The T10's are a nice step above the cheapest speakers or the ones attached to your monitor. Surprisingly good bass response combined with accurate overall sound quality make the T10 a pleasure to listen to. Power adequate for typical use, but at 5W/channel don't expect to rock the house. Would have a cleaner look if there were a grill over the drivers, but the 'industrial look' seems the rage with a lot of these PC speakers.

I purchased the "Creative Labs Inspire T10" speaker set to augment the table top "C Crane" wireless Internet radio that I recently received. The "C Crane" wireless Internet radio has an excellent monaural speaker, but I wanted more power.I had an Amazon $50 gift certificate, so that pretty well defined my price range. I wanted speakers that were equal to or better than the excellent speaker on the Internet "C Crane" Internet radio. Each of these speakers are larger than the radio and are equal with more powwer. They look good ane make an attractive living room display.I am more than pleased with the "Creative T10" speakers. They sound great. They might have been a little stiff the first few minutes, but then settled down to provide very good quality music from around the world.These speakers feature a tone control knob. That is a downside to me. That means that any setting that I make is purely arbitrary since I have no tone signal to compare it with. I fiddled with it and hit what I thought was a sweet spot and have left it alone ever since. I mostly listen to classical, jazz, and opera. Very satisfying.I do not listen to these at full power, so I really can't say what they are capable of doing. I listen at low to mid level ranges and they give a clear sharp renditon. I am not a musician and do not have a trained ear.For me, these were a good buy.

All the reviews for this speakers spoke very highly and i almost thought that this could be a budget Creative GigaWorks T20!!!! I had the fortunate of trying out a demo unit, and yes while its a lot better than most 2.0 speaker systems, it sadly is not great and left me disappointed as i had great expectations after reading several reviews.Summary of my findings,PROS- The long cabinet design for the speakers definitely helps in improving the quality of sound- The overall quality of the build is pretty good and a notch above other systems- Headphone and MIC inputs in the side of the right speaker is a nice touch- The speakers provide enough volume to fill a small room- Bass-port seems to be doing its trick and it offers some level of bassCONS- Once you crank it beyond 60% in volume the sound starts deteriorating.- No alternative for a true 2.1 sub woofer system, even with the bass-port and long cabinet design the bass is poorI had been leaning towards getting these for my general use speakers with the PC, but seems like a 2.1 system with a proper sub might be a better overall solution than these.Testing was done using on-board audio, the quality of the outputs might be better if this is hooked to a proper sound card which i did not have to confirm if the speakers worked better with a good sound card.

I got these speakers to use on a computer I have for my nephews to play on when they come over. I also use this system to play older games that don't like newer operating systems. I really only intended to use these speakers for gaming which they work for very well considering the price. I tested them out on some music and they don't do so well. The sound quality isn't bad but there isn't much depth, even with the sub. It also takes some tweaking to get it just right as the sub can easily distort. I wouldn't recommend these for someone that really likes to listen to music a lot. I have much nicer speakers on my main computer and the difference is night and day. However, these blow away the two speakers I was using before. These are for people that want some inexpensive speakers that game and listen to music once and a while. Especially if your computer has on board sound.

So, after reading the reviews for some slightly above average pc speakers, I chose these. Primarily, I use my computer for movies and tv episodes ... I have better equipement for music if I need tunes.Pros: Substantial and well-put-together, these are pretty, with shiny, piano black facing to the speakers, and a grill over the speaker cones. Unlike Altec Lansing speakers, these are not hard wired and can be separated.Cons:Sound is just ok: there is bass but it's "muddy". The tone knob, as others have noted, is pretty useless because bass and treble are controlled with the same knob. Volume is a little lower than I expected. Overall, it's just a tepid sound. Not terrible, but not up to the expense.Verdict: I wouldn't have bought these. They are overpriced for the features they offer, and I wish I'd gotten the cheaper set I'd looked into.

Listened to our T10's for the first time tonight and felt compelled to write a glowing review. Wow, who knew speakers at this price point could sound so good? In our living room we have 4' speakers with an exotic sound system to match, and several of our PC's have Logitech or AR multimedia speakers. But these little T10's are sweet! Impressive too is the Creative Labs out-of-box presentation. Slick build quality, nicely packaged, these feel weighty and look terrific. Even the cables suggest nothing cheap here. My wife, who rarely chimes in on tech purchases, says "Gosh honey, these sound like big speakers! And with no subwoofer. Great job, Creative Labs. (And Amazon, who shipped immediately to arrive in just a few days) We're impressed and totally satisfied.

Update: I can not longer call these a 5 star product. For the money, they aren't awful and obviously are an upgrade from your built in laptop speakers.. However, if you want something a lot nicer and have ~ 100 bucks to spend, I'd recommend Studiophile AV 30s.Original Review:I bought these so I could listen music at work without having to wear headphones. They just arrived today and I can say they are a fantastic upgrade from my built in iMac speakers (which weren't terrible, but hardly project sound very well). So far, they seem well worth the $50 I spent on them and I am happy with the purchase.I am not an audiophile, but I can tell you blues sound sweet and twangy on them (Taj Majal's "Fishing Blues" comes across brilliantly, sounds like he's playing the guitar right here in the room with me, and the voice is clear and human tones are well conveyed). I'm not really expecting much in the bass department, but a bit of bass does come across, and seriously, what can you expect for $50 computer speakers with no subwoofer?In summary, these are excellent speakers if you're looking to upgrade your computer's built in speakers or expand the sound range of a notebook. I wouldn't recommend them as an alternative to a good home stereo system though!

These speakers have a great sound and I liked them for the 5 months they worked. However, I expect products to last longer than this so I was surprised when one of the speakers stopped producing sound. Got an RMA and sent them back to Creative Labs. Am waiting to see if they honor the warranty.UPDATE--I sent them in to be fixed and got another pair from Creative Labs that work flawlessly. My original speakers must have been unusual. I would recommend these for price, value and because the company stood by the warrantee.

Me parece muy bueno este equipo. El sonido es limpio y agradable, sobre todo con arreglos de orquestas y temas instrumentales. Los bajos proporcionados por el subwoofer dan un adecuado soporte a los medios y agudos ofrecidos por los altavoces. La ?nica debilidad que le encontr? es que con g?neros de m?sica como el rock, los sonidos pueden tender a agolparse y se hace necesario bajar un poco el volumen para que no haya distorsi?n. Los 6 vatios RMS por canal son m?s que suficientes para el ambiente donde los uso, que es de unos 25 m2 aproximadamente. En resumen, me parece que el T3100 es un excelente equipo, y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

These speakers are very good for the $20 I payed for them. I have always been happy with Creative products- I also own a Zen Vision: M. The bass can get a little thumpy, but it provides crisp sound.

Needed some speakers to enhance my flat screen tv sound, so I ordered these from Amazon. Not an expert, but I think they feel, look, and sound like a real nice speaker. I put them on the end tables and the sound fills the room. I would definitely recommend them.

I rarely write reviews on the products that I purchase but I must admit that this was an OUTSTANDING value for under $50.The overall quality of these speakers is superb and the sound quality is really great for the price.You really can't go wrong with these!

This was birthday gift for my son stationed in Iraq.He loves them and said they add a bit of "home" to the environment! He says the sound quality is awesome and the speakers live up to the advertised qualities.

I have upgraded my review of these speakers because I discovered that I was using them wrong. They have a bass port on top, so they should not be placed directly beneath a shelf, as I was doing, because the bass will be muffled. If you let these babies out into the free air so they can breathe, they will demonstrate their excellent bass response. Sorry for the earlier erroneous review, in which I gave these speakers only 4 stars. They deserve top marks for the money.

I have these speakers connected to a wireless receiver (Creative SB0840). The hook up was easy and the sound is acceptable.

The speakers and sub have good quality. I bought this along with a $80 sound card to get the best quality from 2.1 speakers. The sound can get real loud with a good feel of the bass, but still has clear quality. I have had them for a month and they still work great. I don't turn up the knobs all the way for 2 reasons: I might burst the speakers or sub, and it has enough power at lower range to still be heard around my house. Overall, great speakers for the price. If you are looking for a nice set of speakers for your home computer, this is it.

We turned these speaker on/off approximately ten times before the volume control internals failed. (The potentiometer is physically broken) No excessive force was used or anything. They must have used really cheap inferior parts to build these speakers.

Great sound from a small package. No need for a "sub-woofer" separate from the satellite speakers. Has earphone output Only drawback is that it has a single tone control rather than bass and treble control. Still sound quality is great for gaming and computer communication.

I did a thorough comparizon with Bose Companion 3,for me this is the right speaker that can surpass that expensive speaker. This has an excellent sound, I'm enjoying every bit of sound that this cheap speaker delivers. Kudos to Creative Labs,I still have your T3000,which is a great and affordable speaker,too.I would recommend this to all sound enthusiasts.

I think these speakers are passable, in that they take up little space, and are sleekly, blackly elegant if that's to your taste. However, compared to name brand 2.1 systems of 1/2 the t10's cost, they have very little bass, and none of it deep. That said, the mids and highs are pretty good, and you CAN increase bass if you're willing to put one of these on the floor (thus sacrificing one channel of mid/highs--at ear level that is).Bottom line, if you really can't afford the space of a third box (subwoofer) somewhere on the floor, the T10's will provide decent, clean high-fi sound minus bass with minimal physical intrusion. If you're fussy about sound, though, (and I am NOT a fan of exaggerated bass--I prefer accurate reproduction), you'll prefer a system with a subwoofer.

Speakers are of much higher quality sound reproduction than others in this class I am familiar with. I strongly suggest using one of the same company's sound cards to get the full use of their higher capabilities. Very good product at very reasonable price.

This package sounds much better than I was expecting. I paid about $40 at the now defunct Circuit City, so I wasn't expecting very much.I just wanted something to plug into my laptop. Pretty amazing for a few bits of plastic.They would benefit from better connectors and a decent crossover. But then, they would cost a lot more. I listen to iTunes via my laptop, and with the equalizer customize a gentle v-shape curve centered at 250Hz and another slight dip at 2K. Any "cheap" sound disappears.My other speakers are a pair of Acoustic Research transmission lines connected to a 400W Onkyo receiver, but I listen to this lowly T3100 system much more often.Bass is surprisingly deep. Imaging is good, but not as good as the $2000 AR's, but hey. iTunes and other compressed sources won't sound any better there either.The T3100 system is good enough to have in the living room and will not compete with the decor. I blacked out the LED indicator on the right speaker -- a matter of taste.For forty bucks, can't do better. Everything else under $200 in this size sounds crummy.Recommended.

For the price these are awesome 2.1 speakers. The Bass is a bit low but I found this fixable by positioning them under my desk. They have a nice true stereo sound on a good sound card. Definately a good set and getting my by until I can afford a nicer set.
