I do not have the older version of these, but I'm pretty sure I would have enjoyed them thoroughly. These are great for running, I regularly swap them with another set of headphones I have while running, and they're both amazing. I prefer these more as they have the perfect fit for my ears. They might not have the BEST quality of sound, but if they can get my hyped enough to keep going, I'm all down for it. Unboxing and using them is extremely simple, and overall, just a well built pair of running headphones. Thank you Jaybird! (also heard they have excellent customer service, so if you're into that, it's a major plus!

My husband loves the Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones. He's a taxi cab driver and it's illegal to drive while talking on the phone unless you have a hands free device. He also listens to books through his cell phone while he's at work. These headphones offer easy to operate controls to adjust volume up and down as well answer to answer and disconnect phone calls. The sound quality is very good - even on the recipient end of the conversation. We tested the range of the device, and he can get about 30 feet away from his phone before his words start to break up in the conversation. This device is a wonderful investment.

This is a great product from jaybird and I highly recommend it because of couple reasons. If you are a fan of decent frequency of bass, this is your go-to wireless headphone. It provides a really warm sound and good bass,unlike other wireless headphones that have no bass at all. Secondly, it is wireless. What can you ask more with a good sound and bluetooth headphone? Working out with these is the best experience that you could get. Since this is a upgraded version, jaybird provides you with foam tips for comfortability. Ultimately, you wont buying these because how many benefits it has for you as a consumer.

There's something about the seamlessness of the X2 that I can't get enough of. Clear sound, great bass response, in-ear design, soft material to keep the buds hooked to your ears, and all the components that will give you the best experience while working out or doing strenuous work. I have found that the BlueBuds X2 is probably the best wireless headphones on the market! Hands down. No wires. You don't look like mickey mouse while doing your exercises and while many want to display a pretentiousness about their headphones, Jaybird remains quiet yet displays quality and provides a phenomenal experience. Pair it with your device and go!!!!

This is my first attempt at a cordless headphone for my running. I run about 3 miles every day (not a lot), but enough to warrant trying this product. I'm just back from my first run, and they were great.
First, finding the foam to fit my ears was quite easy. Although, I haven't tried to fit any of the guards yet. I charged up the headphones and soon was out on my run. The headphones are light, and the dangly cord is heavy enough that the earpieces stay put. I first noticed the cord bouncing a bit more than normal, but soon it didn't bother me. My earbuds stayed in my entire run (mind you, I run slowly... but today was windy), and the sound quality was excellent. I don't really expect good sound quality during my run, but these were great.
I highly recommend them!

The upgrades to this headset are fantastic. I wear mine under the ear. They are far more comfortable with the memory foam ear piece and they seem to fit and sound a bit better. The case is also an upgrade and easier to get the charger and headset into. I have had no problems with them staying secured while exercising and working. I also use them for long conference calls and the mic has worked very well. The memory foam earpiece also cancels out other sound very well. I can listen to my audio books and music with no struggle to hear over the lawnmower or leaf blower while doing yardwork. I would recommend these to anyone who is active in work or play.

Don't waste your money. I'm not sure why anyone thinks these have good sound. You cannot get a decent seal with these buds due to the large speaker barrel the tips attach too. I've owned Jbl and Klipsh wired earbuds and the seal is perfect on those allowing you to get nice deep bass.
The X2s sound okay but just don't have decent bass and as a result it just feels like the music is missing something. Another issue is the cord is sticky and clings to your skin so when you move your head can feel the cord pulling on the earbuds. I'm sending these back and will look for something else or just stick to my wired buds. And I did try all ear tips and over the ear which puts the controller behind your ear making it difficult reach.

I bought these as soon as they were available to replace an old pair of the original Jaybirds. I love both pairs, but these do fit better in my ears and last longer. I even actually like the small case that I thought would be an annoyance. Instead it's an easy way to keep everything together and not loose anything.
The real advantages to these are that I find them a little louder, much longer lasting, and more stable in the connection than the original Jaybrids. Other than that, its the same great product they've been putting out for years!

Purchased Powerbeats 2; sounded great but did not isolate ambient sound (didn't penetrate ear canal deep enough). Returned.
Purchased Bluebuds X; sounded great but was coming off during workout. I could live with it though. Lost it (probably dropped somewhere).
Purchased Jabra Rox (got magnet, idea was not to loose one more overpriced tech); sounded great but that volume was just too low. You know, just before that sweet spot the volume was already at max. Didn't enjoy thus returned.
Was gonna purchase Bluebuds again, but hey a new one is out (bestbuy had it in stock but not Amazon, that's why you don't see the orange "verified purchase" pride badge.); I'm all happy now. With the included foam tips the fit is great, volume is loud enough for my taste, and, that's it.

Loved them - but then the sweat got in them and they stopped charging after about a month. I was so hopeful as they sounded great but if you want to use them for sport I hope it's leisure walking or something less (is movie watching a sport?). I was very disappointed figuring the $179 price tag would enable them to withstand more than a month of workouts but no dice..
To be clear I do sweat when I workout; but I'm not a excessive (hyperhidrosis) sweater. I'm very careful to shake them off when I'm done and let them dry out before I charge them. I'm a electrical engineer I have a solid understanding of electronics and engineering; so I fully get the water and electronics bit. I also know that it's possible (Sennheiser Sport Earbuds are very good but corded) but these did not live up to the hype.

Full disclosure I bought these at WalMart.
My 2 star is based upon two factors. One they would not stay in my ear. I watched the vids. I messed with them for an hour and I could never get a secure for even with the fins. Two the sound was just so so. I held them tight against my ear since they would not stay in place and found the sound quality to be average. Given they price and marketing of this product I expected more.
The one 5 star aspect of the jaybird is the packaging. But packaging isn't worth anything if they won't stay in your ear.

Awesome for its portability. There seem to be very few trade-offs vs a wired set of headphones. Fear of snagging your earbuds are a thing of the past. The only thing you have to worry about now is making sure you don't forget them. For me, they're so lightweight and so portable, it can be easy to forget that they're even on you. Great Sound. The audio is crisp, clear. I noticed no degradation when walking in crowded areas. However, if you really like bass; if you are a fiend for the low end, you may find yourself disappointed. T The price conscious buyer might suffer from sticker shock. These buds are a serious up front investment. Overall, it is great product. Would recommend.

Hands down the best piece of gear to improve your workouts and running experience. I didn't realize how annoying my old headphones wires were until going wireless. No more wire creep when running to mess with and throw of my stride. I've had my wire catch on equipment and get yanked out of my ears while lifting, no more putting down the weights and restarting my sets. These fit great , stay put and sound amazing. If you are looking for a great way to enjoy your music and be super active this is the only way to go.

These earbuds are ok sound quality. I think the price is about double what it should be. You're paying for marketing, silly buzz words, exceptional packaging and above avg comfort/customization. The bass is solid but the mids and highs get a little muddled with the highs being tinny. I wish the volume went up higher.
The swear warranty is kinda silly too. I've never had a pair fail because of sweat. I've had them fail because of cords getting disconnected and fraying over time. I wish the warranty covered that. I also wish the cord was a little more substantial.

Disappointed as I was never able to get the earbuds to fit on my ears and stick to them like glue during workouts as promised. I was constantly fiddling with them, even after trying the different size ear adapters. I put them aside for a few months after this frustration and then when I tried them again, I had difficulty getting them to be recognized by my bluetooth enabled device, in this case a Samsung 6 and a Sony remote music player. I know these are popular but I have not found a way for them to work for me. Disappointed as the need still exist to have a hands free way to listen to music without wires to gum up a workout.

Is $180 too much? IDK. My wired Bose fell apart after sleeping with them "in" from time to time. And my $100 JBLs would not hold a charge after a month (my fault for trying fast charge). JBL sound was not as good either and was heavy on the ear.

Amazing sound and they fit great. I decided to treat myself to a nice pair of headphones for the gym and after trying the others guys (you know who) I decided to go in a different direction. I could only describe the sound as crisp and accurate and the fit is fully customizable. I did have to go to their recommended website to learn how to use the fins correctly but that took all of two minutes.
These are a real treat to listen to and workout with. I would have to say they are my best purchase of the year.

I've been through a few different bluetooth headphones over the last few years. Some sounded good. Few had good range. But all of them quit working before long. I use them mostly while being active(I sweat a lot ). So far the Jaybird X2 have been the best of the lot. Great sound, Great range, Great battery life and great options with the various ear fins and tips. Most importantly, they are still working and working well. Although a little pricey, it's worth it considering the others I have had have been disposable. Thrown in the trash. It looks like these will last a long time. I will update this review if that doesn't happen.

I love these headphones. This is my second set of Bluetooth headphones and I will never go back to wired. I got the camo x2's on base for a little cheaper than here. They come in a great case that is sleek and holds a charging cable too. They run for 8hrs as advertised. They sound great. I'm no audiophile but I couldn't ask for better sound. They come with three tips and three wings to hold them in place. If that doesn't work in your cauliflower ears they have an alternate over ear way to wear them. Lastly I sweat, a lot. Like probably chronically, and they can take it. I recommend these to anyone who runs and hits the weights.

I had the bluebudx for four years until the battery started to go out on me. Though they still last for an hour in usually in the gym for about two. These are the best wireless headphones I have ever had and will continue to purchase jay bird for my Bluetooth headphones. Once you cut the cord you will never want to go back. For the price they are worth it and they will last you a really long time the quality on these are even better than the last set I had. They just made a couple tweaks to the body, ear cushions and are defiantly more comfortable than my last set. AWESOME JOB Jaybird for the amazing yet affordable headphones!

Just tested out these out for the first time and really stoked on the all the upgrades! I have been using the blue buds for the past year and for me the X2's blow them out of the water. After having a bunch of ear problems for most of my life I have never really found a earbud I have totally been happy with that fits comfortable. I can now say with X2's new foam ear tips and fins I have finally found the ear bud for me! Battery life is killer and of course the cord free system can't be beat. Also just recently used these on a 13 hr international flight and was really surprised by the good noise cancellation and quality sound during the loud flight. Glad to see Jaybird constantly improving the product!

Compared to the previous JayBird Bluebud X, which were already really good wireless earphones, the X2s improves in every aspect. The material of the ear wings and ear tips are now replaced with comfortable yet sturdy plastic and premium expanding foam respectively. These create the ultimate fit. Ultimate. The earphones stay in the ears and hardly come off unless you are doing extreme sports. Hight quality sound has also returned and the audio quality is now louder, cleaner and maintains its satisfying bass. Overall, one badass piece of audio/sporting equipment and so very recommended for everyone.

I am an audiophile, and an active person. I have been on the search for a pair of wireless in ears that didnt suck. I finally bought the beats, just to see...honestly, absolute crap. And thats not me being cynical-they honestly just did not sound good. ESPECIALLY when you're talking a $200 price tag! So I just got these jaybirds...they are incredible. I HAD to write a review! These things sound phenomenal. I mean, I cant even say they sound good for "bluetooth" headphones...they are really just fantastic. Incredible call clarity, and bass response, fit...all top knotch. It gives you 3 different sizes to find a fit, once you find it, you can do anything and these things dont budge. Anyways, buy with confidence!

These headphones are phenomenal. The sound quality is just amazing, the you can truly hear the music how it was meant to heard. I've been using these headphones for quite some time now and they are very durable. I haven't had a single issue with them breaking in any way. I use my jaybirds every day at home, the office and at the gym. They work great, especially while you are active. I love the fact there is no wire connected to my phone, so these never get in way of working out. The Bluetooth connection is great and the music doesn't cut out like some of the other bluetooth heaphones i've used. These are worth every penny.
