I got a great deal on this here at Amazon. Awesome camera other then battery life. It's not bad, but as with all digital cameras now a days it could be better.

I'm no professional reviewer, so I don't have several pages of commentary. Nor am I a professional photographer, so I won't bore you with technical jargon. What I can tell you is that I really like this camera and for less than a hundred and forty clams, I haven't seen a better deal out there. My parents have been big fans of Olympus cameras, but this little bugger outshines their cameras by a large margin. They even said so!

Easy to use.

Great images.

Decent video.

And the battery has lasted a lot longer than I thought it would with that huge display on the back.

I've suggested this camera to several people and will continue to do so.

For the price of this camera on Amazon you won't find a better deal. Camera itself is really nice. Very good ergonomics. Easy to use and navigate. Higher capacity xD card and a case is a must. Makes great pictures outdoors using AUTO ISO. Indoors I needed to change ISO to 100 or 200, otherwise if left in AUTO camera selects ISO on the high end. It selected in 600 range where 200-400 ISO would be enough. Picture became very grainy when ISO is above 400. It might not be noticeable on 4X6 prints, but when you view your picture on entire monitor screen, "noise" is very noticeable. Just manually change ISO setting from AUTO to 100, 200 or even 400 and you will get a very good quality picture. Overall it a very good camera considering all fitures, picture quality and price.

Bought this along with a few other chargers from the same company, yet again a terrific little charger that chargers batteries in no time.

Got the camera based on the price and reviews on [...]. Very portable and easily fits in your pocket/palm. Pictures taken with the auto settings were fine except in low light situations. There is not many manual settings to play around with, but this was expected even before the camera was purchased. Battery life is pretty good, on a trip to DC for 3 days had to re-charge the camera only once. Also purchased a 1GB Xd Picture Card Type H along with the camera. It is a must if you want to take more than 4-5 pictures at a time (with the 16MB card provided with the camera).

The thing that I like the most in this camera is the big screen, it is really nice and you can see how your pictures will look before printing. You can even zoom in your pictures. The only thing that I dislike is it memory, they only put 16MB in a XD Card when you buy it, so you can't record any videos or it will take all of the space. But, it is excelent if you buy another memory card. The controls are not so easy at first, but after some use it is not so hard. Battery is nice, for such a big screen, it holds charge for a long time, even a week if you don't use it a lot.

I bought this camera october 2005 for a little more than the listing price here (i thought it would be a lot lower by now...). at first, yeah, i loved it! the only problem at first was that it took blurry pictures and it's very very slow. if you have shaky hands or if you drink coffee or anything with caffeine in it, prepare yourself for blurry pictures (my mom took homecoming pictures with it...none came out...all u could see was a blue blur (me) standing next to a taller black blur...very attractive). The camera is like ultra-sensitive for blurriness. so once i got used to the blurriness, it was great and i took it everywhere. its not like really tiny like all of these new cameras that im currently looking to buy, but it fit in my purse (that says something).

so in late december (almost 3 months after buying), the sound on the video function broke. i mean i was having a blast with the (low quality) videos and my friends but then that broke and instead all you could here was this wonderful high-pitched tone. not fun. i would have returned it then had i not lost the receipt...

then about two weeks ago (mid-august) another breaking! now the LCD broke! all it shows is white. just white. i just LOVE it (sarcasm). so i come on here today to buy a new camera because were going to chicago and i need a camera and i see this on the top 20. bad choice.

all i can say is that this camera is perfect for you if you want a camera to last less than a year and take blurry pictures from the start.

This was my first purchase thorugh amazon looking for electronics and with little photogaphy knowledge I was a bit concerned of what the experience might entail. But it all turned out well and am very pleased with the camera, the screen is amazing and the quality of pictures are great. there are some cool games that can keep me busy as well. The only thing is that it obviously needs more care so I would recommend finding a case for it because the screen demands protection.

Really like the big viewing screen, can hardly look at a regular size screen on other cameras now. Menu easy to figure out, prefer the rechargable camera as opposed to the other battery operated. Camera small, easy to bring everywhere-orange color is very stylish

I picked this camera up for my boyfriend because I read the reviews and it seemed to be a good option. We're in the film business and I wasn't looking for anything high-end, but I did expect more from this thing.

- The screen is extremely grainy

- The picture is decent quality, but this thing struggles deeply with lighting issues (takes a long time to focus and still proves a soft image or overlit most of the time.)

I really wouldn't have many complaints if it wasn't for the fact that I got my parents a Kodak Easy Share 4 or 5mp and it is easier to use and produces much better pictures. We just got this thing, so I'll keep you updated.

Overall, he wanted a thin camera he could hold in his pocket and take anywhere. Well, he's got it, I just hope he can get a decent shot occasionally.

* My recommendation would be spend a little more, do some research, and stay away from this "cute, little orange" camera.

First digital camera and WOW, great camera for an Amateur. Easy to use with my limited knowledge of all things technical and as I learn more it also has many capabilities. Love the large viewer (if that is what it is called) 3" and for someone who has a hard time seeing it is great. In less than 1/2 hr was up and running with it, had pics on computer and was emailing them away. No technical review here, just an ordinary person that is happy with her great choice of a wonderful camera. Good luck.

I am going to tell you that this camera is very nice. The picture quality is good up close but the distance picture are not that great. All 3 times opitcal cameras are bad in my opinion. Anything 6 optical and above takes a great picture.

I like this camera and all the features. The size is great and the LCD screen is PHAT. Great. One thing though...out side in full sun, the LCD screen is hard to see. Inside ...beautiful. The videos are ok. Grainy. Outside videos are good to great.

Just indoors is funny. Great sound.

The video games are fun. I love that option. The functions on this camera are great. THe response of this camera are teriffic! The zoom is so quick and the start up is just a fast. I do not like the charging cable too much. It is combersome. No charging dock. The little covers for the holes to the power and usb are very flimsy. You have to be gentle and careful. They just are hanigng be a thread, persay.

I would look into a battery charger so you don't have to keep plugging the camera into the cable charger. It takes a NP40 size battery. But...that is ok. It's not that bad. I just have to remember to be gentle.

But I still like the camera...Thank you.

PS...I bet you will never find the perfect point and shhot pocket digital camera. All of them have faults and problems with picture quality. I give up looking. What needs to improve is the light and the optical zoom. Opitcal zoom is so important. Mega pixels have come a long way but its still no good without having a great optical zoom.

I purchased this camera for my son's 10th birthday. He had already become quite a photographer with a regular 35mm camera and I knew that he could truly hone his skills with a digital camera. This camera was an absolute hit and without having to read a single instruction, he has become a master photographer. He continues to discover new avenues to explore with this wonderfully complete camera package. Way to go Fujifilm!!

For 8 months, this camera did what it was supposed to. Then the lens would not open. Sent back to Fuji under warranty and 6 weeks later, it was fixed. No issues for another 8 months, then sometimes the lens opens and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will come into focus and sometimes it won't. This = missed photos or some blurry shots.
It was decent while it lasted, just bought a Canon.

I purchased this camera based on previous good experience with an older model Fujifilm camera, reviews here, price and functions. At the same time, I also purchased the larger xD card. Almost out of the box, this camera has given me nothing but grief. What others had said about the blurry photos I can certainly echo. A month or so after purchase, the lens would not open, or it would not open totally. I first thought the batteries were dead and that was the cause....after changing the batteries, the problems still existed - SOME OF THE TIME. Not always - just sporadically. Just enough to cause me to miss many unique and memorable photo opportunities.

In addition to that, now that I'm looking at other brands of cameras I find the xD card I purchased is not transferable so I'm out the cost of that as well. Another malfunction of this camera is after "erasing" all photos on the xD card, taking more photos and uploading the new photos, I found that all the photos originally erased were still there and uploaded again with the new ones? I don't know if that was a camera or memory card malfunction but it just added to my dislike of this camera.

I would NOT recommend this camera to anyone....it's a total dud. I'm very disappointed with Fujifilm and am now looking at Nikon and Cannons. Good luck Fujifulm...you need it

This camera takes beautiful pictures in sunlight or brightly lit indoor scenes. The huge screen is fantastic for reviewing pictures. However, the low or ambient light pictures I've taken so far are not so hot. There are often artifacts in the images and a general blurriness that makes them look "soft" around the edges. To be fair, I see these inconsistencies more prominently when reviewing the images on the computer, while the printed 4x6 pictures seem pretty good. I would recommend this camera for amateur digital photographers who don't plan on printing large prints. It's compact size and easy to view screen make it a nice everyday camera.

Great camera! I love it! My daughter borrowed it for her honeymoon and now she wants one for Christmas. It's nice to have the bigger display screen too.

The camera is as the reviewers said, small, easy to use, large display. My wife said, "oh, I can use it to show friends pictures of our twins". Yes you can with pictures saved on the card. I don't know if you can transfer old pictures onto the card easily though. (Update: You can transfer pictures from your computer but it may be out of sequence depending on the file name)

On to the extras. Despite the low cost, I bought the two year extended warranty as friends have had their little cameras break for all sorts of reasons. I also bought from Amazon the case to protect the screen and the lens from accidential opening. Oh yes, I also bought a 1GB card as the 16MB card held about 16 2MP pictures. This added about $70 total.

For the price, a very nice deal for everyday picture taking.

My wife asked for her own digital camera she can carry in her pocketbook. The V10 was an excellant choice. Fits in her former cigarette cases. It is simple to use and transfer pictures to the HP printer or computer via the USB cable (included). No longer have to move the memory card out. The SDx card with the camera is only 16mb so we purchased the 1gb memory and it has all the capacity we need. The best feature is the size of the screen for viewing your shots and the easy review buttons. Well worth the sale price of $139.00

Takes great pictures for the price which is about half what we paid for a Kodax camera recently that we took back because it would not do low light worth a darn. This camera takes good low light with the flash and takes really unbeliveable videos with just the switch of one button. Sound is also very good. We recorded several minutes of live performance by my band and it came out great.

I LOVE this camera! I actually bought this (grey) one for a friend, I have the cool orange one (mainly so I don't lose it). The large viewing screen is fantastic! It is clear, bright and easy to see even in bright sunshine. The camera powers up quickly and has a fast response after you snap. The zoom is fast and easy to use. I really like and use the function where you can take 2 shots (in very fast succession), one with flash and one without and then compare them. A lot of times I keep both because each one highlights different features. The videos are are also of superb quality. I have a 1GB memory card and have taken over 600 pictures at full (5 MP) quality. The battery has incredible life. I have only charged it twice, and that's with shooting video also. For the price, I feel I got much more than I paid for!

To be honest, I am more particular to Canon and Sony cameras, but my wife got this for herself so I got to play with it. It has a very nice LCD screen, decent battery life, and easy to navigate menus and controls. It's comfortable to hold. The pictures it produces don't seem any different then my Canon and Sony cameras for computer and web images, but I haven't tried any prints yet.

I don't think it turns on quickly enough, not like my Canon and Sony point and shoots. My style is "shooting from the hip" so to speak, at random, sudden, and unpredictable moments. Also, the USB cable it uses to connect to the computer is not standard, and it does not work with the same cable my other cameras use(they all work with the same cable), but it comes with its own. Or just get a card reader. Have fun.

My purchase of the V-10 certainly is the best money that I have spent in long time,you definitely get the most bangs for your bucks.The well constructed,compact design,makes you feel as though you are using a real professional tool & not a plastic wannna be toy.The camera works very well in the auto mode,however the camera possesses a wealth of manual options to help you taylor your photo just about anyway you like.The menus & button controls are very user friendly,& you have got to appreciate the large 3" monitor. The long lasting rechargeable battery is nice to.

compared to Best Buy and other companies. I received the camera within 5 days and it was in excellent working condition. My daughter was very happy, she loves her new camera. I would absolutely use this seller again.
