I've been a customer of Crucial for well over 7 years. I used their RAM in mac minis, MacBooks, iMacs and even recommended it to friend's for their iBooks - you name it. this particular module is running in the iMac I'm using right now and it's running along side another module I bought a year ago and is working just fine (knock on wood :)

My girlfriend's laptop was getting sluggish while running app's. I knew by installing RAM Memory would really help. I went to crucial.com and used their Crucial Memory Advisor(tm) Tool, which reads your system and tells you what type of memory/amount is currently installed and and gives you a better recommendation how much can be installed. I then went to Amazon.com and found a good price on replacement RAM.

Ok, so first of all, a lot of these reviews seem pointless and it took me a long time to decide to get one for my Asus 1005HA-PU-1X-BK (the 10.5 hour battery life model). The type of review I was looking for and haven't seen except for maybe 2 or 3 is a review on the difference between 1GB and 2GB for your netbook (I mean, obviously recommended ram will work and install, the point in deciding to purchase this is to see if there will be a difference from what you have now). Normally, my netbook was working fine, and I installed Windows 7. I would notice things slowed down when I tried to multitask, watch a video, or load a facebook app. Once I installed the new memory, there seemed to be less lag when multiple programs were running. Last night I was online with Chrome, 2 Word documents open, powerpoint, 2 file folders, and iTunes listening to streaming radio at a coffee shop, on the windows power saver setting and the super hybrid engine battery mode setting. I noticed things ran smooth, even watching a couple of videos on youtube. Everything seemed smoother than before. Is the change dramatic? No. Is the change there though? Yes. My Office is 2003 Enterprise, so you might notice things smoother if you're trying to run Office 2007 (it takes up so much ram like Open Office so it might be noticeable there). Installation involves a screwdriver and literally 2 minutes out of your life even if you're slow and careful and ground yourself first. Amazon packaged it well and it arrived safe and fast.Bottom line - my netbook is becoming my "laptop" and my laptop stays at home at my desk. I take my netbook to class and to coffee shops to study and usually need a couple of programs open and I tend to concentrate better with music. If you just use your netbook for browsing the internet and e-mail, you would probably not notice a difference. If you watch videos and listen to music while you run Office and browse online, you would probably benefit from the added memory. Even a facebook app on its own was a little faster and resembled the speed on a normal laptop on battery mode. If you know you will be using your netbook more and more (and I think it's only natural when you realize how great they are for portability and function) then you might as well get the memory. Hope that helps to make an informed decision.

Upgraded an ACER Travelmate 4220 from 512mb to 2gb. Also removed windows XP and loaded Ubuntu 10.01.. All the difference in the world. System is responsive and no longer hangs up while windows features load. Know that the OS change is relevant, but still the speed and response with the ram upgrade is significant. Installation was a snap... Turned the laptop over; removed 7 small screws. Removed the panel covering the ram area on the motherboard. Un-clipped two ram sticks; opened the package from crucial and put the two 1gb chips in. No muss, no fuss. Hardest part was remembering to put the small screws into a saucer so I wouldn't lose them. Have been down that road in the past.Shipment from Amazon was a major hassle. Took a week to get from a post-office 600 miles away to my local PO. Somehow FEDEX was involved with the post office... two heads may not be better than one.Excellent Product... Delivery scheme leaves something to be desired.

I bought this RAM to upgrade my XP netbook, hoping it would make a drastic improvement in performance. I'm no circuit nut, but the only time I noticed a difference was how quickly my devices would sync while browsing the web. As an experiment, I put this in another netbook running 7 and the difference was much greater, from better multitasking to faster boot up times, that extra 1 GB was all it needed. I gave them the new 2GB RAM, and put my 1GB RAM back into my system.

I purchased this memory to upgrade my 1.5GHz Intel Mac Mini. I was able to install it myself at a fraction of the cost Apple would have charged, and my computer is running great once again. The labeling is slightly different from what is listed on Crucial's website, but it is the same memory they recommend for the Mini. My wife was happy I had a project to occupy my time for a little while as well!

I have an older (2006) White Macbook which came with 512mb of total ram. Those looking to run Apples new software, snow leopard are unable due to the insufficient amount of ram (requires 1 GB). With only one usable review of this product, I figured I'd give it a shot based on the price. Easy to install, and your done. At first I was extremely skeptical, thinking I would have to disassemble the entire computer to get access to the memory. With the simple action of taking out the battery and removing a metal strip (3 screws), pop out the existing memory and replacing with the new, I now have 2GB of ram, just by turning on the computer. No installs or configuration, its good to go. Now able to download the new software, and no issues thus far. Its only been a day, but everything is running smooth and fast. I would certainly recommend this product for older Macbook users.

The Dell netbook was starting to really drag under Win7 with only 1GB memory and the wife was starting to get frustrated with it. Upgrading to 2GB sped up the unit nicely and wife was very happy. No problems with this memory after a month of usage.

Installed on Inspiron Desktop. It *really* needed more memory (running Vista Home 32-bit). Added 2 GB (making a total of 3 GB). Installation was a snap. I have a computer again!! Speed is great! AND I love the Crucial reliability. A very good product!

Ram arrived extremely quickly. As always, Apple RAM installation was simple and the computer is now snapper. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade an older iMac.

My poor old MacBook spent all its life with only 1 GB of ram. It was very fast when I first bought it, but over time has slowed down and programs have become beefier over time, requiring more RAM to run smoothly. I thought for a long time about updating my MacBook, but the thing was, I couldn't justify spending $60 on it when I have a powerful 1 year old PC. When I found out that Amazon.com had 2 gigs, double the current ram, for such a low price I couldn't say no. I'm happy I made the purchase, as it has improved performance greatly. I still use my MacBook quite often when I travel or go to classes at my university. I'm even writing this review on it!

Bought the 2 gig stick for my Toshiba NB505 -N508BL netbook. Simple installation, just follow the directions. I've bought Crucial memory for years and have never had a problem with it...if buying for the NB505 make sure if your machine uses DDR2 or DDR3...turn it over and look at the label on the bottom. If it takes DDR3 there will be a "3" in the top right corner, if not it uses a DDR2 memory stick. Log onto Crucial.com and let them check your machine if not sure...Crucial will tell you the correct memory stick for it.

My computer has been working so much better since I switched my RAM. I have the hp dv4275nr notebook computer that I purchased in the spring of 2006. I think the original RAM had only 512MB. My computer would often freeze for 30 seconds or one minute, especially when I had few tabs open. I could not use many programs at once. I deleted all my files, re-installed windows, got rid of things I did not need from the startup list, etc, but the computer was still very slow and would stop all the time. It just got to a point that I could not really do research and write papers. I was actually thinking of buying a new computer but my friend suggested I could try upgrading my RAM. This was definitely a great choice. I think I can use my computer for few or many more years. Since I switched the RAM in late August, my computer has been fine. The startup time did not change so it still takes a bit of time, but it works fine even when I have many tabs on the internet and have several programs open. I have had no problems. =)By the way. Taking the old RAMs out and putting the new ones in was pretty easy. However, it was a bit hard for me to open the computer's back RAM section. I had to unscrew several screws and it wouldn't open. I was scared it might break but I had to sort of force open the computer's outer layer. It came off fine. When the computer's outer RAM door/section was open, taking out the RAMs and putting in the RAMs was very easy.

I installed this stick in my Dell Mini 10V dual-boot Windows XP/Hackintosh netbook.It works great so far! Both the Mac side and the XP side recognize the full 2G.Very pleased!I followed the excellent YouTube video installation instructions provided by JRin -- search on "How to upgrade Dell Mini 10v memory" to find the video.

I bought this form my Toshiba Netbook to replace the stock 1 GM memory-price paid $30. I am running windows XP on it, and 1 GB of memory is just not enough for multi-tasking. Here is how I replaced the memory: Turned the Netbook upside-down, used a phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the 1 screw for the memory cover removed the old chip noting the pin orientation of the old chip, put in new chip orienting the pins the same as the old chip, closed cover tight, flipped the netbook up-right, and turned it on. The machine booted up, under device manager/system manager saw that windows detected 1.99 GM of main memory. Time: 5 minutes. I don't think it gets easier, or cheaper than that.

First, I bought the Toshiba T215D S1150. The 200 pin 2GB part, is not corrrect, even though Amazon said "people who bought this computer also bought this memory". Before I purchased, I got online help to ask whether this was indeed the correct memory (200pin) and was affirmed. It wasn't. the Crucial 204pin is the correct memory. OK, a quick return to Amazon and the correct 204 pin 2 GB was sent (glad there was a record of the discussion with online help...otherwise not so easy to return).Second, when the correct 204 pin, it was NOT SO EASY TO INSTALL. I used to work in an electronics repair shop, so not entirely without a skillset to do this sort of thing. Mind you, it was not the fault or design of Crucial, but the design of the Toshiba that made it difficult. First the access panel on the underside of the Toshiba was very large (larger than one might think to add extra memory), so one immediately wonders if you are trying to pry off the wrong access panel. When you decide this is the correct panel, it really is 'prying', it does not slip off easily. Then installing the memory: it seems one has to really push hard to get the memory to seat properly.....couldn't start it with finger pressure, needed to wedge it forward with a flathead screw-driver.But, once in it works like a charm. Much, much faster refresh, etc, etc. Great price too!

Received the memory upgrade kit today, popped it in, and went from 512MG to 2GB of RAM memory. My tired, 6-year-old Vaio laptop is running so much more efficiently!Thanks, once again, Crucial, for offering a great product that has saved me a ton of money! :)

I wanted to increase my memory in my Dell Inspiron E1505 so I bought 2 gig of memory. Took out the 1 gig, put in the 2 gigs and honestly I don't see any difference in speed what so ever. Now in all fairness I'm not sure what the additional gig might be doing in the background and I'm not well versed in such things. I just have not seen any speed difference in booting, or loading from the internet.
