First things first, how do you charge this thing? I had to download the manual to figure it out:
Locate fingernail recess and

for full charge gives 8 hours
of playtime. 30 mins charging
gives 90 minutes of play time
Ok, with that out of the way, how are these headphones? Fantastic. Yes, the bass response isn't going to be what it would with a subwoofer up in your face. Don't expect miracles on that end of the spectrum. But the sound is clean and clear, and the fit is perfect thanks to a nice selection of ear plugs. The controls are logical and well placed. And you can use this for phone calls and music. It will hook up with any bluetooth sound source. Yes, they are a little pricey, but these are very nice and feel well constructed. I expect them to last a good long time.

I've tried LOTs of BT headphones over the years as a "power user" for biking and running. The original Bluebuds were the best ones I've used by far, and these are even better. The new foam earbuds stay in my ears while running and cycling in sweaty conditions without the need for the little wing pieces. They're super comfortable and stay in place. The sounds is amazing and crystal clear, and while the original bluebuds would cut out a bit sometimes while running with my phone in my hip pocket, these have yet to cut out once with the same placement. The talk, listen, play, fast forward, volume, etc, all those features work great, and the sweat resistance on these ones seems the best ever as well. Finally, I've only heard amazing things about Jaybird's customer service so all in all definitely worth a try!

I've had multiple Jaybird headphones, and have found them to be convenient, but less than reliable. Consistently, and across 2 models, I've found that a very annoying rattle develops in the right earbud. Jaybird customer service acknowledged a couple of years ago that were having manufacturing problems, and sent me replacements, which then also had the same issue. I eventually upgraded to another model, after 2 or 3 exchanges of the previous one. However, the rattle surfaced yet again, albeit after a longer period. Also, these headphones produce essentially no bass, which is not surprising given their configuration, but still something to be aware of. Generally though, it's an OK product. Debatable whether it's worth the money...

Ok these do everything they claim they do, that's not why I'm giving them a 5. The customer support is top notch and you get a lifetime warranty for these headphoned. Who gives a warranty on a product that is designed to be used while taking abuse!?! No one. I don't fidget with them, I don't adjust them (sometimes I do when doing something like burpees), they work as advertised and when I use them while traveling or just walking around my hands are free to do other things. The only thing I would change is ordering the extra ear pieces. When you order you get the various sizes, you should be able to pick the size because at this point you know which size fits best. Currently you get all 3 sizes so the other two go to waste.

I really wanted to like these headphones. First of all even the smallest foam ear tip didn't fit well in my ears and the smallest ear pins were a little too large. I found the silicone small ear tips most comfortable. I could have lived with that. But when I played music from my IPhone. The sound was so tinny! It was awful. I have used blue tooth wireless before in speakers and ear pieces nothing sounded as bad. I also tried talking on the phone. The person I was talking to sounded far away. When I asked them how I sounded they described me as being in a tunnel. I'm so disappointed. I will be returning these and searching for the perfect headphones. I have always been happy with Bose, maybe I'll try those next. Meanwhile back to my earbuds.

Did a lot of research before buying these headphones. Was very excited to get them and put them through their paces. My daily headphones are Bose Sport and I use them all day at work. They are all day comfortable. When I got the Jaybird X2s I tried all different combos of ear tips and fins trying to find something comfortable. Nothing worked. They are well built, but their sound quality is nothing compared to the Bose buds. Do not believe the hype. They are slightly better than out of the box Apple buds. I tried them on a long distance bike ride and numerous gym sessions. I was very underwhelmed by them. Alpha color was pretty slick, case was nice and they held a charge well. I returned them within the 30 day period for a full refund.

Battery life is fantastic. Only takes a couple of hours to charge up, and then you're good to go for several days of steady use. As for the sound, well, I listen to old-school metal, and these deliver the goods. No complaints. Bass is robust. I even tested them with a movie, and it was like being in a theater.
They stay snugly, comfortably seated in the ear even during vigorous exercise. If I ever do feel them getting lose while running, I adjust to an over-the-ear fitting. You get your choice of eartips. They lock-in (seal) near the top of the canal, so you don't feel like you've just inserted a foreign object in your ear. I can't imagine anyone not being happy with these.

Headphones arrived with lots of missing parts, 5 missing tips (all comply tips), 2 extra sillicon tips, everything was scrambled on the tips box, sillicons tips on the comply side and lots and lots of missing tips, no cable ties (used for wraping the cable above the neck). Headphones were scratched and dirty. No first steps/visit the website for instructions card.
And the major problem, headphones were not all white (aside from the black cable), they were white and black (the headphones itself not the cable), after buying another Jaybird's X2 straight from Jaybird they ARE all white, so....refurbished Jaybirds for the missing accesories and someone threw in a couple of fake Jaybirds? I believe so

The sound quality is good, clear but not much bass. I found the JBL Reflect to have a better fit in the ear and more comfortable to wear for longer period. Battery life is better in the X2 though. One thing I hate about the X2 is the lack of any option to keep it stay on your neck without slipping off. It's okay as long as it's on both ears. But when you want to use only one side or simply let it hang from your neck it tends slip and there's great chance that you will not even notice it falling off. Other similar brands have magnets or clips (JBL and Jabra). Why can't they think of something intelligent about this? It would have been a better product if I didn't have to try too hard to keep it in place while not wearing on the ears.

For the past 6-7 years I have always relied on the sennheiser cx300. For $35 you find a better pair of better sounding earbuds. They have always died on me because of wire issues or sweat. The jaybird X2 is my first bluetooth earbud and for the $$ I spent I had high expectations. It probably surpassed what I had expected. Its a really nice sounding headphone and the whole sweat proof/wireless thing is great. The extra accessories seem like a lot at first but they are actually pretty useful, especially the ear fins. All in all I'm pretty psyched about this product and I can't wait to get to the gym with them.

I bought the Bluebuds X (not the X2). They worked well for a few months of use, which was a hard 2-hour hike every 2 or 3 days. Then they just died, would not turn on or charge. Jaybird offered suggestions to diagnose the problem, but they were completely dead.
Jaybird supplied a replacement unit, which died during its second hike. Jaybird didn't respond to my request for a refund or another replacement.
Unless I was unlucky enough to get two internal failures, I can only conclude that the Bluebuds X are not sweatproof, despite this being the product's main claim to fame.
I don't know about the X2, but they don't say anything about improved waterproofing. It's the same form factor.

This is a great sound in some tiny earbuds. The biggest pro was all the different sizes of buds, so no one is left behind. I have small ears and that is usually always a deal breaker for me - finding anything small enough to be comfortable, etc.
These buds are so classy they had to make a video of how to unpackage it. Seriously! To be honest - yeh the unpackaging was a bit of a challenge - thank goodness I found that video in order to know how to open the package properly.
Pros:
-The sound from these buds is great
-Bass is solid - exceptional actually if you have them in your ears properly
-Fit is flexible
-Battery life is good
-Color options are very modern and nice
Cons:
-The case is simply too big - make it smaller and you have a winner

I have always been hard set on using Skullcandy Titans (now discontinued) because they gave the best sound quality, best bass, and best sound dampening. You couldn't hear anything when you had something playing, even at a relatively low volume.
When the pair of Titans I had for about 2 years finally got a short, I thought "why not test out some wireless buds?". Naturally, being the newest thing, I went with these Jaybird X2's. And I must say I am not disappointed. The quality of the sound is on par with the Skullcandy Titans, the bass is good, and they have good sound dampening. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Perhaps my expectation was too high for this earbuds. I read all of the reviews and was so eager to get one. I bought one and used it. I use the Bose Soundsport as my wired option. Those sound fantastic and perhaps am spoiled by them.
The sound quality is decent but not on par with the Bose.
The battery life is fantastic. I use this mainly for the gym so I can go without charging for three days.
The max volume on this is relatively low. I like to blast my music when I'm working out. This was pretty disappointing for the most part. I will hold onto these and keep using it since it is convenient but had to say was disappointed by them. It is my fault for expecting too much and do not fault these earphones

I have tried a ton of different Bluetooth earbuds and these are by far the best! The sounds is very crisp and clear, they block out almost all outside noise (once you get the fit right), and they last all day. I use them everyday for talking on the phone, riding my bike, skydiving, running, etc. and haven't had any complaints yet.
The new fin design is more comfortable and secure.
Finally they did a collaboration with Comply Foam and provide some foam eartips with the headset.
Their customer service is the best in the industry as well, so easy to work with.

an excellent bluetooth earbuds espcially at the discounted price. it sounds better than my son's powerbeats2. It takes a bit of time to find the right fit but it is quite comfortable while working out. Some reviewers compared the sound quality of the X2 to wired hearphones, but these people should have an understanding of the bluetooth technology before making useless comments. You get a X2 or anyother bluetooth headphone for the convenience - when I need an audiophile heaphone, I grap my Hifiman set. As a bluetooth headphone, X2 is one of the best without any question!

I had the original Jay Birds (Freedom), but unfortunately the battery went out on it. The customer service is Excellent! They send me a brand new pair and the latest version which is the Freedom Sprint. They work great. For some reason this pair needs to be recharged after about 3 hours. It doesn't seem to hold a charge for 8 hours as stated. As long as I keep it charged it's fine. I have a friend who has a pair and it last much longer. It could be a bad battery. Great sound and very comfortable. Sometimes the cable will stick to your neck when you sweat and it tugs a bit. You may have to adjust sometimes if you turn your head to the left or right. All in all. They are the best I have had so far.

These headphones are absolutely amazing! The sound quality is absolutely phenomenal! I have had them for over 1 year now, and they work great. The grip on them is great, so when running they don't fall out like my old, regular ear buds. The range on these are also pretty good. I usually leave my phone somewhere and walk around the house and am still able to get a pretty good signal. The only thing I would say I have had an issue with is connectivity. I've had times in which they randomly disconnect from my phone, while being in close range. I thought it could've been my phone, but I tested it with my Bluetooth speaker and had no problem. Other than that, I would definitely recommend these headphones!

I have been using these regularly for 2 years with no issue. Sound is great, fit is secure/comfortable and Bluetooth connection is reliable. Currently running with these connected to my iPhone 6+ that is in a case plus strapped to my waste in another case --- Bluetooth stays connected. Indoor workouts I normally set this on the floor several feet away and never have any connection issues. I am a big sweater and these can handle.. I have destroyed other headphones with my sweat but not these. The sound does not get as loud as my Boise sports earbuds but Bose is not wireless... I prefer the freedom of wireless during my workouts but at times will use my Boise if I feel the need to rock it hard.

I am an ear bud snob. Wasted tons of money and time on finding the best of the best. I found that with the original Jaybird Bluebuds. I was in heaven. I sweat a ton.....beleive me there is nobody that sweats like me ever. The Jaybird X2 not only provide the best wireless Bluetooth sound but withstand my massive nasty sweatiness. I do recomend using the Comply Foam comfort tips. They isolate the sound and NEVER fall out. The range is great the sound is clear and comfort is top notch. If you want a pair of bluetooth earbuds that don't disappoint, these are the ones!!

They do not last and customer service is weak for a $200 headset. I bought 3 of them and had to replace one of them 3 times. Customer service ignored my last request.
This is one of the responses I got from them.
"Also if you are using them to workout, let them lay out to dry for a few hours before putting them on the charger. If there is sweat in the headphones when they go to charge, it can create a short in some cases. I usually lay them out of the case on the table when I get home."
They are billed as a workout headset, yet get sweat in them and they short out. Bad design. I went to the dark side and bought Beats. I have haven't had a single problem.

These work great on my phone (Nexus 6P) so far. I'm having trouble using them with a PC (ThinkPad W541), though. They do not switch out between stereo audio and phone calls (Go To Meeting, Google Hangouts, Google Voice, etc) seamlessly. As a matter of fact, the audio quits working completely on my PC whenever the swap is supposed to take place. I'm kind of disappointed in that. I was looking forward to using these throughout the day at work.
They also do not switch back and forth between my PC and phone seamlessly. I have to manually connect each device through the device's settings to do so.

These are amazing earphones. The bluetooth technology is pretty good and the sound is crisp. Let me add though that not only is the product good, but the company is amazing. I lost my pair unfortunately one night and called to order a new pair. Explained my situation to them and they appreciated my loyalty to them that they waived the shipping fee, which isn't much, but i didn't call to get a discount at all, i just wanted another pair. the fact that they went above and beyond really made me appreciate them more. and maybe you're thinking, oh the price is a bit steep, i can't justify it, let me tell you, there are no other ear phones that will compare to these. it is worth every cent.

I use the headphones everyday,because I live in China and wireless is a must. Sound quality is great, but I have to say, there is a major issue with the quality. One side of the headphones goes out. The average lifetime of this issue is one year. Now this is my second pair. The first pair I purchased lasted one year. I paid no mind to the issue and simply upgraded to Bud X, but now after another year, the headphone has gone out again from the same side. i hope Jaybird can resolve this issue. i don't want to keep.buying headphones every year. The other issue.is the case.The design is not great. It shouldn't take.me almost one minute to put my.headphones inside the case without cramping them.in.
