These bluetooth headphones are awesome. They are sweat resistant, small, everything you'd want in headphones for the gym.
HOWEVER- mine stopped working after 1.5 yrs or so. I emailed them and they had my ship them back. They shipped me brand new (retail box) headphones almost immediately. Their customer support team was awesome to work with and chat with. They truly stand behind their product. This is the sort of company you want to buy from. They are passionate about building a good product and supporting it.

Well to be honest; I've made quite a lot of research before buying this product and I loved it before I bought it. So it is no different after I started using it. The only cons is that it is a bulky in-ear headphone. I wear my beret while running due to weather conditions and the bulkiness of the product makes you look funny :) Well I don't have any problems with that but some other person might have..

This is my first set of Bluetooth headphones. The sound quality is amazing and the battery life even better!
However as much as I can praise these the only thing I have an issue with is they make my ears really sore after around 15-20mins use. I have tried different buds (with and without the fins) and its still the same. I just can't find the reason why these hurt my ears.

Funny buy! I've had these for about a year now. The only thing positive I can say is that they are Bluetooth and the battery life is decent. However, the rubber ear plugs fall off constantly. (both when in your ear and when out) I nearly had to go to urgent care when one became completely stuck in my ear. What's more, the rubber wings fall off and are easily lost. They don't stay in when you sweat. And if all that were not enough, they charge you an arm and a leg every time you have to get new rubber ear plugs!

These headphones are pretty sweet, the range is much better than the normal Jaybird Freedom Spirit. My only complaints are the stock earbuds are pretty much worthless if you workout with these or get any moisture on them. They fall out and do not stay in at all, I replace all of my earbuds with the Comply Foam Sport + ear tips. Just recently Comply Foam came out with some specifically designed for the X2 as well and they fit much better than making the others fit. As for clarity these are top notch but lack much bass.

I bought this over a year ago at best buy , I'm very happy with it the sound is great its light weight and controls are easy to access , if they could only change their ear pieces to fit better so we can get the BASS and sound better it would be best , If i hold my fingers on the ear pieces while I'm listening to my music I get a GREAT SOUND quality .
So please JAYBIRD , change those ear pieces , you have a wonderful product minus this little issue .

I love these headphones! I have been using my X2's for a little over 3 months and they have been stellar! I love the new colors they added in the X2's. I also have had my white pair of X1's for 2 years with no issue! I was a little skeptical at first because of all of the other BlueTooth headsets I had purchased but these have far exceeded my expectations!

I had used the first generation of these headphones for a couple years. In open spaces, I experienced signal dropout and got around 4 hours of continuous play. I opted to replace that set with the X2 model being told that both the BTW connectivity and the battery life were improved. I've seen the same signal loss as the original model, battery life gad improved some over previous model. The most notable improvement was the comfort level of the ear wings and the comply ear buds give a more secure fit.

Previously owned the two BlueBud X's which I used over several years until the battery issue went on each of them. Their costumer service department sent a replacements for the damage buds and an upgrade to the X2's on my last request. Since I am still trying them out so I could not perform ans in-depth review, initially they are a significant improvement to the X's, fit and sound a greatly improved. I used them for workouts and I sweat mildly, lets see how these bud hold up over time.

-Fit was difficult to dial in for best fit, make sure to take a good amount of time to find the most comfortable way to wear these. Luckily there is a lot of customization available with the wings and 6 sets of eartips provided. Finding the best way for you will greatly improve your experience with these.

I got these a while back, probably over a year ago, but they still look and sound like new, I really love these headphones and for Bluetooth they sound amazing, as for the sweat resistant, hasn't failed me once in over the year and running at least 3 times a week and gym the other days, only complaint I have is I lost the medium tips and I'm too lazy to buy them again (hence why the review is two years later), but that's my own fault, although I never took them off.... But overall great headphones

Purchased these through the Jaybird website as they were slightly cheaper. I lost my pair of Bluebuds X, so I decided to replace them with the newer X2. Sound is about the same, battery life seems to be slightly better. I think the earfins are the biggest upgrade. They seem more rigid, so there is less adjustment while working out. I give it 4 stars because I enjoy the product, but I don't think the price difference between the X and X2 versions justifies the upgrade.

The X2's are amazing!! The quality of sound is great! I had the bluebuds originally and enjoyed those as well but the tips wouldn't fit perfectly which caused a little bit of issues when working out. But the X2's has foam ear tips which fits in my ear like a glove!
It's great to be able to workout and not worry about my headphones falling out and I also use my X2's to talk on the phone. It definitely has made certain parts of my life easier.
I haven't had to use the warranty as of yet, knowing that I have such a good warranty plan made the purchase easier.

They asked, and I appreciate that, but the news is not good. I have purchased the J2 twice. I will not again. Each that I got had blue tooth reception issues that made it such that people I spoke to asked that I not use my J2. The problem happened on two different J2's and, least someone blame the phone, on two different iPhones, a iPhone 6 Plus, and on my current iPhone 6S. I have a different blue tooth ear piece that works just fine and I get no communication complaints.

I bought these on a whim before my last race. I have since run with them for a month straight and I'm pretty sure I can't go back. I'd have to say the best way to review them for me is to say the 1 time I forgot them, it was noticeable. I couldn't stand any regular headphones in their place & I sorely missed them. I ended up running without headphones for that time. These are by far the most wonderful headphones I've purchased and hope to continue recommend them to my friends and family.

I am very happy with the x2's. I had the original ones and ran over them with the car. I called Jaybird and they took care of me offering me a trade in credit if I send the originals back. I did that and ordered the new X2's. I love them even more. The sound is clearer and they feel more substantial. The Jaybird team has the best customer service I have ever seen. In stead of just getting mad and giving them bad reviews, give them the chance to make it right. You will not be disappointed.

These are great your phones. I have used these for about 5 years now. I got them first when I was deployed to Afghanistan they work great the noise is loud and you can you feel the bass in your ears. Also what's great about this company is that totally stick to the warranty I send them back to jaybird and they send me a new pair when they realized it was not my fault.. Also if there's any upgrades to the earphones they send them for free. Also the battery life does last about 3 hours.

I have used these as a wireless headphone but not during any serious activity. So I can't speak to any of the issues caused by sweating. The headphones work and sound great. I fiddled with the fit, but once done they work great. I like the idea of having more than one way to route the cable. Sound is good but can't beat a good set of wired headphones. Battery life is good and recharge is easy and relatively quick. In all, a good buy.

Caveat being, I loved the X1's. Are the X2 awesome? Yes, but so were the X1's. The battery life is definitely better. Also, the mic seems to be better (I use them for conference calls a lot, and I'm not getting the "can you speak up" complaints as much). They also ship with both the foam and silicon ear buds (I prefer the foam).
If you are buying for the first time, most definitely get these. If you already have X1's...well, for me it was worth it. I always kept a spare set (mostly crappy) for when I was recharging my X1's. It's nice now to have an awesome set (X1) and an even better set (X2).

I really like the fit and sound of these.
The glairing weakness, however, is the poor fit of the ear pieces on the stem. 90% of the time when I remove the buds the earpiece remains lodged in my ear. Very difficult to remove so I have to wait until I get home to retrieve the tweezers and pluck the pieces from my ear cavity.
I have suggested a "ribbed" stem yet received no reply form the company.
When these give up I will look for replacement from another company.

These are some of the best wireless headphones I have used. I use them for the gym and running and they stay in my ear with ease and rarely fall out unless I'm doing a major amount of jumping. The sound quality and bass is phenomenal and the battery life lasts me 5 days when i use it for only working out. I would highly highly suggest these headphones

I use these during heavy weight training work outs, or at least I used to until the right earbud stopped working after 7 months. The cord is too long and gets in the way at times. I am an audiophile yet I found the sound quality acceptable. You have to play around a bit to find a fit that works for you and if you sweat much they will begin to slide out of your ear.

There okay and I have got by with them. You can hear your footsteps through them as you run and that can get old quick! They keep a good charge and the sound quality is good.
The little ear buds are always falling off so you have to keep an eye on them when you are carrying them around.
I had an question when I first got them and never got a response from anyone at the company after leaving voice mails and emails.
Would not purchase these again.

Amazing lightweight headphones. I got a free replacement when my old headphones stopped working. Imagine that! Which company does this, no questions asked? The replacement headphone I got starting having some issue later on after a few days, wherein if I used to jog wearing it, I could hear something jiggling inside the headphones which would keep making noise. Apart from that, it works flawlessly.

I was surprised how secure they are! Once I place them in the position in which I'm comfortable with I rarely need to adjust them. The sound is fantastic, with good low ends. I the battery life seems to be a little shorter than I expected, but I have only charged them twice, so I'll continue to monitor that. I getting nearly six hours of listening pleasure out of them, before this lovely voice tells me they are turning off.

I can not get these things to fit or stay in my ear. Over the ear or under the ear, very uncomfortable. The cord pounding on the back of the neck with under the ear is uncomfortable with each step I take. Over the ear- if you make the cord tight enough to avoid the pounding on the back of your head, then there isn't enough slack to turn your head without these things falling out. Maybe I lose all credibility with this but give me my iphone headphones over these any day of the week. These are going back immediately. $180? No thanks.

I liked the sound of these. Not perfect, but pretty good. The music played well and did not skip or have other problems. They definitely sounded better than the average inexpensive pair. I also liked the options for fitting them on you. A lot of headphones are more of a one size fits all mentality, and this definitely gave you so many options. You can have the over or under the ear. It comes with multiple fins and tips. I found that it was comfortable to wear and stayed on just fine. It is so frustrating to have to stop in the middle of a run to adjust your headphones. They are small and inconspicuous - they look good.

I don't know if they are worth $100 let alone $179. I mean sure they sound good once you get the assembled and put on your ears correctly. I found the fitting piece was good but not great. Overall I was disappointed because I thought these would be great for my teenager as he shoots hoops outside all time but her prefers the Beats Wireless buds. The charge isn't his favorite thing because after every session of shooting he wants to do homework with his buds on and they have to be recharged

This is my second pair of Jaybirds. I lost the first pair. I use them for running and listening to music at work. No complaints.
I do like the different options for tips, prefering the silicone for running and the others for work.
I have tried many different options running and these are the best for me. The sound quality is good, and they stay in my ears. Nothing worse than having to constantly adjust earbuds, and with the Jaybirds it is not an issue.

I'm not an audiophile and so can't give all these great comparisons with other headphones etc. All I can say is, they're light. they fit and they work. I had a cheapo pair that was none of the above so this is a huge improvement. I've always had trouble with keeping earbuds in. Maybe I have weird ears, I don't know. But these stay in and don't bother me so that's awesome. They seem pricey for what you get, so hopefully they will last.

I have been using jaybird products for years. The sound quality is great. Until the newer ear tips released i always had issues keeping the buds in my ears, but the new tips work great!!! I cycle thru a pair about every 4-6 months. (Something about the acidity of my sweat) it is a little annoying, but jaybird has replaced the phones NQA every time.
Great phones, but better customer service and that is the main reason i recomend these things to every one.

I have owned JayBirds for the past several years because I lead an active life, love my music and can't get by without it. These buds provide me the freedom to train, run, flip and bike without being hung up by wires and the sound is incredible. My wife warned me about getting the white ones because they'd get dirty, whatever they've put on them doesn't pick up any dirt, any color, anything so for once I got to say I told you so, it was a bad idea to say it out loud. The X2s are another iteration of an incredible set of headphones, love em!

I am not a big Earphone try of guy. More on the side of the big headphones for there comparability but i was seeing these every where ,specially on YouTube i am a big tech person and almost every Tech YouTuber i am subscribed to had a par of these or said that they were great. I had to try them out. i havent used my big headphones since.

Product is great! Had to get used to the ear piece...doesn't really fit into my ear. I've tried all the pieces that came with it and still hurts if I have it on for about an hour. Volume is great. Music is crisp and clear. Haven't had a problem with it yet. Only con is the battery doesn't last as long as I would like. I'd give it 4 hrs maybe 5 then I'd have to recharge it. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge headphones. I would recommend.

Of course the Jaybird's Bluetooth earbuds are great for preventing getting tangled up while working out or just dancing in the aisles at the grocery store. But, I have found another invaluable purpose for the X2s: phone microphone. For some reason, people find it very difficult to hear me on my cellphone and it was impossible to correct until I happened to have my X2s on one day. Voila! Instant clarity! Now I wear the earbuds every day. I find them invaluable,

Best pair of headphone I have ever bought. I have heard parts of songs that I have never heard before, clarity is rock solid. Great for the phone also; just be sure to drop the rubber ear buds in Hydrogen Peroxide as that will remove some of the slickness will be removed and the buds will stay on the posts. I worked at Best Buy and recommended this headset over more expensive ones and I had return customers raving about them and thanking me for the suggestion.

Very nice headphones that sound great providing you get the right fit. The bass is great for their size, but after some sweating and bouncing around, I can tell when one slips out just a little. They are very convienent and comfortable. The down side would have to be the batter length. I have noticed that with loud rock music, the batter warns me at about 3 hours from a full charge - not the 8 hours reported - I hope it doesn't get any worse, but if it did I would still love them.

I got the Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless with the intent of running with them. Just looking at them as headphones (minus the running), they are a great item; however, when used for running, the headphones are not useful. I tried every variation while wearing them for my runs--over-ear, under-ear, small, medium, and large earbuds, and the same thing happened over and over again--they fell out. I had to constantly push them back into place, which is not something a runner wants to do. The earbud pads also lost effectiveness quickly after being worn--seeming to lose their elasticity.

Most Fantastic Wireless Headset I've Ever Owned !! I am a long time Jaybird user and have owned several of their headsets. Each set get better and better. When I run, I use a SPIbelt around my waist vs an armband so, my phone is farther away from the headset. The new Bluetooth technology in these headphones keep the music flowing without skipping a beat ! I Love Them. They are great for the gym or outdoors - either place, they work perfectly.

This is a great set of bluetooth headphones, as an avid runner and outdoorsmen I was searching for a pair of wireless headphones that would fit well and provide great sound. My search ended when I purchased the Jaybird headphones ran 2 marathons with them and the headphones did not fall out and the battery life was great. I've since told co-workers who've also went out and purchased these headphones. Believe these headphones are worth every penny.

Nice sounding when you're able to achieve a good fit. The ear tip openings on these are huge and people with small to medium size ear canals may find them uncomfortable. They'd get 5 stars if they were smaller and more able to fit deeper into my ear canal for better sound. As is, I'm constantly having to push them back in because they sit more outside my ear.

By far, the best wireless ear buds we've tried, and we've tried several. The sound is amazing without having to jam them half way down your ear canal to hear them. It comes with 3 sets of foam covers, and 3 sets of silicone covers (large, med, small). I can never find ear buds small enough for my ears, but these fit like a dream. They charge pretty quickly, and keep a charge for several days. Excellent product.

I LOVE these headphones! I use them primarily on long runs and while cycling on the trainer. (Can you say noise cancelling?) And they do not disappoint. The sound quality is great compared to other Bluetooth headphones on the market. The battery lasts over eight hours and even better the fit of the X2 wireless headphones is perfect. (The headphones come with different size inserts so you can find what works for you.) These headphones won't slip out! YAY! I highly recommend them; you won't be disappointed.

Pro's (compared to x1)

-sound is slightly better than x1 (marginal at best).
-x2 comes with complyfoam tips (nice bonus).
-rubberized texture.

-case isn't as nice as the x1.

I have owned Jaybird headphones for a couple of years. I am not an athlete, I am an almost 70 year old man who walks 4 to 6 miles a day with my dogs. I enjoy listening to Audible Books and music while walking. I tried several brands of headphones before discovering Jaybird. I have been very happy with the sound and fit. I would not have purchased the X2 model as I was happy with my older pair, until one of my dogs decided to see how they tasted.

Well, it is an excellent earphone. As a Bluetooth in ear headphone, it has outstanding performance. I even feel that it is better than my IE60, maybe because I am using my iPhone instead of a flac ape wav player. It is worth the price. But when you use the mic, the sound is not as good as using other wired headphones. It is really a good headphone. Worth to buy.
