Put in 2002 Toyota Tacoma extra cab. 900 watt amp at about half gain pushing it. I could not have made a better choice. Fits perfect behind the seat. Thoroughly impressed with how much sound this puppy puts out. These guys taking up entire back seats and trunks are wasting time and money. It will rattle your brain a little. Down the road I may add another.

I have a 99 tacoma standard cab with bucket seats and reading all of the reviews on here i thought for sure that this would be the perfect sub for some bass and would not totally kill the space in my truck.. so first thing i did when i received it this morning was try and configure where it was gonna go.. the sub will NOT fit behind the seat unless you are really short or only plan on having reallly short passengers.. and there is also NO WAY it would even possibly fit under either of my seats.. needless to say i will be returning this item and currently am waiting on return instructions via HookedonTronics (the people i bought this from on amazon)
the customer service from these guys so far seems to be pretty good and i also got the sub super fast.. i will update my review if i run into any further troubles.. BUT I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH TO NOT BUY THIS SUB IF YOU HAVE A STANDARD CAB PICKUP

I gave this sub 1 star for the fact that it fits nicely and is a compact option for a small coupe.
Other than that it cannot handle my 300w mtx amp on its lowest power setting.
This thing crapped out immediately and is now sitting dead in the garage.

Have this in my Honda CRV paired with a Sound Ordnance amplifier and it sounds great! I listen to a really wide range of music (indie, rock, metal/hardcore, hip-hop, electronic) and it shines on all fronts. I primarily went for a sub in my system to fill in the low-end and really feel my music - this accomplishes both easily. It isn't going to shake your neighbors house but for a 10" it isn't weak either. Not to mention it's slim design and downward-facing speaker enable me to load my trunk up and not get nervous about damaging my sub.
I debated between this and a powered low-profile sub and very pleased I went this route!

Returned item. It is pointless to buy this product if it is bass you are looking for.
It can not handle bass and sounds extremly terrible for a sub.

Well, I Have a Mazda5 minivan. I knew that I am missing low bass and wanted something that can fill in the gap. And I wanted a tight bass on low to medium volume (meaning I was not looking for window shattering bass or too loud of a sound). And this surely exceeded my expectation. Its only my first day and this already looks gr8. This is very compact and the down firing design makes it disappear by and large. The build is very solid and you need not worry while keeping some stuff on top of it. I am just running this on just about half the strength and it sounds pretty good. And yes, it arrived before time and was well packed.
And yes, I am running it with Boss Audio R1100M amplifier, and used "Boss KIT-2 Complete 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit" as suggested on AMAZON, and trust me you do not need any more. I am glad to see that the entire package is just under $200. You surely can not miss this deal...

This unit is flat and very easy to place without taking up space. It is also very efficient and has big bass with little power. I've heard tighter sounding bass but for a 10 inch flat sealed box it does well.

I hook this sub up with a boss audio R1100 mono amp a few day ago. Let me tell u the bass coming from this box will make u say WTF did I just buy for the money. U would think you stole this sub at the price it's going for. Let me say that my truck rear view and side mirrors are always shaking. Got this paired up with a Sony HU with (2) 6x9 and ( 2) 6.5 JBL GTO. My system is on damn point. U would think I drop 2k on a system. Listen! STOP researching and buy the damn thing especially if u have a truck or SUV. Oh 1 last thing the box is built like a tank and the way it's designed will always protect the speaker.

Good sub. Placed my initial sub under the back seat of my Silverado extend cab along with new pioneer head unit and new Infinity door speakers and Boss mono block amp. Huge upgrade from the stock system but left me wanting a bit more bottom end. I purchased a second sub which I added to the other side of the back seat. Sounds very good, lots of clean tight, can get a little boomy if you don't have the mix right. I personally set the rolloff at 80 HZ , no bass boost and EQ at flat on the low end. Depending on your music file (ie. lossless wav. file) you will find bass to be rich and clean with little distortion at higher levels. If you're looking to rattle your fillings loose you should look somewhere else.

If you are looking to set off car alarms and win SPL competitions you are looking at the wrong subwoofer. If you want something with good sound in a small package then this fits the bill nicely. I have mine mated to this amp: B004S4XNEO
The sound is better than I expected. It takes some time to break in the sub and readjust the amp settings, but I'm very happy with my little setup. I have that package in a 2013 Ford F150 with the super cab (extended cab) and it all fits nicely under the back seat. I did have to relocate my jack, but that fits nicely under the seat on the other side. I have no rattles or extra noise generated by any of the equipment or any of the relocated equipment, and I'm just using the seat to hold everything down.
I listen to a little bit of everything, from death metal to rap to acoustic, and it all sounds pretty good. I do have to adjust the level of the sub for different songs, but I've always done that and most of that trouble is probably due to the source recording. I can turn it up loud enough to rattle the whole truck while still maintaining sound integrity.
This was the addition that my pathetic sound system desperately needed, and for $225 shipped including the amp and the wiring kit I'm very pleased.

I bought a pair of these to replace a pair of TS-SWX251. Two things: This listing and Pioneer website specs show driver is rated at 400w nom. and 1200w max. The instructions and box state 300w and 1200w. Specs here also show sensitivity is 93db @ 1w, yet on Pioneer's website and manual state 89db +/- 1.5db in car. BUYER BEWARE there's a BIG difference between 89db vs. advertised 93db sensitivity!

don't expect it will give u the BIG BOOM and cover the whole parking lot (u shouldn't be looking at 10" sub at all if that's ur goal). however, it give nice and sharp bass, which gives the music a really nice touch up or cover up the weakness of factory stereo. most importantly, it's relatives small and no need to sacrifice much of trunk space!!

Just installed this subwoofer in my 05 silverado crew cab so far I'm very pleased with this product used with a 300 watt amp so i can't say to the 800 watt max but listed as 200 watt nominal so i used a 300 and it works very well. Is perfect for in the vehicle installs esp if your not looking to rattle the neighbors windows, I just wanted a light low range coverge and i even have my amp turned down and gives me just the sound i want. It's also small enough in this truck so its easily hidden under the rear seat. So if you want high thump like others have stated i would suggest something else, if your looking for discreet and a low watt sub to back up your music this is for you. If i turn up my amp up this will easily rattle my rear view mirror and still be in the range of good sound quality but i have it set to just high enough i know its there and working and adds quality to the sound of the music.

Just hooked it up and this thing thumps!. Im not into rattling my doors off or anything. Just wanted good sound. It will annoy other drivers at a stop light though.

For a single 10" sub woofer this little guy hits hard. You're not going to win the big thump contest but for interior Listening of music it's perfect. Put it in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler in the back and it work perfect. Get a small 100 watt amp for it and your done!

Compact design. You can set things on top of it.
Set the EQ properly, adjust the crossover frequencies on your stereo (Low Pass and High Pass Filters at 120Hz), and set the gain on the amp low enough that it doesn't clip/distort. If your stereo doesn't have LPF or HPF, use the LPF on your amp. Mess with it until you notice that the subwoofer picks up where your other speakers leave off on the low end to create a smooth bass continuum.
This thing is not boomy, it's punchy, which sounds better than a larger set up, saves you a trunk full of speakers, and keeps the neighbors happy.

I installed this first in my Ford F150 ext cab with a slight modification in order to accommodate transmission tunnel on the floor (cutting one side of the leg shorter) and was able to fit it under my rear seat. I sold the f150 and removed the sub installing it in my 5th gen Ford Taurus. Because I previously modified it I had to use L brackets to create a new leg but this worked perfectly allowing me to mount it to the floor.Taurus Trunk is huge and this little doggy takes up barely any space. The sound is deep and hard hitting enough for Rock which I mainly listen too but won't back down if I throw an occasional old school rap CD. Would buy again!

I love this sub, for the money and its size, it is amazing. And the BEST part is it aims down and has a hard top, I can just stack s*** on it and load up my truck with heavy things on top of it and it doesn't care. Very happy I don't have big 12" boxes awkwardly taking up space in my small cab.

I put this sub in my lightning and fits great behind the seat and produces great bass. It's not the type of sub that will rattle your mirror off you windshield, but it fills the cab of my truck with great sound. I would definitely consider using this sub again with my next stereo build, especially if it's in another truck, but I would consider it in a car too just because of how little space the sub takes up and because you can set it firing down and put stuff on top of it.
I'm running my system with a pioneer deh-80prs head unit which eliminates the need for a crossover and equalizer, mids and highs are handled with a Lanzar 800watt 4 channel amp through infinity kappa component mids and tweets. I powered the sub with a pretty old kenwood 600 watt mono amp that I have had since 2002 and it runs great bridged. If you push too hard it gets distorted so don't over power it and don't expect to rattle windows with it but it handles the lows listening to rap and hip hop and it pounds like a bass drum listening to rock and metal.
My system is more than enough for my single cab truck, and it produces some great sound. The sub really rounds out the system for a great audiophile set up.

This is a very well engineered bass box with a lot of BOOM BOOM .Performs great and really fits in small spaces.I use it in my nissan van without any considerable loss of useable space.This being a sealed enclosure generates a low bass.

This is one of the best subs I have ever owned. I'm rocking at 2013 VW GOLF and fits perfectly int trunk face down. Makes so much base just for that little thing enough to make me turn down my music and I LOVE base. I bought the recommend amp and wiring and converter if you have a stock radio and had best buy install it for around 100$. Glad they did because I have no idea how to do that stuff. The toggle switch works great and everything is pumpin in my VW. Can't beat the price for how we'll this sub is. Recommend to anyone . Best little 10 inch sub around for sure.

Okay, to begin I bought I new F-150, and wasn't impressed with the factory sound. I replaced and amped the door speakers, but still wasn't 'Wowed.' I was really trying to avoid adding a sub woofer because I didn't want to sacrifice any space at all, but every sound store I went to said the same thing (your missing low end). While at the last sound store that I visited I saw this unit and asked "How much?" They wanted $200 for the same enclosure, so I hit up trusty Amazon. Here's the review.
While writing this I see the product title as Enclosure 800 Watts. Not sure if that is a mistake or what, but it is rated for 200 Watts. I am currently giving it 200 Watts (from a bridged RF 4 channel amp) and let me tell you, it will need no more. I've had sound systems that were insane in my younger days, so I know what to expect from a shallow mount 10" sub. I was surprised. Although I wasn't looking for something to set off car alarms, I wanted to add some bottom end to my sound. This exceeded my needs by quite a bit.
As a matter of fact I have the bass (to the enclosure) turned to half way and find myself wondering if I should turn it down a bit more. I was amazed. Reviews will tell you that it takes a couple of weeks to break in. This is true, but honestly, it sounds pretty awesome from day one. If you have any experience with sound systems and know what to expect from an enclosure this size, you will be more than pleased from the performance. It will not make the roof of your vehicle pulse up and down, you won't feel the bass in your chest, but for a 10" shallow mount, it is incredible. I listen to all kinds of music, from classic rock to the occasional delve into chopped and screwed rap, and this thing does not fail to deliver.
The size is exactly what I needed. I have it slid under the back seat of my super crew cab and don't even realize it's there except for the sound. The enclosure is about the size of a large briefcase.
