I've had this camera about a month now and I really like it. It is fairly easy to use, has little shutter lag and takes great pictures.
There are alot of features that I probably won't use, but it's good to know we've got options :)

For an everyman's digital camera, we have been very impressed with the detail, color, and quality of the photos it delivers. For the price, and after doing some serious comparison shopping, we feel this was a real bargain.

This is my third Canon camera. As Canon offers more MP, I try to upgrade.

Yes, I bought this on recommendation from a couple of magazine articles and a friend's advice too. And I'm glad I did. It contains features that far more expensive cameras have and the quality of the prints is perfect! This was a gift for my wife. It needed to be small, reliable, efficient on battery use, simple to use and produce great snapshots. It does all of these things well. I believe that right now you can't buy a better camera for this price.

Once upon a time I purchased a Canon G2. My life was good.
Then I was enticed to buy a Samsung camera. My life was not good.
I have returned to Canon. I now believe that only traditional camera makers can be trusted to design great optical systems at a good price. I would recommend to anybody to be leery of electronic companies that move into cameras.
This camera takes great pictures and is user friendly. For most users, including myself, that's all I need.

This is my second Canon Powershot and I love the extra features as well as the use of regular batteries. I am still learning about some of the features.

The pruchase of this camera through Amazon was terrific, easy, fast and received camera exactly when promised. The camera is easy to use and the pictures are great. The flash carries great, the night time and fireworks setting is wonderful, catches children playing without blur and is everything I wanted in a camera. Will probably purchase another from Amazon for my daughter. Great price.

I had a terrible experience with Sony MP8 digital last September due to lens problem as I mentioned before.(Now I gave it to a friend's kid as a toy).
Then some professional photographer recommended this one. I used it for my last trip with my children and grandkids to Orlando in this past Thanksgiving. Wonderful, wonderful. I found more wonderful feathers than I expected for $215.00 I paid for.
Image stablizer, 6x (v.s. 3x as in the majority),movie play, night scene,
firework,...etc. It is so easy for a grandma to us, and the result is excellent.

My friends are jealous! They own much more expensive cameras and want to borrow mine. Easy to use, great quality, and the price was excellent. Much better than I expected.

Great camera for the price. I purchased it as a gift for my wife and she loves it. She is not very tech savvy but was shooting pictures within a few minutes of opening it. She loves it and it takes awesome pictures. I like the fact that it has a viewfinder that is absent in a lot of new cameras. This is nice in bright light when you can't see the picture on the lcd screen.

bought this camera to take pics everywhere!! fits in my purse, easy one hand use (with canon's grip on the side) best price out here on amazon (of course) not sure how to work the image stabilization yet, some blurry pics, but i'm sure its because i havent read the manual yet

I have owned, or given as gifts, the Canon A520 and A540 PowerShot cameras, similar but older. When I needed a replacement, I decided on the A720is, a like camera. I was thoroughly satisfied as to price, features and quality. It is so confusing to figure out if Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji, Olympus, etc. is better, so I bought a familiar, but improved product. Don't regret it, either! One caveat: Whatever you buy, be sure that you get a rangefinder window, however big the LCD. Why? Because when a bright sun is behind you, the image in the LCD becomes washed out and invisible, and you will desperately need that rangefinder window to figure out how your photo will appear, and what will be cut off.

The Canon Powershot A720IS was all that I expected. After researching most brands and price ranges it definitely gives you the most camera for your dollar! Only operating feature that was a little confusing is the auto flash on vs. off.

I ordered the Canon Powershot 8MP Digital Camera with 6x zoom. The camera has been great, it is easy to use on automatic, the zoom is awesome, and the clarity of the photos are the best. I have downloaded and emailed several pictures and they transmit very nice. I am very pleased with the size, ease of use, and overall camera.

I really enjoy the camera. I think it's great and I love the zoom. The original purchase I like, except for the memory card. The memory card the camera came with only held three pictures and then it was full. I didn't realize this when I bought the camera so I had to go out and buy a new memory card.

This is the second digital camera that we have and this is by far a lot better, great quality pictures even at night.
The only thing that we see it's the way to download pictures when you have installed in your computer different software for scanners and additional digital cameras. So, you need to follow a process in order to use Canon's software. Besides this it is a great product and higly recommended.

I think the camera is worth it for under 200 dollars. This my first canera and find light an issue with it. But it will give you clear photo's. I did some research with consumer reports and other on line sources. This was the camera for the money. I have been happy so far.

This camera far exceeded my expectations. The response time is extremely quick, it's very easy to use and the pictures are excellent. I chose this camera because it has the view finder in addition to a large viewing screen. I was hesitant about giving up screen resolution, but this screen was superb. It can even be viewed in bright sunlight. I highly recommend this camera for both cost and quality!

I like the quality of the photos except in low lighting. Also the flash cycle is really slow - kind of a disappointment. Battery seems to run out fast.

I am a senior citizen and this is my first digital camera. The instruction booklet is easy to follow and the pictures I have taken are absolutely wonderful in clarity, etc. I have downloaded the photos onto "My Pictures" on my computer with Windows XP. Purchasing this camera via Amazon was a most pleasant and affordable way of obtaining a digital camera.

Camera is an upgrade to my previous A710. The image stability works as advertised and resolves a problem I had with the previous model. My wife has a basic tremor and the feature allows her to take zoomed shots without a hint of blur
