These are really good! I'm on my 2nd pair because they upgraded me when I expressed my 1 and only complaint...
MY COMPLAINT-
When the battery gets low, they start to BEEP EVERY 20 SECONDS FOR THE LAST 20 MINUTE OF BATTERY LIFE!
Who's idea was that?
That was very nice of them to replace my old ones with a new pair of better ones, but the new ones do it too!!
I hate it... once they get low battery, they start beeping and that may last for 20 minutes before they actually die.
That means that while I'm running or whatever, I know that my battery is low, but I can't enjoy that last 20 minutes of music because of the beeping! I don't need to be "ALERTED" that my batter is low at all. I will figure it out when the music stops! Besides, there is no way to re-charge them when I am running anyway, so just let me enjoy the music in peace!!

After spending a few moments sizing these properly and testing them in my living room, I REALLY wanted to like these earbuds. The sound quality is great and they're incredibly comfortable, however the Bluetooth connectivity is godawful. With my phone in the front pocket of my jeans the connection would skip from time to time while doing yard work, and while out for a run with my phone in a pocket on my thigh they were incredibly unreliable to the point where I turned around after a few blocks and dropped them off at home. Jaybird states in their user manual that the sweet spot for signal strength is around your chest and upper arms, but who wears a device in that region without some sort of accessory? You'd think for two hundred dollars these would come with an armband or something that would at least let you use it in the zone it specifies. I'll be returning these and replacing them with a pair with better connectivity.

Earbuds fit nice and the selection of ear tips is a plus, the size of the earbuds were also smaller than other similar choices, however, I returned these headphones within hours because of the sound quality. The issue I have with the sound quality was the noticeable absence of bass and the over accentuation of the highs. At first I though I was just being picky but I then listened to several songs with the Jaybirds then switched to my cheap Samsung headphone and HTC headphones I had gotten with various smartphones, to my disappointment the cheap wired headphones that came with the smartphones sounded better. The difference was noticeable enough that I felt $200 could not be justified and returned the Jaybirds. I have since bought the Sol Republic shadow wireless earbuds (at half the price I might add) and am much more pleased with the overall sound. For $200 I was expecting much better sound and would have given a 5 star ratting if it was not for the sound quality.

The Good -
- Bluetooth connection is strong.
- The headphones are definitely comfortable.
- The sound. It won't blow you away but they certainly sound good. Do you care about bass? It's there but don't expect your teeth to rattle. No distortion at high volume!
- Battery life. You can run them almost all day. They claim eight hours. I went beyond that on a day that I was doing yardwork. My phone died first. Very impressive!
The Bad -
- The case. Garbage. You won't use it just because opening and closing it is such a pain.
- The documentation. You get a tiny card with three tiny pictures on it that explain almost nothing. It's so bad you can't help but laugh. Full documentation is online.
There are a few items that can be improved but these still smoke my cheap MPOW headphones that I was using before. They're a little on the pricey side but they deliver a great experience once you learn how to use them.

$50 headphones, $100+ in convenience ...
These headphones sound flat, lack volume and simply provide a mediocre listening experience.
They can be a little bothersome on the ears for long periods as they are pretty big.
They do serve a purpose, I use them for working out (depends on what I'm training that day). If you're doing arms, back and chest (your arms moving around and the dangling cable can become a nuisance) this work perfect.
For legs, and cardio I still prefer corded headphones.
This kind of technology will only get better... But right now these suffer all the early adopters problems... You're overpaying for a new technology that can still be beat by its traditional counter part (corded headphones) for a fraction of the cost. Any 150$ corded headset will sound better than this. Simple as that.

I don't have a pair of X2s, but I currently have two pairs of BlueBuds Xs. As an avid runner, over the years I've also owned several previous versions of Jaybird earbuds as well as a variety of other brands. I've been using my BlueBuds since 2012 without any issues, sweat-induced or otherwise. However, in the previous 10-15 years I've sweated out virtually every sweat-resistant headset I've owned, even a couple of Jaybird headsets. I've found that Jaybird stands solidly behind their replacement guarantee regarding sweat failure, with quick replacement, no questions asked. If you're looking to listen to the symphony, there may be better headsets, although I'm very satisfied with the BlueBuds X sound and features (but tastes vary). If your focus is on working out hard and consequently expect to sweat a lot, I highly recommend Jaybird headsets.

This improves on the origibal in several important ways: the texture on the outside of the headphones is very important to keeping the ear flanges in place which keeps the headphones in place even when you are sweating a lot. This is a huge deal to me.
The wireless reception is noticeably improved. It was the best I'd seen on the BlueBuds X, and these are even better. The sound is also a little bit better. I loved the sound on the previous model and this is an improvement.
They seemed stiff out of the box but use has made them feel great and supple just like my BlueBuds X.
These and the original BlueBuds X are the only Bluetooth headphones that I can personally recommend to anyone. And I've tried a LOT.

I have owned two pairs of Jaybird bluetooth headphones and they work amazingly well with really fantastic sound quality. Far better than Apple earpods or other wireless headphones. I actually had an issue with my Jaybirds where the charging port became loose. I contacted Jaybird and they were so friendly and helpful. They sent me a brand new pair of the newest version right to my doorstep for free. It's been over 2 years and I'm still using them regularly for phone calls while driving, listening to music while jogging and working out. The fitting sizes they provide are soft, work perfectly and never make my ears sore. I'm so glad I purchased them!! Thanks a lot Sarah@jaybirdsport.com for your help. Companies that care like this are becoming more and more few and far between. Thanks again for your great product and service. Will 100% buy again.

I bought these with great hesitation. First of all they are very very expensive i always thought. Also I was skeptical if it would deliver the quality i would want, I like bass heavy buds (listen a lot of hip hop and RB). Well After braking more than 5 buds in a year (working out), i bought these. These are the first buds which REALLY fit in my ear and DONT come out during a whole work-out !! I have to manually take them out. They come with various earsize inserts etc, so you have to try a few before you will find the best fit for you. I own several Sony MDR headphones, and the sound quality from these buds is very comparable. Tight bass and very clear mid and high range freq. response. Also the battery life is really 8 hours, I only charge them once a week.
In short: i never owned buds which were a tight fit as these, comfortable and rich in sound. I started using them more and more for also regular things, as the sound is a delight and it filters out the outside noise.

What can I say? The new Jaybird Bluebuds X2 are simply amazing! I’m not one that traditionally like “bud” type headphones as they tend to hurt my ears, but the X2’s fit comfortably allowing me to complete my work out without discomfort or readjustment. Getting the cord management clips on and adjusted properly to my liking took a little time. But once adjusted, I hardly even know they are there. The Comply foam ear tips are extremely comfortable, much better than the silicone alternative. Sound quality good, considering the 6 mm driver size. My Bose SoundTrue headphones have a better sound, but they are not wireless as the X2’s are. If you’re looking for a great pair of wireless headphones, look no further. The Jaybird X2s are the way to go!

The new Jaybird X2's are awesome! Really like the size of these bad boys. I can throw them in my pocket (pants or shirt) and hit the trail.
Wireless is the way to go, all the way. After using them I can't go back to any cables attached to my iphone. Not the same.
Basically built to handle any outdoor sport. Sweat proof, ear buds fit nicely, and comply ear tips are sick. Most importantly for me though is the secure fit and seriously good sound. Have taken the X2's out on training runs in hills, rock scrambles, and lots of days on my mtn bike. Like that they come with multiple ear fins. I went with the medium ones. My favorites are 1st the long battery life about 8 hours which lasts me at least a couple adventures a week and 2nd the new colors are killer, Fire Red and Midnight Black are fresh. I'm an outdoor junkie so I went with stealth black model. Goes with everything. Can't wait to get the red ones though!

These are the best wireless headsets I've currently tried for exercising. I started off with some cheap sport set that didn't last too long. Next was the jabra sport, but are not as sweat proof that they would like to think. Gave up after the second set breaking to sweat. I took apart the second set to see what happened and the circuit board was covered in a white resedue that could only be dried up sweat shorting out the circuits. I will say I had to get a replacement set of these Jaybird's, the headset went crazy autodialling my contact list. But the customer service was excellent and offered to replace them with no hassle. They send a brand new set, giving the new set a full year for the manufactures warranty. This is a company that knows how to treat their customers and recommend them to anyone looking for a good set to workout with.

It fits well. With multiple sizes of ear tips, I didn't realize this also came with ear fins. My first experience with ear fins (on a different set) did not go well. On the other set, it felt as if the fins prevented the ear tips from properly seating in my ear canal. These Jaybird have avoided that problem and it's a nice fit. Additionally, the Jaybird fins have a little more rubberized feel than my other set, which I've noticed doesn't create hot spots on the outer ear.
These are nice and well-designed. I had no problem syncing via Bluetooth. The case is also unique and reminds me of a rubber coin purse that my grandfather used to carry. Just push on opposing corners and the lid is exposed. Otherwise, you have a nice water resistant case. Brilliant.

Unlike many people, the wireless aspect is not that important to me with earbuds. Useful but not critical. What I really liked about these was that setting up pairing with my iPad and iPhone was a snap. After properly fitting my earpieces felt good and stable. The carrying case is unique as is the packaging and the overall presentation.
In my opinion the sound and earpiece fit are inferior to my Bose headphones. I never was able to get the same flawless fit with these earbuds. The sound was good but not exceptional. I found it a bit tinny across musicaI genres. also disliked the user guide graphics online. The white on gray instructions were hard on the eye. I do think the product would benefit from more substantial instructions with the product.
These are my first wireless headphones and I am happy to have them. I want to stress how easy these were to "pair" up with my devices. That's a definite topnote for these headphones and this company.

I was lucky to get these on a deal for attending a trade show they were at. Our booth was next door to them, and when they offered a nice deal for purchasing them, I felt compelled to right a review of them to say thank you. I was not asked to do this.
First, they sound incredible. Headphone sound quality is very subjective, but I cant imagine anyone saying anything bad about the sound of these. They sound amazing.
The overall build quality is also excellent. You can tell these are quality.
The overall presentation of what you get is also very high end. All the pieces are well made and nothing on it is "cheap"
For running, you want something that stays in place and is unnoticed. These do exactly that. Take the time to fit each of the fins to see what is best for you. For me, it was the medium set. They stay in my ear perfectly and i dont notice them at all.

I am highly disappointed in this purchase. After reading many reviews indicating these headphones were awesome, I spent the 200 bucks to buy them.
The sound is less than impressive. There is very little bass and oveall sound quality is no better than 20 dollar throw away head phones.
These headphones are not balanced or weighted right. When you just hang the headset around your neck, it always slides heavy one way or the other. I'm sure I will loss them!
When working out, these headphone get stuck to my skin so when I turn my head they pull out of my ear.
I want to return these headphones! 200 bucks is a lot of money to be this disappointed. I missed my return period by 5 days. MORE Than Pissed Right Now.

I THIS IS MY 2ND VERSION (ORIGINAL JAYBIRD OWNER) AND THEY DO NOT PAIR WELL WITH THE SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4. THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION IS CONSISTENTLY INTERRUPTED UPON PAIRING AND TURNED ON. WHEN I ATTEMPT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE STARTING MY RUN, IT LITERALLY TAKES 15 MINUTES AND 14 LOST BLUETOOTH CONNECTIONS (NO EXAGGERATION) BEFORE THEY START WORKING WITH CONSISTENCTY. THIS HAPPENS EACH AND EVERY TIME. It's too bad, the ear buds asr great, comfortable and great sound quality. They just don't do well with my phone and I am returning them. I wish someone could help me with my connectivity, but Jaybird was at a loss. Too $$ to put up with bad connectivity. Seems elementary and easy fix, but...

So I usually don't write reviews but I figured I would for these since they're kind of expensive. The Jaybird bluebud x2s are REALLY convenient for everyday activities just because there is no cord to get caught up on things (as I'm sure everyone can relate.) I really like the idea of Bluetooth earbuds and you can have a pretty good distance between you and your phone before any connection issues come up. The only thing that disappoints me is 1. The sounds quality is nothing spectacular as I could barely tell a difference between these and my $25 earbuds. 2. It might just be me but when I put in the ear fasteners to make sure they don't slip out of my ear I feel a lot of pressure and uncomfortableness that I just can ignore. I've tried all the sizes and I just can't get around how it irritates my ear. I like these for the convenience but I think I might return them just due to the disappointing sound and the uncomfortableness.

UPDATE: After using this product for several days now, I am adding a star to my original review. These headphones have allowed me to hear sounds in songs I've never heard before. I find the price still quite high, but if you're an audiophile it might not deter you. These are quite remarkable.

I've been using the new X2's since about mid-Aug and I couldn't be happier with them. Leading a constant active outdoor life style I NEEDED a great wireless ear buds set up. I've gone through several other brands and straight forward, NONE of them performed close to the Jaybird X2's. Obviously there are other wireless options out there in a smaller price range, but not after I add up the $65 to $99 I spent on the previous 3 or 4 pair. The sound quality on these is amazing, the fit is SECURE and the distance I can actually be from my phone while training is a 10. I use my buds while climbing, skating, running and training in the gym and the different ways I can wear the X2's depending on what I'm doing is the clincher. Wireless buds are no longer a thing of the future, but basically a standard now so get a good pair! These are them! Super down with the matte color options they offer as well!

I had the original Jaybird freedom and Jaybird definitely came a long way. The sound used to drop off if my iPhone was on the wrong side or more than 6 feet away. Don't have those issues anymore and and the music quality is pretty good for BT. I wouldn't be too critical on the sound quality as this is something that you would use during workout and flight, not for recording and listening for sound accuracy. These are meant to sound good while giving you the freedom to run around cord free.
Normally I use the medium silicon tips but for this I bought Comply's T-500 memory foam tips in red, blue, black pack (red for right & blue for left), takes some time to get used them at first but you get a much more custom/isolated sound and can wear for a long time and not feel them. Silicon tips tends to make my ears fatigue over time because its not form fitting. I wear the X2 over ear and do make the cable control more snug so they'd feel more secure.

The Jaybird X2 Bluetooth headphones were designed for being used while working out or while being active. They offer six different bud covers (small, medium and large in both an active foam and a silicon) plus three different wings that help keep the buds securely in place while you are moving. The wings feel a little weird at first but you stop noticing them after awhile. Also if you are just using the headphones while staying still, you don't have to put on the wings. The most important of any set of headphones is how do they sound. The Jaybirds are merely satisfactory. The connection is not an issue, I didn't experience any dropping of the signal. The sound is not as dynamic or as deep and rich as others. As far as comfort and fit, they more than fit the bill, just don't expect to be blown away by the sound. Also, they do have a long battery life and charging them is simple. One of the buds pops open to where you connect a USB charger.

Talking on them was mediocre for the price. I was told I sounded fair away. However I really had no problem hearing people on my end.
I did push myself through a whole workout wearing these before I returned them, and in the aspect they did shine. Great noise isolation, good sound, and never got in my way. Again I had to adjust them, but mainly because of the pain.
I have tried the Powerbeats2 also, but I liked them even less.
Bottle line; if you can find a fit for you with these headphones I don't think you will be disappointed.

My first set of blue tooth headphones. Overall I like them. The overall design is excellent. You get several sets of ear pieces so it's hard to imagine someone not being able to find a good fit. The sound quality is excellent. As good as anything I've owned. Not too much bass, and smooth high end that is not at all harsh. Great for audiobooks, vocals and jazz. I was a bit worried about battery power, at only 6 hours per charge. I tend to listen at lower volumes and I got around 7 hours before having to recharge.
Just a couple of nit picks. The cord rumble is a bit more pronounced than expected. And at $175, this is definitely a bit more than I thought. Overall, a first rate set of headphones.
