My camera arrived within the stated time frame, small shock when I found instructions in French but relieved to find book in English underneath in box,so far I am well pleased to own such a super piece of kit.
Instructions are clear enough for an old duffer like me to understand.

I bought this for my niece so I can't say I've done extensive use of this camera. I did use one at a store and found the double stabilizers worked to make pictures much better even at decent zoom levels. Price for this camera mixed with the high zoom capability should make it a winner for pictures from holiday family pics to doing serious art pics.

Very good camera, takes excellent quality pictures. I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of it. The only thing is they could've included a bigger memory card with it, but new one's aren't that expensive.

Been abroad for an International course and used this camera and it was embrassing that about 30% pictures were a problem especially when my colleagues from various european countries requested to e-mail a copy. To my shock the red eye reduction was not effective when the flash was used and the anti-shake effect was not working. Infact I took pictures on 5 MP setting. Also the pictures were not as good as my 6 year old sony 2.3 MP camera. I have applied for a return & refund.

I really like this camera as far as a point and shoot, ready when you need it, camera goes. Unfortunately the orange color (which i love) was so much more expensive (almost 150 dollars extra!) so i settled for the grey, but its still a nice looking camera with a lot of good basic features. The screen is huge, litterally the entire back of the camera, and very clear. I can even see it pretty clearly in bright sunlight conditions. Easilly fits in my pocket and is light weight enough to carry around with me everywhere. My only problem with it is image quallity. A good handful of my images (especially indoor shots) look fine small, but upclose are pretty blurry...almost like they are made out of grainy splotches of oil paint or something. Kind of hard to explain, but its a little annoying. The video quallity isnt bad, especially because it has sound too, which none of the other point and shoots i've used before have. With a 1gb card i can get about 15 minutes of video at the 640 setting, and about a half an hour at 320, and around 800 photos at 5mp (400 something at 5mp fine mode). Overall, for under 130 dollars (about 150 with a 1gb xd picture card), with a 3 inch screen, easy to use controls, and small enough to fit in a pocket comfortably for the convieniance of video/pictures at the drop of a hat, you can hardly go wrong. If you are looking for a basic reliable camera for capturing spontaneous photos/videos for under 150 dollars, i think this wont disapoint.

I originally bought this camera for my wife since it's compact and would easily fit in her purse which it does great. However, as Techjunkie stated, the pictures are very grainy and have a 'water-colored' look when displayed full size on a PC monitor, even though the picture may have looked great on the V10's LCD. This is probably due to the automatic high iso settings of the V10. Most of my pictures default to ISO 640 (not iso 64) when shot indoors even when lighting conditions are extremely bright. I have to force iso 64 or 100 to get decent indoor pictures and to avoid this 'water-colored' look. At first, I thought it was a defect in the camera, but I confirmed this when I also tried a display model at BestBuy and saw the same automatic high iso setting under well lit conditions. Outdoor pictures in daylight default to iso 64 and look great. I should have stuck with a Canon Elph when I was looking for a compact camera for my wife. My own Canon pictures look great indoors without messing with iso settings. On a side note, Fuji even uses a non-standard mini USB connector for their camera which is not compatible with their other cameras. My parents have the Fuji F650 and the connector is a tad smaller than the V10. I suppose that's how Fuji earns their money back... by selling lower priced cameras than competitors and then making money by selling non-standard accessories such as custom USB cables and XD memory.

This ia a jewel. Fuji makes great digital cameras that are within anyone's budget. I would recommend the Fuji J10 to everyone.

In Provia, it has definitely an amazing color fidelity.
It copes very well with counter lighting (good dynamics).
Sharp pictures.
A bit heavy but seems pretty solid.
The 14x zoom is definitely a must have.

Keron Lamb form Belize i first bought the orange color camera about a year ago and i was great great pictures hardly had to do any editing on the pictures, and of course i love the big LCD screen. it was stolen and i loved the camera so much that i had to buy back another one to replace it. i still have it and i must say i have not seen one like it around my country i guess only the one that was stolen from me.

i just bought this camera. the picture quality is excellent. the video quality isnt as great and i have seen better, but on a $300 camera. but it does the job.

the pictures are extremely clear. day or night.

for the price, i highly recommend it.

This camera simply combines the professional features in an amature price level. This is not an entry level camera, for me I consider it a high end amature camera.

I have only had my new camera a short time so I have a lot of expiramenting and learning to do. I like it very much. I am extreemly happy this is a choice I made.

Takes great photos. Very clear -- no more fuzzy pictures due to the image stabilization. Love it!! Great price, too!

I bought a nice used fuji a350. IT's good for the most part. Software is good to use, if you know anything about draging highlighted stuff over to a folder. It took me some time to figure it out. The camera in the first few weeks, the telescoping lense somehow got cocked out of possition, and would not slide back in. I don't know if it was bumped or jumped gear? I very carefully, examined it, and did some chriopractic bone snap and got it back in place and seems to work now. The pics turn out nice for the most part. , but can be blurry probably due to movement?. Im not happy with very close up's, but maybe there is a manual setting?? You must stay away about 18 inches for it to not be blurry. The flash I think is alittle under-power, so night shots should be with normal talking distance. The Video mode sucks. sound and video skip about every 10 seconds. Sometimes making the sound off track of the video for quick split second or cuts out. I don't know if this is normal or is my camera bad? but im figuring from my research it very well could be normal for this model. But the video does come in handy if your not worried about little skips or missing words due to audio cutting as well. I dont like the delay when you take a picture. THis is my first real dig. camera, comming from a kodak dc20 win.3.1 type. so I will know what to look for when i get a different one, but for now, I think 5mp will be fine for my picture taking. Bring extera batteries.

I'll admit, I bought this camera as a gift because of the price. If what you're looking for is a moderately priced 5MP camera with a mammoth 3" LCD, this camera is for you. It has the basic feature set, including a zoom over 3X and low-light shooting, but also includes neat features like the "double-shot" for low light situations. The camera will take two consecutive pictures: one with flash, the other without. This handy feature solves those questionable lighting situations where you aren't sure if you're going to light up your friend's face like the Fourth of July and have a washed out black backgroud if you flash. It'll take it both ways, and let you decide which came out better. From a value standpoint, it's great. Add to the fore-mentioned a sturdy camera body (not plasticy like others at the price) and a lithium battery for $160 and I almost want to say "what more do you want?".

However, it is important to note the downsides. The LCD doesn't pick up light very well. Though your picture may look fine once you've flashed, it looks grainy and washed out on the LCD when lining up your picture. Also, if you're in a low light situation and are attempting to zoom, be prepared to wait for the camera to stutter it's way through the auto focus. It otherwise takes quick, crisp pictures, but this was a noticeable shortcoming. Other quirks I noticed were that the battery is not shaped to go in one way, so it is possible to put it in the wrong way if you're not paying attention. Also, your stance on XD media may or may not play into your decision. I personally think it is fine, and doesn't really cost much more than other types of media. The camera comes packaged with a USB cable, and picture transfer is quick and easy.

Overall, I certainly recommend this camera. It is one of the best values out there.

This camera is gr8 deal for all the features packed in. It gives u beautiful pictures if you know how to use the different modes properly. Somehow, im not satisfied with the Auto Mode, i previously owned a Fujifilm FinePix S5100 which did gr8 in auto mode.
Overall a good pick.

I recently purchased this camera for $319.65 and thought that it was good price being 8 MP and 18x Zoom. Typical of my luck, the price dropped to $286.00 after I received it. That really makes it a great bargain now; I should have waited just a couple more weeks, but how did I know?

I purchased this camera a couple of months ago and used it on a trip overseas in various situations. I am overall very happy with the quality of the pictures, esp. those taken using the sunset mode, macro and supermacro. The pictures taken in low light were blurry. I am not sure if that is a result of me using the wrong setting. I took about 300 beautiful pictures.

We purchased this camera because taking the bigger/bulkier ones with better zoom to Disneyworld just didn't seem like a good option (Where do you put it when it's time to get on the ride)? Turns out, the only inferior thing about this camera is that due to it's small size, it's just a 3x optical zoom which really isn't all that bad. Everything else about it is great:

PRO's:

-Looks: It's compact with a metallic orange color, complete metal casing, and a huge yet clear LCD screen. Practically the entire backside is a screen.

-Operation: The downside to having such a huge screen should be limited controls, but thats not the case, I had to play with this camera for 10 minutes to understand just about every important control available. I wish they made every camera this way.

-Features: While the 4 video games are pretty weak and hold my interest as much as an insurance seminar, the phone wasn't purchased for video games. The best feature this phone has is a mode to shoot 2 pictures with one click.. 1 with natural light, and 1 with flash. The playback slideshow mode is a lot of fun to look at, and being able to look at 30 thumbnails is also a big +.

-Picture Quality: Crisp, clear, and colorful.

Con's:

XD instead of SD on the memory card.. Please Fuji, just give it up with your line of XD cameras, just about everybody is going by an SD standard now. This takes away the ability to pop it in the SD slot in my laptop. Because of the incredible price and quality, it's worth the XD hassle, but with SD it would be the perfect compact camera. Just bought a 2nd one in gun metal grey color (orange is a much nicer and unique color, and the pictures on the internet don't do it justice)

I purchased this camera after my Casio was stolen. I'm very impressed with the overall use of this camera. It does however take a little getting use to, as it has so many features. Fun camera and I look forward to many years of great photos.

I wanted a small point-and-shoot for my daughters and speed was the most important feature to me. Nothing is more frustrating than framing and focusing perfectly and then missing the shot due to shutter lag. In that department, this camera delivers in spades. Not only is it fast to power up and fast to focus, but there's also no noticible delay between focus lock and shutter fire. Video quality is outstanding too. The battery lasts surprisingly long considering how small the battery is and how big the LCD screen is. Professional reviews would lead you to believe that this camera has amazing capability in natural light due to it's high ISO speeds - don't believe them. Those guys are reading the side of the box. We have two of these cameras and both produce grainy photos, even with flash at all but ISO 64 (even ISO 100 is a bit grainy). Not a problem for us though, we just set the options to always force ISO 64 and force the flash to always. This results in better shots, but larger file sizes. To be fair, the Fuji software might correct some of this grainyness, I don't know - we just copy the .jpg files from the XD media directy to the PC with a card reader - I've never installed the Fuji software. All in all, I'm very satisfied for the price, which would have been better if XD memory weren't so expensive compared to SD.

I'd buy it again a million times over. It's simple to use and produces spectacular results from afar w/ the 18x zoom! Having the ability to use both image stabilization and face detection on every shot PLUS an additional option to customize your shot for the setting is a definite plus. The 3 continuous shot option is also fabulous for capturing high speed movements though I wish you could program it to default with the other settings. For the price and the quality of the results it's a fantastic buy!
