The Wii is a completely unique gaming experience. You use a motion sensitive controller to play the games, and it is a lot of fun too!
There is quite a variety of games for the Wii, all very unique and well-created by Nintendo.
I recommend the Wii for all ages, from kids to middle-aged adults. The Wii is also quite inexpensive compared to the PS3 and XBOX 360, and it gets you up off the couch moving around, yet you still have loads of fun! This product is an excellent buy if you love fun and games. I hope this review was helpful.

We just got our Wii, had a lot of fun with it so far but we're still out if we're in love with it.
It took it forever to get here, which ticked me off seeing as I have a PO box not anything else. If your shippers don't deliver to PO boxes then don't let people ENTER one!

The Wii is no good. And by no good I mean it has very few games worth buying. The hardware itself is slow (you will never see games with realistic sword fights or anything like that) and the online is very weak (when you can barely communicate with the people you are playing with, I don't even see the point). There are maybe 5 or 6 games worth buying for it other than ports and nothing worth while coming out in the near future. I recommend buying an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 well before considering a Wii. My Wii has mostly been collecting dust since I got bored of the latest Smash Brothers.

Since getting the Wii Sports hooked up I have become addicted to the vrious games, arms been sore nightly, hoping to get past this phase of soreness as I continue to play... Awesome game, highly recommended. Also I enjoy being entertained by the wife on the Wii Fit!!!

Well, this was a definte HIT with both the son-in-law AND the grandsons!!I guess you just can't have too many of these!! Haha! Wii is pretty fun to watch, and even PLAY, but they have so much more experience than me, I always lose!! Next up is that WiiFit, thing...

The Nintendo Wii Nunchuk Controller works great. It plugs into the Wii Remote and records the action of your second hand. It also provides additional buttons for games that need additional input and it doesn't require a separate battery. I was surprised to find that this additional controller is only needed for one of the seventeen games that we currently have - Boxing on the Wii Sport Game Disc. Bottom line - like on everything - do your homework to make sure that you are getting what you need and need what you get.

This was a gift for our 21 years old daughter who lives in downtown Seattle in a small apt. She LOVES her Wii and is using it all the time. Besides being fun, it also is helping her with balance and skills with her body. She also got the WII Fit and does the Yoga quite often. This WII was hard to find at Christmas but Amazon helped so much and my daughter was delighted and her friends want one too.

Bought this product (Nintendo WII) for my nephew for Christmas. He is having the time of his life. Great transaction, Amazon was wonderful and not having to stand in lines or run from store to store was the best part. Free shipping was also nice. Look forward to doing more business with Amazon. I just wish I had ordered some other gifts from them instead of trying to save a couple of bucks with lesser known companies ( like SUPERBDVDSETS) and getting burned.

This game truly captures everyone from toddler to adult/senior...Got the whole family testing their fitness levels in the training of the Sports game that was packaged with the Wii. Makes getting some exercise fun for the whole family. Also played some trivia games with pre-teens and 40 somethings. Played as competitors and as teams. What a blast! Not sure who was more intense, the younger or older set. Been quite a while since I've seen friends/family this excited about a game or an exercise program. Looks like Nintendo hit this one out of the park!

This is best video game I had ever seen. I agree the graphics is not top of line if you use 1080P but the best part is it allows you have games with physical activity. That was the big reason, I got it for my Kid but later I realized that I am playing it more than my Kid. By default you get following games -
Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, Boxing
My favourite is tennis. You really get a feel you are playing tennis. The remote , which works as racket for Tennis is wonderful. It even simulates the sound and vibration , you get when ball touches racket.
Great game to play with guests. Have few beers and enjoy Bowling at comfort of home and free of cost. Until now I had not spent extra on games . When I will get bored with included games, I shall shop for more. It will be great if commenters put reviews about WII games as comment to the review. This will be helpful to WII community.
Also this game console wirelessly connects to internet and you can see whether, news or download games. Overall it is wonderful game console. I wish it was number 1 in graphics too. But let me make it clear, even with that shortcoming it is number 1 overall and that is why it is best selling (with a very wide margin compared to number 2) game ,despite supply shortages

The "Wii" is by far the best video game system we have ever owned and is much enjoyed by our son (12), daughter (16), my wife (48) and me (44). The controls were easy for all of us to master (using the included Wii Sports game to learn).
We have had the Wii for about 7 months and have about 12 or so games for the system, not including all of the GameCube games that it plays as well (which was important of us since we had about 30).
The ability to connect over our Internet connection and play games with on-line players is a big plus and works very well (we recommend Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel for this, very fun). The on-line polls and contests are also fun.
Highly recommended!

The Wii we received as a gift was an instant hit. The child it was bought for had never played a video game before, but instantly and intuitively mastered the basics right away, especially with the optional (not included with a basic Wii purchase) sports accessories package.
The Wii graphics are first-rate and the wide selection of available games was also very positive. Also, the games are such a high quality that they appeal to both kids and adults, so you won't be looking at your watch, wondering how long you have to endure playing one more game with your kid - you'll like the Wii as much as they do.

I was raised on Nintendo, switched to Xbox for Halo, and now I'm back with Nintendo. I undoubtedly loved Halo and Xbox, but I'm not really a hard core gamer, I have a life outside of videos games. The Wii is awesome for bringing people together (even my parents play with us) with easy and fun games. It's the best system on the market.

We love our Wii, so we are buying new games often. I didn't feel this is as fun as the sports games that comes with the system, but my 5 year old has no problem playing it, which is very important when I choose games for the Wii. He does, however, seem to get bored quicker with this game than a lot of the games that we have.

Wasn't really interested when the Wii first came out, kind of thought it was going to be like GameCube and only for kids. Let's face it, after Playstation 1 came out, I never thought I'd own a video game console made by any other company except Sony. But then, Sony had to go and turn its back on people who have been supporting it for so long,focusing more on keeping up with its competiton (Microsoft)than it did on making its loyal customers happy. First by charging the rediculous price for its PS3 console, and second by not realizing that people who had PS1's all those years ago have grown up, gotten jobs, had families, and now play games mostly for recreation. We do not have the time to get killed 55 times while trying to complete a single level, nor do many of us have the inclination to play on-line with a bunch of kids who have nothing else to do in their day than play Resistance Fall of man, and who obliterate us the second we come on-line. Not to mention that when my three year-old is awake I don't like to him to see the ultra-realistic violence possible on newer systems. What ever happened to all the fun games, with quick levels that were not so easy as to be childish but were definitely achievable? Oh, wait.... I know...they are on the Nintendo Wii!! Just got mine last night and also got Wii Play and Bust a Move and they are a blast!! No, the graphics may not be as pretty as XBox 360 or PS3, but the cost is far more reasonable and the games are very fun. Some of the games on Wii Play are a little strange, but they all demonstrate the capabilities of the WiiMote and most of all Wii brings the fun back into video games!
Although I completely agree the WiiMote is VERY strange at first, it doesn't take long to get used to it. The Wii provides helpful hints to get you started playing right away. I am already hooked on Wii Tennis. And I even worked up a sweat, which was a unique experience whilst playing video games. I can see that at least my right arm will be super-buff after about 6 weeks of Wii Tennis. :)
Overall, if your entire life revolves around video games, the Wii may not be exactly what you're looking for. But if you just play games to have a little fun and unwind after a long day, or have a family that likes to spend time playing together, the Wii may be just what you're looking for! Highly reccommended!!!

I have all the game systems, PS3 and super powerful PC that plays games you cannot get on the home game systems, the point to this statement is the wii beats them all. I have never had so much fun playing video games. I am an adult and I received this as a Christmas present. The first night I hooked it up I played for about 3 hours. The games for this system will have everyone playing and having fun for hours. If you are going to buy any system let this be the one especially if you want to play with people.

my girlfriend got a wii for christmas...and its been at my house since it was taken out of the box...after the first night of playing wii boxing i was sore all the next day...and then kept playing until the soreness went away...that amazed me...i had heard that this console was intense in that regard but had never experienced it first hand...aside from that it is soooo much fun...my gf, best friend and i play it non stop...and the crazy thing is...she got wii play and mario party 8 along with it...and we have only played each of those once...the game that comes with the wii...wii sports...is all you need...bowling, tenis, baseball, boxing, and golf....all of which challenge you and are addicting like no other game...especially since it tracks each persons records and rates you on how well you do...aside from that we get the weather, news feeds, and once we buy some wii points...will be able to surf the web with the wii on our tv...it has a wifi card in it so that you dont have to hardwire it to your router...which is very nice...i also love it that it has a nice sized harddrive and you can expand the memory...which will come in handy when you go online to wii shopping and buy all the old games that you (when i say you i mean anyone over about 18) grew up playing on sega, NES, SNES, etc...and much to my surprise, creating and playing with the Mii's is also a lot of fun...i used to think that this system was only for little kids...mainly b/c of the lack of 1st person shooters and adult action type games...but as it turns out...you dont need halo, socom, etc type games to have fun with this console... my only complaints about this console is that it only outputs in 480 (for SDTV =(...) and it doesn't play dvds....other than that A+

The Wii was purchased for our girls christmas gift. The unit did not work properly. Wanted a replacement since we purchased other items for the Console. Sales rep left me on hold for 27 minutes to come back on and tell me that Amazon had nothing in stock, could order from their third party could not guarantee same price or availibiltiy. Sales rep said they would credit my account. Will never purchase from Amazon again. Not customer friendly at all. Very disappointed in how this was handled.
