I wanted a set of amplified speakers to use with my Chumby. I'm no audiophile, but the Chumby's built-in speaker is awful. I was using a clock radio that had an auxiliary input, but that took up a lot of room, so I wanted to get a nice set of amplified speakers, but a 2.1 setup was not only going to be overkill, but there just isn't a good place to put the subwoofer in our bed's headboard.I tried the Logitech X-140, but it had ground loop problems. Not so the T10. The sound is nice. Some of the negative reviews here are a bit harsh, I think, but then I don't have high expectations for this application. Suffice to say that I think these speakers are worth the price I paid, and I think if you expect more, you're not going to do much better at this price-point.

I would not recommend these speakers. After having them for a year or two, when I touch the control knobs on the master speaker, it creates static or completely stops the sound that comes out of that speaker. It's very odd. It is not the hook-ups at the back of the speaker, but has to do with me actually touching the knob.

I have had my T3100's for more than three years now and havent had a single problem! They sound eveybit as good as day 1! At the current price you will not go wrong unless your trying to thump the nails out of the wall. for everyday listening these cant be beat by anything under 60 bucks. If you want better than these then you better spend some real loot! Crisp, detailed, smooth, you'll sit back and cackle like a madman when you hear these play the first time because you'll be so happy. Money well spent!

These speakers are definitely worth the price! The set-up is super-easy and the sound quality is amazing!! The only downside is that they are a little bit bigger than I expected them to be, but they still fit on both ends of a desk pretty comfortably. I still would have chosen them, despite the size issue, since the sound quality is worth it. If you decide to buy these speakers, you won't regret it!

I bought these speakers to replace some Logitech S120 2.0 Multimedia Speakers which were atrocious but don't let me digress; these are really good speakers with very nice base. The minor complaint I have is that the speakers need to be turned on to be able to hear through headphones. Other than that I'm enjoying these speakers so far.

This speaker is so much better than the regular computer speakers we had. The sound is great....volume is appreciated for the classroom. The price was reasonable. We purchased two of them.....one at a time, to make sure it was a good fit.

Bought these based on reputation of this company's products. Maybe I was expecting too much for the price. They are just OK. If you are looking for a nice sound for your music, don't get these if you are at all picky about sound quality. Dig down a little deeper and get something better. Good for voice, but too distorted for music. After owning these speakers for over a year, I must add that these speakers do sound much better after they have been given a chance to break in. Just really didn't like them out of the box. At home I use them for my tv. They are also great to take on vacation. I just hook them up to my IPod.

Really like the sound of this speakers, although isn't sound very strong has a good quality. If you want a graet speakers to low cost, don't dude and buy this!

these definately did not compare to my old ones, (wish i could still find them!!) at a regular volume, they are really good, but as soon as you max out the speakers, they get distorted. if i had a mulligan to use, i would return them and look for something stronger!

I got these on sale for about 14 and love them! I've had tons of computer speakers in the past and these are great for a portable system or something cheap. The sound quality isn't amazing but definitely close to the best in its price range, and it goes pretty high without distortion. I've bought similar altec lansings and they blew out real fast, but these are 2 years and still going! No regrets with this purchase.

if you listen to country or watch movies online than this system will be a GREAT bargain; however, if you listen to rap than the sub is not going to make you super happy. i have to turn the bass down when i listen to some good rap songs or else the sub distorts a bit. the rap still sounds really good, but i find that i keep wishing that i could turn the bass up higher while listening to heavy rap songs. This is not going to be the best set of speakers that you have ever heard, but they are worth it.

These babies are unbelievable! I've had them for a little over a year now. I never expected what I got as sound quality and power.Let me just preface by saying that if you're looking for very deep (rattle-the-trunk) bass, you got the wrong speakers. Bass is something that unfortunately comes with size. Although these little fellas do a pretty impressive job when it comes to sound depth and volume, they don't rattle anything. Movies with special effects still sound cool and music is loud enough for a decent party, but if you're looking for a lot of power, these fall more on the mellow side.So major pros for me are:-design (they're sleek and stylish, with the glossy black finish and no weird experiments with shape)-connectivity (they are extremely easy to hook up to practically anything and even have a headphone jack)-controls (apart from volume there's also pitch control which is pretty sweet)-portability (as i mentioned the shape and the weight make them easy to move around anywhere you want them)-price (for 40-50 bucks, it's pretty much the best product out there in that price range)Creative never disappoints. No negatives I can think of!

I bought these speakers around 5 months ago. They are still in perfect condition. However, I hardly touch them, so there would be no reason for them to break.Overall Sound: 9/10 The sound from these speakers is very good. It sounds better than most other cheap 2.1 speakers, and if you are still using desktop or laptop speakers, you will be blown away by the sound out of these. The sound is clear when the volume is loud and soft, and the speakers get very loud. Also- one tidbit about getting loud- be reasonable: these are small speakers. They can easily fill the room with loud sound, but it is unreasonable to expect them to fill the entire house with sound for a party. You will need bigger speakers or an amp for that.Bass: 10/10 The base is extremely clear. I have never heard bass this good. It not only "thumps", but it doesn't distort the music. It compliments the music, and never gets annoying if you turn it up. You CAN hear the difference. Oh, and the subwoofer will give you enough base as you want. With the adjustable knob, you can turn bass low, or as high as to make things rattle.Midrange/Highs: 8/10 The audio sounds great from these speakers, and you can differentiate all the different sounds in a song. However, it is not perfect. It gives a clear, warm sound, but it could be a clearer sound. Compared to my Sennheiser HD 280 headphones, the highs are not on par. But these aren't headphones. Bottom line- they sound awesome. But if you are an audiophile, you can tell the difference between these and $500 speakers.Random Stuff: The Blue light on the speakers that lets you know they are on is very bright. It bothers my eyes even in the daylight. I put 2 little pieces of masking tape over it, which dimmed the light.Bottom Line: Buy these speakers. They are amazing. They beat out many other 2.1 speakers. The subwoofer is the best I have heard, and the 2 speakers are great. The main speakers can output lots of sound and get quite loud, and the tweeter can produce all the high range sounds. Plus- these speakers look really cool!

I was looking for relatively cheap speakers that will still provide quality. sort of a compromise between price and quality. For the money I paid for these ones, I am much more than happy with the sound they produce. The good:* don't take up a lot of space* look nice and simple* have a headset and aux sockets easily located on the side of the speaker* decent sound quality. MUCH more than your typical 2.0 standard speakersthe not so good:* I think price should be a little lower after all* these are not for music. They are great for games and other computer use but definitely if you're into listening to music you will need to invest more in a proper 2.1 system

When my Klipsch Promedia speakers decided to call it quits, I found myself in need of a speaker system for my computer. I really didn't have the money to purchase another Klipsch setup, so I decided to set a limit of $100. There are a lot of choices in this price range. I started with the Creative T3130. I liked this system for the most part, but the highs were not as crisp as I like. I returned it and then tried a system from Logitech. I was even less happy with that one. That too was returned. I gave up for a while and I decided to make an impulse buy. I saw the Inspire T10's at Fry's and thought I would take a chance with them. What made it even easier was that these were on sale for $28. I took them home, plugged them in and I was floored. The sound was nearly perfect. I did realize that this was a 2.0 system and that these types of systems have their limitations. The highs are crisp and clean and the bass, while it doesn't hit you in the chest, is very satisfying. I hooked a graphic equalizer to the system and it sounds wonderful. I like to stream movies on line and these speakers make them sound great. For a basic computer speaker system, these speakers are worth the money. If you are really into bass, try a 2.1 system. If you just like good sounding speakers, give these a try.

Am happy with speakers. Their weight indicates to me that they will last a long time. I purchased light weight less expensive speakers that lasted 3 months. I hope these will last as long as my stereo speakers are lasting/

Yes, if I could afford it, I would have gone for Bose, or the like, but on my meager budget, and considering the purpose, mostly light pc use, or as a low cost MP3 system, it's a fair value, especially after rebates in my case.These speakers are real space savers, heavy and squat enough not to easily tip over with their combined weight of about 4 lbs., plus four small stabilizing rubber feet on each unit. My old $15 set-up included a subwoofer, which was nice, but I'm not missing it. Frankly it was kind of a hassle to have to adjust the tone, because the woofer needed to be situated on a window sill in front of my computer table. The power button, tone control and head phone jacks on my old set-up were mounted on the front of the subwoofer, which was good, but with the T10`s, they are all conveniently located on the front, and right-front side, of the right speaker. And since the speakers are small enough, I can situate them to either side of my 19 inch monitor, solving the access issue. Yes, some other units have remotes, but there's still ultimately a space issue for me with 2.1's.BTW some may have a problem with the combined power/volume button, but not myself. To the contrary the volume and tone controls are large enough to easily finesse, including a well balanced, and rarely changed, half-way click-stop on the tone control. It's possible to get a pretty wide range of output from subtle background levels at nominal volume to a level robust enough to fill the room. On the downside, hard core gamers/rockers will find the bass lacking. I generally listen to acoustic music for which this product is better suited IMO, but the base is very satisfactory without being boomy. Also the mid-range drivers on my old system are the same size as these, 3-inches, but my old feather-lights were hollow-sounding ..no comparison.One proviso, the ports mounted in the top of each speaker, will likely catch dust, or possibly a small object like a paper clip, if you're not careful. I doubt that this will become a serious issue, but it's a consideration that I was aware of when bought them. Would have been nice to have a built-in screen to protect the internals though.I was frankly a little surprised that there weren't more reviews on the T10`s, as they offer some attractive features, and good value for a 2-by system. I especially welcome that these speakers compliment the already clean lines of the rest of my desktop system, relieving the former cluttered appearance. In terms of style I appreciate electronics in small elegant packages, that deliver performance better than their size would indicate.CAVEAT ..I WROTE THIS REVIEW 3 YEARS AGO, ONE OF THE VERY FIRST TO BE POSTED. I GOT 3 GOOD YEARS OF LOW-IMPACT-USE OUT OF THESE SPEAKERS, PURE ENJOYMENT ..NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES WHATSOEVER. HOWEVER, SUDDENLY, ALTHOUGH THEY POWER UP, THERE IS **NO** SOUND FROM ANY SOURCE, EITHER PC OR MP3 PLAYER, USING EITHER OF THE 2 INPUT JACKS. THIS IS A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT. THEY STILL LOOK AS NEW AS THE DAY I BOUGHT THEM. I AM TRYING TO DISASEMBLE THEM AT THE MOMENT, AS I FIGURE WHAT'S TO LOOSE. THE SAD FACT IS, THAT I CANNOT FIND A BETTER SET OF SPEAKERS FOR $40 THAN THESE. I PAID $30 THE FIRST TIME AROUND. SO, ONCE I GET PAST THE INITIAL SHOCK, I MAY TRY THEM AGAIN, AND HOPE FOR BETTER LUCK. AT LEAST I'LL HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAIR FOR BACK-UP PARTS, MAYBE EVEN TIE THEM INTO MY SOUND SYSTEM, IF I CAN FIGURE A WAY OF DRIVING THEM ..BUMMED :-/

These speakers are all bass, but in a muddy way. Tone knob does nothing. If the tone knob is all the way down, the sound is absolutely dreadful; if you turn it up half-way, it's better but still super bass heavy... and in a muddy way; it's not crisp sounding AT ALL. If you turn the tone knob more than halfway, it doesn't do anything at all. I'm disappointed because I thought these would be an upgrade from my old speakers (which I gave away) and they actually sound a lot worse. I hate the hassle (and cost) of returning things, so I tried to adjust to them, but it's about one month later and I'm still hating them. So I'm returning them while I still can. They look so attractive that I was hoping I'd get used to the sound, but it really falls short and I think I'll invest more $ in whatever else I buy to replace them.

I bought these speakers back in 2007 for $100. Love them, great sound for your money and I was perfectly content. But for the past few months they started making crackling noises and cutting out. Today, the left desktop speaker has quit working altogether. Warranty is 1 year, so I am out of luck.This has me doubting the longevity of the product, since I am not a heavy user and take good care of my things. Guess I learned my lesson, buy cheap buy twice!

I just got a second set of these for another pc. They are a good price vs quality trade off if you want more than a basic set of speakers. Sound reproduction is very good for this price point and they are bigger and heavier than most of the "cheap" speakers. They look good too.

First let me say that I am not a audiophile. Having said that I really like these little speakers. As I type I'm listening to online music. If you want booming bass these speakers will not rock your world but the bass is adequate for my needs which is simply listening to music in the background as I work on my PC or watching online videos. If you turn up the volume then the bass kicks in but even then it will not shake the walls. There is only a single tone control knob with no separate treble, bass and balance controls which is why I gave it three stars in the features category. In reading the reviews some mentioned humming was a problem. When I first started to use them there was definite and annoying hum. But I simply twisted the plug coming from the PC where it plugs into the speakers and the hum went away and has not returned. They are perfectly silent when on with no audio source or in between songs so those that experienced this problem may have had a cable and/or connection problem. I'm not a gamer so I don't know how they sound while playing games.Pros: Good price. Good sound quality. Small footprint on desk. Look good.Cons: No separate bass, treble, and balance controls. Bass could be stronger.Bottom Line: While these speakers won't come anywhere close to matching the sound quality of a good surround sound system they are great little PC speakers for the price if your purpose is to have background music or watch online videos.

I got these because they fit just fine on my desktop with the two laptops I have. I connect them to my HP Pavilion or my Mac Book Pro and they sound fine and much better than the speakers in the laptops, especially the Mac Book Pro, which I thought sounded tinny and there was no bass whatsoever. A set of 2.1 speakers with a sub-woofer would be too loud in my apartment, so I decided to look at the desktop speakers. I have been well satisfied with my purchase.

These are not the perfect pair of PC speakers but they're bloody close. If you're willing to spend over $150 you can get better but at this price point, you cannot beat them! The sound they pump out is amazing compared to others I have tried (bose, logitech) and at a much lower cost! I can now blast music directly from my PC without having to go through my stereo speakers for great sound (via my Philips Streamium which can be finicky).They were easy to set up and I had them working within 10 minutes of opening the box. Besides the volume button there is a tone button that allows for a fair amount of adjustment. Each speaker also has a tweeter and woofer port. They measure 7.5" tall x 3.5" wide with a depth of 5.5" to provide a great sound experience but can make them difficult for small work spaces.I was looking for cheap speakers with good sound to stand in until I could save up for the Altrec speakers recommended to me but I might stick with these. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these speakers, especially at the price of under $50.
