Purchase was driven by need and Manufactures' reputation. Western Digital quality as expected. Filled the requirement perfectly. Ans so far is performing flawlessly.

Arrived earlier than expected Crushed by USPS. Second shipped straight away and arrived it two days.Very good response from Amazon but they do tell you to ship crushed one back or they will charge your C/card. 500GB drive slip right in Vostro 1500 with window7 loaded via USB. Next is 2.6 processor. Drive is working without fault. More space, didn't want to go 1TB with this laptop.

I've had it for like 4 months or so, and it works great so far. I'm no tech geek, but it seems to work great with my White early 2009 Macbook.

After researching and reading reviews, I chose the WD Scorpio Black 500 GB for my Macbook and it turned out a good decision.It's been installed for a couple of months and it's working fine on my laptop.

I just installed this in a mid-2007 White Macbook Pro and it's working really well. Install was simple and it shipped quickly. It even arrived 2 days before the estimated arrival time. Thanks so much.

This is a great drive. Flawless installation with Easeus Partition Master and this old computer feels great with the 7200 rpm. No more chugging along and nasty crashes.

Good drive, installed easily. Nice to have my laptop operational again.I was worried about taking apart my laptop to install. Checked you tube for my model, watched a video - followed it, and got it changed out quickly.A good buy.

So far so good. Seems plenty fast. Only concern is that when I tip my laptop, I hear a buzz, as if the reading arm is coming into contact with the plates. I hope that doesn't bode ill.

I bought this hard drive as a replacement for my factory Mac Book hard drive that crashed. I choose the drive based on reviews, size of drive, speed of the drive, and past experience. Since installing the drive I have had no issues and the drive seems to work better than the factory drive.

Easy to install but required some help getting it formatted and running. I hope it lasts a long time. The factory drive did not.

I had to upgrade my Hard Drive and RAM in order to install the new operating system on my MAC - I have a 2007 Mac Book. I upgraded my memory to 4GB - could not be happier - my computer is super fast now and it works like new.

Our 140 Gig drive was full so we installed the 500 GB drive, installation was easy and using the Acronis True Image software made the transfer of all data a piece of cake. Everything worked perfectly the first try and I'm not a techie person.Randy

I purchased this to replace the 320gb 5400RPM stock hardrive of the mid 2009 15inch macbook pro. It was very easy to replace in about 10 minutes.Note that when you are installing the operating system onto it, it will need to be formated first. This is very simple and the formatting tool can be found within the OSX installation window. Simply look for the "disk utility" tool and format it from there. Otherwise you will not be able to select the drive as a destination to install the operating system.As is mentioned in some other reviews you can actually hear this disk spinning since it has a higher RPM. This does translate into faster read/write times. Which means any task that requires disk access (pretty much everything) is done faster.The noise it makes is not particularly annoying, and you only notice it if the fans are running slowly; since the fans make much more noise at high rpm than the disk.All in all, I would strongly recommend this disk if you are looking for more storage and improved performance at a low price (the lowest I have found on the web in fact!)

I just bought this and it works great on my macbook white 2009 :) The noise is not noticeable since my Macbook fan is louder than the hard drive. Overall it was a good buy.

I got this for adding more storage to my PS3. It was pretty straight forward setting it up. I have a fat model Metal Gear PS3.Decided to update it with more info. I added this internally. Setup was easy. You can use any upgrading PS3 hard drive manual, instructions.

This hard drive went into my laptop many months ago, and has been working very well ever since. The larger cache and access speed is a nice change from the standard drives that Dell usually fits into these things. Still ticking no complaints.

Replaced the original Hitachi garbage in my Vaio. Five minute job. Partitioned 100G for the OS and the rest for data. Good and speedy so far ...

Highly recommend this seller. Item was just as described and worked great. I was able to change out the harddrive myself. Followed HP directions and my PC works great.
