I bought this camera simply because of trust. However, the battery problem other reviewers mentioned is real. A few minutes of video, then the camera died. No more shots after turning back on. So disappointed. How could such a problem exist.Lucky to buy from Amazon with great return policy. Will always buy from Amazon.

This pocket size camera is amazing. 20x zoom is awesome. Can use it in automatic point & shoot or utilize full manual setting like a DSLR. Both provide the reliability and quality pictures that Canon is well known for.

Really satisfied with our new camera. Even faraway persons will become sharp on the pictures. And the size of the camera is perfect... Fit into even a small clutch.

I have been very happy with my SX280. It is compact enough to carry everywhere and easy to use. The pictures I have taken have come out very well.

so far, great performance, This camera takes exceptional pictures, has very good ergonomics, easy to navigate.After comparing pictures taken by Canon sx280 and Lumix zs25, had to return Lumix. These cameras are of the same price, and at the same level, but Lumix has very cheap, plastic feel with poor performance, especially in low light. Now, I think, Canon sx280 is the best in that class of cameras.

This camera is amazing! Focus is great, zoom is phenominal and "dark shots" without a flash are gorgeous! It has a solid feel but is light. Best camera I've ever owned.

Nice camera. WiFi is a bit hard to figure out but I think I finally got it. I was under the impression that the camera could send pics directly to Face Book using the gateway but apparently not. Still it is much better than the other choices on the market. Would help the average person if you had some video tutorials.

I just bought SX280 couple days ago. I had the same problem that everybody talked about here.[...]I can't believe this happened to Canon's cameras, which has been a reliable company for long time. This should have been found out during product test before it's on the market. Before Canon provides a solution, I can only return the camera.

excellent camera. quick response, fast focus. very clear photos. the performance was excellent. the size is easy to handle yet small enough to put in a pocket.

Feel bad to have a battery with so small backup. Picture quality of camera is good. I wish Cannon had a better battery backup.

This is another great Canon camera. It is amazine the number of features that are available for such a small product. I do wish they would build a better wrist strap on the camera so heavier duty (neck) straps could be used.

Red battery indicator comes on prematurely. On a fresh charge, it'll turn red after recording for a couple of minutes. On a partially drained battery, it turns red immediately upon entering movie mode or pressing the record button.
