Why buy only a great camera for this price? This package contains so much added value, that makes the product more functional, ready at all times and handy for every use. Still exploring the camera, but able to figure out much intuitively, without digging into a book. Fill flash does well, plenty of zoom, and lotsa pixels make editing close in produce a great result. More to learn, but All Systems Go after a fun week shooting in several different light/action/focal situations.

Great camera, love it! It is so nice to have something small enough to fit in my handbag. This camera has great ability to shoot indoor images. Set it on Intelligent auto and GO.

Great case. It looks like an old camera everyone asks me how old is this camera and when they see the camera is new all surprised. Only issue I have is it does not have a good strap to secure around the shoulder or neck.

This is a highly functional camera with options for those with years of photography experience all the way down to those, like my wife, who just want a point and shoot for family gatherings. While my dad, who made a living behind a camera, will use the many features within the menus, my loving while will simply place the selector on Auto and shoot away.

The color, warmth and tonal range are excellent as well as the low light operation. I highly recommend this camera for a carry about when the shot has to look great, but you haven't read all the latest on scene setup.

I'm a fan of Canon, and thought I would try this highly reviewed camera...takes great pictures but one of the critical buttons on this $800 camera went bad after only a month and a half of light use. I have never had any such issues with Canon products.

Lots to learn about this camera. I've taken some pics and they look great. It'll take some time to use all of the features. I'm having problems with the view on TV feature. Maybe my TV or DVD player.

I received the camera with a small scratch on the lcd and few finger print smudges on the lens. I dropped a mail to focus group and they replied back saying that they open all the camera box to right down the serial number of the camera. If they are opening the box by themselves then why is it being selled as new

I call this my "magic camera." I still cannot believe how well it performs in low light! I really like the design. It is sleek without being to flashy. I don't have a problem with it slipping out of my hand like some people mentioned. I do always wear the wrist strap though, just in case!

An advanced pocketable camera with near SLR quality shots. Nothing else in the P&S sector comes close. But you'll find you need to immediately order the SONY handgrip made for this camera. The weight of this camera and the smooth sides makes it want to slip out of your hands. Since there is such a small amount of room on the back of the camera for you to grip with your hands, I find myself accidentally hitting the on/off or even the shutter button on the top when I attempt to prevent smearing the back LCD with my fingers. In general this camera could use a much larger handgrip than even the one that SONY makes. On the positive side I'm tickled that I can get actual good bounce flash shots by holding the flash back with my left hand. The results are surprisingly good.Overall great quality, but you'll need to learn how to hold this camera without dropping it, or smearing the LCD screen.

The camera takes great photos overall, but I have to admit that I'm disappointed with the zoom quality. It doesn't have a strong zoom lens. Otherwise, it's a great, simple point and shoot.

I actually really like the look and feel of this case, the only problem is, it doesn't quite fit.

I purchased this in conjunction with Sony's LCJ-RXC case to see which one worked best. They are both high quality materials and construction. The two bottom pieces work and fit almost identically. The megagear case does not allow access to the micro-usb charging port while on. The main problem stems from the top portion of the case. It simply doesn't hold the camera as it should. In a side by side comparison, the LCJ-RXC case is at least a 1/2" shorter than the megagear case. This 1/2" size difference allows the top piece to jiggle around while closed.

I really wanted to like this case and actually prefer the look of the megagear to that of the LCJ-RXC. Unfortunately, it just feels sloppy and unsecure on the camera.

Doesn't fit nearly as good as the $80 sony version. Feels like it was made for a slightly bigger camera. Dont skimp on this and get the one from Sony.

Camera takes excellent photographs. Took it for its first outing to the Everglades and Ft Lauderdale. Excellent photos, videos and I did not miss the larger zoom of my existing Lumix. The size is perfect and much more enjoyable to carry. The extra battery and the 64GB disk are great. The other items are very inexpensive.

Met all of my expectations that I had read about beforehand. Image quality is very good. Operational controls are mostly intuitive. Love the size (that's why I bought it). Slips easily into my pocket. The viewfinder is very sharp. The only thing I wish it had is a larger zoom capability.

When you realize how good the images produced by this camera are, considering the size of the camera, you know that you have something special, and likely the best compact camera with a zoom lens available as of now. That being said, if you are a stickler for image quality, and many purchasers may be since this camera would make a worthy backup to a primary DSLR camera, you will need to experiment with zoom and f/stop combinations to get the very best that this camera can produce. Personally, shooting exclusively RAW, I have found that for 50mm zoom and longer, f/8 gives me the sharpest images. For me, f/11 is LESS sharp. For around 35mm zoom try f/4, and for 28mm try f/5.6. Your mileage may vary. I get good results in Adobe Camera RAW by goosing sharpness and detail more than for my DSLR before bringing the image(s) into Photoshop CC. Use your favorite sharpening in Photoshop (I like luminosity sharpening) and experiment, being a bit aggressive. Once you get that sharpness adjusted to your satisfaction, you will likely be quite pleased with this camera if you have ever used other (lesser) compact cameras. I have searched for a very long time for a pocketable camera with excellent image quality for it's size. This is the first one that I've found that makes the grade. Bravo, Sony.

Best camera I've ever owned. I was tired of my nighttime and indoor pictures being too dark or blurry... no more!! If you are on the fence, do it. Took me a while to take the plunge because of the price tag, but I should have ordered sooner.

Great camera. I have both the original and the new one. Viewfinder is very good quality but LCD is so good I only need it 10 to 15 percent of the time. Smaller zoom range has not been an issue for my applications. My only complaint is not as much easy focus control. You can get there but it is a bit of work.

At his is a great little camera. It does it all, with great results. I have two other cameras, one of which costs way more than this one. But this is my camera of choice because it is so convenient and I get great photos.

I love this camera. I've been meaning to buy the RX100 but forgot about it and by the time I remembered to get it, this model had already come out… And I'm glad I forgot!This model is even better than its predecessor. I typically use my DSLR when I travel and want to take high quality shots but I found myself needing a lighter camera because taking my DSLR with me (with all the lenses I have) has taken its toll. But I wanted shots of like quality if not, then something at least a couple levels higher than my iPhone which I typically use for quick shots.This camera is the answer! I love it. I bought mine from a Sony outlet store a few days ago and have not regretted my purchase since. I haven't tinkered through it thoroughly yet but I did try the wi-fi features including the NFC and so far so good!Considering all that I've said so far, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5? Because of the price. It's just way too expensive. Although the camera's features may make up for its hefty price tag, it still hurts thinking of the amount I spent on it. Yikes.

A quality leather product that fits like a glove. Easy to fit and remove, and the lens protection is removed by undoing two press studs so that the body of the camera is protected whilst hanging round your neck. It can also be mounted on a tripod without removing the case. It is not a bulky item but it will protect the camera from everything except water!
Don't hesitate to buy one it will last forever.
A truly 5* product.

In just two months it simply died despite careful handling and use. Dead battery and would not charge or turn on. Sent it to Sony repair for under warranty service. Awaiting outcome.

This is a fabulous case, love the appearance and old-skool styling of it. The only drawbacks are that I'd love to be able to plug in the USB cord without having to loosen the attachment screw and a more secure method of attaching the strap to the case body.

Sony should fix the problems that came with my new $700 camera:The problems are intermittent, but chronic: Sometimes the camera works well, but it often works against me, frustrating my attempts to take fine photos.When in shooting mode, zooming sometimes switches from shooting to reviewing. By the time I am back in shooting mode, the subject is gone.When reviewing, zooming and panning sometimes switches to a different image.The time stamp switched on for several days, then switched off without my input. I can't remove the stamps.When reviewing, zooming always jumps first to maximum zoom, so you don't know what speck you are looking at till you zoom back out and back in again. I sent the camera to Sony to correct these issues. I thought perhaps the problems resulted from software and that the software would simply be reinstalled.Someone did call me to confirm my complaints, but couldn't reproduce them and shipped to camera back unrepaired. Camera is still broken.
