After recently losing my previous compact Camera on holiday in USA I decided to go up a step to SLR and after some research chose the Pentax K500 DSLR. I am not an expert and use the camera for family, holiday and mostly 'water' shots from our sailing cruiser - so far I have not been disappointed. The handbook is excellent - one thing I cannot abide is voluminous instructions on a CD - and this compact book with everything cross referenced cannot be faulted. Due to the time of year full usage on the water will have to wait until next year when I anticipate good results.

I have bought this camera as a follow up to my previous Pentax, it is much more advanced than the old one but seems to be giving me excellent results, and is relativly easy to use. the battery seems to be lasting realy well , I am well pleased with the whole camera

This is a real quality camera that performs excellently. I am really pleased that there is a quality alternative to Canon and Nikon products. So glad I bought this.

Best buy and value. Love the camera. I am not a fan of using a camera that is used for taking pictures for making movie shorts.

I'm already using the filters on my camera lens. They fit the lens as ordered and work as described on-line.

I just found a new 200mm lens for my Pentax camera, had a hard time finding the filter kit for it; this was absolutely the best! (and wasn't that awfully expensive) sharp, clear photos, from close-up to zoom!

I chose the product for the number of accessories included, plus the lens hood that I was originally looking for.
I do not dislike anything in the kit, I was very pleased with the close up filters and the excellent cases they came in as with the other
filters.
I would have no hesitation in recommending you to other friends.

great camera only thing I would change is having to start at beginning each time you look a pictures otherwise wonderful price of equipment

A big step up from noisy superzoom and compact cameras!

And a better bet than spending massive amounts on compact camera 'dust traps' that can suck dust into the sensor and lens when zooming. With a DSLR you can get at the sensor to clean it yourself if you need to.

This is a great camera very user friendly and location of controls makes perfect sense. very similar to the K-7 but with more functions nice improvements. takes great pictures and has plenty of functions for creativity .

After using my Kodak camera since 2005 I felt it was time to upgrade. The one thing that drove me to purchase this camera is that is is weather sealed and has an internal mirror cleaner. Being hone in NJ or in the AZ desert so far I have not had any problems with weather, cold, desert dust. I am glad I purchased this camera would recommend it to anyone who wants to take really nice pictures and not have to worry about the weather

My first DSLR camera and an excellent choice. It's superbly built, easy to use and takes good pictures. It may not be cutting edge but for amateur use it's good value for money. The camera was bought from T4 Cameras of Swindon and advertised as used. On arrival next day by an excellent courier service it turned out to be like new and unused, I couldn't believe my luck!

When I mention this camera is middle class, some people may disagree, but it's really is a middle class camera, except the price and the second screen. However, the quality of picture and the color of picture and also the water-resistant is unbeatable in it's class or even higher class competitors. Highly recommended to buy it.

Great camera, has that loud mechanical shutter Sound that I love. Feels great in hand and would definitely recommend to other photographers , weather sealing is an awesome touch.

Not the most complex of camera accessories, but certainly good to have around especially in specific shooting conditions and/or if you just wanna add a little more creative flare to your photos!

Been a Pentax user since my high school days, so I had done my homework before buying this camera to replace my K-20D Pentax.What's not to like? Great pricing, good lenses at reasonable price-point, excellent image quality, weather sealing is better than most and I can use all of my old K-mount lenses on this body.

It is what the reviews said it was. Operating manual a little hard to read. After shooting for a while it becomes easier.

I have ordered from Digital Goja before, and everything ships very quickly and properly packaged. No complaints. Great value. I am not a professional photographer (ie. specialize only in pets and kids, mine to be specific)

My brother bought this kit for me. Goja was very quick to deliver the package. And the filters and hood are excelent for my K-r pentax. I give four stars. I promise the fifth once I knew the durability of the kit.

I've only just bought this camera so I am going to make a few comments initially and may add some more later. The reason I got it is because I was very impressed with a photo taken by a Pentax K10 and the deal from this particular seller is very good as it is not too pricey and includes the wr zoom lens(wr = water resistant and you should really buy the wr lens as the camera body is wr too and this was another big factor in making me decide to buy it as previously if I was going on a big expedition I would take two cameras - one waterproof, one not). The camera even plus the lens is small enough to fit into my tuff luv pink camera bag(yes I am a girl) and also another girlie girl observation is it was very easy to fit the lens - my first dslr which I still have is a Nikon D3000 and it is very difficult to fit/remove my 18-200mm lens which I partly bought so i would never need to remove it - really it is that difficult). So far i have only tried auto in really bad light(our sittingroom at night)and was impressed - going out to do some night time photography outside next week so stay tuned......

I took photos of lights wrapped around ordinary trees outside our local shopping centre -on auto still - and was very pleased - you didn't seem to need a tripod.

A couple of days later I took photos at a family gathering with an old film camera lens 28-200 mm from Pentax - these old lenses will actually work - the photos turned out well!

I have now used the camera to video our Christmas celebrations - I have read that people don't like the sound because it's mono - that's not what I noticed - I noticed the sound was muffled at the start of a clip before it 'warmed up'.
