Had an interesting experience with this memory. The installation in my netbook was simple and easy, thanks to some online directions. That said, it was a bit tricky to get the netbook to recognize the additional memory; you have to hit 'F2' at just the right moment in the boot process, and then it was OK. Then, the first few times I booted and used the computer, it actually ran slower than it had before with only 1gb of RAM, even though every tech paper and review suggested that 2gb would enable faster operation. Somehow now, the computer seems to have 'settled in' with the additional memory, and does seem to run more smoothly than it did before, with the drive chugging away as it swapped files in and out with multiple programs running (admittedly driving a simple netbook harder than it might be designed for). So, end result is successful, and it works just fine. I think the battery runs down a bit more quickly, but I suppose that's to be expected whenever you add more load to the system.

So I was looking for a RAM upgrade because the netbook was moving too slow for my patient standards. So I was looking online and people recommended this one for my Toshiba Netbook. So after unscrewing and getting to the ram compartment, I tried to take it out with no luck. So I went to youtube to figure it out and it became clear. After that, only took seconds to install.Windows 7 recognized it instantly, it took seconds more to boot up. I guess just realize that a new RAM stick is inside. I haven't checked the WEI (Windows Experience Index) but from what I can tell, online streaming was a lot better. Also, programs were starting up a little bit faster. I was impressed what 1 more Gig or ram can do. If you get a netbook, upgrade the ram as soon as you can. It's not expensive and it will save you stress later on down the road.

My computer is too old to update. It is works. Consider update or get a new one before you adding a memory.Updated: Good to have it and my computer getting faster than before.

I bought this for my work Dell D630 laptop computer to replace the 2 1GB memory cards it came with. I'm running Windows XP. My Boss said it made his computer, the exact same make and model, run much faster. It works fine in my computer but I'm not seeing any performance increase. I guess we use our computers differently.

Arrived faster then estimated. Price was great. Was very easy to install, but I have replaced memory in the past.Keep in mind Windows 32bit PCs have limits on how much memory they will run!I am going to order another unit for my wife's laptop.

My grandmother and my parents both have an Apple Mac Mini with a 1.5ghz Core Solo CPU and I wanted to upgrade both to the maximum capacity RAM. I ordered two of these upgrade kits and both worked perfectly in each of the machines. In previous experience with Crucial I can also tell you that any time you do have an issue with their memory it is an extremely easy RMA process and almost as quick as it is easy.

Works great in my Lenovo T60 laptop and it really woke it up with respect to speed. No errors per Memtest x86. Crucial memory has not let me down yet, I would not hesitate to buy this again.

about a month into using the 1gb pair (2x1gb) and all is well. very notable improvement in pc speed and processing from original 1gb. gateway laptop running windows vista. vista seems quite problematic and additional ram is essential. freezing, slow loading, constant need to reboot for the most part gone. crucial installed very easily with 200 pin and correct slot location. computer recognized ram and off we went. 4 stars since only installed for short time.

Replaced 1 gig memory stick from Acer D250 netbook with this. Pop out, pop in. Actually made Win 7 netbook a little more responsive. Makes decent pie too.

I have a first gen Intel iMac that I was trying to breathe some new life into. A lot of RAM are very finicky with Macs but I had no problems in the installation of this stick and computer had a noticeable improvement in speed. Never had any issues with Crucial and all my computers have had upgrades with Crucial RAM.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and update my Toshiba NB 205 from 1GB to 2GB after video streaming became slow. I am a total techno-phobe and know nothing about electronics or computers. I watched a video on You Tube to install it and it took about 3 minutes, undo one screw and panel off the back, slid out the old memory, clicked in the new one and it's working so fast now.However, and this caution is for other users who are not very tech-savvy like me. I went back to Netflix to ensure I had fast streaming and found that it didn't have the software installed for streaming. I tried to download it again, but Microsoft shows I already had it. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but I'm still having the same problem. I also seem to have lost some of my logins. Again, this could just be me as I don't believe RAM stores that kind of information. About to turn off and on and see if this resolves the problem.

This memory was purchased for a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop. Two 2GB memory modules were purchased to provide Windows Vista Home Premium with the headroom it needed. Windows used almost all of this memory, after installation. I used the Crucial Memory web site [...]to find out what memory was recommended and what was the maximum my computer and operating system would support. The easy to use fill-in-the-blank questions gave me all the choices and information I needed to make the decision. I am very happy and impressed with how this memory has transformed my Vostro. It came with 1GB of memory, which was good for the previous operating system (XP Home Premium). But there was a very noticeable lack of quickness in loading programs and web pages after the upgrade to Vista. This memory upgrade has completely solved these problems and I could not be more pleased. I do need to mention that one of the original memory modules worked when received but did fail in a couple of days, giving memory access errors. I did not have any lingering computer problems or loss of data from this, thankfully. Crucial Tech support was quick and excellent in helping me determine that a module was defective. Amazon return was completely painless, quick, and very fair. I completed the online form for a replacement and was quickly sent 2 new modules (what I requested) and was issued a label for postage-free return of my first-purchased modules. The new modules worked perfectly and still are working without any problem. My returns were received and I was notified of this by email. I never had to pay for the second modules and was only warned that if they were not returned within a very generous time period, there would be a charge. The entire process was painless. I do not blame Crucial for the defect as after 30 years as a computer Tech, I know these things occasionally happen. The important point is the quick, no fault attitude and action from both Crucial and Amazon. I could not be more pleased.

I purchased a netbook from amazon around a year ago. It had 1 GB of memory and was a little slow. I recently decided to see what it can be upgraded to and bough this 2 GB upgrade. For the price, I thought why not. Well it does make a nice difference to the PC. It boots faster and responds quicker. I noticed that opening the web and viewing web pages also sped up.. If you have a netbook with 1 GB, I would recommend going for this upgrade as around $25 it is a no-brainer to get the netbook moving faster!

Works well with my IMAC. I tried some ram that had a bus speed of 800 but my IMAC would not boot up had to return it and I got this. It booted up and now my computer has more power. Good product.

mind you, it's only been a day since installing this product in a white 20" Intel iMac (2.16Ghz) - I don't expect any issues as I order my last 2GB module from Crucial last year and it's still going strong (knock on wood)Installation is dead simple - you can definitely DIY and recommend you use a anti-static wrist strap if you have one.my only gripe is the packaging around the RAM has gotten nearly impossible to open - it's fine to use scissors to open the outer layer but the module is so embedded in the packaging, you have to use scissors to get uncomfortably close to get it loose. I want the old packaging back. Most of us are replacing RAM modules and it would be nice to be able to reuse the packaging.

Memory chip was the perfect size, installed in less than a minute, and was no problem for my Latitude D420 to acknowledge on the first start up. You will not find cheaper memory online, I have looked.
