Bought this for Acer Aspire One D255 and works great. Had to take the keyboard off to install, popped it right in and that's it. Makes a cheap netbook stable.

This product already has a ton of glowing reviews, so I have nothing to add, really. I'm not crazy about the packaging (nice to have the extra slot to put your old memory, though), but this was so easy to install. I think the whole process--from opening the package to turning on my netbook with the new memory--took less than five minutes. You definitely don't have to be any sort of computer expert to do this; just make sure your hands are clean and you touch something made of metal to get rid of any static flying around, just in case.

After reviewing the product's characteristics I purchased it, but it didn't perform as expected when installed in my notebook. When I consulted the manufacturer, I received comments such as: "yes, this is the right part for your system"; ""you might need the faster memory - PC2-6400". After reviewing the old part number.". The purchased part is old and has been replaced by faster and more reliable 2MB RAM memory sticks.

I have previously used this product in other devices and had great service. I would recommend it to all of my computing friends. Thank you very much. Note: used this memory in an Apple note book computer Not a PC. I also have 3 other computers which don't have a Windows product installed - they have Linux instead. You might consider including "OTHER COMPUTER"

So, already owing a 1005HA at the time they said the 5300 was the best for this unit. I recently found a new old stock 1005HA and purchased a second one as a xmax gift. I popped on here a bit concerned that this module advertised may or may not work. Another fellow here wrote a review titled better that 5300. Man he was right. I installed the 6400 in the new 1005HA I just bought. It runs circles around my other one. Going to order another stick to replace my date stick (5300) in the other eec asus. what I found was smoother playback. faster boot time, overall better system response. And yes I know it a netbook not a notebook. But there was a pretty impressive differance consider I own the exact same model units. One with 5300 and now one with 6400.

I bought my MacBook in 2007, so it was becoming extremely slow and impossible to use this year. I purchased this RAM, replaced it myself in about 5 minutes, and voila! It has definitely extended my MacBook's life with me for a few more months. However, I'm constantly using CS5 and Rhino, so I'm planning on upgrading to a MBP very soon.

I used Crucial Technology's memory tool on their website that analyzes you PC and determines was memory it has and what it can take. This was an upgrade for a Netbook that came with 1GB memory. Some software requires 2GB so this was an excellent choice. INstallation was very easy and quick and with no problems.Windows 7 memory performance went to 4.4 on a scale of 1.0 to 7.9, respectable for a netbook. Very good value for the price.

This netbook runs with an AcerV1.12 Bios and Windows XP Home Edition, Version 5.1.2600, Service Pack 3.THE CRUCIAL MEMORY MODULE THAT I PURCHASED WAS ADVERTISED HERE ON AMAZON AS THE COMPATIBLE MEMORY UPGRADE FOR THIS NOTEBOOK. I purchased this memory for a Dell Vostro 1000. I really HATED the packaging! I had to fight to get the outer package open. Then the memory chips were practically buried in a stiff plastic internal package. I was really worried that I would break the memory chips before I could even use them. There were no instructions on how to properly open or remove them from the package. Crucial really needs to improve on how they package their products. Aside from the packaging, I was satisfied with the memory. Once I finally installed the memory in the laptop, it worked fine. Apparently I didn't ruin them while wrestling with them. I haven't had any problems. I ran all the Dell memory tests, and everything passed with flying colors.

My computer was moving at a snail's pace, it only had 500 MB of memory. Added the 2 GB of memory and now runs like a champ. It was a good price, cheaper than buying it from the manufacturer when I ordered the computer.

I'll start by saying I don't have any experience with computers. I received a toshiba netbook nb255-250 as a gift and realized that it wasn't going to function like my regular laptop. I did some research and discovered that I would only need to increase the RAM.I purchased this memory module because of its popularity and of course, compatibility with my machine. I found an easy to follow tutorial online and within minutes I successfully upgraded my RAM.Good product and easy to use.

Purchased this Crucial memory upgrade for the ASUS netbook in order to increase processing speed and as first step to upgrade operating system from xp to Win7. The memory card installation was easy enough just remember to reboot correctly following install to allow Netbook to recognize the new memory. Once upgraded to Win7 the Netbook boots faster, processes more rapidly, and the display seems brighter and is much easier on the eyes.

I have an HP laptop that's a few years old, and its maddening how slow it's gotten. I don't keep any photos/music etc on the computer so I can keep my hard drive uncluttered, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference. I like to do photo editing, but it's become tedious because of the computer's speed.I've previously opened up my laptop and reseated my RAM before, so I was familiar with it's location. Other then that, I'm just a girl who's somewhat tech savvy, but no genius by any means. I think almost anyone could easily upgrade their RAM on a laptop or netbook.I removed my battery, grounded myself so there was no static issues and then popped out my old RAM(I was at 1GB before) and inserted the new 2 GB of RAM. Restarted my computer and it was up and running. Nothing else to do or change, and my computer is much faster and has a better response time overall. I'm happy I finally just bought the darn RAM, now using my laptop can be fun instead of an aggravation!

This product is great. More performance than I had hoped for and they light up with LEDs!! I was not even interested in the LED feature at the time of purchase. I am going to buy another pair for the second DIMM channel on my ASUS motherboard for sure.

The extra 1 Gigabyte module has allowed for totally ultra supreme horsepower. If my computer had wheels it would be able to ramp gigantic portions of missing interstate. Do not attempt to grow a brain and go without this RAM module. Order today.

This RAM is compatible with Window 7. It is easy to install. However, I do not see much speed change on my laptop. Its speed still same as prior installation the new RAM. I don't know why. It sounds like even I do not add more RAM on my laptop, it's still work fine.Moreover, I love shipping. It's very fast. I am really appreciated.

Knew this would be a snap to install, just pop open the bottom door, removed the old RAM module (which had failed on me a few weeks after I installed it), and installed the Crucial RAM module. No error upon startup, and the system was back to doing what I needed when I needed it. These Dell Mini's can be a little picky about RAM, I'd replaced the 512MB module earlier with some Corsair ValueSelect and while it did work for a few weeks eventually the Corsair RAM failed on me. It'd boot the system, but would lock up and shutdown automatically after a BSOD. Figured it was the RAM, because the 512MB original RAM still worked, thankfully I was right (dreaded the notion of having to replace the mobo, although I've done that previously - it was a cost factor I didn't want to have to contend with).In summary:Good RAM, suitable for the Dell Mini 910 model.
