My 2 year old Toshiba dual core lap top was very fast for general stuff but on games it just didnt cut it 2 gigs made a huge improvementI can play Tiger Woods Golf on it now and most war games,I put the old memory sticks 1 gig I took out in my wife's single core lap top and and she is tickled pink not much goes to waste around here. The whole job took 5 minutes each

The RAM arrived quickly and installed easily. Added RAM to my wife's laptop to handle the VISTA operating system. This RAM works flawlessly and was a great value for the price!

Bought it 4-5 months back cos my laptop came with a measly 1Gig of RAM. Has worked great so far. Never had any issues like memory dump or anything similar. I use hibernate and standby modes often and this works just fine. I am happy with the RAM

This was a no nonsense install for my Intel iMac. Remove all cables & flip over. Remove phillips screw attached to small cover plate and insert ram chip. Connect cover plate. Connect all cables. Done.I bought this ram to hopefully speed up things when running larger programs like Aperture. It surely did. For $46, it was money well spent.

I purchased this product to upgrade the memory in my Gateway Tablet PC CX2750. My computer had shipped with Windows Vista Home Premium with 1GB of Ram. For the past few months, i've had nothing but problems with Internet Explorer crashing and Yahoo Messenger not working. I started using Sidebar to view the memory usage and noticed that it was running extremely high. Approximately 85% of my memory was in use at any given time. When I bought this product, I expected a slight improvement in performance, but boy was I wrong. With 2gb, my problems have gone away.

This was the best priced RAM on the internet. I was skeptical but bought it anyway. For Less than $50.00 I changed the way I use my computer. From 512MB to 2GB, my computer runs like a fine tuned race car. My multi tasking and internet are smoother and faster and my joy is returned to surfing. I installed the memory in less than one minute, but if you are hesitant I am sure a local computer store will do the job for less than $20.00. Still a bargain, I am happy and satisfied with my Crucial memory and the Amazon experience was beyond words. My package arrived two days ahead of expected delivery. Thank you Crucial and Amazon.

I purchased this product from Amazon and it was shipped in 2 hours.You need to make sure you follow these steps before you purchase additional memory, otherwise you may landup purchasing an incompatible RAM.1. Go to the corsair website.2. Select memory configurator on the top right side.3. Select Laptop and then the brand.4. Then enter the model (normally found at the bottom of the laptop).5. If asked for a chipset along with the model, then right click on My computer -> Properties -> hardware -> device manager.6. Make it a point to open your laptop covering above your RAM and check the RAM model.7. Do not trust your manufacturer manual. In my case, it was mentioned chipset 943 and RAM PC2-4200. After performing steps 5 & 6, I noticed my chipset was 945 and RAM PC2-5300.8. Step 6 is also important, because you will have an idea about the available slots. In my case I had to increase from 1GB to 2GB. But I had 2 slots covered with 512MB each. So I had to purchase 2 * 1 GB.Hope this review was helpful.

Package is poorly packed, the RAM are flying all over the place! When I opened the box, the RAM is just all over the place inside the box, nothing is really secured to hold the RAM in place. I was afraid RAM might be damaged during shipment, after it is tested, it was working fine. What a relief!!!

The price on this memory set was low enough that I replaced both chips, despite having a 1gig on board already. The increase in memory produces a smoother operation with significantly less hard drive activity. Nice.

I would highly recoomend this product. My dell e1505 had some serious issues when it came to running vista with 1 gb of ram, but the second I upgraded it started running a hundred times better with just the extra gb of ram. Ya! No more white screen of death!

I have a 24" iMac that came with 1Gig of memory. After using it for about 3 months I discover applications that crash for reasons unknown after an upgrade to the OSX Tiger upgrade. I concluded after looking into the problem that OSX has a problem with memory management. When all the memory gets used up by either leaky programs or a fault in the OS, applications get flaky. So I've increased my memory to 4Gig. Now the applications aren't crashing. So this was my fix for a bigger problem nobody seems to understand. The memory took 5 mins to install and worked perfectly. And it seemed incredibly well priced.

Was debating between buying RAM here or at Crucial till I found out this Amazon RAM was through Crucial. That mean I could apply my rewards!My first shipment the RAM packaging in the container was not sealed to the 2 GB chips bounced around the box all the way here. They did not work.But one RMA and exchange later another shipment arrived everything was up and running. The ordeal took about 2 days.

I got this set to upgrade the memory in my laptop with which I run Windows Vista Home Premium edition. What an awesome change. I don't have to reboot every day and applications start MUCH faster. I use Photoshop a lot and it is so much faster.I highly recommend this upgrade if it is compatible with your computer. Money well spent!!

I was very satisfied with my purchase. VERY DISAPPOINTED with how long it took to be sent to me. I checked the progress of the shipping daily and it seriously took 9 days for this package to travel less than 20 miles to my house. It would have been faster if I just drove there and picked it up from the facility myself!!!!! Never have I been so disappointed shopping on Amazon!!!!!!

When I first saw the page for this RAM, I was little bit wary. 2 GB RAM stick for only $45 (plus S & H)? Luckily, I ordered two for my 13.3" 2.2 GHZ MacBook (Santa Rosa) to max it out at 4 GB. It arrived promptly and my friend installed it for me in like two minutes. It's quite an easy process and it is possible for you to do it yourself. I just wanted to be safe. As soon as I turned on my computer, it recognized and has been speeding ever since. I've had numerous windows on the same desktop and it hasn't even stuttered. So make it worth your while and get 4 GB of RAM for about $100, which is just a fraction of the price Apple sells it at. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!

Though I've had good luck with Crucial RAM modules when upgrading other laptops in the past, this 2GB set did not work for my Toshiba Satellite A205-S5804 even though the specs matched perfectly. I tried updating the bios but my *new* laptop would still not recognize them. I then took my laptop to a local retailer to see where the problem lay. He couldn't figure it out, but he placed two Kingston modules with the same specs in my computer and there was no problem. Is it possible that I got a dud? I'm not sure...If you have a Toshiba in this series, though, you may want to contact Crucial to make sure that their modules will work properly in your laptop.

When I first landed on this product's page, I thought that either the price was wrong or that the product was not up to par. Well, I can now tell you that I was way off and that both the price and the product rock! Prior to buying the product, I did some research regarding whether I could install this particular chip on my Macbook; lucky for me it was a match made in heaven!The installation process was a breeze and the difference in speed and performance was simply mind-blowing! i look forward to buying more RAM from Crucial and hopefully I'll find a 4 GB chip for my Macbook Pro... either that or I'll just have to buy two 2Gb sticks!Updated December 3rd, 2009Well, after a year or so I decided it was time to pimp my MB Pro once more so I went with the obvious choice: Crucial! I now have 2 2GB sticks from Crucial and performance is excellent. I recommend these sticks to anyone looking for great prices and excellent performance.

The chips I ordered say Samsung on them. I'm not sure if that's normal or not, but either way it works the way I need it to and I haven't had any problems at all. The price makes this RAM an awesome buy.
