So far so good. I was using a 7 year old bottom end router. Over the years we have added electronics that use wifi. Currently we have 12 different items that use the wifi. The house is a 2 story 1600 square foot bi-level home and the router sits down stairs. After switching to this router I have not experienced any lag in gaming and both roku's don't stop for buffering. The range is excellent and the speed (both upload and download) are at what we are paying for. I would highly recommend this router to anyone with a lot of stuff in there house that uses wifi.

Huge Improvement Over Verizon Router
Even though I have Fios, my internet connectively was terrible. The issue was clearly the Verizon router (that I was stupidly renting from them) because when I connected directly via Ethernet cable, the speed was fantastic. It took some finagling as my ONT data port was for Coaxial only, so I had to call Verizon and get them to switch it over to Ethernet. But once I did that, the setup on this router took less than 5 minutes, and as you can see in the speed tests, this router is awesome. The test was run from a room away from the router with several other devices connected at the same time. Yay!!

Low End Mesh -- Limited Capabilities -- Good for small homes
This product was very disappointing. VERY LOW SPEEDS throughout the 4000 sq ft house (supposed to cover 5000 sq ft house). Positioned them in every different position imaginable, still low speeds with fast comcast connection. Comcast router was better than these 3 combined. Access Point functionality doesnt work, supposedly will with future updates.
Biggest Con: NO ABILITY TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PODS! Need one more pod to cover house, not able to purchase additional pods.
Will be returning for higher end mesh. This is unacceptable.

No Regrets
Hands down an amazing purchase.
I was using a 6 year old linksys e2500 router. My house is 2600 sq ft and I needed a repeater to even remotely use internet around my house. I upgraded to gigabit fiber internet, and the e2600 just wasn't cutting it. I was averaging 30-40mbps on wireless, and 70mbps wired.
But THIS new router!! oh my god.. this new router! First off, setup was the easiest I've ever encountered in a router. Literally just plug in, go to 192.168.0.1, and it detects everything for you and prompts for a new wifi name and password. And then you're just good to go! Configured pppoe for me as well.
As far as the speed difference:
For wireless, where i was getting 20-25 mbps, I'm now getting 160-180!! My wife even got 300mbps on her iPhoneX!
For wired, where I was getting 70-80 mbps, I'm now getting 200-230!!
Not only that, but I don't even need my repeater anymore! The range on this thing is incredible! full house Wifi!

GREAT D-Link router!
I was a little worried about this router (AC2600) after reading some reviews. I have stuck by D-Link products and sole use them if I can and this router has been the best D-Link router I have ever used. It was time to upgrade from my previous D-Link router since it reached end of life and this was a no brainer. It has never caused any connectivity issues, is solid as a rock, and offers ridiculously blazing fast throughput. I have read others state that the configuration settings have been pared down but for me, that is a good thing! The previous D-Link settings were so vast that the configurations were endless and if one small setting screwed everything up, it was a nightmare to troubleshoot and often meant I would need to reset and start over. I like the interface and again cannot stress how little I have to think about or maintain this router. It just works and works well!

Good router at the price point
I've been using a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 since Oct 2013. It has worked perfectly fine for the past 5+ years. Before that I had a D-link DGL-4300 for 6 years. So I thought maybe it's time for an upgrade to something newer. I didn't want to spend $300 on the Netgear router with the DumaOS so I had been looking at alternatives. I saw the D-link EXO AC2600 on sale a couple of weeks ago for $90 and after reading as many reviews on it as I could find on it, I took the plunge. Super easy to setup, very simple interface, good wireless range. A lot of the settings were in fact almost the same as what the DGL-4300 had in 2013. But compared to the Netgear Nighthawk, it is very limited on options if you are the type that likes to have options.
Pros:
Wireless devices connect very quickly
Qos seems to be working well (at least better than it did on the nighthawk)
When you make setting changes, it takes 35 secs or less to restart.
It's lightweight and does not get very hot. (mine is in a utility closet)
Getting full bandwidth I am paying for (150 Mbps / 10Mbps)
Cons:
No wireless network options to really choose from at all. You don't have the option for a separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks.
Older device such as an IPad gen 4 keeps disconnecting from the router. Had to make a guest network at 2.4 ghz to keep it connected.
IPV6 does not work with my cable Internet provider. (it worked with the Nighthawk R7000)
Very few options in the settings for people who like to have options.
D-link does not seem to update their firmware very often unlike Netgear. (Been out for over year and half now)
Conclusion: The D-Link Exo AC2600 router is currently selling for $130. For most people, that is a good bang for buck price compared to many competing routers out there. But I would advise anyone with many older wireless devices to maybe stay away from this router.

Bad latency problems
I had the house covered pretty well with a standard router. One range extender and we were good to go. But the idea of getting rid of the range extender and having one network that covered everything was appealing so I tried this. And it was great - good signal everywhere with only one SSID. Except that the latency was terrible. If you asked alexa a question, she took so long to answer that you started to ask again. If you told alexa to turn on a light she would usually say "light not responding" and then sometimes the light would finally go on anyway. An hour on the phone with pitiful dlink tech support confirmed that my settings were correct (yea, it was connecting already), and also confirmed the device has no diagnostic or troubleshooting capability. You can't see what signal strength it is getting from devices. No way to see which puck a device is currently connected to, etc. No way to do anything. So, I switched back to the old router and alexa is happy again. This one is on the way back to Amazon.

Misleading or fraudulent description. Router USB ports now only support external drives up to 1TB
This router worked as advertised with an 8TB Elements external drive attached for six months. Suddenly after an automatic firmware upgrade the router stopped recognizing the USB drive. I spent at least two hours initially over several calls with technical support finally getting permission to request an RMA. The D-Link RMA process is the worst I’ve experienced with any tech company. The replacement router had the same issue out of the box. Another several calls with tech support going through the same diagnostics as before. Finally, they had me reformat the drive (which had over 4TB of data and took more than 12 hours) only to still have the same problem with the drive not recognized. The tech spoke to a senior tech and was told that the router now only supports drives up to 1TB which is almost useless. Nowhere is this disclosed in the Amazon description and I would not have purchased it had I known. Again, it worked fine for six months. I feel defrauded and will be filing a complaint with the CA consumer fraud division. I requested a refund and was denied. D-Link technical support is not only incompetent but possibly dishonest. The company cares nothing for customer service. Obviously I will never buy another D-Link product and buyers should beware of purchasing anything from this company.

Best Wifi I've had _ever_
I upgrade my network equipment on a fairly regular basis as new tech comes out and as the amount of connected stuff I have in my large household increases. I am a developer who works at home, I've got a large number of devices, NAS, PCs, connected cameras, as well as a bunch of phones, tablets, audio, 2 smart tvs 2 game consoles, and a few other connected things. We also run a youtube channel, podcast, and stream. I upgraded from Netgear's comparable router to the D-Link, and my bandwidth doubled, and the MIMO/QOS functionality can be seen easily by running speedtest on multiple devices at the same time. The firmware and features of the D-Link are so much richer and nicer than the Netgear I may never go back. I never could get a netgear to give me an accurate list of connected devices, and the netgear's firmware was so slow. the D-Link gets it right every time, and the firmware is _fast_. The D-Link has been running for about a month straight now without any downtime, slowdowns, reboots or problems. It was very easy to set up (contrary to some of the other reviews online, but maby that is due to my experience level) Next upgrade is definitely going to be a D-Link.

Needs to reboot regularly
Yes, it crates an AC & BGN network. Unfortunately I have to reboot it on a regular basis to keep the networks up and running. I expected much more than this from D-Link. The unit has a 90 manufacturer warranty and its just past that date. Today I've reset it at least 10 times. I would like to blame it on Spectrum but it's the AP networks that disappear, not the Spectrum. Oh well ... guess I need to start looking for another one.

Quality product and easy setup.
So Far so good, Only reason I changed it was my second DR-655 was 4 years old Comcast doesn't support it anymore and D-Link finally sundowned it after 16 years as of July 1, 2018. Plus my throughput was not what I was paying for. Excellent throughput and easy setup and fairly good user interface. Used D-Link for years now and this one feed an older Gig, 5 port switch. All new Cat7 cables make a difference. Most impressed with the setup and throughput of the dual band Wifi and load handling. It runs a tad warm to me, so make sure it has ventilation. Be sure and register the product for support from D-Link if you need it.

Blazing fast
Just updated from the 868L. Blazing fast once you get the settings correct and that took some trial and error. (make sure you change the Wi-Fi channel if you get super slow speeds after set up) Was able to download a 20GB game while watching a movie on line without any issues buffering for the movie or a slower download rate for the game. Minus one star for having to go into the router management program to enable the 2.4 and 5Ghz every single time you have to reboot the router. Every. Single. Time.

Very disapointed.
I have been a D-link snob for many years. IE I would buy and recommend D-link over other brands whenever possible.
I was excited to receive this new router hoping to better our WiFi reception in our house.
I am very experienced with routers and how to configure them, and was very disappointed to find this router's interface was "Dumbed" down to the point of not being able to customize much of anything.
I have it connected, configured, and ready to use. Connected a tablet to the WiFi and it appeared to work well, but still did not reach to the other side of our house with any real strength (40' had 1 bar).
The next day the tablet would not connect, or even see the router WiFi. Even when it was 1 foot away from it!
I went thru the config on the router and all was as it was the day before.
Power cycled the router and the tablet immediately connected to it. The next day, again the tablet could not find the WiFi. Exact scenario as the previous day... Disabling and enabling the WiFi from the user interface did nothing. Power cycled the router and WiFi worked again... I checked for updates to the router software and it is using the newest release. The WiFi was just turning itself off every 24+- hours. There were no "power save" or other settings that would have turned the WiFi off.
The router is plugged into a power source along with other electronics, so I know the power source it OK. Switched the tablet back to use our really old D-Link DI-604 WiFi with 1 antenna and we still get 1 bar at 40' away. The DI-604 is still working to this day as it always has.
It is a sad day to see D-Link quality go down the drain. : (

Faulty out of the box
I ordered for this router after my previous machine failed beyond warranty. Right from day one I was not able to get wi-fi to work. Internet connection by cable to PC was working but even there, there were issues. For a long time I was wondering if it is a configuration issue as I was not expecting a brand new router to fail, and it was not easy to get an expert opinion to confirm the cause of the fault. Finally after repeated visits from my ISP technician it was confirmed that the router is defective on arrival. Sadly the Amazon return window was closed by then, now I'll have to take it up with the D-link service center.

Alien among WiFi Routers
I call it the alien 👽 among routers as it has 2 antennas and looks like a spaceship. I gave a 5 star for WiFi signal because if my service provider is at fault how can I blame the device? The booklet received with the product makes it easy to install without contacting tech support. Remember that if your signal is not strong enough the router is not to blame but, grab hold of the broadband service provider itself. It is currently supporting 3 products in my home which includes a laptop and 2 phones. Also remember that this router is built to support up to 5 devices and for domestic use only. If you are planning to use it for office you may have to think about a stronger and multiple device router instead of this one.

Amazon has been asking me to do so since last year so it's the very first review I am gonna leave for u all so that it's easier to get a slight idea about the product before buying. I mean we have some thick walls u can say made from British eras but still this one been working really well. This 2C one is really hard to set up if u don't have a prior idea about setting Wifi up and if u have broadband even before ur Router reaches to u then I would say go be ask for somebody who Is professional enough to fix it... Above all, it's been a really good experience with this router so it's recommended....

Pathetic experience.. Not working with Tikona and it's not Returnable.
This is pathetic product. If it's not working at your place, you can't return it. This is like making customers fool. I don't suggest anyone for this product. Initially I went for this product as i don't want to buy TP Link product which I realized a Chinese company. If seller or DLink correct their sales strategy, there are many customers like me who wants to buy other than Chinese product. Company needs to think about it.. This should have 'Hi Seller/Amezon, we want to return return the product..

New model, complicated setup.
This is the new updated DIR 615. Router setup IS NOT EASY to install. The old model was easy. Guidelines leaflet is not helpful. ACT has guidelines to setup the old model of the router, not this new one. Its almost as if China is taking revenge on us by making the setup complex!

Frequent wifi disconnection : Not good for WORK FROM HOME
This is waste product. Frequently wifi gets disconnected , Broadband connection is ACT which is 100% reliable but this WIFI router is crap product.
1. Frequent WIFI disconnects. How will you do official work if suddently WIFI disappears and you are disconnected from important meetings.
2. There is no way to return this product and get your money back. The only option is to get another product which would also be CRAPPY like this only.
3. This is outdated 2018 model for which production has stopped , no support , no way to update firmware as no support.
4. Ultimately even if you get for free don't take it if you really want to use this for WFH where you have to attend important meetings.
5. Seller and Amazon should stop selling these kind of products immediately as it effects at such a crucial time.

basic router that works. New hardware version
1. NEW VERSION: If router has 3 LED lights and has same color for all the ports on back. IT IS NEW VERSION, not old.
OLD VERSION: Amazon has "S" hardware version picture which is old and has more 7 led lights and different colored WAN and LAN ports. Product that is shipped is newer version "T3".
MISCONCEPTION: lot of people are thinking they got old version because the picture is different and are giving lesser rating.
2. If you have more than 100 MBPS connection, DO NOT BUY.
Input cable which is 100 MBPS max will never output more than 100 MBPS.
it supports Ethernet cable "10/100" which has max speed of 100 MBPS. For 300 MBPS you will need "10/100/1000" cable (gigabit Ethernet cable) which this does not support. Maybe wireless - to - wireless speed can be upto 300 MBPS.
3. Does not support 5Ghz band
Which is normal for routers at this price point.
4. CON: Cannot change Admin username. You can create many root users but there will always be a root user called Admin. which has security implications.

Awesome product and easy to setup...
When I bought the product, the images had not been updated and it showed the previous version of the D Link DIR 615, however the new one was delivered...but that's not an issue at all because this is a fantastic product! I am using this as a wirelss repeater and it is worling flawlessly. The setup interface has also been updated and it's very, very easy to use. Fully satisfied with both the seller and the product! Must buy!!
