This is a kit with 2 matched sticks of 1gb ram, not just one single stick as stated by another reviewer. To get the most of your ddr2 memory upgrade always purchase and install a matched set. Crucial has been known for high quality, stable products and these are no exception. With a lifetime warrenty and free customer service you can't go wrong. I had a before purchase question. Crucial's customer service answered my question promptly and professionally.My application: HP Pavilion a1730n, AMD Athalon dual core 4600+, and Vista Home Premium. The memory sticks installed easily and were recognized instantly. By upping my installed ram to 4gb there is a marked improvement, especially under high load conditions. I enjoy an online Virtual Reality 3D Community and even with a high performance graphics card my system would bog now and then. The extra 2 gigs of ram has helped boost overall performance.

I just installed it on a brand new Asus EEE PC 1000HE and works as expected, the bios recognized it right way after the F4, F10 process.

All I can say is that the memory worked without a hitch - popped it in, started the netbook, visited the setup utility and saved the newly automatically recognized 2GBs . . . voila.

I purchased this kit of two 1GB sticks so that I could upgrade two Acer Aspire One netbooks. They work great. Crucial makes nice memory. I've never had issues with their products.

Great memory mod. Easy to install. Using it in my Samsung NC-10 netbook and having no problems. The price was great too. Some of these memory modules are going for upwards of $[...] bucks regular retail. This was less than half of that.

I have installed one of these 2GB Crucial RAMs on both my 20" Apple iMac Core 2 Duo T7700 (with 256MB ATI 2600XT graphics) giving a total of 3GB RAM and on my HP 14" notebook with an Intel 965 chipset (with a 256MB nVidia mobile 8000 series graphics card) also totaling 3GB of RAM. I also use Windows Vista on the iMac using Apple Bootcamp (separate partition and NOT virtual PC).Both MAC OS X Tiger and Leopard work really fast on it (way better than 1GB of RAM), Leopard being a little heavier on the memory. As for Windows, Windows XP just explodes on power with this chip and Windows Vista becomes about 2X-3X faster.Most games for Mac don't require much memory anyways, but Windows games like NFS ProStreet, Gears of War, Crysis and Call of Duty 4 work a lot faster, specially because excess memory is available for graphics use.Video editing and Photo editing become noticeably quicker, while audio editing doesn't show much appreciable improvement.In general, multi-tasking becomes a breeze. In fact, there is a lot of excess memory available (even after allotting memory for graphics) to run an Anti-Virus, 2 Messengers, Outlook, Firefox, an HD Movie and Gears Of War paused in the background. I'm not kidding, I've tried it, they were all working smoothly.Note: It is fully compatibly with Apple iMac!! Apple will tell you that only the original Apple memory, which costs a fortune, will work BUT THEY ARE WRONG! I have been using it for the past approx. 6 months.WORTH THE MONEY!! Must Buy!! 5 - Stars!

Purchased and installed in a brand new Samsung NC10-14GB, increased the speed dramatically - very pleased. Would definately recommend as an inexpensive update to your netbook. Just unscrew the back where memory is indicated and replace the 1GB with a 2GB.

Chips arrived sooner than expected. Installed easily. My computer has new life. I am now surfing much faster and with no hour glasses. My suggestion is to load your computer with all the memory that it can handle.

great additon to the Samsun NC10.it wont make your netbook blazzing fast, but you will notice a considerable difference. I also added a 320gb 7200rpm harddrive from newegg. and tweeked win xp.

Great value! I have bought RAM from Crucial before and have never had a problem. This installed quickly and easily (kudos to Apple Computers). I priced this direct from Apple's site at $300 and paid only $45 here!

I bought this to replace the 1GB RAM in my new Samsung NC10. Works perfectly. The netbook's speed was good with only the 1GB, but the 2GB makes it very quick.

Excellent value for money, bought two for my HP dv6736nr.It seams that this memory matches the following spec: 667MHz, 200-pin, PC2-5300, SDRAM Small Outline Dual In-Line Memory Module (SODIMM).Did you check your RAM memory modules specifications already? Does it match the above specs? keep in mind that it will only work on a laptop, but NOT just any laptop.It may be that you have to buy a pair, instead of a single module depending on what you want, and what you need.Again: check your specs!

Compare these prices with those of a year or two ago, or for that matter with the same memory at Apple Store. These boards from Crucial are a mere fraction of the cost and are assembled in America to boot! (The ones installed by Apple are Korean.) Even if you have someone else do the installation, this is as safe and sensible a purchase as you're likely to make.Advantages: 1. Low-cost doubling of your computer's memory. 2. They fit my 13" Macbook (midsummer '07 edition). 3. The computer instantly saw them.Potential negatives: 1. Unlike an iMac or Mac desktop, which has just one cache to fill, the Mac notebook size requires purchasing two circuit boards and throwing out the old ones. 2. These gave me just a bit more trouble than previous installations of memory for an iBook. Desk-top installations are a cinch, but with the nano spaces of the Macbook it helps to have good light along with a jeweler's tools, eyes and hand coordination (one of the mite-sized screws refused to come out, and then another objected to going back in, making it an hour-long project).Is there an immediate, dramatic difference in speed and efficiency? I didn't even notice dramatic improvement after installing the latest Airport Extreme with "n" protocol, despite Apple's claims of quadrupling internet speed. With some of these things, it's the thought that counts.

The Crucial Memory 'stick' worked fine on the Intel Apple Imac and increased its speed and efficiency. The service from Crucial was excellent apart from one of their abrupt employees re an email. I had to go indirectly and use Amazon and not the direct approach to the Crucial Sales Company. I advise everyone to do the same. Use Amazon.wilcobb
