The November 01, 2013 review was not very helpful and is quite unfair. The is no such thing as a point and shoot camera that is "kids-friendly". The review did not provide an alternative point-n-shoot model that is actually fast enough to capture kids' s movements. Instead, the review compares it with an DSLR camera. Duh, that's like comparing the speed of a Vw Beetle with a Porsche 911. We bought three SX150s and one SX170 and they are excellent cameras. They take exceptional pictures for a point-n-shoot camera. The reason we gave the SX170 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lacking of AA batteries.

I mean, how can you just hate this camera? Is the first camera I have bought by my self, is really good, battery life is like a lot, I mean I've used it like in 10 activities and I've charged it only once, amazing, really good pictures and fast shots, just perfect

There were no directions on how to use it and what features it has.The spare battery does not hold a charge.screen fussy some times.

When I received it the condition was brand new. It's a nice alternative for a point & click camera, just not one that I was used to previously. I could not get a clear action shot with it nor was it as clear as I'd hoped it would be. I recommend the Casio Exilim over this since that's what I had previously when going on my world travels and I took absolutely amazing & breath taking photos with it.But if you don't have high expectations and the size works for you then by all means try it!

Overall I like the camera for ease of use but the flash is manual and you need to put it up every time you need to take a picture were flash is needed. I should have paid more attention and gotten a camera with an automatic flash. The camera does take nice pictures and the zoom capabilities are great. The Flash is my only complaint.

This is really a great camera, compact one but with a nice 16x optical zoom, ready to carry on trip, the pics are just fine. The videos are just great and the battery last quite long.It worth buying it!

Just what I was looking for. It's small yet has great zoom. I am very please with the photos I have taken with it. The only thing is that it didn't fit into the case that came with the bundle.

I bought this camera for it's high 16 pixel and HD video capability and it proved to be versatile and produced excellent pictures. However I still have not figured out how to get the flash to function.

This is a very decent camera that is suitable for people like me who like traveling and love to take pics. This is a very good camera for personal use - You could take natural pictures and videos with a good resolution. I personally like it. I'm giving it 4 stars because this product can still be improved.

I brought this camera so I could get pictures on my recent vacation and I had more than I needed. The picture quality was great but even more exciting was the HD videos. I was able to record some of the beautiful features of the places I visited and it was a pleasure to share the videos with other members of my family. Love it!

I wanted this camera because it is very similar to the one I had previously, Cannon Powershot SX110 IS. The only thing I didn't look at is what kind of battery this one had. I think it will be cheaper not having to buy batteries, but think that I would rather buy batteries then worry if the battery for this camera will go dead because I forgot to charge it. Has more photo options then my last camera and it takes great pictures!

Great camera for the price. Simple to use for the amateur photographerThe LED screen is a little grainy but it does not hinder the quality of the picture. Battery life is good. Great bang for the buck. I highly recommend this camera.

I purchased this for my 72 year old mother. The screen is perfect for her, since it doesn't darken even in low light. The controls are easy to operate, and are large enough for her to see. This is much better than the smaller point and shoot she had before.

I just love the wide angle lens. The camera is a bit heavier than the old one I had in my purse but the pictures are so good so I'm happy with it. The 16X zoom makes for a great close-in picture. The only wish I have is that the lag was even shorter and the lens a little faster. The auto stabilization works well but I still get blurred shots with moving targets even when they aren't moving fast. Then I really need my DSLR.

I bought this camera for our teenage daughter. She loves it. It does everything she needs it to do. The one thing I think it lacked is that it did not come with a case. That would be my only complaint.
