Printer was slightly wider and heavier than I expected after looking at the pictures and reading the marketing pitch. Software supplied (CD) was defective and gave messages of badly formatted disk. After several unsuccessful attempts at installation I downloaded (from HP website) an installation (Setup) file which worked flawlessly and completed the installation. Printing is of high quality both black and white and color. I cannot at this point pronounce myself on ink consumption since this is a backup to my Canon IP100 which is more compact, lighter and therefore easier to use when travelling (the reason why I needed and bought another mobile printer). Both printers were purchased from Amazon.Arnold Sobrian.

I bought this printer so I could continue working while on my vacation. My job takes no vacation. I was very pleased with my purchase. It was small enough to fit in my luggage, didn't add much weight, and worked well at my destination. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to take a printer along with their travels.

I had high hopes for the B8550 printer as used many HP printers in past that were excellent. This printer has been nothing but trouble and found out after the fact, is common for many users. It eats ink in a few prints - print head goes bad quickly, several new heads from HP under warranty, still problems - and cost of inks are just unbearable due to high ink usage. Will own an HP printer again - but not this one. Recommend you avoid it at all cost.

I purchased a refurbished HP Photosmart 3210 all-in-one to replace the one I had been using for the past two years. It's working out fine. Because of the high cost of ink cartridges, I would probably select another printer next time I purchase, but the simplicity of use and scanner/copier/printer combo works for me right now.

I hesitantly purchased this printer about 2 months ago [actually I paid $169.00] because I kept remembering the thought of inkjet prints smearing at the drop of a bead of sweat or water. That is no longer a concern. Apparently, HP [which I have not like in 20 years] has developed the magic ink solution that prevents the smearing. You can even use a highlighter without issue. That's huge.The printer was shipped very fast. As soon as I opened it, I downloaded the driver from the HP site [since I had read reviews speaking of the nightmare of using the included driver cd]. The drivers loaded without a hitch. The installation was quick and uneventful.I printed some test pages and then started working it. The print speed was definitley not 18 pages per minute [more like 6-7 ppm - it may depend on the print mode], but the print quality was awesome, even for legal pleadings and important letters. I'm very satisfied. I had previously purchased a Planon Printstik PS905 thermal printer. It is now officially a paperweight. I don't know if I will ever use it again since I purchased a Targus neoprene bag for $20.00, and I used it transport this printer. It fits very snugly, and I am completely mobile. There is no need to accept the extremely low quality thermal print of the Planon Printstik when you can have near laser quality prints from this unit without much bulk.I also purchased a 3-Year Square Trade warranty plan. I hope I do not ever need to use it. I dread warranties, but I guess I'll have to write a review if, and when, I ever get there.Lastly, the price of the ink cartridges. I would not ever recommend refills, but there are many, many folks selling OEM ink cartridges on the net for under $15.00 delivered [a real bargain compared to HP's $20+]. So, I purchased some spare cartridges to make sure I am not left high and dry when I need it on the road. I do not have a need for color printing, so I will not comment on that.Right now, since I am absent any difficulties, I am completely satisfied, and I would recommend this printer to anyone who has a mobile need. I needed a new printer as a replacement for another HP Photosmart All-in-One that was a workhorse for me. I bought this one based on the reviews and the fact that it came with an Android-based tablet. It was advertised to have fax capabilities out of the box as well.What I ended up getting was a substandard tablet with a rather substandard printer. First off, the tablet is slow as heck. Touch gestures on the tablet are not very responsive and opening apps are slow. While I didn't expect iPad-like performance, this detachable "device" is just fluff to show off printing capabilities without a computer. The apps on the tablet are mostly for printing, but there are a few bright spots (e-books, browser) but it's no iPad, not by a long shot.What really upset me was the fax capabilities are limited to a free monthly subscription to eFax, a service that allows sending and receiving of faxes through the internet. When I say free, it's 20 free outbound and inbound faxes PER MONTH. After that there is a fee per page. I suppose I should have done more research on this printer, but I would have expected a real fax machine instead of eFax.For my money, it's better to buy the model behind this one with an ADF and true fax capabilities than spend extra for a tablet that comes with a printer with less features.

If you are planning on using this printer with Windows7 OS, find another printer. It does come with a disk, however the software must have been written so poorly that it just does not work. After hours on the phone with Tech support (problem was not fixed) I decided that I would prefer to return the printer. First they said I can not return the printer. Then they said I could return it if I pay for shipping and restocking charges. I offered to repackage it (judging by the looks of the box, I am not the first person to return it)and pay return shipping (should have done my homework first, my fault) but I would not pay restocking charges. I had to threaten a charge back to even get a full refund for a printer that didn't work and pay $17 to ship it back. Save your money on this one.

This is a good printer for the amateur photographer who enjoys printing an occasional odd size picture and more of the smaller ones. I can see were a professional or a more demanding photo bug would be frustrated with the speed and print quality. But for most of us common folk it is a step up from the normal printer.

Seems to me HP started going down hill in quality and reliability about the same time Ms. Fiorina was at the helm. She sent a lot of HP jobs overseas and created total chaos out of the ill fated Compaq merger. The company has never really recovered from that. She was fired but the damage has infected the company like nothing else in its long history. HP used to be the gold standard in inkjet printers that every other company measured itself against.I went through two of the 470 mobile printers in a couple of months and ended up sending one back to my IT department and trashing the other one. I also had an Office jet printer I purchased for my home office a couple of years ago and it died prematurely as well. My HP small form factor Desktop had the hard drive crash twice, the first time at least was under warranty and was replaced. It still acts up every now and then and I have had to reinstall Windows XP from scratch more than once, thank god for backups! The 470 mobile printer can't stand up to the everyday travel and kept jamming, flashing all sorts of stupid warning lights and codes. The first one lasted 6 or 7 weeks, and its replacement quit after 2 weeks.I was on the road when the last one died since I travel constantly for my job, so I went to a local Office Depot and got myself a Canon Pixma 90 and I am still using it 2 years later. Canon makes a far better and more rugged product. I would rather buy American, but this really is a cheap made in China or god knows where printer and the quality is nonexistent. Save your money and buy a Canon if you need a mobile printer.

I bought this printer thinking that I didn't need anything fancy to print some basic documents. At first it was alright on my system, printing homework and some cardstock stuff went great. By the time I got a second ink cartridge in it (About a month) I was ready to pull my hair out. I'd have to restart in between most documents, force close the spooler and monkey with turning it on and off just to get anything done. Save yourself the hassle and buy something better.

The light color machine was a first choice. The length of the machine is longer than my previous HP. The height is good. The machine is good-looking.This machine is very noiseyIt functions differently than my previous HP printer which stopped making noise once the print task was finished. This model continues w/it's own tasking noice once printing is complete. Don't know why. Very unpleasant to hear this shuffling ongoing noise.

First H470 arrived with both program CD's broken. Had to download H470 driver for Windows 7 from HP. Unit would not power up and position correctly for cartridge loading. Software reported "Carriage Stalled". Returned printer to Amazon and ordered 2nd printer.Second printer with Windows 7 printed immediately. Did not have to load software that came with printer, since previously downloaded drivers from HP. Have not used much yet. Printed a few Text and Color Photos, which have excellent quality. Seemed to print very fast. Neat small size and great for my general home use.Amazon Customer Service is Fantastic. 2nd printer was ordered with 2 day free shipping. It arrived in one day to Salt Lake City.

I needed a new all in one printer...and I've been thinking of getting a tablet.In walked the HP E-Station...The Printer is everything you'd expect from a high end HP, excellent quality photo printing, dual side printing, and fast black and white.I love the free efax too, as I have occasional need for faxing but don't want to pay a monthly fee for rare usage.Best printer I've ever owned.As for the Tablet...I've been pleasantly surprised!I paid $300 for the whole shabang so I didn't expect to get a great printer with a free Ipad...if you do you'll be disappointed, but if you have realistic expectations you may find this to be a useful e-reader, web browser, weather station, and email machine in its own right. Love the SD slot for music and video too!If you're considering a nook color, pay the extra $50 and get a great printer!

I ordered this printer to replace an older HP printer. I am a big fan of HP computers and printers, so I was blown away by this item. I can honestly say that setup was not complicated at all. One poster stated that the paper will just fall on the floor after they are printed, but if you look carefully, there is a paper catch latch that you can pull out and the problem is solved. You just have to look carefully to find it, as it is black and is rather flush with the paper tray. Even the Zeen tablet has been updated to version 2.2. Overall, I am very pleased.

When I can get this printer to work it does a good job. I would say this printer is inconsistent and uncooperative. I'm glad I paid under $200 for it. It does not accept the commands and controls in a consistent manner. It will complain about my paper at times and refuse to print on it. Sometimes it will say I have no paper. I've had technical help twice from HP representatives. The second time the technician got my printer to accept my paper. The next time I used the printer I had the same problem all over again. One paper type command will work one time and maybe not the next. Or, I can be persistent and possibly on the third or fourth try the printer will print like I expect it should. GRrrrrrr!!!

THE TABLET HAS ANDROID 2.2 I know of phones that cost more that dont have 2.2 you can upload anything you want to the tablet as an APK file and bam you have yourself a free (with printer) e-reader tablet with wifi! can also access other things such as angry birds and other android apps. Printer is amazing the design is flawless from the paper loading area to the discrete control buttons, its quiet and fast and the printing is fantastic!

Horrid. Simply. Horrid.While I love a technical challenge, this was a gaping waste of time trying to band-aid and keep running. I was even to the point of hand feeding sheets of paper in.Was it fun restarting the print spooler for every job? Sure.Was it fun refilling un-refillable cartridges? Oh yeah.Was it fun dismantling the rollers and getting out the flashlight to see what ran off track? Certainly.Was there a limit to a persons patience? Yup.As a former equipment tech I'd like to know how this got past QC.Final solution; it's heading for the landfill.

I am BLOWN AWAY by the print quality in a 13 x 19 photo printer that costs about $200. Big prints are GORGEOUS.One interesting oddity: The only photo paper I had on hand when the printer arrived was HP Premium Photo Paper, which oddly enough is NOT one of the paper choices on the drop-down menu that appears when you want to print something on this printer. I selected "Other Photo papers" and the colors were AWFUL. Then I found three sheets of 4x6 "Advanced" paper (the recommended type) in the box. I set the paper selection to "HP Advanced Photo Paper" and the print was perfect. Then I re-tried my HP Premium Photo Paper with the same "Advanced" setting and results were also perfect. I have since used "HP Premium Plus Photo and Proofing Gloss" paper (another one NOT listed) with the same "Advanced" setting and the results were also gorgeous.I often use JASC Paint Shop Pro Version 7.0 to make multiphoto collages on a single sheet of 13x19 photo paper and the results are always top-notch. Inks are also very reasonable, and you replace only the color that runs out, not an entire multi-ink cartridge. I love this printer.10/8/2009 Update: The ink cartridges that come with this printer have very little ink in them. Get the 564XL ink cartridges from Amazon for about $7 each. It takes about three Photo Black cartridges and one each Magenta, Yellow, Cyan (all $7) and one Regular Black cartridges ($30) to print either 160 8 1/2x11 photos or 60 13x19 photos. That's $72 in ink, less than 50 cents for each 8 1/2 x 11 photo and $1.20 for 13x19. Add the cost of the paper and it's a screaming bargain.This printer has more than paid for itself in two weeks.Final note: I don't understand all the fuss about stretching etc. on borderless prints. Why do you need borderless? Results are perfect on bordered prints, which is all I print. If you frame the prints, as I often do, the border is covered by the recess in the frame, or the mat. If you DON'T frame the print, what's wrong with a thin white border?DO NOT replace any ink cartridge until print quality visibly declines. I can usually print over ten perfect 8 1/2 x 11 photos after the warning message pops up, showing almost no ink in one or more cartridges.

I opened this today and tried to set it up! Didn't even get past the cartridge input.....it just is stalled and jammed and won't move to the proper place to install the ink cartridges. I should have listened to the other reviews here that said the same thing!Also-it is big-doesn't seem portable to be-maybe for the car, but not for airplane travel like I do every month.It will be going back pronto !Still on my quest for a light weight portable printer.

I bought this printer when I was in the market for a wide format printer for my scrapbooking projects. It was extremely easy to set-up and use especially since I have had other photosmart printers in the past. The only negative thing is that it is a little noisy and it seems to eat up ink. I would strongly recommend purchasing the XL versions of the ink replacements. With all that said, the picture quality is absolutely wonderful.

This is an awesome package. I have the hp 510 and I have only had it set up for a couple days and I am in love! Set up was easy - please follow directions! It does so much. the Tablet is cool...now I dont expect it to do my dishes or clean the house - so my expectations are fair and I am very impressed. Have decided to get rid of my desktop computer....with my laptop, droid 2 phone and now this printer with tablet...i just dont need it anymore.

This printer is the biggest piece of crap I have ever bought. It constantly stops working after printing a couple of pages. I have to restart, uninstall the printer, unhook the USB and power cords, or whatever else I may think of to try. Then it will sometimes work again for a few brief moments before messing up again. Sometimes it prints about a fifth of a page and then locks up. The good news is that the cartridges still haven't run out of ink, since nothing ever prints.

I have owned this printer for about two years. It's "draft mode" prints very quickly, its "high quality mode" creats great looking documents but if I ever try to print more than 25 pages in one sitting it jams up. This isn't a paper jam or something that can be easily fixed, the carriage stops working. The only way to clear the jam is to unplug it and plug it back in, which means you lose the rest of your document and have to start over. Just turning it off doesn't work, it still thinks their is a jam.

I belong to a duplicate bridge club, and we must use a laptop to score the game electronically. I had been lugging a regular printer to print the results. This HP portable printer is a back saver! The price was at least $65 cheaper than others I had seen. The only complaint I have is that there is no tray to receive the printed pages.

My HP mobile printer fits my needs exactly. It is compact and fits behind my laptop. It is quiet,prints rapidly and makes great copies. Although i have not taken it on a trip, it certainly is compact/light enough to do so. It's economically priced and i'd recommend it to anyone with limited space or are "on the go" Paul/Newcastle,Wa.

Just received this photo printer on Friday and so far I love it!I'd been looking for a good quality photo printer but couldn't afford the $700+ it seems one needs to spend for professional quality. The reviews I read about this printer from amateur photographers were excellent (the only knock was its a little slow, but since I'm doing this for home use/family gifts, lightening speed is not an issue) and the price was right.I was amazed that it arrived Friday since I only ordered it Thursday and there was no shipping charge!So far I have only printed a few photos but the quality is excellent, and for me the speed is just fine. I love the fact that I will be able to print larger than 8.5 x 11 inch pages (I spend a lot of time at Staples having things printed and having to tweak settings to accommodate the darker output of their laser printers - thank goodness the local copy center folks are patient and helpful!).I am writing this review because I had trouble the first time I tried to print on regular copier/printer paper. It would start to pull the paper through but then stop and say it was out of paper. I would have to open the printer and pull the paper out by hand. This happened over and over. I found that it worked fine with photo paper and card stock but I couldn't get it to work with copier/printer paper. I was getting very frustrated and started looking online and found reference to others having this issue and returning the printer. I was bummed, I thought I had bought a dud and would have to return it. Even though we have an inexpensive all in one for everyday printing, I want the flexibility to use any weight paper I choose for the project I am working on.Before boxing it back up I decided to try a few things and what I found out was that the default for this printer is HP Advanced Photo Paper which is of course much thicker than copier/printer paper. Once I changed the setting to plain paper it printed perfectly using copier/printer paper. Also, when I changed the output to normal rather than best it printed much faster, which was great for a non-photo project. I am very happy I took the time to look a little further and hope to be using this printer for years to come.

I've set my management team up with mobile offices in their trucks to manage their teams in the field. In route work, you need to be able to hand out a map on the spur of the moment. This printer is a much needed answer for our supervisors' requirements. Running on a battery means no power concerns or cord tangles and trip hazards out there alongside the truck when the tailgate of the truck is made an instant desk. With the optional bluetooth or wifi configuration, (all three configurations are available on this unit) you have no cords at all. Just pull it out, turn it on, load some paper and you're ready to print. It spits out pages in good quality at up to 22 pages per minute, prints in color or grayscale, and does it with no fussing about. Not bad performance for an office printer much less a battery operated, no wires printer on the tailgate of a truck. I logged onto the HP website to download the drivers from the net rather than the included discs because we're using netbook computers to command the printer, so no optical drives are in these computers. HP's site was easy to navigate and the drivers were easy to find and the download went without any hitches, plus HP sent me an email after this visit and registration to have me review their service. Seems like they care about the customer experience though I didn't have any issues which would have required any special assistance. That's kind of the ideal, isn't it?The only negative I have for this unit is the price of the ink cartridges. However, weighing the cost of ink against the convenience of easy loading cartridges and the cost of having team members wandering around neighborhoods looking for a specific street this is much more cost effective.

We have gone thru multiple printers over the years. This is the first printer to consolidate all our printing into a single unit. I can print from computer, camera or cell from any point in the world. Regular and photo paper remain continuously loaded. Colors are true. One caution, this is not a "push here dummy" unit. The Zeen control center is truely a tablet computer in its own right and needs study to master.

I needed a printer for 11x17 AutoCAD prints, so I got this one. For that purpose it was just fine. The photo color tends to be darker and dull, not as bright as my photo premium all-in-one printer. Don't know how to adjust it. For large format printer, the price is very reasonable, and it does its work.

The photosmart P1000 was one of the best printers ever made. The software is so easy to use. Setup is a snap. The templates are easy to find and use. Quality is great. Had several other printers since and I had to go back to this one. I purchased a printer at the beginning of the year that I saw on TV. Loud, not the word for it. No quality. Their Ink goes just as fast as any other ptinter. Wanted to enjoy printing with my printer.

This printer did not work from the start. The 8 1/2 x 11 paper feed jams every time. After contacting HP directly they said it was defective and they would replace it with a refurbished one!! I contacted Adorama Camera (within 3 weeks from date of purchase) and they stated if toner or ink had been installed in the printer, they would not exchange or refund the printer!!! WHAT??? How are you supposed to know if it works or not, if you don't put in the ink cartridges??? AMAZON also dropped the ball on this. Don't count on their A-Z guarantee! AMAZON stated if Seller has their return policy stated, then there was nothing they could do. RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THIS PRINTER!! IT'S NOT WORTH TAKING THE CHANCE OF GETTING A DEFECTIVE MACHINE AND HAVING NO RECOURSE OTHER THAN TO TAKE SOMEONE ELSE'S RETURNED JUNK DUBBED "REFURBISHED"!!! WON'T BUY ANOTHER THING FROM AMAZON. IF THEY ARE GOING TO ALLOW SELLERS TO SELL UNDER THEIR UMBRELLA, THEY SHOULD BE WILLING TO STAND BEHIND THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS ON THEIR BEHALF. ESPECIALLY ON SUCH A RETARDED RETURN POLICY!!!!

I've had this printer for 15 months. on the 13 month (conveniently after the 1 year warranty ran out) I started getting the following error."out of paper, please place paper face down on the tray"This message comes up every time I print, even though I have paper in the tray.I contacted HP who couldn't assist me and wouldn't replace my printer or inform me on how to fix it. They did tell me they'd give me 10% off if I purchased a new HP printer. I will DEFINITELY not be purchasing any HP computers or printers in the future. I'd suggest doing some research and spending a little more $$ to get a superior large format printer that won't break after 12 months...

Ужасно

Disgustingly filled with bloatware. I couldn't even locate my scanned photos or set my preferences so I could find them in my files.Huge driver package filled with useless crap. Can't say anything about the print quality because I didn't print with it, the softwarewas too much of a pain in the ass to use.

I use this printer with Vista 64. I'm a web designer and have strong graphic artist skills (have been using Photoshop for over 15 years). I have several printers in the house but I wanted a printer that I felt that could generate decent prints and have a lower cost of ownership than my Epson printers.The HP B8550 got my attention because of the good reviews and the ink system. 5 inks with one a photo black and regular black and the option of bigger ink tanks for a good cost was what I was looking for. It's almost impossible to get consistent cost per page numbers across different brands as that depends a great deal on what kind of cost you can find on the ink. If you can get great deals on ink for printer A and not for Printer B that alone can change your cost of ownership.As a general rule Epson has the best photo printers and I have confirm this many times. Canon is usually second place and HP tends to be third in photos but first in text quality. After using the B8550 I can clearly say things are changing.Good: This HP 5 ink printer (only 4 inks for Photos) took on my Epson 6 ink printers and matched it (And maybe even surpass in some cases). The photos looked great and the printer was fairly fast. Print quality is the final measurement of any printer and this printer did as expected (I had high expectations).Bad: Oh, HP, when will you get your act together with your drivers? The Window drivers have no ICM profiles. The Mac versions do so this is just not acceptable and I was counting on them. In Photoshop the printer would forget settings and revert to older values (who does the QA for this stuff at HP?). Since I had no ICM profiles I could not let Photoshop control color reproduction and had to use the printer color logic. The saving grace is that since we have fewer inks fine tuning the default color profile was not hard. After like 20 small prints I had found a color combination that matched my monitor colors with great accuracy.If HP ever gets updated Windows drivers with ICM profiles and that they remember changes better in Photoshop this would be a 5 star printer. The hardware and print quality is all there, all they need is to show better love on their drivers.Get the XL inks, worth the extra money. The HP paper is very expensive. Consider paper from other brands and test. The difference in print quality is not much (if any) and the price difference can be significant.

I bought this printer to produce photos and it does this very well. I have not as yet used it to print any large photos however the photos that I have printed on this printer are very very good. The largest I have printed is 8 X 11.

This system is for pictures...it does not do a good job of scanning documents to your computer and sending them as an attachment. It has limited use and there are far better document printers out there in the market. However, it seems mediocre for pictures which should be its speciality.

The gentleman who sent it could not have been nicer about letting me return the item. It simply did not work. The cost was good, approximately $60 less than I ended up paying for a new one through HP. When I received the printer from the seller, it came wrapped in bubble wrap. It was described as new and working perfectly. I later found out it was a demo model. That explained why it did not come with software, warranty or the original box. I am on the road everyday and needed a product I could use immediately. Instead I had to spend time downloading the software and taking the item to two different stores to try to find out what I was doing wrong. This was not worth the saving in cost. I take responsibility for not reading thoroughly through the item description. I saw the price and made my decision. I love the HP Offeicjet H470wf I now own. It was probabaly not a good decision to buy it online. Some items that are demos are fine to order but printers are probably not the best choice for me in the future.

I have had this printer about a year now. I love the quality of photo printing, however, I think it's more cost effective to buy prints at my local Target or Walgreens, especially when a 5 pack of color cartridges just set me back more than $50 and that's not including black! When you first turn on the printer, it spends about 2 solid minutes going through "printer preparation" so make sure you are in no hurry to print something quick before leaving out the door. Today I had something quite interesting happen - after the "printer preparation" finished, the touch screen display told me to replace my cyan cartridge soon, but when I printed a page from a website, it told me to replace my photo magenta soon, yet i would not allow me to print my paper until I selected the option "use black only." I took my photo magenta out and shook it, still ink in there and did the same with my cyan and wow, still ink in there as well. In my old Canon that used individual color cartridges, I could use the printer up till the time no more ink came out. This one doesn't give you the option, perhaps because HP wants you to go buy more pricy ink right away. I do enjoy the built-in card reader both fpr printing pictures without turning the computer on and for uploading pictures without my camera connected to a USB port. I like being able just to take the card out of my camera and place it in the printer. Wireless connectivity is another benefit, having three computers and all can print to this one. ONE SUGGESTION - go into your printer preferences and change your default to fast/economical printing for all non photo printing to save ink. If I had the choice to buy this again, I wouldn't due to the price and frequency of ink use.

I didn't get through one black ink cartridge before this printer started jamming on almost every print job. I even tried the paper feed cleaning tool. And there's nothing positive to say about the printer software either.

Великолепно

One of the best printers I have used. I have had this printer for 3 years. Mainly for routine printing at home. Gave me absolutely no headaches. Simple to set up, simple to use, simple to change cartridges. No problems at all in the 3 years I have had. Was well-worth the money. Cartridges are a bit pricey, but they give you good print quality even on draft setting. I would buy again and recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a simple, headache-free printer.
