I ordered this product to upgrade the memory in my Sony VAIO. Through Amazon Prime, I received my order within a day. The memory was simple to install and now my laptop runs much faster than it did before. I have no complaints about this purchase thus far.

I purchased two 1 gig mem sticks. I had no problem with installation, and I am no expert. After 4 months my computer stopped starting. I took the computer to an Appel store. they determined that one of the memory sticks has gone bad and is preventing the computer to re-start. it was removed and all is well now, less 1 gig I paid for.

First when I install these 2pcs 1GB memories at the same time to my laptop(HP Pavillion),My laptop didn't recognize them, I got upset,why... and then I pulled off one pc 1GB memory and put backone pc old memory(256MB), then laptop recognized it. After that, I switched the old memory with the other1GB memory, restarted the computer with no problem, laptop showed 2GB RAM.My point is when you have problem installing memory, you should try install 1pc with old memory.In the end it worked out perfect.

Decided to upgrade ram when the hard drive crashed. I figured the price for the ram and the double amount of ram that I was upgrading to was worth it. I also replaced a crashed hard drive and this ram at the same time. The ram is a great value and good quality. Buy it!

I am a first-time owner of a netbook and so this is also my first time buying a 2gb memory ram to upgrade my netbook. I ordered this module after seeing a lot of pleasant reviews about this, and people have been saying it works for the ASUS 1005HA, so I took a gamble and purchased this for $45.It arrived the same day with my netbook, but I did not open it until I got access to a Philips Screwdriver. (Best Buy charges $50 to do it themselves, rip off!)I carefully put in the ram and I made sure the ram is installed correctly. I turned on my 1005PE-MU17 and... IT DID NOT RECOGNIZE IT! It still says 1.00 Memory, 1024 MB of ram!I prematurely thought, "My goodness! This isn't compatible!" I shut down and reinstalled the ram again , but it still won't recognize it!I considered returning this item until I researched more on installing ram on the internet. It mentions pressing F2 on startup to access BIOS. After doing the steps it told me, my computer recognized the ram!STEPS:1. Turn on your 1005PE-MU17, and tap F2 multiple times to get to BIOS2. Using right arrow key, move to the BOOT tab, and disable the Boot Booster.3. Save changes and exit.4. Once on log in screen, shut down.5. Remove Battery and proceed to install the 2GB Crucial 2gb ram.6. Close the lid, put back battery.7. Repeat Step 18. Now you should see your memory say "2048 MB" (2gb)9. Go back to BOOT tab and enable the Boot Booster.10. Save changes, and LIFE IS GOOD. You done it!My computer now recognizes the 2gb memory and now I will not return this item. IF you had doubts on this product, stop and be rest assured, this is compatible with the EEE PC 1005 line ! Hope this helps.

I received this and replaced my 1GB of flash memory on my new Toshiba N505 Netbook the day I received the netbook, as I wanted to upgrade it to the max memory (2GB) It was easy to install, and crucial is great memory and now my computer is faster. Great product!

I installed the chip quite easily into my Asus Eee 1015 netbook. But after the installation, I began experiencing problems with turning off the computer in Windows 8: it reboots instead of shutdown and freezes (with screen turned off, but power indicators on) instead of hybernating. Installing latest OS updates etc. didn't help.

These memory chips are working great on my HP DV6000 laptop. I upgraded from the 1 gig to 2 gig chips and the resulting improvement in speed is outstanding. Should have done this 2 years ago!

I was considering buying a new laptop before I made this quick, cheap, and easy fix. I own a Dell Inspiron 1501 (purchased in 2007) and it had been running slower and slower over the past few years. Learned that it had only 512 mb of RAM installed, but it had the ability to hold 2 GB. Found this set of Crucial for a great price, and after about 5 minutes of removing my old RAM and popping in these bad boys, my laptop runs as fast as they day I bought it! (It also didn't hurt that I defragged my hard drive and ran CCleaner). If your laptop is compatible with this set, do yourself a favor; buy them!

I bought two 2G memory sticks for my laptop upgration. I got them very quickly. After I installed in my laptop, I found the mainboard in my laptop can only recognice about 3G. So the product is good, but you need to figure out if yhe platform is compatible.

I got this 2BG memory module for my new Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-Inch Blue Netbook even though it is not the one that Amazon suggested when I ordered my notebook. I just want to say that it works great but was tricky for me to install (this was the first time I ever installed memory).Two parts of the installation were tricky for me. One was getting the cover off (and back on) the bottom of the notebook (which allows you to access where the memory goes). That is after you've unscrewed the little screw. That is because it does not 'snap' out (or back in) easily but has to be flexed/forced slightly so the two little 'nibs' on the long sides are both in place. Others mention this difficulty in their reviews.The other thing I had difficulty with was getting the memory module to 'seat' into the correct position so that it was snug and contact was properly established between the module and the receptors for the 200 pins. At first I didn't properly pull apart the two small clamps on either side of the module that allow the module to be slid in all the way. When properly seated, these two clamps should be flush with the two ends of the module, and the module should be all the way 'down' into its slot. It would had helped if I had paid more attention to how the 1GB unit I was replacing was seated before I took it out, but I didn't.This sounds all sounds more complicated than it was but it was the first time I had tried to do anything 'hardware-y' by myself. Without the other Amazon reviews, I would not have had the confidence to try this myself. I also found a you-tube video showing how to do it.Anyway, once correctly installed, my notebook works great and I can confirm that this 'stick' works with the Samsung NC10 netbook.The four-star rating is really for my own inexperience. Once installed, it works great, and I love this little machine, which I use to listen in bed to CSPAN videos and live radio for progressive channels we don't get on the airwaves out in the hinterlands of rural Minnesota. In fact, once wi-fi comes to these rural areas, I expect the politics will change in the heartland because all anyone can get now is Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and others conservatives like them. For other computing I use a Dell Inspiron.

I use it with toshiba netbook nb255 running Linux mint. It works fine but the nb slows down when hot. When running cool it's fast.

Crucial Technology memory was easy to install and works great on the Dell Mini 1012. If you are a Dell laptop or desktop user, you know how hard it is at times to match up third party memory on Dell computers because of chip timing and clock settings. Crucial stated that this memory chip will work on the Dell Mini 1012 and sure enough, it has worked just fine.

This Crucial "2gb Laptop Memory" has made a significant improvement in the performance of my ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-MU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 8.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter). I have upgraded several PCs with Crucial memory and have never been disappointed.Installation into my ASUS 1005HA was fairly straight forward, requiring opening the Memory Compartment on the bottom of the netbook, removing the pre-installed 1gb memory card, and inserting this Crucial 2gb memory card. My ASUS did not see the whole 2gb on boot up, so I rebooted while pressing F2 (to enter Configuration Mode), confirmed it saw the 2gb and pressed F10 (to Save and Exit). This was likely was caused by the ASUS fast boot setting and not specific to the new memory.This extra memory was definitely a worthwhile investment for me since I sometimes use the netbook for my work and need to have multiple applications running concurrently, something that was on occasional painfully slow before this upgrade.Highly Recommended!CFH

I have an iMac intel core duo 2006 and I checked with both Apple & Crucial to be certain I had the right item. Because, of course, the wrong thing would be devastating. It was perfect and my computer runs faster. The spinning ball was driving me crazy before I added the new memory.My only suggestion to others might be to back up your computer before starting and read the instructions carefully about how to install it & print them. I read them and tried to put it in when I was tired & it was late in the evening; didn't get it, panicked because now I couldn't reread the instructions at all (they're on the computer). Once I got one to seat correctly, I reread them and everything worked out fine. Stupid mistakes on my part.So, before installing, I remind you of the basics: RTM (Read The Manual) & Back it up (For safety's sake because "Thing's occur".).

My computer could barely support the speed of vista with the 1GB it came with. I had to go to windows classic display mode to get minor speed improvements and I still lagged. With the upgrade, you can instantly tell that there is an improvement. Very happy with the $25 I paid for it and the performance it gives.

Although Linux is far less resource hungry than Windows, I decided to bump the memory of my Acer AA1 netbook from 1gb to 2gb if the price of a new memory module was "right". Other reviews suggested that the Crucial 2gb DIMM was compatible, and it is. There isn't much to review about a DIMM; either it works, or it doesn't. Overall performance is not significantly different, but far more data can be cached, which speeds up performance over time, and using swap (which slowed the netbook to a crawl) is a thing of the past. Combined with a 32gb SSD, the AA1 performs like a much higher spec. machine, while still preserving its virtues of small size and light weight.As always with Amazon, actual delivery time bettered estimated delivery time. Due to good prices and selection, Amazon has become my default choice for electronics/computer purchases.

I have both the 2GB and 4GB Crucial Memory Modules installed in my Zino HD (Dell 400) PC.It took about a minute or two to install the Memory Module. I started with 2GB, then 3GB, then 4GB modules and finally 6GB memory module. Every installation was trouble free. I currently run 2GB Crucial Memory Module with a 4GB Memory Module and it works great especially with the virtual machine (Virtualbox by Oracle.) I use about 75% of my RAM and 75% CPU when I run PC-BSD in the Virtualbox inside the Xubuntu Operating system which is a Ubuntu Distribution. I also dual boot my Zino HD with Microsoft Windows Vista (Home Basic) and the Zino HD works great with this memory combination. My PC was shipped to me with two different brand named memory modules by Dell; but now I use just Crucial Memory Modules. It took longer to get the RAM stick out of the package than to install it into the PC.

What can you say about RAM Modules added to a Atom powered NetBook ? It worked / was exceptionally easy to install into an Asus EeePC / booted right up / appears to have given my system the boost in speed I would expect. In terms of the RAM Memory, I'm a satisfied customer.I wish I could say the same about Amazon's service.... it was the WORST I have ever experienced since becoming an Amazon customer many years ago. (FYI... Amazon was the seller of these RAM chips... not some "third party"). Delivery took nearly 2 weeks from the time I ordered the chips. / the online tracking never worked / the amount of packaging used to ship such a simple part was ridiculous.In the future, I'll stick with NewEgg.com and TigerDirect.com. Both are significantly more customer focused than Amazon.com has become.
