In my quest to bolster the audio in my car without sacrificing much space for the kids, dogs, gear, etc., I initially purchased a SoundOrdance powered (120W) 8", which was great in that it fit under the passenger seat. I found the sound woefully lacking (anyone takers? cheap?). For the price, I figured I'd try this Pioneer 10" mated to the ridiculously cheap Boss R1100M and WOW, huge sound. For reference, I have 2 6.5" coaxials in the front doors powered by a Pioneer GM-6500F (~60W RMS) in a Highlander with the sub in the back. This sub/amp combo was cheaper and way better than the soundordance while only sacrificing a little room.

Just finished installing in my FJ Cruiser with stock head unit and speakers. I wanted something compact for the trunk area as I dislike the look of large sub boxes and I didn't want to lose storage space. I could not be happier with this sub - its barely noticeable in the trunk and sounds awesome. I listen to a wide variety of music, including early 90s hip hop, and this sub performs great.

I had bought 2 of these recently and had them installed into my 2008 Civic coupe's trunk. Driven by a fairly powerful Boss amp.
I run them in 2 ch mode, one ch per sub. The amp is rated to produce about 300w into 4 ohms per channel. The sub can take quiet a bit more, however .
As soon as I got them I hooked them up to one of my home amp that drives one of my home theater subs. It is rated to produce 1200w into 4 ohms. Frankly I just wanted to make sure they work prior to install them, but once I got them to play [I tested 1 at the time]I decided to crank it up see if they can handle real power. I would guess based on the amp's LED read out about 5-600w output the woofer did bottomed out on some notes, which is very respectable for a such a small and inexpensive package.I would guess the 800w max is more of thermal rating, but without Pioneer giving any info how they rate, and measure their woofers, specs becomes really meaningless by themselves.
So into the car it goes. Once it was installed I had to tune things quiet a bit, as my installer is a young kid with quiet different idea of what makes a good bass sound. I also had him install a JBL MS8 integrator, which has superior crossover compared to the amp and head unit I have, and also an EQ that works on the octaves that the sub is responsible to reproduce. Once it's said and done, I must say these little subs are quiet accurate and forceful. For the most part they blend very well with the rest of the speakers, and they don't call much attention to them selves, unless it needs to be. If you tend to be more on the "audiophile" side you'll be pretty happy with this sub. If your competition bass head look elsewhere, and quiet frankly prepare to pay quiet much more for that. I do recommend this product, and for the price 2 are that much better still. Don't bother with a big monster power they don't need them really, and if you buy 2 that will lessen you power needs still yet it will give an extra 6db output gain or more provided you install them in close proximity.

The product in itself is decent for the money. I have no complaints, however, when it didn't fit in my truck despite some comments that suggest otherwise, I decided to return it and get the Rockford box. When I selected the option to return, it will not allow this because it is classified as hazardous which under Amazons terms isn't returnable. That tells me the seller doesn't accept returns and had to use a bogus reason to fulfill Amazons requirements. Last time I utilize this seller for anything. I can't stand when someone circumvents an otherwise great system just because they don't want to comply with the good service requirements Amazn imposes upon its vendors. Now I'm stuck with a speaker I cant use.

Fantastic product from Pioneer- as usual. It's a ten inch woofer so can be a bit boomy. Enclosure is classy and discreet looking.

i have this set up with a BOSS amp in a 09 Hyundai Sonata and i must say this sub hits with passion nice deep hits doesn't rattle my car and even on the low base hits are amazing. for a 10" it well worth the price and the Pioneer quality is unsurpassed and it doesnt take up a lot of trunk space.

I was looking for a loaded sub box for my '08 F150 super cab, and this one looked like a safe bet based on reviews. I bought this along with a Pioneer GM-D8601 mono amp (also from Amazon) rated at 300 watts RMS into 4 ohms. I have to say that the output and sound quality of this inexpensive little sub surprised and impressed me.
It gets plenty loud with this amp, and produces surprisingly nice, tight, accurate bass, fresh out of the box (not broken in yet). Bass guitars sound like bass guitars. Kick drums like kick drums. It does tight, punchy bass, and boomy, loud bass with equal accuracy. I'm very impressed with this little guy and would recommend it to anyone wanting to add some nice bass to their system.
Note to other 11th gen super cab owners: it does not tuck all the way under the rear seat. There's not enough space between the hump in the middle and the outside seat support. I had to turn it the long way so it is sticking out from under the rear seat. I rarely have passengers in the back other than my 5 yr old in her booster seat, so no big deal there.

This is delivering tight, punchy bass, driven by a Pioneer GM-D8601 Class D Mono Amplifier.
Solid setup. I bought this particular enclosure to use in my wagon for ease of removal or moving around when I need the extra cargo space. For being a shallow-mount sub in such a small enclosure, I'm thoroughly impressed with how well this performs and don't foresee "upgrading" any time in the near future.

Doesn't fit behind the seat unfortunately. It does kick hard for it's size. I have it on the floor in front of the back left seat.

I installed this in a crew cab Chevy truck, great fit for under back seat, and sound is perfect. very happy with the quality of this enclosure and the ease of hook up to amp. It looks awesome too, although it will never be seen only heard. I purchased this because of the name, and went with all Pioneer, that is new receiver, speakers and mono amp for the sub. Very happy with the whole setup.

I am so glad I bought this thing. I had a Kicker 10 inch ported enclosure in my 94 Civic hatchback and it just isn't anything like this speaker. I would have never guessed a ten inch speaker could hit so hard and so low.

Blew out the sub in one day. Not very durable. Sounds great when it is actually working. Stay away from this sub. I liked the box though.

I bought this Sub in October 2013 didn't use it until i bought my new car which was in December. I had it professionally installed and within a month of using it, it had blown. I was not using it at incredibly high levels or irresponsibly. I talked with a local audio shop and they say this is a common problem with this sub. I had to buy a different new sub since the 90 days were up.
Overall a waste of money. Buy a more reliable sub.

Stock stereo in my base 2012 kia soul. Running line out converter to a crunch amp and my god does this thing bump for what you get. It's 1 10 so if you're into EDM or hip hop this may not be your thing, however as a metal and hard rock fan, this thing kills it!

For the price I was absolutely blown away at how awesome this speaker was! I used to have 2 ten inch pioneer sub woofers in my car and then I bought a 2009 f150 extended cab and was limited on space so I decided to try this single ten inch sub out, it blew me away! Sounded just as good if not better then the 2 tens I had previously and fit nice and snug underneath the rear seat!

In the past I've had the 1500W amp with two 12's in a huge box that rattled my entire trunk and everyone elses at the stop light... That was then, now, I still enjoy music a lot, but I could care less if everyone else at the stop light can hear it too or not. The point is this 10" Sub sounds great even as you crank up the gain and it thumps hard if you want. Even at lower volumes though, people notice right away that everything sounds better. That's because even this relatively smaller sub, combined with High and Low Pass filters, frees up lots of power from your head unit to power your speaker's mids and highs and makes even stock speakers sound better.
Enclosure fits perfectly in the rear foot space of an '01 Grand Cherokee and is perfect for boosting the sound quality of your whole car without having to run 4g wire and have a big carpeted box hanging out in your cargo space.

Loud enough that my old parents cringes every time to the sound of the booms. Told them THAT is what music is all about..listen to AND feel the bass! (just be aware it only output 200 mhz power the most. but can give you UP TO 800 wattage depending on the kind of amp wattage power you have installed, but you don't want to jack the volume up too high otherwise the sub will rupture and blow becoming useless)

I have to turn the bass boost down for Drum & Bass and DubStep music. It won't rock your neighbors car but it will rock yours. I have it in the back of my full size SUV and it adds the much need bass. I am driving it with Rockford Fosgate R500X1D at about 320 watts RMS @4 ohms. Although the sub is only rated for 200 watts, it handles the power well.

These small dudes bump. I'm running them off a lanzar 800wt amp an its turn down pretty low an these speakers still BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM!!! If you've had problems with them chances are it's not the speakers but rather the fact you don't know what you are doing when it comes to hooking up a stereo system!!

This sub sounds great. I have it paired up with a $50 boss amp and $89 pioneer head unit in my f150. Much more punch than I expected. Very happy with this product and recommend it to everyone looking for an inexpensive sub
