I bought this 2GB of memory to replace the 1GB that came with my laptop running Vista. Having this extra memory has really improved the way the laptop runs (faster). I am very please with the results of this upgrade, and the memory was very inexpensive here at Amazon. Wish I had done this a year ago.

It was shipped on time, took about 5 minutes to unbox and install, and when I started my notebook up; I immediately noticed a difference in performance. The startup time was drastically shortened.An excellent buy for someone looking to improve system performance!

I purchased two of these 2GB RAM cards to upgrade my Macbook Pro. I recently started using Aperture to sort and edit around 10,000 Raw images. The upgrade from 2-4GB has dramatically improved the function of my MBP while using this rather demanding program. This is an extremely good value.

This is a great DDR2 RAM upgrade for the Dell Mini 9 netbook. Runs cooler than others and when running at the Dell's FSB speed of 533MHz, my memory stick clocks in at 4-4-4-12. I am very happy with Crucial and the recent prices cannot be beat.

If you buy a Samsung N-10, you have to have this little bugger. It takes a novice only 1 minute to install and really speeds up the system.

This pair of RAM is basically same as others but only company varies. It worked...that's all the matters. Also, was packed nicely and securely. What's best about this pair of RAMs is that the price was really good. ...Crucial is also a big company and you can buy their products with confident.

I bought two of these to upgrade the RAM in my iMac. Had some issues at first, but after pulling out each stick and ensuring that it was fully seated, it works great. Much cheaper than RAM purchased from Apple.

Purchased this product to upgrade my Vista laptop that I purchased in October 2007 (it's a Gateway MX 8739 sold in retail outlets like Best Buy) and the memory worked perfectly. No problems installing - just unscrew the memory bay cover, pop out the old memory, and slid the new memory in - and Vista had no troubles recognizing the new memory.

I ordered this because I was having file corruption issues and during the fix the tech told me my machine was running way too slow - a virtually new Dell running Vista with 1GB RAM. Supposedly Vista only requires 512MB but the tech laughed and said it eats 1GB routinely. So I ordered up the 2GB Crucial chipset. They slid right in, the computer recognized them, and we were off to the races. Much, much better. Web pages fill 3x faster, multitasking programs snap back and forth with authority and (I swear) I lost a couple of extra pounds and some of my hair grew back in. Amazing. It still takes too long to boot Vista, but throwing another 2 gigs at Vista is like hooking up 2 more tugboats to the Titanic. It helps, but not much. Not a total fix, but much recommended.

I bought this to help my old dell inspiron 6000 (originally had 500M). This was a breeze to install and for such a low price was a huge benefit. I can now have 2 users logged in at the same time and switch between them much faster (Even with Firefox's memory leaks)

I upgraded my four year old Dell Inspiron 6000 from 1GB of RAM (2 512 modules) to 2GB after my PC slowed to a crawl. I'm a web designer/developer and run a few memory intensive programs at the same time (Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver, Firefox with tons of Add-ons and tabs open, Eclipse, Tomcat, etc.) The upgrade definitely helped boost system performance. Although I'm due for a system upgrade, I can't afford to shell out more than a grand for a decent system. The memory upgrade was good enough to lessen my frustration and it will hopefully get me through to next year when I'll be able to buy a new laptop.

If you are looking to upgrade your 512MB MacBook, this one is perfect. It matches Apple's specs for a MacBook. I installed it in a couple of minutes. I can see the difference when running memory-intensive apps like Photoshop. The only downside, and this is not Crucial's fault, is that the old 512MB is now useless. Apple recommends using both memory slots and putting same sized RAM in both, as stated in their support website.As a side note, the white residue on the old memory is nothing to worry about.

The RAM was individually packaged well and shipped in pristine condition. The RAM swap added the speed that I was expecting and works very well with my Gateway laptop. Very good RAM.

...if putting in 2GB module in eee pc 1000 you need to restart computer after installing the RAM and keep pressing F2. then press F10 to accept the settings in the BIOS. now your eee pc will recognize the 2 GB module yeah,.. plug and play... rightpeace, scott

I have installed several of these. I have upgraded a MacBook Pro & two iMacs with these. They have improved the performance a lot. Also this is a much cheaper solution than buying memory thought Apple. I have no complaints here

What can I say about memory? Usually it works or it doesn't, and this works fantastic.I upgraded my MacBook from 1GB to 2GB of RAM. DVD-Ripping Time has literally been cut in half. When doing basic things I really don't see a speed improvement. The speed improvement comes when I am running iMovie, iDVD and iTunes all at the same time. That's when 2GB really comes in handy.
