard time reaching them. Generally when I hold the xbox controller my index fingers rest on the triggers and I move them to the bumpers when needed. I can still do that, but to reach the mappable bumpers I have to completely change the position of my hands. I think if I could re-train myself to use my index fingers for the bumpers and middle fingers for the triggers I would be able to reach them without the stretch, but I'm not comfortable doing that.I would have much rather seen the mappable buttons be on the back of the controller where you could press them with your middle finger on the back.As for the D-pad, I really like the fact that it is separate buttons. I don't have any of the problem with it moving up or down when pressing left or right like I did with the MS controllers. I do wish they would have put a slight raised area on directions so you could tell by feel what you were pressing. I think after using it a bit that I will instinctively no where to press on the d-pad without looking down.Overall, it's a great controller, but with a few minor tweaks it could have been perfect.
