I have actually purchased two of these routers, one for myself and one for a friend and I can say it works great! It sets up easily and quickly (5-10 minutes) and has excellent range. I have it in the basement office and it works throughout the entire house and even outside within reason. My only complaint would be its size. I know there are smaller and stylish units out there but I bought this one for its range and it did not disappoint.

Got this Router to use as an access point to cover large area of a church campus. Detachable antenna allowed me to put large directional antenna on. The result has been much better than the three other routers I tried. Get good connection at 100 ft.

Bought this router about 3 months ago, and it has always been a problem. When it works it is ok, but it keeps locking up and I have to unplug it and then plug it back in and then it works ok. Usually for a day or two. Sometimes less. I am buying a different router.

I have had this router for a couple months now. It has never really worked properly. The support people are nice and they pick up the phone, but they are unable to solve my problem. The router drops the signal after being on for a few minutes. It used to be only once every day or two, but now it drops the signal almost immediately after I restart it. Oh well... I'll just buy another one I guess.

I got this for my mom for Christmas as she needed it to be able to use her Logitech Squeezebox, which I also got her. We will be adding a Roku box as well when she replaces her current TV, and she will need WiFi for that also.This router pretty much set up itself. I was surprised by how little effort the setup required. I used the web interface to modify some security settings and it was good to go in a matter of minutes.I was also surprised how fast this thing is. 802.11n rocks :) The SpeedTest.net app on my phone was hitting just over 5Mbps. 3G and my own (ancient) wireless router only get 1 - 3 Mbps, so I was thrilled to see this kind of speed.Gonna get one of these for myself soon.

I selected this wireless router because of the generally positive ratings it has received, the price, and my own recent positive experiences with TP-LINK's usb wireless adapters and another router I bought for my daughter. This router was a snap to set up, it provides a strong signal throughout my house, and costs a good deal less than other highly rated wireless n routers.

This router was very easy to setup...the easiest I've ever worked with. My laptops connected to it very quickly. I have a couple bridges that also connected easily but the link quality and signal strength on them only reads in the 50%-65% range. The Transmit Power is "High" on the router and I've moved the bridges around and changed wifi channels with no improvement. Main concern is to avoid choppy streaming movies. I purchased an Alfa 9dBi WiFi Booster SMA OMNI-Directional High-Gain Screw-On Swivel Antenna to help so we'll see. I can live with these ranges but expected better based on reviews here.

It will sometimes drop the signal and will take a few minutes to broadcast again. Our DL speed has changed from 25 mbps to 15 mbps, with 6 people that makes a big difference per person. Nice because it's customizable and easy to set up.

This is the second wireless router that I have had and the first I purchased so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but this one was easy to install and configure. I recently purchased a NAS and this router has all the necessary options to allow access to the NAS while keeping it secure. I went from a 54 Mbps to 300 Mbps for $30 so it was a great price.

I bought this item and the shipping was very fastThis thing has a lot of range approx 300m and the speed was noticeably different it was boosted 5x with the wireless 'n' I'm happy i bought this item at this very low price

The router took about 30 seconds to set up. (literally) i plugged it into its power supply and it was ready from the get go with 2.4ghz at 300mbs speed. No cd required though they tell you to instal the cd first (not needed by a long shot). great bandwidth over long distances. I highly recommend, Enjoy!ps. I just got the router today so if anything happens in the near future that requires attention I'll be sure to post here for others convenience.

Works as advertised. Special kudos to the manual which described possible cable modem issue. I had the same problem and the manual walked me through the fix. Excellent.

I've went through one Netgear and three Belkin routers in the past four years. Through the constant lags and rebooting I will admit the Netgear was the most faithful and lasted longest. Until I got this lovely beauty. Set up was an absolutely breeze. It works perfectly with all computers it's come in contact with, especially my MacBook and my often fickle Ubuntu 8.04 desktop setup. I've never had any notable lag and in the five months I've owned it NO REBOOTS. Which I can't say about any other router I've had. TP-Link for me, please!

I've had a pretty standard WRT54G for a long time, running normal firmware, Tomato, DD-WRT, etc., and I finally got fed up that despite having 40 MBps through the door, I was only getting ~15 MBPs on my wireless devices.As I mentioned above, I'm very familiar with custom firmware and involved setups (Port Triggering, Forwarding, MAC Filtering, etc) and so I expected to jump right to the Admin Console. I gave their silly little mini-CD a shot and it was set up in (literally) 30 seconds. Sure, I could've done it, but I was impressed that a setup CD actually worked once. I went into Admin Console anyway to make sure things were setup correctly, and added some Trigerring for Xbox Live, but it was a breeze.My last speed tests with the WRT (down speeds only):13.5712.8113.0111.6713.7713.71After plugging this thing in:34.6634.7028.1527.65More than doubled. I'll take it. Solid 5 stars.

My Dlink DIR655 has been giving me problems whichI have hopefully resolved. I installed this routerin order to make sure it works. The install usingthe supplied CD was a piece of cake. It was up andrunning within 15 minutes and works great. The rangeis about the same as my Dlink but the lights are notas bright which is a good thing in a semi-lit room.All in all, a nice piece of equipment which I'vedisconnected and will keep for a spare. Amazons pricewas fantastic for a router of this caliber.

The router installed easily and with no problems...but it stopped working after 2 days. Tried reinstalling and everything but nothing gave. Sending it back and not going to risk ordering another.

Router works well with XP and Windows 7, but does not work well with VISTA. Also Claims that it can reach long distances, not in my house, 2-bars on the 2nd floor same as my 7-year old Linksys. It is fast where reception is good.

Probably the best value of all the routers sold at amazon. Overall it works great, the only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is the QoS feature. It only allows you to set the bandwidth for each IP address rather than being able to give priority to applications or devices like with other routers. I guess you could swap out the factory firmware for dd-wrt to get more features in the admin panel. The build quality is very good, much better than any of the other routers i've owned including d-link, netgear and linksys.

First they sent the wrong router. I give it to Amazon ... they made it right. But after about 3 months use I am finally giving up. Too frustrating. So hard to get it to reconnect after a power outage or shut down. Going back to my old Netgear (bought the new one to get more range on Wi-Fi- which it did when it worked). Don't waste your money! I guess you get what you pay for.

The router I received can not work properly from the moment I plug in on.Several devices can not connect to it.(The android smartphone and the blackberry'The signal is strong.However when quite a number of the devices can not access internet, it is really meaningless to own it any more.

A horrible experience indeed. After nearly 3 hours of frustrating experience to configure with my Cable internet provider service (DHCP) I returned it. What is supposed to be an intuitive 5 second operation failed repeatedly on 'Verify Configuration" step. My old DLink and the newer Belkin renew IP effortlessly and with same exact settings cables/devices.

I was looking for a basic but reliable wireless router so I could use my netbook around my condo, as well as hardwire my desktop PC and X360 to the internet. However I found that researching wireless routers is a nightmare, as for every person who lauds a particular model, there will be someone else who condemns it. This problem is especially prevalent among entry level models. Initially I was only considering LinkSys and DLink, since they are the two most famous consumer brands, but I couldn't find a basic model from either that was consistently rated well. There always seemed to be a small but significant proportion of users that would complain about dropped signals, running hot, firmware issues, etc. By chance though I saw this model reviewed on CNET [..]and immediately bought it from a local PC store. In addition to the good performance, long range, and ease of use as tested by CNET, this router was extremely affordable, which sealed the deal for me. After using this router for more than a year now, I can safely say that CNET's review is right on the money. It is a rock-solid router- I've only had 2-3 dropped signals to date. The signal easily covers every corner of my 3+1 bedroom condo, including the balcony. The unit does not run hot at all. Setting up and changing the settings on the router is indeed very easy and intuitive using the browser-based configuration. I strongly recommend that you download the latest firmware from TP-Link beforehand and update your router before actually setting up your network (it's very easy, just use the "update" option in the configuration screen and point to the downloaded firmware file). The fact that it is also one of the cheapest (but reliable) routers on the market is just icing on the cake. Keep in mind this is an entry-level model- 150Mbps only and no USB port for printer/HDD sharing, so if you need something more robust consider its bigger brothers like the 941ND or 1041ND. If you just need a no-frills, "fire and forget" wireless router to get online, buy this model, you won't be dissapointed.

I never knew routers could be incompatible with a certain operating system, but this is certainly the case with this one. My parents got this for their home, and while visiting I discovered my Android phone and my Linux PC could not load certain websites at all. When bypassing the router, everything would work fine.I replaced the router firmware with OpenWrt, and it is now great and problem-free. But frankly, it was too much of a hassle and a headache. A router should work out of the box with any WiFi capable device.Just keep that in mind when purchasing this router.

This router has been working perfectly since we installed it about 2 weeks ago. We had previously been losing our wireless connections randomly and having streaming problems on the Roku. This router is FAST and covers both floors of our townhouse perfectly. I tried a Linksys N router (internal antenna) before this and the performance and signal strength downstairs was horrible. This router is cheaper and works awesome! Works fine with all of our devices.
