I installed this hard drive in my mid-2009 Macbook Pro. I was worried that the ShockGuard would interfere with the Sudden Motion Sensor. I was also worried that the interface speed would be 1.5 gb/s instead of 3.0 due to a potential problem with the motherboard for this MBP model. However, the hard drive is working great and the negotiated speed is 3.0. I haven't had any vibration problems or issues with the Advanced Format. So far, I highly recommend it!ETA: A year later and it is still going strong! No issues to report

Великолепно

I bought this drive BEFORE the price increase, as it is now, (12/15/2011), twice what I paid for it a few months ago. This was a great and easy upgrade for my mid 2009 13" Aluminum MB. My laptop is noticeably faster, (5400RPM vs 7200RPM).

I bought this hard drive for my Son's birthday as the one he had was old and about to crash. After installing, he said it was like a brand new MAC laptop it was so fast. Ordering it was a breeze as his girlfriend researched it and sent me the link on Amazon to order it. It was delivered on time as promised, and very reasonable price. Thank you Amazon for helping me make my Son's birthday perfect!

We ordered this as a replacement in my wife's laptop. So far it's been fast and quiet. She has a less expensive laptop, so adding a nicer/faster drive has helped tremendously.

I have used this model drive in several Windows 7 Systems and have never had an issue. You do have to run WD Align on XP systems, or if you are using a cloning utility. WD's drives tend to be the best. It's fast and reliable.I've also repaired a 15" Mac Book Pro Unibody, which came with the problematic Hitachi HD, with this drive quickly and easily. I formatted it using the OSX supplied disc, and it was ready for Time Machine in about 24 minutes. Great Drive!

Bought a HP laptop 2 years ago. After it was out of warranted it started getting flackey. Finally determined that the hard drive was failing. The western Digital drive works great, just have to do a low level format and partition on it.

I've used Western Digital hard drives in the past and have always been pleased with the performance. So when a friends business laptop hard drive went out I knew I needed a replacement that I could depend on. Only one choice for me, Western digital Black. When only the best will do, go no further than Western Digital Black.

Compare to my previous one (Hitachi, 5400rpm) this product is just GORGEOUS.It gave a real boost to my system (MBP, early 2008) from the boot-up till the hibernation.No more noisy than the Hitachi, just a higher pitch.Highly recommended!!!

I've had this drive for about 3months now and I have zero complaints. The HDD was easy to install and the file transfer took just about an hour to copy everything over, it was roughly about 75gb worth of stuff. Also the drive is pretty silent, I was a little worried it being loud for a 7400rpm drive but that wasn't an issue at all.I can now downloading anything I want without having to worry about drive space. Wooo! :]

I swapped my 60 gig hard drive out of my ps3 for this 500 gig one and it worked great. Don't worry about loosing your downloaded content because you can redownload it for free (you already paid for it). Just look in your PSN account("download history").It took me about 15 min. to copy my game save data to 16 gig usb flash drive, swap hard drives, then reinstall them. If you buy a 2.5 inch sata hard drive case you can use your old one for a portable external storage device.

Wow. Replaced a 100GB 5400 RPM drive in my 2.16 GHz 2006 MacBook Pro. This drive is so much faster it is like having a new Mac. I did my research before and this drive got high reviews. Many of the SeaGate drives reported high failure rates.

I ordered this to upgrade the 160 GB drive in my Gateway model MT6821 after getting tired of shuffling data files off the an external drive periodically. The WD Black Scorpio SATA II 500GB drive arrived two days EARLIER than promised, was nicely packaged in a shock resistant box and, best of all, was easy to install (after a bit of fiddeling with some third party software). Very happy. Was almost $20 cheaper buying it from Amazon than from speciality upgrade sites, plus shipping was free.

Shipping was great, packaging was very good. Installed the hard drive into my laptop and it worked like a dream! Its very quiet, fast, and doesnt get hot. Stop the search right here, you've found the right hard drive.

Put as a primary hdd in my macbook pro and it works great! Really sped the machine up! HDD works great, transfer's fast and so far has no issues.Running OS X Lion
