This is the second time I have built a computer on a Gigabyte Mother Board. They come with thicker metal and sturdy overall and on the functional side excellent. Once I had the CPU, Memory and CPU cooler installed I mounted in the case and about two hours had all the power and signal connections made carefully and verified. When the power was put on it booted immediately, suggested I move one memory stick to another slot. Did that and reboot and it took more time with setting up the software and setting drive letters etc. The build part is straight forward. Just be careful with how you use tools not to slip and do any damage. One of the best motherboard makers is Gigabyte.

watch out for horizontal heat sinks.
I did not even want the wireless. I prefer the physical connections. The motherboard was real easy to setup - no issues whatsoever. Do be careful what kind of horizontal heat sink you get. I got an AXP-100 heat sink and it hit the left side of heat sink on the motherboard, Not much clearance on 2 sides. I had to trim the AXP-100 with a dremel to get it to seat properly. The mod did not affect the heat sink cooling capabilities.

if you want something simple, yet highend the z390 ultra is the way to go! love this thing, ill be buying another when i move to 10th gen processors, aorus nails it, the old ASUS z390 P i was using was pushing my cpu voltage to 1.5.. this one even on auto, i can push 5.0 ghz and on auto it only goes to 1.320 volts, way safer for the cpu
only con is the cover to the plugs and the aorus rgb logo scratch insanely easy, don't take that plastic off till your 100% done building, or you will scratch it one way or another. hardly noticeable but its very easy to scratch the heck out of it.

Finally, a motherboard that supports Thunderbolt 3!
Finally, a motherboard that supports Thunderbolt 3! I needed that to work with my Apollo x16 A/D/A converter for recording. Motherboard works great, BIOS is very customizable, works well with my water-cooled CPU cooler, and I didn't even have to re-install Windows. Recommended.

La mejor tarjeta madre que he tenido. El VRM (Voltage Regulating Module) es fantástico con 12 fases y un disipador de calor excelente. Las conexiones de control de ventiladores con completamente programables sin restricciones, los disipadores de calor para los NVME son eficaces y el sistema IO ofrece opciones dinámicas y amplias. También tiene un disipador de calor en la parte trasera de la tarjeta. Adicionalmente tiene una antena externa para WiFi que ofrece buenas velocidades (no lo he probado a detalle).
Adicionalmente, aunque quizás sin tanta importancia el sistema RGB integrado es agradable y flexible usando el programa dedicado.

Solid board for good performance and multi-boot
I'm using this for Windows, Linux, and Mac and I paired it with an i7-9700K and it's performing awesome. Installation was easy. The only tight spot was getting the Vega 56 to clear the fancy looking, but seemingly unnecessary heatsink covers that seem to be there mainly for aesthetics. Overall no complaints and it's stable as the dickens.

Good board, nice feature set, some bugs in stock bios (settings not saving, incorrect information displayed) a bios update corrected those issues. Quick post gets through post in about 1 second, makes the rig startup in about 7-8 seconds, paired it with A 9900k @ 5Ghz allcore. And 4x8GB sticks of g.skill 3600mhz 16-16-16-36 ddr4, 2xM.2 ssds android a zotac gtx 1080 amp extreme. Nice and stable.

I am happy with this purchase so far, it is a solid & well made motherboard. The RBG effects are okay, but nothing special. The bios is pretty easy to use, as are the overclocking features. The WiFi is really good it gets 5 bars and great speed even when I don't have the antennas installed.

Thunderbolt compatibility nightmare
Trying to get this board to work with thunderbolt is a pain at every step. Almost no official documentation, and the documentation that exists is not specific enough. Could not handle correctly passing through GPU output to multiple monitors via thunderbolt.
Not to mention to even get 1 monitor working requires wiring your gpu to a displayport port on the motherboard (of unspecified version), and the motherboard doesn't even come with the correct cable: mine came with a mini displayport cable when displayport was required.

This board has a very nice layout. Can get to all the connections, like the power, without problems.
Lighting on board also indicates that the MB has power. Had no issues with setup. Remember with a new install
the MB may restart several times, but the fans keep on going. Note: the m2 screws and stand offs are on
the board, not in a package. This is a good idea as they can not be lost.
Easy to upgrade BIOS, over all very pleased with everything.

I assembled my DIY workstation without any issues. Within 45 days, I started having boot issues... the BIOS kept resetting. After checking out all the other peripherals, I decided I should check the CMOS battery. Since this was only a couple months old, I figured the battery should be fairly new. Wrong... the CMOS battery was dead. Anytime I've purchased a new computer, the CMOS battery has lasted at least 3-4 years (or longer). I'm really surprised this board shipped with a battery that lasted less than 2 months.

Good MOBO except that the screws to retain the SSD's heat sink aren't very tough. So if and when you do install a SSD, make sure you do not screw the heat sink retaining screw to hard, otherwise you may end up breaking the screw support, just like I did, and the heat sink will not stand in place therefore will not be usable.
This is why I dropped a star, beside this, this is a Plug and Play MOBO. using it with the Z-390 chipset and I5-9400F CPU.

Worse board I have ever had!
It's a great motherboard, unfortunately when I opened the case it had no screws included. Had to order my m.2 screws and bracers separately. Highly disappointed! I also had massive amounts of issues with this board!! I have been trouble shooting it for the last 5days. Tried everything I possibly could. And still have no success even in getting it to post. I have had way to many issues with gigabyte products. I'm I am completely done buying there crap made over priced products!!

Bought this Z390 pro to go into a new build. Last board had a Z77 chipset on it so I was due for an upgrade. This board has a very intuitive interface, Amazing audio, Overclocking abilities, Fancy lights, and a bunch of other features I don't understand so no point in throwing specs around. I really appreciated the armored PCIe and Dimm slots and the copious USB ports. Great board for Gen 9, Intel Core Processors just make sure you update the Bios first.

Pretty much as good as it gets for the modern consumer’s gaming PC
As far as consumer motherboards go, there is little to want more than what the Z390 Designare offers. With a max of 64gb of ram, support for 9th gen Intel processors, and even some cool customizable RGB, this board has it all. While a little bit pricey, buyers remorse is nowhere to be found. You’ll definitely love this board. It even supports a PC Speaker if you’re into that

Excelente tarjeta madre, con una buena fuente te mantiene los 5ghz sin ningún problema, es bastante cómodo que traiga Bluetooth 5 integrado para poder jugar con mandos a distancia, el wifi es de lo mejor, a su vez la conexión alambrica es magnífica, las luces RGB aunque tenues agregan un toque gaming bastante chulo, excelente en compatibilidad ya que cuenta con un montonal de puertos de expansión, el audio como lo describe gigabyte es de alta gama, quizá incluso un poco más de lo que debería para el mercado al que se enfoca, honestamente no es de lo más barata pero vale la pena ahorrar para invertir en esta chulada. 👌

This motherboard got all I need
I use this for Hackintosh and it has all ports I needed as a Mac. A little pricy but worth it. Not much RGB is good for me as I don't want light pollution on my desk. It comes with F6 bios in July and everything work as expected. The build quality feels solid. Easy to connect for the front panel headers even for noob like me.

Amazing board, very easy to install and it comes with all the wiring and extra parts you could ever need. I went with a fully modular power supply and I had everything I needed and more.
REMINDER FOR INSTALLATION!!! Do not install the board into the case until you've mounted the CPU Cooler Bracket to the back of the Board. This mistake cost me a good hour taking the board in and out of the case.
Besides that very easy to install and the LEDs look awesome. The software is easy to use and the whole thing booted up without a snag.

Unexpected and intermittent motherboard went off. No applications installed, just Windows.

Bought this for my first PC build. It had the I/O I needed and is supposed to have good VRM. I could do without the RGB. I don't do overclocking, so I can't speak to the boards true potential. I've read complaints about the bios being difficult to navigate. The board I received had bios version F6 out of the box. I couldn't install windows until I updated bios to version F8, which was inconvenient. That said, from what I've read it is one of the best Z390 MOBO's in this price range. I'm happy with it so far.

Arrived sealed from factory!
Arrived on time, Packed good, Brand new sealed box and sealed anti-static seal! Been up and running with no problems so far! Looks and feels like very solid durable motherboard. Flashed Bios to F9 latest as of this review again no problems. This board fits my needs for Studio Audio/Photoshop/gaming Great all rounder. I bought it mainly for the Thunderbolt 3 and hackintosh Win10/MAC dual booter! Fun Fun Fun!

-I had an issue with the first one that there was no solution for online despite a lot of threads with this issue. Unable to install Windows, it would freeze and crash. Tested and replaced everything else and this turned out to be the culprit. If you have this issue, save yourself the headache and just replace the motherboard. I spent hours testing and replacing the other "possible" components after replacing two other motherboards (surely, the third one couldn't be defective.. /s).

Great motherboard, worth the price.
Solid performance, haven’t experienced any issues in the few months that I’ve had it installed in my PC. Worth the price, so long as you’re looking for a good BIOS, support for the latest Intel chips (I have the i9 9900KF), and good aesthetics.
