I tried using this router with the latest firmware from tp-link as a simple wireless access point bridge (wan port unused, one cable from router to switch, dhcp disabled) and it worked, but every 12 hours or so it would freeze up, and flood the entire network switch and bring it down as well. Cycling the power fixed the problem, but annoying.Then I installed dd-wrt, and now it runs like a champ for 4 days so far no problems in mixed mode. No problem connecting from a tp-link wireless adapter or from my android phone.

Bought this for my daughter's apartment. I wanted something that would be fairly reliable but not break the bank. Other reviews looked good, so I ordered it. Setup was a breeze, and the girls haven't had any kind of problem whatsoever. When you don't even know you have the router, then it's doing it's job. The price was great, and the performance has been super.

This router still blows my mind - cheap, fast, great range, no reboots required ever.After dealing with the major players like D-Link, Lynksys, NetGear for years, and picking a lesser evil when deciding to buy one of them, this company came out of nowhere and I've never looked back.I do some major data moving, and I don't think I've rebooted this thing once. Maybe when updating firmware once or twice.Let's make this brand a runaway winner. Screw the big players that charge much more and deliver much less.

We were having issues that ultimately turned out to be squirrels eating the internet (chewing on the Comcast line outside the house) but as part of troubleshooting I had cause to contact TP-link, and their customer service, while polite, failed to follow through on helping, which was upsetting at the time.I've since purchased a Belkin router which reboots itself once a week, and I wish this had that function, as every 6-10 days we have to reboot it manually to get it to function. That said, reception when it works is great, and we now have it set up as a wireless switch.

the wireless router is very useful, and it covers well in our house.and it took days for dilivering. so if you want to buy, be patient.

After I received this item I connected it as per it's instructions and it failed to work. I tried all the other connection directions and still no wireless, it did function with included cord but I purchased it for use as a wireless router. As usual with Amazon I returned the item and got a refund NO QUESTIONS ASKED this is why I always buy from Amazon, for their refund policy, but this is a piece of junk, save your money and buy another product!!

I am an actual customer and replaced my Linksys router with this one. It was very easy to install, looks good (although I wish it was black to match the other electronics I have there, but I am sure that some places white is a better option)and is way faster than the linksys router I had previously!No complaints as of yet, just wanted to give a real life customer's rating. Very satisfied!!!

It's all I can ask for in a router. My computer connects flawlessly to the internet through it and it saves me money in the long run as my internet provider charges additional fees for a wireless connection. Setting the router up was somewhat frustrating only because I forgot to reset my modem, turning it off and on.

Worked well for three weeks, and then removed IP settings in Windows 7 when I was not even at the computer. This took a bit of time to diagnose and additional time was wasted trying to get the device to work again. Great price and fast Amazon shipping, as well as great return policy, but the aggravation and wasted time were a high price to pay.

This is replacing my old Linksys G router which has been as solid as a rock. Time to jump to N, and I'm glad I did. I was hesitant to stray from the Linksys/Cisco brand because I've had such good luck with it, but the good reviews of the TP-Link and low price made it too hard to resist. I was not disappointed. I have multiple devices on my network at home: 2 laptops (1 MacBook, 1 HP), a Wii, PS3, iPhone, Android and HP Touchpad. Across the board the performance is markedly better. Time to connect is faster, as is overall transmissions speeds.Physically, it's a solid device. Not flimsy, has some heft to it. It also has two really large, thick antennas. Signal strength of my devices is across the board about 20% better than with my previous router. Not sure if that's just N vs. G, or if it's the router. But either way, I'm happy.Setup was a snap. I did not use the CD. If you've ever setup a wireless network before, I don't think it's necessary. Plug direct into your PC/Laptop and navigate to 192.168.1.1 and type in username/password (admin/admin by default), should be able to go from there.Highly recommend.

Unit is good looking and was very easy to set up. I replaced an older unit because I need a bit more range to reach my living room. Somewhat disappointed with strength of the signal but it may be due to the construction of the building. Works well with lap top but weak with iPhone. All in all it is doing the job.

I have an pair of older G class wifi routers as wifi bridge made by Buffalo. They work reliably. However, I like to move to high speed wifi N network. I tried the wireless-N router made by Buffalo, they cannot work reliably as bridge or even AP at the N speed. Then I brought this one and trying to make it to be wireless N AP+bridge.Once I setup, it was working fine. However, four hours later, AP function still working, wifi-bridge stopped working. I don't get why wifi-G can work reliably, wireless-N can not? This wifi router working little better in time span than Buffalo. But the wifi speed was not as good as Buffalo. However, Buffalo only works for half hour, before I have to reset it.I am disappointed. I had high hope for this brand would work for setting up wifi bridge reliably at N speed. I have to start new search again.

I bought this to use in a building with many other residents using their own wireless routers, so my experience with it may have been different than people that use this for their own home. The router has a useful settings interface for establishing access lists or checking IP status, etc. and seemed to start up and restart quickly. For the price, it's a good value and worth getting if this is what fits your budget, but there are better routers out there.

I run a few items off of this router, TV and Playstation are wired, tablets, computers and phones via wireless. I have yet to have a signal interruption and get amazing speeds for downloads and surfing the web. The power button on the back makes it easier to control if I need to turn it off.

easy to set up,anybody could simply insert the resource cd,follow instructions,works in minutes.The price is really affordable,I would recommend this product for everyone who needs a simple router for simple browsing and other simple internet access

Tp-link rocks. Have had several routers over last 6 months including d-link (didn't work reliably, asus which fried on its own). Tp-link was easy to buy, easy to setup (fastest response of all routers) and works reliably. I bought one for a non-technical friend and based on that setup bought this one. Nicely done.

We rent the basement on a house and the landlord shares her internet with us. We use it with 2 computers, 2 iphones and a PS3. We always got signal down here but sometimes the internet would go off and on and sometimes my PS3 wouldn't connect to the Playstation Network or would sign me off for no reason. I called SONY and told them about this and they said the PS3 needs a internet signal strength of 80% or more to function properly; mine was always below %70 and sometimes it would get to %50 even %40. I had to turn the Netgear router on and off for it to work better but still I would get logged off from time to time. Then I bought this router and I haven't had any problems since then. I always get more than 80% signal and I never get logged off, EVER. I love this and the fact that it's so cheap. Setup is super easy and takes like 5 minutes tops. I highly recommend it. Next time I need another router I will definitely buy this one again and again.

Easy to setup and its been running since day one without any issues. Excellent value for money. Works with no issues with multiple devices connected over wifi and router. Using Roku and the hd video works without any issues over wireless connection. Definite value for money.... Most of the devices I use is within 100ft distance from the router, the signal strength is excellent.It has 4 additional Ethernet ports which is definitely great for devices with no wifi support. I would definitely recommend it for home users.If I had a wish list on the additional feature requirement on the router is support for multiple ssid.

I had a slight problem during installation, but that was solved rather quickly. Since I've had the router it's dropped the signal and required a reset once, but besides that there are no problems. I generally connect via ethernet, but the wireless works just fine as well.

TP-Link WL TL-WR841N 300Mbps Routr This router works great; however, I couldn't use the installation CD that came with this product. My I Mac didn't recognize its format. So, I just plugged it into my I Mac and it started to work without the assistance of the said CD. The only problem is that my wireless connection is open and not secure. This is made possible when using the CD for installing this device. I bought this router to allow me to use my new Kindle Fire tablet; it works great, too! ;) ;) ;) And, I Luv it! :D

This wireless router is very easy to setup. Just follow the instructions that comes with the router and the router will work. The router performs really fast compare to my old Netgear router and we have been really happy with the performance improvement. The range of the router is pretty good as well. The best thing about this router is the price comparing with Linksys, Netgear, and others. This router gives you great performance at the best price.One important note on the installation if you have AT&T DSL. You must call AT&T to get their help to setup the router because of the configuration requirement DSL modem. When connecting to AT&T DSL to access internet, you cannot login to AT&T DSL both from DSL modem and wireless router. Therefore, you must disable DSL login from the modem and AT&T technical service will help you disable the modem login. Without AT&T technical service, people will have trouble setup the wireless router.
