but it needs some good third parties support to make it better
really goo tittles
and NINTENDO has to make all new 3A franchises

So the way I see it the Wii is fun and innovative to a point because the technical specs are not worthy to be call next generation (looks like they just jam an improve version of the old Gamecube inside the Wii), for me it was fun to play with family and friends not when you are alone. In the contrary the way you play the games its really innovative, but to be honest it gets old really quickly.
Maybe I'm to old for this console in fact if you look at the game list, its clear that Nintendo intended this console to be for kids. I keep my Wii as a novelty or party trick if you will since I don't use it very often.
Mean while I get my game on my xbox360 he understand that I just want to play High Definition, awesome graphics, online first person shooters and car racing games, all that while sitting in my lazyboy.
This is a good choice as a family fun game or for small kids, but for true gamers or people ages 16 to 35 this console will be a waste of time and money.

Before Wii, I had 3 remotes, 1 nunchuk, 3 gloves, $20 Wii points card, Wii softside shoulder sling (bag), Zelda, Avatar, and, Game accessory pack (extended base + glove + 512 MB). This cost about $400, but with a family of 4, I knew that we'd need the three extra remotes (color coded with the gloves for each member) to keep the peace in our home. The Zelda game is for my adventure seeking teenage son, and the Avatar game is for our pre-teen daughter.
Then the big day arrived - the Wii came home. I bought it along with the Zelda guidebook and MonkeyBall (after reading about how Monkey ball is a BUNCH of minigames ... we've barely scratched the surface with this one - this is a great party/family game).
After it was all said and done, I increased the GDP by about $750 for the entire system, 3 games, and accessories.
Now - was it worth it?
ABSOLUTELY. I'd score this 10 stars if that was possible!
I predict that the Wii is going to be this Christmas Season's "Elmo" ... but on steroids. Crowds may have been gentle, and considerate for the Wii when compared to the PS3, but I'll guarantee you this ... when your 'Johnny' gets a chance to play the Wii at his friend's home, he's going to be begging you for one - and I doubt crowds will be as cordial if a shortage of Wii's occur.
Our gamecube burned out this summer after 2+ years of loyal service. Our large gamecube game collection sat collecting dust, and the news about the Revolution/Wii hit the streets about the same time. We waited and waited for months, playing XBox and PS2 for a while - but no longer.
To say that the Wii is fun is an understatement. I don't think we've had this much fun 'at home' in a long time. It's so much fun, I had to sneak in a few minutes of bowling before running off to work this morning (while the kids were still sleeping).
Wii Sports - absolutely fun! We're big bowlers - and this was almost like playing at the real bowling alley - except my arm doesn't get sore heaving the ball down the alley. Otherwise, it senses how quickly you release and if you add a little bit of rotation, it will cause the ball to spin to the 'inside' (to the left if you are right handed ... and it doesn't seem to matter which way you rotate your hand).
For those that have frustrations that you need to vent on another family member, check out Boxing! I never thought I'd get into this, but it was alot of fun!
I can't comment on the other parts of Wii Sports yet - we've not tried them all yet! I'll fill in the blanks as time allows. For now, I'll have to let the kids play while I look forward to playing all weekend long (4-day Thanksgiving weekend)!
Warning:
Please - if you're reading this and you haven't figured this out yet - use the wrist straps provided with the Wii (and not the colorful ones that come with the gloves). You can cinch up the grey wrist straps. Wearing the wrist straps is MANDATORY, especially if you have anything that is valuable and fragile in the same area where you are playing. We haven't broken anything (yet), but there's already stories online about a player busting a laptop screen because they didn't use the wrist strap.

Apart from the green and black screen GameBoy, I have never owne a nintendo system. I grew up with the Commodore 64, Sega Megadrive (Genesis) and Playstation 1.
But after seeing a demo of this in our local store, my wife and I had to have it.
It is so much fun and it doesn't feel like you are being lazy and lounging around the house as I often felt lying in front of the Playstation. I was sore for a week after my first day playing the sports pack.
I would definitely recommend getting the extra controllers and also the Wii Fit Board. They just add to the family fun!
The built in Wi-Fi is great and it updates automatically. The "Wii Me" is also a fun way to interact and keep you motivated if you use it for fitness puropses.
Even if you have a PS3 or XBox, add this to you collection ... you won't regret it!

Positive+
-It is fun and the remote works well.
-It's got alot of fun features like the Internet channel and Wii shop.
-You can buy old games (NES, SNES, N64, Genisis, ect)on the wii shop channel. (need wi-fi connection and wii points)
-Games are fun and work well with the Wii remote and nunchuck.
- ECT.
Negitive -
-It's a pain to put a GameCube controller on because the ports are on the top of the Wii, so to avoid knocking over the Wii I turn it on its side, but it just suks. So I got a wireless gamecube controller and they work very well!
-When you first get it, it's kind of confusing on how to sync the Wii Remotes but once you do then you have to get the settings on the Wii to make your remote show up on the screen and that takes a while.
-It takes a while for it to turn off. But that's not the big proplem, if you have Wi-Fi. When it's on the light is Green, when it's off it's red. But if you have Wi-Fi the off color is yellow-orange. It's hard to tell if the light is green or yellow, so I have to wait by the Wii and watch the Wii to see if the color is yellow or green.
I don't know if this helped but these are my + and -.
I also recommend that you buy Wii Play because 1: you get a second Wii remote, 2: you get the game Wii Play which can really help you get used to the Wii Remote and it's fun with 2 people!

Congratulations for Nitendo to dev this game.

The Wii is a lot of fun for people of all ages. I won't go into the product specs because 100s of reviewers have already covered it. What differentiates the Wii from other gaming products is the physical activity it provides with the movement-sensing Wiimote, and the Internet connectivity that makes the News-reading experience more visual (you can look at the World map and drill down to read news in any part of the World). It's an essential add to any family room.
I have connected the Wii directly to my Epson projector (sans the sound until I buy a receiver) and the nearly 100" image makes playing Wii sports (a great source of exercise when it's too late at night to hit the gym or the weather is bad outside) very enjoyable, and I can read the news in Slide-show mode while talking on the phone with family and friends...
The set-up was a cinch! I was able to do it in minutes and hardly needed to read the instructions.

First is the Nintendo Factor. Nintendo is very well-known for having weak support from other developers. If you owned a Nintendo 64 or Gamecube, you might remember waiting 3 or 4 months between triple-A titles, and that hasn't changed. If anything, it's worse, as the motion-sensing controls require developers to both think of an innovative design to incorporate them, and smoothly put them into the game. Not everyone's up to the challenge. The flip side of the Nintendo Factor is that you get Nintendo's first-party titles, which consistently shine as some of the best games on the market. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Smash Brothers Brawl - very safe bets.
If you like playing online, the Wii is a big disappointment. Guitar Hero III has online play, and so will Smash Brothers, but that's about it. This is a far cry from what you'll get on the other consoles. The Virtual Console's selection of vintage games is nice, although it's strictly old console games - no new or independent releases.
Also, be aware of the system's power. Aside from motion-sensing and some of the bells and whistles like an internet browser, this is in the same ballpark as a PS2 or Gamecube. It looks better than either of those, but not by a lot. Nintendo's art style works pretty well on it, with their games being the visual highlights, but the Wii can't do a lot of the things a PS3 or 360 can. Games are getting bigger, more open-ended, and more freeform, and Wii owners aren't going to see a lot of that.
Of course, it's also priced much lower than the other systems - $[...] vs a suspect $[...], with much more still to buy for the latter. The games themselves are $[...] cheaper as well. It certainly doesn't feel like a ripoff.
I focused on those negative points because while the Wii has no shortage of (very well-deserved!) glowing press, those caveats seem to be glossed over by most outside the "gamer culture." If you can handle those issues, I'm sure you and your Wii will be very happy together.

But of course, when I enter in the serial number, the web site can't determine if my brand-new console is under warranty. How lame is that? Calling the 800 number they provide connects me to what sounds like a fax machine. Nice bogus support phone number. If this is the kind of support and quality product I can expect from Nintendo, then maybe I should just return this product.

Pros: I was hesitant at first at getting the Wii because it seems like it is geared more towards children. I have come to find out that it applies to all ages. My wife and I really like the Wii because it is interactive, you get to move your hands, stand up and swing or punch. For other games you are pushing the controller forward or moving the controller around to aim and shoot at things (people) and I really like the real feel to it. It took some getting used to but after that it was all over... we really enjoy it.

Wii has also been great fun for my Big Brothers Big Sister "Little" and I to play together. She is an awesome bowler for being only 10.
I just bought Boom Blox and I've been learning how to play it. It's only throwing, so if you want an all-around aerobic fitness routine, definitely try the sports package (golf, baseball, tennis, boxing, bowling).
P.S. Making your avatar (Mii) character is also some of the silliest fun you'll ever have.

I love how you can interact with the Wii. I primarily use it for exercise. I have the Wii Fit, Gold's Gym Cardio, My Fitness Coach and Wii Sports.
The fact that you can create different Mii's is entertaining.
I think the graphics on most cames could be better.
I think that it is just going to get better and better over time. I am looking forward to being able to play games on line with my friends.

as a current gaming console...there's nothing good to play. zelda and mario galaxy were pretty fun but they lack the depth of comparable titles on the other two systems. This generation of gaming consoles is pretty tricky, but the wii is the most shallow and stripped down of them all. Once the magic of Wii Sports wears off, its pretty much over because there isn't anything you can really immerse yourself in. And its no cheaper than an Xbox (and somewhat compared to ps3) because if you buy controllers to play its smorgasborg of quick multiplayer games you're set back another $[...].

First, the good:
The technology itself. I love the Wii Remote, and how it makes the player a part of the game. This is a technology, that when used to the proper extent on games like Twilight Princess, is amazing and completely captivating. Nintendo hits it out of the park on this one.
Second, I like the Mii channel, where you can create a video game sprite in your own image. It's cool.
Third, the system is easy to set up. I had this thing up and running in less than 15 minutes. That's my idea of a well-designed console.
And finally, the Virtual Console. For those who grew up on Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, Kid Icarus, Ninja Gaiden, etc., this is a godsend. Being able to play all those old-school games is simply great.
But there is the bad...
First, Wii scalpers. Seriously, you guys are dicks. I live in a small town and it took me 18 months to find a Wii because of you people. It would be nice if you'd let some ordinary gamers who only want one system buy a console at retail price. You people suck.
Second, every now and then the remote and the sensor bar don't exactly cooperate with each other. But this is rare, and not a big deal.
Finally, there are too many middling and unappealing games for the Wii. Most of the best stuff has come from Nintendo itself. It seems most companies haven't yet figured out how to best take advantage of the Wii technology. I hope they figure this out, because this is a great system and I would like to see some better games for it.
But the Wii is fun and user-friendly. And that's what matters.
