Samsung has had this projector phone on the back burner for a while. But finally it's out in the market (at least where I live).Let's get straight to the projector. It works. It's impressive for something that's on a phone. And if you step back, it give you an image that's 50 inches. I used it to watch a few YouTube videos beaming it on my wall at night but with one soft lamp on. It was fine. Obviously it's better in pitch dark. The 15 Lumins Pco projector beams out from the top of the device. You hold it like a remote. There was a stand with the phone but unless I'm misting something placing the phone into the stand beams the image up on the ceiling at a tangent! There's a dedicated projector button and a projector app for a few settings including a Rotate which you'll need. The brightness of the projected image is separate from the phone's own screen and you will need to just keep it on max all through. You can beam anything from the hoe screen to photos to videos. But there is a bit of fiddliness involved despite the button.Samsung obviously thinks the novelty of the projector is enough to sell the phone because it doesn't seem to have bothered to put in anywhere near the newest version of Android. Gingerbread is now 2 versions old and while we may think Jelly Bean is expecting too much, what's up with not putting in Ice Cream Sandwich? But well, Samsung is bringing out other phones apart from the Beam that are also only on Gingerbread. If I'm not mistaken, the S3 is its only ICS phone so far.You'd be right in worrying about battery life if you're going to be projecting stuff around a lot. So, they give you two batteries. That's a nice touch. But other aspects are not so thoughtful. Why just 8 GB of internal storage when you may want to store videos ad presentations to beam? Why just a 5MP camera when you should be able to shoot better stuff to project?Anyone thinking of buying this phone should consider carefully just how much they need that projector on the fly. There are screens all around us. There are few places, during the day time, that you can project in without losing some of the brightness. That's the case with any projector, but in "projecting situations" there are darker rooms and the lights are turned off. A projector in the pocket may not get the same treatment. Think about it.

I have had this phone for 3 months. It multitasks well and the picture quality and different modes are so helpful in the advertising work I do! Battery life is good compared to others I tried, but I use mine all day every day!

This was a replacement phone I ordered.I received the Samsung Continuum Galaxy S i400 quickly and put the phone to use/ Was I surprised how well this phone works. I have had this phone for over a month with no problems/ I highly recommend this phone.

It works for T-mobile. My LG died on me and I needed a replacement to last for another month. Not very easy to navigate. Too many steps to complete a simple task. Bluetooth set up easily in my car. Can't send picture texts, but I can receive them. Came with a wall charger and a USB charger which is very helpful. Glad I only have to use it for a month!

i dont know if i knoe how does it work but it wont receive calls in the 2 simcards
you have to choose which one will receive so even if you have the 2 simcards you can only use once..
like it will be nice if you have a phone call in one , know that you receved a maessage or a phone call in the other one...

I came to this phone from an iPhone and honestly, I prefer this one. I can change the battery, it has external SD storage, and of course, a projector. I'm a teacher and I use the projector in class for powerpoint, videos, flinging vocabulary notes on walls/ceilings/etc. It's pretty cool.The battery life is surprisingly good, better than my iPhone was, even when projecting. I've watched up to one hour long videos and it's only brought the battery down by 1/3 or so. It came with an extra battery, but I have yet to use it!Someone else commented negatively on the 5MP camera, but it's enough for me; I'm a photo buff, and if I want hi-res I'll use my DSLR. This is awesome for snaps that you're just going to upload to Instagram or whatever.

Phone had more, infixable damages than expected. Used very lightly (hardly at all) for half a week and wires from screen got pulled out from the back and layed on top keyboard and under a few keys. Started as a 'once in a blue moon' thing to 'those suckers are not going back where they belong ever'. Phone completely hit the dirt 2 weeks later. HOWEVER, I will admit Provider was more than willing to look over the phone (once I sent it back) and was unaware of the extent of damage. Was told it never happened to him and that I probably did it but he would still be willing to look at it.

Well, this phone is.... weird. It turns itself off, even though the battery is charged, it forgets to set the screen lock - then out of nowhere the screen lock reappears, it dies and will not resuscitate for a while - then when you think that is it, the end, it starts working fine again. After a year using this phone, I must say I am not really impressed. It works, but sometimes it doesn't. Now I think it really is getting completely insane and will stop working soon - so not sure it was worth what I paid for it.

There was no owners manual included & instructions online did not totally match. Difficult to program. I do like the slide out keyboard , but I have difficulty sliding the lock to open when the phone is ringing. It is not as large as I was expecting.I finally got the voice mail set up but still unable to get email. I would not recommend it to my friends unless they are a whiz with electronics.

I am a bit wary ordering any inexpensive cellphone product online as they often seem to be cheap knockoffs or even refurbished (sold as new). Having purchased this for my mom, I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving it. It holds a charge well, is original samsung (imprinted into the plastic backing), and is new (no scratches/knicks/anything). These seem to be the most common types of complaints with this kind of stuff and this battery passed with flying colors. Ordered from PNE ($6) as opposed to others. Very inexpensive and arrived within two days! Keeps us from having to buy an expensive new phone w/ contract.

I felt heavy and thick when I held it first. I did not like that part. also, ring tones and alarm tones are not that great. size is reasonably small. touch screen and functions work well.

The Boost flash works great. The phone is great, condition looks almost brand new. Had some problems with first phones they sent but the company replaced them with no problem. Be careful setting up your account with Boost especially if transferring a number from another cellphone company. I unknowingly reset the phone while setting up with customer support at Boost and had to get the phone reformatted. That was a *&#* pain.

I read the reviews, and saw that some people were saying it, and that some were getting a QWERTY, so I took a chance. Sadly, I was not a winner, I did not get a QWERTY keyboard, I got what I can only describe as a French AZERTY keyboard. Now it is too late to send it back for an exchange before Christmas. Also know that the one I received was an "Orange" branded phone, and that it had been completely opened and mauled a bit, I am guessing that they simply bought a whole bunch of old French Orange cell phones in bulk, and are opening them, and "unlocking" them, and reselling them (or trying to, as they are knowingly misleading people with the bold letters QWERTY in the description).So in closing:Opened (box mauled, not suitable for a gift, unless you like giving people things that appear used).It is new (but man-handled during the unlock process).Looks like they may have been the "$1 with 2-year contract" phones from Orange (Orange branding everywhere).NOT a QWERTY keyboard. (I think it's french) Top row "AZERTYUIOP" Middle row "QSDFGHJKLM" Bottom row "WXCVBN"Not happy, as I was trying to get this as a gift for my daughter. I would have paid more for a new factory unlocked phone if I was able to find one on Amazon, but this was the only Samsung Galaxy I5510 I could find so I took a chance.

I didn't want to replace my vintage :)) phone, but I needed at least a new battery. The battery is very slightly smaller than the original, but that has not caused any issues so far (a few months). The first battery I received was not working, it wouldn't charge. I called customer service, they answered every time very profesionally. They sent me another one in 2 days, and if that wasn't going to work they would have issued a refund. But it worked very well. The only thing is that it doesn't stay charged for as long as the original did when it was new. I have to charge my phone every 3 days, and I don't talk a lot. But still much better than keeping it plugged in all the time.

I'm sorry I cant give this product the 5 Stars I wanted to give it, when I received my charger thru the mail it came great, Brand New, Sealed in a plastic bag. At first it was all good and great, but after a couple of uses, I realized it was staying stuck on my phone and harder to take off, then one of the Grey buttons you press to take out the charger got stuck inside which only made things worse. The real mest up thing is that the broken Original charger that came with my phone Still Works, and that is even after i Crushed the lil' connecter with my Wheelchair, badly damaging the tip. Now you know how weak the New Charger I Bought was. But it's ok, its not like I paid $15.oo for it, Plus the trip to the Store, Plus the Tax Fee that is always added to every Store Purchase. So that's why I'm still Happy I bought it Here at Amazon.com :) it only cost me $5.oo or around that price, but still less than $10.oo with Shipping included so I will be buying one again to give it another try. :)Thank You Amazon.com and all the Sellers that make Buying Online Possible, Save me Alot of Money, And for Giving Me Credit! :)AND PLEASE DONT LET MY EXPIRIENCE AFFECT YOUR DECISION TO BUY or Not BUY HERE, I AM A QUADRIPLEGIC AND THEREFORE GRAB THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN A NORMAL PERSON WOULD... great value, android runs very smooth, it cames in its box with all accessories, perfectly unlocked for my country & operator (VENEZUELA - Movilnet), just needed to insert my SIM card & the APN local configuration to run internet and no problem... honestly i was very happy with my purchase, until after using it and need to recharge the battery.... and NOTHING...CHARGER CAME BROKEN & USELESS. after a deep review I noticed one of the PINS of the charger was damaged or missing, so it wont charge anything.... :other CONs is all manuals & information of this cellphone came in french! even the charger originaly is european. with a little adapter, thats not a problem for me, because it came with it, but the real problem was the damaged charger. i was a few days on vacation and didnt noticed that when still on U.S.A and didnt returnt it, now im back on my country, and FORTUNATELY, was not the cellphone, just the charger, so i spend like 15$ to buy a replacement...so, to resume: I LIKE A LOT THE CELLPHONE, android runs great, but it came with a damaged accesory and all in french documentation & manuals....

I've ordered it for my daughter - was just looking for an unlocked QWERTY entry level Android. Got the phone the other day - i was ordering the one from Amazon. So what i've received was:- the phone itself: it is a not a factory unlocked version - it is a hacked / unlocked version of Orange (EU operator) phone, with Orange software (you can't uninstall this), Orange logos on it and the worst thing - not a QWERTY keyboard. This is a French version, so you get AZERTY keyboard, since French keyboard looks different.- what i've received in the box also left a strange impression: it was sent not in original box (at least Samsung was spelled correctly on the box), "hand-crafted" manual with a lot of spelling mistakes, the phone itself was not in original protective shields (looked like it was opened before), earphones in the packcage with English / GB marking, while charger was maked in French.Anyhow, this is still a good phone, and if you are ok with a French AZERTY keyboard and not a factory unlocked phone you may want to try it. Otherwise you may want to try the one from eBay. I will be returning the phone to Amazon, and will most most probably be looking for another phone from other vendors.

This cell phone is great, comes with all the necessary functions and gadgets, well built, responsive touch screen, good design, plus sliding full qwerty keyboard, the only flaw I see on this phone is the lack of better camera & flash, also the missing front camera for video calls, but since this is a medium range price product I think its way much better than what you expect to receive.

are irresponsible, they are selling a 551 samsung qwerty keyboard that is not specified according to the item description, IS FRANCES KEYBOARD AZERTY...the seller's HassleFreeCell response was:I am so sorry about this but I check with Samsung all of the international version of this model is coming with the France type azerty.

I've ordered this phone from 2 different sellers. Each time, the phone has arrived with a keyboard that is laid out different from standard US QWERTY keyboard. The item description shows QWERTY keyboard. The physical keyboard on the phone is AZERTY, which means a few keys are rearranged. A and Q are swapped. W and Z are swapped. The M is moved to the right of L. I wanted the slide out keyboard for easy texting, which is very difficult with some keys in the wrong places. The phone does have a pop-up on screen keyboard, which is QWERTY, when you close the slide out. But that defeats the purpose of the slide-out.Other than the keyboard, the phone is my first Android phone. It seems to work well. No complaints about the functionality, or the software.
