This headset can be used for telephone conversation through Skype or other such programs and it can also be used for gaming or you can use it just to listen to music with your iPod or MP3 player. One of the things I like is the inline volume control because if your computer or iPod doesn't turn up loud enough for you.....the inline volume lets you crank it up even more. For the price, you can't beat this headset and if something does happen to it....it is cheap enough to buy another one. :o)

I'd originally had a video presentation to go with this but for some reason it won't successfully post to amazon, so unfortunately all I have is the written review.I liked that this was easy to set up and use, although that's generally a feature of most headsets out there. The audio quality of this unit was nice and I enjoyed being able to listen to music on my computer without using my iPod's earbuds. Also nice is the microphone, which will come in handy for my German language software. I was able to do some test recordings of my voice and I was able to get a nice clear recording. The microphone swivels so you can adjust it to whichever side of your head that you prefer. I didn't really have an opinion on this part of the unit, but I know some people prefer the mic on different sides of their head.As far as recording overall goes, I did do a little test to see how well the noise reduction quality was and I discovered that it does work relatively well. You can record with soft music or sound in the background and not have it be overwhelming. If you're looking to record something, I would recommend that you not use this in a moderately noisy environment though since it does pick that up enough to where it's slightly noticeable. If you're just looking to chat in the middle of the living room with the tv on, this won't be an issue.The one big problem I had was that the ear padding just felt really cheap, which sort of irritated me considing the price of the headset. I liked the microphone and the way the unit sat on my head, but the ear pads just didn't make it feel like a thirty dollar headset. (The price at the time of this review.)Overall this is a good headset for students looking for something to help with their language learning, casual users, or people just starting out in podcasting. If you're looking for something a little more professional, you won't really find that here. This is predominantly for casual everyday use.

they worked well for gaming for a little bit of time but after about a year of infrequent use the microphone has started to no longer work and causes feedback all the time.

Pros:+ Comfortable. Fits snugly around the ears, but not so tight it would bother you. Can be worn on a normal sized head (I hope my head is normal sized...) for long periods of time.+ Cheap.+ Long cord (8-9 feet ish?)+ In-line control for muting the mic/adjusting the volume.+ Microphone quality is great!Cons:- Left headphone loses sound periodically unless the wire is held JUST SO and I don't move. (aka it doesn't work ever.) This happened after under four months of heavy use.- Behind-the-head design is uncomfortable if you want to recline or lie back.- Microphone can swivel up and down, but not closer to or farther from your mouth.Verdict:This headset is fine if you don't need to use it very often, but if you use it daily it's just not going to hold up. Spend more and get one that lasts so you don't have to be exasperated and angry at life in a few months' time.

What is good - the headset is cheap and it works,bad - audio quality, the only thing I can really use it for is skype (and not very happy with this use to be honest), for anything else even 10 dollar earbuds are better option.I am dissappointed, but you get what you pay for.

The Logitech Stereo Headset H250 is a reasonable headset, a step up from the cheap "disposable" headsets I have used in the past but with a few limitations that prevent me from calling them great. Note that when applicable I'm using the GE 98974 Stereo Headset to compare to the H250 below.Fit: No issues with the fit - they work with my large head and adjust to my children's smaller heads without issue. They don't put undue pressure on my ears or head, so I would not expect to have any issues wearing these for extended periods.Build: All plastic as expected, but definitely sturdier than the GE headset. The cord and volume / mute switch are also a step up in quality.Microphone: No problems with the sound - it's was difficult to compare it to other headsets but I got no complaints when using it for online gaming. My only quibble is that the microphone swivels too easily - I find myself occasionally knocking it out of position.Headphones: Adequate. The bass is decidedly weak and overall there is a rather hollow sound with these, so I would never use these for serious music listening. And if your a gamer who want to hear every *crash* and *BOOM* in high fidelity you should consider stepping up to a more expensive product. But for typical headset usage they work OK. Also note that the headphones are not sealed; those around will hear what you are listening to, and you will hear more outside noise than if the headphones covered your ears.Compatibility: This a standard non-USB device, with a 6 foot cord and separate headphone and microphone plugs at the end. The volume adjustment and microphone mute switch are located about 2 feet away from the headset.Overall I like the Logitech H250 headset for what it is - a relatively inexpensive headset that gets the job done and appears to built well enough to last for a while.

I thought it would sturdy and it didn't come in orginal packaging when i ordered it. I don't care if its a wholesale or whatever. If it said new i would expect regular packaging. don't call me to make me erase the comment. It wouldn't make any sense to do that just cause it has a bad review.

The Logitech H250 Stereo Headset has a suggested retail price of $29.99 and an average street price of around $20. This places the H250 squarely in the lower mid range among headsets. It's not as cheap and underpowered as the Logitech H110 (street price $13) but it's not as impressive as the Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset (street price $120).After using the H250 headset for a few weeks I can honestly say it works about as well as I'd expect a $20 headset to work. By that, I mean the stereo headphones put out decent volume with adequate range but you'll hear significant distortion in the bass (listening to music with a heavy bass track isn't particularly enjoyable using this headset). On a more positive note, the noise-cancelling microphone works very well at reducing background noise and maintaining adequate levels while recording your voice. I used the H250 while playing several multiplayer online games and recorded an audio track for a web video and my voice came through with excellent quality.I also enjoyed the in-line controls for volume and microphone mute. It's nice to be able to lower the speaker volume using the volume wheel or flip a switch to turn off the microphone during an online game.The adjustable padded headband and foam ear cups are reasonably comfortable but I found the padding on more expensive headsets to be even more comfortable than the H250. In short, the H250 offers decent value in its price range and is a modest step up from the small speakers and weak microphone inside your laptop.

PROS:-> Great mic.-> Good sound.CONS:-> I've been through a few of these within 1 year... at $25 a piece, i expected them to last alot longer.-> Cables are VERY fragile. (all it takes is 1 accidental tug, and mic AND sound starts messing up).-> Have had more than 8 people complain to me that they can hear themselves, and whatever is on my computer. (and NO, I did not have speakers on).-> After only 2 months, they went for me (about 4 of them).-> Have to constantly wiggle the cable around to get both speakers to work, and mic. -> If i move my head, LITERALLY about an inch, they mess up again.All in all, they were great, til ALL of them decided to break. NOTE: I'm VERY careful with my things, especially electronics. (I even have playstation 1 game disks with NO scratches or smudges from when i was younger). I've always been very careful with valuables. Don't waste your money. I LOVE logitech, and it hurts me to say that :P I have speakers that work flawlessly from them for over a year or 2.TL;DR: Great for a couple months, then break. Have been through 4 within a year. Waste of money. Get a different brand, or invest more money into some of Logitech's better products.

A Christmas gift for my boys, they still use it...they did put some tape wrapped around near the ear pieces to make them more comfortable. Would use this seller again.

So this product I didn't order from amazon but it's still the same thing. Got it from bestbuy with my last 30 dollars from christmas and my first PC headset. The sound quality is ok but the headset isn't exactly comfy. Since the padding is directly on the ears, it sometimes causes your ear to itch and become hot. There is no sort of redeeming thing about this headset because it's not really comfy. I imagine if people want to buy something they want to be happy and comfortable with their purchase and I can't say this headset justifies itself to that. After one hour of listening my ears are already uncomfortable and annoying. I used this with games and listening to music. So all in all, don't buy it. Save up for one of more comfort and sound quality

It is a very nice headset for its price. So far it has been working very good for skyping, music and watching tv. I didn't give it 5 stars because when you move your head the plastic of the headset makes a lot of noises.

I found this headset about a good as it gets -- or as is needed -- for routine PC tasks, especially Skype calls. I used it to give a lecture to my remotely scattered class of students and for a number of conference meetings. Good quality sound and very simple but useful controls that are on the clip-on button -- adjusting the volume and muting the mike. The sound is clear and crisp, the mike picks speech up very responsively and the headset delivers a clean reception right into the ear and screening out outside noise; it's low on resonance and color which is ideal for Skype calls where all I want is to be able to talk and listen; obviously, it makes this a so-so headset for listening to music but that is not what this is designed for.My hesitations that make this a 4 rather than 5 star review are commonplace ones -- construction and durability. This type of headset gets whipped on and off a lot, adjusted and wiggled around. It's new so I can't judge when something will start snapping or wearing out, but I think it's a when not an if. The ear phones are a quite good fit, the mike quite good in bendability and swivelability (sorry - I can't find better words) and the headset itself quite good in its soliditiy, fit and strength of construction. But these are all "quite" not "very." I anticipate maybe a year of use before something starts showing signs of incipient breaking. That still make this a good choice -- it's in the very good category for audio and ease of use. The price is perhaps a tiny bit higher than some other quite good options but only by about 5-8 dollars.All in all, this is a good choice for PC conferencing and phone calls. I recommend you consider it; I don't know of any obviously better pick.

I bought 2 of these headsets for me and my husband. I was very surprised at the quality. While they don't sound like Bose headsets, they don't cost nearly as much either! They are being used while gaming and everyone said that I was coming thru clearly while speaking thru the mic on Ventrilo. Highly recommend these for anyone that needs a decent headset at a very reasonable price! I think these would be excellent for school projects as well.

The sound quality is really good. I could hear things much better than with my last set of headphones. But that's the only good part about this. The headset is nonadjustable and just feels awkward to wear if it's too big for your head, and uncomfortable if your head is too big for it. Secondly, the mic does not work. I tried to do as much as I could with it, but without a clear idea as to what does what(the shipment came with no instructions and the obvious plug wasn't so obvious), I could not get it to work with anything.Buyers beware. While Logitech does indeed make some good products, this is certainly not one of them. Avoid this one and spend your money on something better.

these headphones work pretty well. I like the fact that they fit behind the head, around the nape (neck) rather than on top. That makes it more comfortable when sitting upright, not for lying down though. Volume control is easily accessible, so one doesn't need to change the volume for the PC. Additionally, the mic works really well. A little sensitive but very clear and clean.

I have needed a new headset for some time now, so the Logitech Stereo Headset H250 seemed to fit my needs. Unfortunately, this headset has an issue that makes it necessary for me to resume my search.Pros:The microphone and sound quality is great. The noise cancellation software is also good, as I didn't hear any background noise when recording with Audacity.Cons:My only bad experience with the product has been with the discomfort of the earphones. The earphones are hard, flat, plastic platforms with thin foam coverings. These provide little relief when your ears are feeling somewhat mashed. Over time, the effect gets much worse.I first thought that my discomfort might be my imagination and that I was possibly being too sensitive. However, when I learned that my teenage son had a similar complaint (after wearing it for a little more than two hours while playing video games), I began to take my concern more seriously. What starts as an annoyance turns into searing pain. My son tried to resolve this by simply taking them off and trying again the next day. However, instead of a gradual decline, his ears immediately felt the most intense pain. Now, he stays completely away from the headset.In conclusion, our family has discovered that the pain incurred during lengthy usage quickly overshadows the pros. The headset could greatly benefit from a more ergonomic design. Since the surface of the ear is not flat, it would seem that providing more "give" to accommodate the ear would be in order.This has been a truly revealing experience in how a seemingly small issue can have a substantial effect over time.

I have no complaints about this product, but simply wanted to share that this is not a USB headset. It has 3.5mm jacks for the microphone and earpieces. The product description (at least at the time) did not specify the type of connector. I was assuming USB. Again, it probably is a fine headset. I just wanted to write this so someone else would not make the same assumption I did.

I just bought these headphones and they work great. The sound is very good (but not audiophile quality) and the microphone works well. I have noticed that the headphones are a bit tight on me, but it may be due to a slightly larger head size... All in all, they are a good value and worth the price!

This is a cheap product, but don't expect it to last more than a few months. I did like the long cord, and the price. The speakers stopped working within 3 months of purchase.

I bought multiple brands of headsets to try out. These were good - but boom mike was a little short and I had call participants complain they could not hear me. I had to wear them off the ear so the mike was closer to my mouth. Once I did this, they sounded good.....maybe they would be good for folks with a smaller head.

As the title suggests, these headphones are decent. So far I haven't had any issues with compatibility with the ports on my motherboard, and the sound isn't very grainy. These aren't the most comfortable headphones I've ever used, however those were BOSE and well those are quite expensive. Note: I expected these Logitech headphones to not be amazingly comfortable. The microphone also pics up my voice fairly well, and it works with Steam's "transmit as you speak" feature. That and it works with skype, this is an effective product. I don't really care that much about grainy sound or how perfectly it picks up the sound through the mic, so the ~$20 buck price was worth it for me. End thought: If you want something that works, even if it might not be the best product on the market this is a very viable choice. However, if you want something amazing: look at products over $50 because below that stop kidding yourself.Note on my self: I am generally a "logitech fanboy"
