Very good router, and very good price for the performance it delivers. I did not use the CD to set it up. Just configured it throw browser. By automatically detecting so many parameters itself (e.g. protocol, channel, ...) its setup is actually easier than many other routers. Connected bunch of laptops and wireless printers, all went very smoothly.An update after one month:If you are not going to use this router with the HP-7510 eAll-in-one, the above review stands the same. However, at the same time that I bought this router I bought an HP-7510 eAll-in-one too. All features of the HP worked fine, except the outgoing eFax. After a month of working with HP Support and eFax, and trying every possible option, it turned out the culprit is this router that doesn't allow the eFax traffic to go out. The moment I changed the router with a Linksys WRT54G, the eFax feature started to work just fine. Put the TP-Link back into the network, the outgoing fax stopped working again. Still nobody knows what changes should be made to this router's configuration (if any) to make it to work with the outgoing fax feature of HP-7510.

Nothing to complain. Even got strong signal outside of my apartment. But I've used it only two months so far so its durability is still yet to be commented.

This is without a doubt the best router I've ever had. Just went through hell trying to set up a Belkin router after mine (also a Belkin) crapped out. I sent the Belkin back and ordered the TP-Link. The setup for my Mac running OS 10.6.8 was absolutely the easiest thing in the world. The support was wonderful (thank you Cora) and virtually all I had to do after connecting the cable to the modem and the router to the computer, was fire up the computer, click on the TP-Link pop-up box, type the address into the browser, and everything else was done automatically. Forget about the CD (which only works with a PC). After my experience with Belkin I waited almost a week to plug in the router and attempt the set up. Wow, something that works like it's supposed to. Hip hip hooray for TP-Link!

i got this product as a replacement for an aging airlink 'g' router which dropped wireless signals whenever the smart meter installed by the local utility company called home. and that happens two to three times a day. the tplink router had no issues with the smart meter. it gets hot when there is heavy internet traffic so its highly recommended to keep it in a well ventilated area. i got the best signal when i installed it vertically on a wall 4 feet off the ground with the antennas pointing down. my family watches HD videos simultaneously through netflix on at least 3 wireless 'n' devices with no problem.

Recommended by a computer friend of mine. Setup was super easy. provides 10x the wireless signal I had with my old router, all wireless devices in the home are working amazingly. Highly recommended.

Do not believe that this router will cover all the rooms in your house, because it will not. It covers well the room in which the router is setup. Into the very next room, there is a dramatic decrease in reception. I went from 60+ mbps in the living room where the router stood with its three antennas pointing into the air, to the next room with an open doorway where it only managed 11 mbps. In the very next room there was no reception at all, and none outside the house. My old router managed to reach all rooms of the house with an average 20mbps in all rooms. That was the Medialink with 150mbps speed and only internal antennas.Do not waste your time. I wasted an afternoon on this lousy router. Oh what fun to return stuff.

I read some users had installation problem, so I read instruction for cable internet sheet, and connect the ethernet connection s prior to the installation of mini CD rom, and it worked first time, I would definetely recommend this product.

First wireless router I've ever used, but so far I'm very pleased. When the product arrived, there was a question concerning compatibility with my DSL, so I called TP-Links tech support. Guess what? Spoke to someone within 90 seconds of calling, and he spoke clear understandable English, and quickly answered my simple question. Setup was easy with the installation disk and I have had zero problems since installing it.

I've been very pleased by TP-Link routers in the past, and this one is no exception. Everything working flawlessly after setup. Not much to add: it connects me to the internet and that what matters!

I was looking for a cheap router that would allow my husband's new tablet to connect to the internet, while still allowing my PC's access. This router does all that and seems to have signal through my entire house (which isn't all that big).

I have Apple computers, iPhones, iPad, Xbox 360, Apple TV & Cox internet and I have had nothing but problems with this router. I installed the latest firmware, contacted their customer service which is only thru email no phone support and they told me to change the channels on the router. Nothing worked more than a few days. I'd come home and this thing would be offline every few days. I went back to my old router and haven't had any issues since.The router has really good range and speed but its reliability for me was awful!

This router works as expected. I'm using it with my comcast cable modem. It's very fast and reasonable signal range. Very good for an apartment.It does not have the fancy features, such as cloud, USB, dual-band, etc. But it just gives you the needs for a wireless router and the reliability.It's hard to say anything not good on this price range.

I was hoping this Wireless-N router would break through my 12 inch walls and 4200 sq. foot house, but in terms of wireless distance, it only performs ~20% better than my Linksys Wireless WRT54G router, which I just retired. At any rate, the router can handle the 20mbps download speed that I signed up for, unlike the old Linksys which gave me 10mbps speed, so it's still an upgrade. My wireless does seem faster. Mom reports that her Hulu app doesn't time out as much, and my Xbox 360 lags no more when gaming and streaming movies.The setup was fairly easy, but I am experienced with networking. My desktop would not connect to the internet via the ethernet connected to the wireless router the first time, so I had to turn off the WPA2 security the first time I set it up. After the setup finished, I pointed my browser to 192.168.1.1 with username 'admin' and password 'admin' to change the security settings to WPA2. I also easily changed my wireless gateway username and password after that.So, it's a good upgrade from my old Linksys, and I am satisfied with my purchase, though I wish the wireless signals were better - however, this could just be a combination of my house and the devices I use because the signals are great with my Macbook, Windows laptops and Xbox 360, but just okay for the iPad and wireless phones.

The product came as promised. I wasted 1 1/2 days trying to install this wireless router. I never got it running right.I sent the router back today.

I haven't had any trouble with this router. It set up quickly with the directions in the box. I did not use the cd that came with it, and I was able to efficiently work through the print directions.

I would give Five Stras if I wouldn't have had to send the first one back. Got it replaced with same model. Works great! Stays at 300Mps most of the time, (RF is raely bad around here) so thats a plus. Buy it you'll like.

I bought this to replace my fairly new linksys e2500 that was giving me disappointing wireless N performance. This one is giving me much better signal throughout my house, faster wireless throughput and significantly less wireless latency (70-100ms ping on the linksys vs 40ms ping on the tp-link)I upgraded the firmware without issue before setting it up with my comcast modem, everything seems to work fine (WAN sync'd with modem quickly, wireless/lan connection working well and fast, upnp working perfectly) firmware seems feature-rich and easy enough to use.Considering this cost nearly 25 dollars less than the linksys e2500, and performs significantly better (although it does lack dual band) I think its an amazing value.

I've pretty much had it with Trendnet, dlink and linksys junk. They all last for a while, tops 2 years and then have to toss them. First time I tried this one. Easy install, lots of options I'll never use and works as well for the moment has any of the others.

Purchased this item in January 2012. It went into system failure in the first week. I contacted the company concerning the problem and was told to download and install the latest firmware, which I did. It did not solve the problem. I sent emails every two weeks concerning the continual system failures and need to reset the unit. It was failing on average of once every two weeks or so. The emails went unanswered for several months. When I finally sent an email demanding that they exchange it for a new unit, I finally got an answer. They sent an RMA number and said to send it back and they would replace it when they got the faulty unit. I've turned them down on that, since I've wasted enough time on their product to be put in a position of being withoout a router for two weeks minimum. I'll buy a different brand and trash this piece of junk.
