These are no cheap back-of-the-shelf speakers. Though they appear quite modest at first, after a quick setup you will be inundated in rich, flowing audio. They have a superior frequency range, impressive bass response, and really are perfect for use with a laptop. Upon receiving the huge box in the mail, I was skeptic as to the "compact footprint" Creative advertised. But even this fear was unfounded; when I took them out of the box - low and behold - they were small! I therefore would highly recommend these speakers to anyone and everyone seeking an affordable and high quality set of 2.1 speakers. This is yet another example of superior craftsmanship shown by Creative Labs.

I just got these to replace my Labtec 2424's, which, sadly, I can't get anymore. The Inspire's are a good solid sounding speaker for the money, but the on/off knob has developed a crackle when you turn it on and sometimes it takes a second for the full range of sound to come trough. I'm probably going to return them and get another set. Hopefully, that'll fix the problem. Overall though, based on sound quality for the price, these are good. Just don't crank them up too loud unless you turn down the bass or the sub. It get's a little squirrly when pushed too hard.

There's a range of low-mid frequencies that are too high for the sub and too low for the main 2" speakers to handle without distorting the hell out of them. It makes listening to music with relatively low acoustic string instrument notes really unpleasant. Not what I paid for; I would like to be able to listen to Joanna Newsom without cringing every time, please. Not sure I'm ever buying a Creative product again.

These speakers provide a really crisp and clean sound for such a minimally priced product. I did not have much in the area of expectations for these speakers, but they surpassed any and all preconceived expectations. I was especially impressed with the robust sound over other products I have used in the past that only make use of just the midrange speakers that do not produce proper highs. These are certainly not the best speakers I have ever had, but I must admit for the price, it definitely rivals some the more expensive speakers available on the market.

I got the speakers on sale for $20, by the specs, they seemed to be inferior to the Logitech x230. They have pretty good bass, the sound is crisp at high pitch, but... if your music has a little more variety other than rock and rap, you will notice that the sound is not so good. I am talking about classical and vocal music (country would probably fit the same category). There is just too much distortion. I will keep them for now, because as a college student, i am on a tight budget, but i am looking forward to getting something better.

This product is a very good value for money. For the price I was not expecting an A class system, so this product is everything I expected and I am certainly not disappointed. If you want a decent system for a good price then this is a deal.

If you have decent computer speakers, but not enough base for music, then this speaker system will solve your problem. The stereo speakers aren't anything to write home about, but the subwoofer completes the deal. The overall sound is good. The system is small so it fits anywhere. I expect the same thing could be said about a number of systems so look for a good deal. It would be nice to have the base volume control somewhere reachable rather than on the back of the subwoofer. I would buy the system again.

Very good speakers and awesome sound. There is a problem with the cables becouse they don;t go all in and sometimes come off. Otherwise these speakers are the best for the price.

These Speakers sound great, I bought the Logitech X240 before these and had to return them because of annoying interference noise and too much bass. These speakers sound balanced, and have enough power for my needs.

My needs for these speakers are for listening to music I am converting from LP records to digital MP3 format. These are small enough size wise to fit in the area I do my work and sound good enough to listen and enjoy the music later on. They are great for a small area or room and are an excellent value. If you're into listening to music and want a full surround sound system you'll want to look at other sets but for what these are made for...they really shine and sound very good!

i just got those speakers and the sound isn't good at all,if it weren't for the BASS,those speakers would sound like a pair of cheap $4.99 speakers.they also feel cheapish .i own also the LOGITECH X-230 which sounds much better and is also cheaper.get the LOGITECH instead!!!!

I have just purchased my third set of Creative Speaker Systems. This set was for a gift. My PC's are now my main stereo systems as my $300.00 stereo system does not sound as good. I have two computers running in my home office. I listen to music on the one I am not using at the time. I would recommend Creative Speaker Systems to anyone! Thank you CREATIVE!C, Leissner

These speakers sound very good for under $50.00 price range. Most people would be very satisfied using these for gaming or music.

Still breaking these in but impressed with the sound. Much higher quality sound than cheap 2.0 desktop speakers. Sub is smallish and fits easily under a desk without much of an imprint. Satellites are even smaller, but not delicate and have a good weight that keeps them standing straight even if accidentally nudged. For the price, these are a steal!

Easy Set up. Excellent sound quality. No distortion when playing really loud music. Tried various types of music like rock, techno, classic - plays all just great. Bottom line: really worth the money - and not that they are expensive to begin with.
