Our family time has been enhanced tremendously! Friendly competition and good sportsmanship abound! We are awakened physically, mentally as well as communicatively! This is by far the best investment I've made in years!

This is the first time ordering from Amazon. I plan to order more now that I know I can trust the transaction!

So I was on the search for a wii, got one the next day.
SO GLAD I DID!
I haven't slept in one day since I got it, and no one can honestly call me a couch potato anymore.
I play for hours and hours, and I believe it's worth way more than it's out for, no wonder why they are so hard to get!
Plus, my whole family loves to play, while we are playing we aren't arguing, just having tons of fun, and always on the search for more games.
The wireless controllers are really handy.
Basically, best game system ever.
Don't pass up the chance to buy one!

good things
innovented controls.
As you can see abouve on the box it show one controler shaped like a T.V romote ( wiimoat) and one that has and analog stick and 2 buttons (nunchuck) you hold 1 per hand (even though not all games require the nunchuck.) With the wii moat you can do multiple things EX. cast a fishing linen, bowl, hit a ball with a tennis racket, swing a sword, aim a gun, hit a person with wolverine claws. ETC. then you're nunchuck is used for moveing or a trigger on a gun, or jumping. So differnt things. Overall it is really fun
the launch
best this console war with Red steel, zelda, wii sports, COD3, splinter cell. Sense i got a wii on launch day. You could have colered be broke on launch day.
The channels
heres a quick run down
MII channel crate you're own chracter. So far the only game you use a MII on is wii sports. But Reggie all ready promesed us it will be used in more games. And what i found vary intresting is you're mii stays in you're wiimoat V.S
photo channel: download photos into you're wii send it to you're friends edit it to make everyone have a beard or gotee. Then my personal faviorte push a button and a normal sized photo spilts in 24ths and you (and maybe your friends with you) get to put the photo back together.
virtuel console. You get to download a certin amount of N64, SNES, NES, Sega GEN., and turbo graphics 16. You can by them with wii points ( WII money) 64 game are $10 SNES are $6, NES are $3 and TG16 are $6. You have to buy a differnt controller to play these games though.
internet browser
you will no longer have to use you're PC, laptop or mac for internet. You actuley use the wiimoat as the mouse typeing takes a while but still it is still fun.
the bad
No HDtv support.
Well you're picture quiltey will be no differnt on a samsung 102 inch tv v.s a regular standered 480P resalution. But the graphics would still not be that good in 1080P so it dousn't really matter that much.
you're arm might hurt.
After a while it starts. Getting tired After throwing a 96MPH fast ball on wii sports my arm hurt for a while so it won't neccsrely provied hour and hour's of gaming at a time.
no achvment points.
wii points on virtuel console have to be purchused at 0.01 per point. instade of 360's achivments. Sense wii online is'nt deep the could have used it to purchuse new colthes and hair, and other body part styles.

Although the major consoles all have games for children as well as adults, the Wii allowed a more physically active engagement. For this reason, and specifically the Wii Fit product, I decided to go with the Wii.
While I am very pleased with the Nintendo Wii and the games I have gotten so far, I have been a little disappointed with the graphics. I am not one that usually cares too much what the graphics look like as long as the game play is good, but I was expecting the games on the Wii to at least look considerably better than games on the GameCube. So far I have not found this to be the case. In most of the games I have played, the graphics were pretty similar to the GameCube or only slightly better.
Overall the Wii is a very fun system and great to have for a family, but don't expect the games to look that great, even compared to the prior GameCube system.

The Nintendo Wii console has approximately the same stats as the 10-year-old X-Box system. And still it carries the same price tag as the next gen consoles.
The graphics look very gamecubish and sometimes plain atrocious (Red Steel, anyone?). You can't access pages with more than a dozen pictures with the Internet Browser or the system crashes due to lack of memory and computing capability. It lacks HD support or DVD playback option.
None of that would really matter, as we all know it's the games that make the console. But not surprisingly all they offer are just rehashes of games published in the late 80s or mid 90s. All the innovativeness is long gone, buried in the dark past.
The Wii is controlled via a motion sensing system, which you'll find appealing if you're a toddler. The revolution of gaming? Come on people. Give us virtual reality.
You can buy old "classics" through the internet at prices even the mafia daren't ask. If they'd at least put Amiga games available...
Yes, this console might be fun to play with family or friends, but true gamers have neither. This is the revolution of non-gaming. If you want to buy an actual console, I suggest buying X-Box 360 or PS3 instead.

wasn't sure what was coming in that box. I might have ordered additional
pieces. Delivery took a bit longer than expected but then it was during the holiday season.

You should think about purchasing the console from retailers like Wal-mart, Bestbuy, or Gamestop since the prices there are considerably cheaper.
