I swapped one of these out with a year old Netgear router that cost around $100. I couldnt get a singal in our garage and after replacing this with the tp link I know have two bars! Has been working great.

I've been using this router for about a month now and haven't had any issues. It was easy to set up and seems to have a strong signal throughout the house.

Initially I was very happy with this product. All seemed to be great. But only after few days speed of the connection would drop from 40 Mbit to 1-2Mbit. It would still connect but no matter what I did the speed wouldn't get back to its original. Spent lots of time with the TP-Link support but nothing helped.Replaced this item with the same and got exactly same issue. Got ASUS RT-12N and very happy. Avoid this one!

I purchased this router a couple years ago and have had on going problems. It has a very small distance that it covers. It cuts out and sometimes there is no signal all, even when we are in the same room.

I recently had a Netgear N wireless router that started needed constant rebooting. I t looked good, but the performance was average. After only having it a year and a half I decided to see if I could find a cheaper but good working n router. After seeing the reviews, specs, and price I decided to purchase this router. The performance is great. The range is better than the netgear and setup was easy. I did have to figure how to get it to work with the DSL modem, but after reviewing the instruction manual I was off and running. If this baby will last a couple of years at least then I will be back for another one. I will never waste more money for a better name. Instead I'll save my money and research to find a great deal like this baby.

This is my second TP-link router -(after the first one died, but I had it for many years). This was an easy set up and works great - would recommend this product.

This router will not stay connected to the Internet without rebooting it at least twice a day. Contacted Tp-Link customer support and was told to go online and update the software. Well for this router they have 3 updates to fix bugs, etc. I tried one with all the steps, and it seemed to work for a few days, but then right back to the same thing. I had a 54 Mbps Linksys before, but got this one for the 300 Mbps. When the TP worked, it was faster, just not reliable. Also, I missed my 30 day return window with Amazon because I was trying to do the update and not have to fool with shipping back, but the time got away from me. Don't let this happen to you. I would stay away from this one.

I bought this for my home it drops the signal half way across the house at about 60 feet itworks no better than my old 50mgps one.

I was hoping this router would blow my AirPort Express out of the water, and considering how low that AirPort junk had my expectations sink to, it shouldn't have been difficult. However, I have been underwhelmed so far... Perhaps there's a smidgen more speed and reliability from this router than from the AirPort, but it cannot be measured nor can I even subjectively tell if there's a difference... My advice is buy this new if you want a cheap and decent router, but don't get it as a cheap replacement of an underperforming router, thinking it'll be blazing fast...

I bought this router last year for Amazon, after replacing a much inferior, and very difficult to setup, LinkSys (will never buy one of these again). The TP-Link however was easy to setup, but then suddenly stopped working about a year later. I really like this router because of it's range in my 2-story house. I called customer service and they told me to mail the router back and they UPS'd me one right back. Very easy and professional. Kuddo's to the TP-Link team for their time and attention regarding my issue.

I received this item as promised. I followed the directions and was able to get it working in a fair amount of time. It has many options available for those who want to mess with them. I like working with computers, but I fall short on knowing internet security lingo, so I really didn't mess around with anything other than having a password with the recommended security type.I was also very happy about the range of the device.I would definitely recommend this item and I would buy it again myself.

virtually plug and play. great for the price when compared to the other routers out there at the same speed. easily lets us stream multiple HD videos at once from wireless devices

Hi everybody,To start of, I have owned 3 of these routers till now.The most bad reviews I have read about it is that it's hard to configure. Well to cut it short, I have not seen a router that is easier to setup. It took barely 5 minutes from plugging in to surfing the net.Secondly, the speed of this router is second to none. I have used far more expensive Netgear, Linksys and Belkin routers and they would wet their pants looking at this beast with 2 horns i.e 2 antennas!!The BEST ever wi-fi coverage and speed. To give you a perspective, I can sit in the park opposite to my apt building and still work on my home wifi.I would not blink before buying it again.BUY IT !! PERIOD.

Short and sweet,very easy to set up, I configured it for fixed channel and wide bandwidth (high data transfer) and than it crashed and it crashed Hard LOL. Streaming HD on 2 flats plus transferring movies from my DTV Nomad to a laptop simultaneously. After multiple resets it never came back to life, unable to interface just lights and sits like a brick.Returned and bought the ASUS RT-N66U, what a workhorse, mimicked the above scenario and worked flawlessly with no bogging.I'm no expert but I know quality, so I guess the old expression is true "you get what you pay".

Extremely cheap 150Mbps router that supports DD-WRT, when I got this router I had to power cycle it almost everyday for a week then I place DD-WRT on it and smooth sailing began. The router has been so stable and only had to power cycle it twice in the last few months, the range is okay and the speed is comparable to my Cisco router. If you know anything about DD-WRT and looking for an inexpensive router this is it, don't think just jump. Extremely great value!!!

First this router is awesome! Great signal, never drops the signal/have to reset it.Second if you're a mac user, the first instructions that come out of the box state that the system requirements are Windows!!! AAAAHH!! The set up disc that comes with this are those mini ones (not mac compatible). Don't worry though, you can get this up and running without it. First ignore all the instructions. Second power on the router. Third plug in your router to your internet (make sure you are in the LAN port). And now it works!!!! No disc necessary...However if you want to set up a password or change the name, keep reading...Forth, open Safari (internet browser). Type in 192.168.1.1 (the username and password are: admin). From there you can change the password fairly easy (it will reboot). And you can change the name that it is displayed as (SSID). After it reboots, it has been configured with a new name/password without using the disc.Great router! No complaints!

It's a nice little router with lots of good features that I use. Signal strength is stronger than my other N router that I have. It does tend to require a little more often reboot than my other router, but they all require periodic reboot as they get hosed up on something. So far though I am very happy with it.
