I've been using the new X2's since about mid-Aug and I couldn't be happier with them. Leading a constant active outdoor life style I NEEDED a great wireless ear buds set up. I've gone through several other brands and straight forward, NONE of them performed close to the Jaybird X2's. Obviously there are other wireless options out there in a smaller price range, but not after I add up the $65 to $99 I spent on the previous 3 or 4 pair. The sound quality on these is amazing, the fit is SECURE and the distance I can actually be from my phone while training is a 10. I use my buds while climbing, skating, running and training in the gym and the different ways I can wear the X2's depending on what I'm doing is the clincher. Wireless buds are no longer a thing of the future, but basically a standard now so get a good pair! These are them! Super down with the matte color options they offer as well!

I had the original Jaybird freedom and Jaybird definitely came a long way. The sound used to drop off if my iPhone was on the wrong side or more than 6 feet away. Don't have those issues anymore and and the music quality is pretty good for BT. I wouldn't be too critical on the sound quality as this is something that you would use during workout and flight, not for recording and listening for sound accuracy. These are meant to sound good while giving you the freedom to run around cord free.
Normally I use the medium silicon tips but for this I bought Comply's T-500 memory foam tips in red, blue, black pack (red for right & blue for left), takes some time to get used them at first but you get a much more custom/isolated sound and can wear for a long time and not feel them. Silicon tips tends to make my ears fatigue over time because its not form fitting. I wear the X2 over ear and do make the cable control more snug so they'd feel more secure.

The Jaybird X2 Bluetooth headphones were designed for being used while working out or while being active. They offer six different bud covers (small, medium and large in both an active foam and a silicon) plus three different wings that help keep the buds securely in place while you are moving. The wings feel a little weird at first but you stop noticing them after awhile. Also if you are just using the headphones while staying still, you don't have to put on the wings. The most important of any set of headphones is how do they sound. The Jaybirds are merely satisfactory. The connection is not an issue, I didn't experience any dropping of the signal. The sound is not as dynamic or as deep and rich as others. As far as comfort and fit, they more than fit the bill, just don't expect to be blown away by the sound. Also, they do have a long battery life and charging them is simple. One of the buds pops open to where you connect a USB charger.

I wanted to like these. I tried my hardest to like these, but wow do they hurt my ears. I have tried every configuration possible and the most I can wear these are about 10 minutes before they really start hurting. So finding a fit might be hard for some people.
Talking on them was mediocre for the price. I was told I sounded fair away. However I really had no problem hearing people on my end.
I did push myself through a whole workout wearing these before I returned them, and in the aspect they did shine. Great noise isolation, good sound, and never got in my way. Again I had to adjust them, but mainly because of the pain.
I have tried the Powerbeats2 also, but I liked them even less.
Bottle line; if you can find a fit for you with these headphones I don't think you will be disappointed.

My first set of blue tooth headphones. Overall I like them. The overall design is excellent. You get several sets of ear pieces so it's hard to imagine someone not being able to find a good fit. The sound quality is excellent. As good as anything I've owned. Not too much bass, and smooth high end that is not at all harsh. Great for audiobooks, vocals and jazz. I was a bit worried about battery power, at only 6 hours per charge. I tend to listen at lower volumes and I got around 7 hours before having to recharge.
Just a couple of nit picks. The cord rumble is a bit more pronounced than expected. And at $175, this is definitely a bit more than I thought. Overall, a first rate set of headphones.

I rarely write reviews but am so impressed with both the X and my new X2 that I want to recommend them - especially the new X2 which is lighter, fits even better (due to the comply tips that come with it) and has a longer battery life. Paired with an iphone 6S, it is the best listening and calling experience I have ever had. The best new feature is that Jaybird now has it's own Comply tips - for isolation, sport and 'comfort'. The 'isolation' is amazing in the gym as I don't hear anything except my music. The 'sport' has a surface which makes it stay in the ear very securely and both music and calls sound great. I have never used the additional clips as they are not necessary. Also, customer service is top notch! I now use both and keep one charged all the time.

I've used the JayBird BlueBuds X for many months and have been happy with them. The X2 version is virtually identical. The main difference is the X2 comes with Comply memory foam ear tips which is essential for many people.
I think this version - Comply T-500 Isolation Earphone Tips (Blue, 3 Pairs, Large) of the Comply is superior to what is packaged with the X2. They are denser, bigger, and stay in the ear better.
As to my impressions of the X2:
-Sound quality is good.
-Very lightweight thus comfortable to wear while exercising.
-Sweat doesn't damage it
-Charges via standard microUSB which is easy.
Overall, I highly recommend both the original X and the X2 as they are basically identical except for the included eartips. For most people, save some money and get the original X. Add the Comply T500 eartips if you have trouble keeping them in your ear.

As I was opening this set of Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, I was thinking that if all the energy and time put into this packaging was put into the product I was sure to have a good product.
The biggest sacrifice one makes when going wireless is sound quality. This is the only negative I could find. Compared to my wired Bose IE's it's not really close. That being said the quality put into the wireless headphones impressed me. The fit was ideal. I had no problem with them falling out at all. They paired easily with my android and worked perfectly. Okay, there is one more negative, and that is the case. Aesthetically pleasing but so so user unfriendly. I never use a case anyway but this one certainly won't get me to start. I'm thinking if the packaging overall was simpler these earphones would be much more affordable. Still overall a good pair of wireless headphones

I have tried a number of wired and wireless headphones from Jabra to Shure. I loved my Shures but the cord was just too much for all the activities I enjoyed. People are always stopping my when I'm at the gym or commuting on the train. I use the sport clips to have it secured close to my head and I can run, jump and move around with no interruption in my music. (Have you ever dropped your phone and have the cord disconnect?) They stay securely in my ears with the new comply foam tips. (I would order them before they came with the headphone on my last pair of BlueBud X's) I have purchased and used the Freedom, the BlueBud X and now I just received my X2's and couldn't be happier. Whenever I have a question or concern Jaybird has been more than helpful and responsive. Love the company, love the X2's.

Whether at the gym, on a hike, or out for a run I find my experience is always better with good music as my companion. I've always hated the wires on headphones but I was skeptical of the wireless options until I tried a pair of the original jaybird buds about 2 years ago. I've recently upgraded to the Jaybird X2 headphones and I'm extremely pleased with the new features. First off they come with the foam tips now (I used to get them separately) which mold to fit your inner ear. If you prefer the other tips those are included as well. They also redesigned the ear fins which fit within the top and bottom of the ear. The sound quality and bass have always been better than anything else I've tried and now they fit so well I don't ever have to worry about adjusting them while I'm running.

I love my Jaybird X2 headphones. Been a fan of Jaybird for many years now. Purchased the JB 200 headphones back in 2009. I'll have to admit, they were a little bulky behind the ear, but I did like the wireless headphones while working out. I am a competitive bodybuilder and as much time as I spend in the gym this company has had some of my favorite options for music listening during my workouts. I have a set of the headbands they offered and use them still from time to time.
Now, the X2 is so far so great. I have had them for a couple of weeks, but they have been awesome. Love the voice feature that tells you when they are powered on, off, and synced with your mobile device. Fit great and sound really good. Are out of the way while lifting and during cardio on the treadmill.

These Headphones were marketed a little too well over hyping me to expect more out of it seeing that the price point is 180$, i purchased these personally so i could be able to listen to music from my apple watch while running instead of having to lug my iPhone 6 plus and in a sense yes they worked great in the gym while pared to my phone they were loud enough, had decent bass and quality but when i went to my first practice in cross country and paired these with my apple watch the volume doesn't get loud at all the sound quality gets worse and when moving your arms while running it will lose connection and come back causing a skip half way through the song. i expected more out of these when i read in the description "supports Apple Watch" but i am disappointed in how badly it performs. if your asking maybe it could be the Apple Watch itself? i have used other Bluetooth ear buds and all worked perfected and were loud

Buy a different brand. I am now working on my second warranty replaced pair of Blue bud Xs and these are the same thing in new colors. Neither of my first two lasted over a month. Since I have invested in the Bluebuds I can't turn back and I have to play the warranty game. But be forewarned their lifetime warranty is really only the 2 years they think they battery should last. They actually offered me a $100 credit to buy the X2 when I turned in my second pair of defective Blue buds. I said no thanks, you already took me for $150 I'm not letting you get me for another $80
If I could go back in time I would purchase the Beats brand. I do like the Bluetooth cordless running and the fit of these is good, they just don't last and turn off on you out of the blue, guess that's where they got the name Blue Buds.

My Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones arrived in a beautiful box that had the style and high-quality appearance of Apple product packaging. I love using these headphones while I ride my bike on the bike path in my neighborhood. The headphones are amazingly comfortable and come with a variety of smooth and foam earbud covers that will allow you to decide the fit and comfort level that you want. The headphones are easily paired with your smartphone and have good sound quality. Bass reproduction in music can be a little weak, but I find this to be a common shortcoming of all Bluetooth speakers and headphones. The headphones are easily charged via an included USB charging cable. A case for holding the headphones and charging cable is also provided.

I've been using X2's since they first came out, after using Bose sport headphones for many years. I find the X2's equally as comfortable, with great sound, and with the huge advantage of no wires. Now I live in the Jaybird headphones. As a professional climber and skier, I spend 8 months or more a year traveling and climbing. The X2's go everywhere with me. Battery life is excellent so I can use continuously for a big day of climbing or travel. Fit takes a little time to dial in, with many options for of sizing and whether to wear under or over the ear. Once they are properly fitted, I have no issues with them falling out, even during heavy exercise or sweaty conditions. I love them!

They are nice if you are looking for blue tooth head phones especially since there arent that many around, however it is a pain in the butt when you first get them because you have to fiddle around with the ear pieces so that you can fit it into your ears (I've had them for about 1 year and I gave up on adjusting them long ago). If you are looking for exercising headphones that are wireless they arent bad, though they will fall out with a slight tug from your hair or if you move your head too much, but if you just want convenience I'd stick to regular headphones. The sound quality is good, but so are many others out there, like skullcandy, altho they arent wireless.

These are great sounding and comfortable head phones. It took some testing with the various ear tips and set up to find the right fit. I prefer the over the ear setup. I have had no issues connecting to my i-phone 6. My phone is on my waist belt on the same side as the headphone's control pad. I only use them about 7-8 hours a week and have always made it on one charge. i like the clips to shorten the cable so it doesn't bounce around while running. I have only had one phone call on them. The caller said I was clear with a slight amount of background noise. I haven't had them long enough to judge their durability.

I like these, although could not discern any huge difference between these and the X's which I got last year, other than the new ear tip accessories and storage box. Bluetooth connects easily with iPhone. They still are a tricky fit for small lady earholes, but once in, the isolation is bliss. (Fits way better than Bose.) The tips come off the earpiece too easily, fortunately for me to find one on the floor (deduct one star). Overall, no way would I ever go back to a corded headphone after wearing Jaybirds for the past year. Customer Service for any concerns, is super primo, I must say. I would not hesitate buying the X or X2 again.

I have had many headphones over the years. This is by far the best set I have had and its even wireless - no more cords connected to my device. Ive had Yurbuds and others but Jaybird and their system of connectivity and ease of use is by far superior. One of the best aspects I can talk about is the minimal amount of hardware. I travel extensively (wish I had more battery life though) and the minimal ear piece is amazing. I run, bike, snowboard and even play basketball with them in my ears. I wish I could swim with them even. I have converted the tips to Comply tips and don't use the wings that come with the product. That has made them even more versatile and allows me to fall asleep with them in my ears. I would suggest this product to anyone that wants to remove the tether to their device. Thanks for making a great product Jaybird.

I love my Jaybird Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, I purchased them a while ago and loved them, people had beats and some other brands but then just did not live up to the hype, while the Jaybird was the best all around. I also had a problem and they were so professional and took care if it in record time. I can't say enough, the New Jaybird X2's are the best around for the price range. You may think that it's expensive and your tight but for the quality and support, there is none better, I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for great sound quality and top notch support! Hey Everyone, I recently got a pair of the X2 in midnight color and also an original owner of the Bluebuds. If you're reading this YES get it! I've been going to the gym for a while and always looking into a way to enjoy my music and get a workout which is important to me! I had the Bluebuds which are great and I would still recommend them! These are just better the quality and sound. At first try it was hard for me to tell the difference how they sound better and all. After getting into my workout I started to really notice! My gym plays music out loud and it could interfere with your listening experience. These take care of that issue! Once you get the fit right and the right size everything falls into place it just works I'll say it again. It just works!

Have had (2) pairs the first went through the washer and dryer - still worked but the volume control button was destroyed so powering on was a little tricky - could be done with the charger but became cumbersome. We to Best Buy to replace and was talked into Beats Wireless headsets - which I did not feel the sound quality was as good - also did not like the controls for outdoor activities. Jaybirds controls give full control of my iPhone and are easily used without having to look and with gloves on. After the Beats broke twice and many complaints to Best Buy and Apple I bought another pair on Jaybirds - hatted paying twice but was so satisfied with the product i had to do it. Thanks!-- also if anyone wants a pair of beats I will sell them cheap --

Unfortunately I was really disappointed with these headphones and returned them.
1. Sound quality was awful. Almost as bad as the stock apple headphones. Definitely not something you expect for a premium price. The sound is very thin. I contacted JayBirds tech support to see whether this was normal and their suggestion was to reboot the headphones. Unfortunately it made no difference.
2. They are really uncomfortable. The fins are not soft and they feel quite sharp in the ear. I tried all the sizes and couldn't get a comfortable fit.
I have a pair of Bose Soundtrue earphones which are wired but have fantastic sound and you don't even feel like you're wearing them. I wish they were Bluetooth but will stick with them. The JayBirds aren't worth the expense, discomfort and poor sound.

These were my first wireless buds after ditching my wired ones which I have used for over 5 years now. The fit, battery life and Bluetooth performance of these X2 buds is great. The assortment of ear tip and fin options allows me to get a great custom fit that feels good in my ears and that securely stays put while running...even with sweaty ears! The battery life is great and gets me through the week when just using them for working out (although they're great to use all day!). Bluetooth pairing is simple and range is great. I have paired these with Android and iOS devices, along with Windows PC and Mac - no problems at all. They do well when my phone is in my pocket or somewhere across the room. The sounds from these buds is very well-balanced and I find that they sounds great with the varied genres of my music library.
