Could not get it to connect to computer. Help desk assistance was not able to get it installed either. Tried install several times

I would probably have given 5 stars if I didn't have to reboot it one time in the few weeks I've had it up (seemingly for no particular reason - seems like DNS just stopped working). Other than that, it seems to work very well, and setup was a snap.

I purchase this router because my Sony Blu-ray did not recognize the Comcast cable modem that I have, but with this router the problem was fix. I try to figure out how to install the router in my HP Laptop without the software but only works for a couple of minutes and windows firewall blocks it over and over, might have worked if I had turned off windows firewall but I would not take the risk of virus fill. Anyway, once I get the software installed everything went perfect; I mention this because I almost buy a used one with software and cables not included just for some dollars less, that would have been a big mistake since the installation software really help you out to get the router working. I use it in a small Studio, so the 150Mb per second are okay for now.TP-Link TL-WR740N 150Mbps Wireless N Router

I was looking for a router that was simple to set up and this router did that for this non-network savvy user. It works great and at a good price. It increased my wifi speed significantly for all my devices. Thanks for the great product!

Upgraded from an old Linksys 54G, and upgraded my cable modem as well. 16 meg download and 2 meg upload over Wi-Fi. Improved my signal strength and range.

our last router crapped out after about 6 years. So i got this one as a replacement. I am not very computer savi but the only complain i have is i can not connect the tablet to it. No problems with the old router but this one i just cant do it. I like the fact that this has a power button which makes for the restarting or powering off and the range is ok.

Well, this one is a puzzle. I've been working with routers since they developed routers and usually have no problems getting them set up. This one took some trial and error. Recommended for old pros but not for someone who doesn't have an intuitive feel for networking.

The set-up was very easy and it works better than the Linksys router that I previously had. I also bought a TP-Link range extender to go along with it and it works well also.

i struggled to install this for 3 hours but everytime i tried to reset reconnect and anything else it would come up with error messages saying it cannot connect to the network or cannot attain the ip address, i even called their tech support and they couldnt even figure out what was wrong with it.will not buy again

I'm NOT a tech person so I was beyond hesitant when buying my first wifi router (yes, this was my FIRST router... I've been plugged in to the modem for the past 10 years). This was SUPER easy to set up - I just plugged everything in and popped the little dvd into my laptop. I was connected to the internet within 5 minutes. I use the wifi within a space of about 600 sq. feet and get excellent reception. Very pleased!

For the most part this works very well, and my family is satisfied. However, I don't know what happened the other day, but the WiFi was just not working. Once I plugged my computer directly into the internet modem, it worked fine. But then the router eventually started working again later that evening, so I'm not really sure. It works all right. It's good for the money you pay.

Took a chance on this router based on the good reviews but unfortunately after hooking it up, could never get it to maintain a connection for more than a few minutes. In 5 years have never had issues like this with my Linksys/Cisco router.Not worth the hassle dealing with tech support so just returned it.

I thought this was going to be a great improvement for my wi-fi needs. As it turns out, the connections get dropped and when I am connected, they are much slower than they were with my previous cheap 6 year old router. If I would have know the service value of this was so low, I would not have bought it.

This router is more dependable that my previous Linksys router which tended to cut out. The range on this unit is fine. I can see no reason to shell out more for home use. The internet connection is usually the bottleneck, not the router speed.

I am pleased with the output of this router. I did run into problems with it not being compatable with my DSL router. When I plugged it in my internet light would stop responging. FIX! All I had to do was use an old router between the DSL router and the TP-Link router. No Issues at all since. If that was not an issue I would give 5 stars.

Effective broadcast range greater than previous "N" router. No longer need to use a repeater router to reach distant area of house. Great value for its price! Easy setup.
