Sounds Great! I have this under the rear seat in my 2014 Silverado Crew Cab. I wanted to fill in the lows of the stock Bose system and this did the trick. If you are looking to shake the car next to you then this probably isn't for you, but if you want to add clear and crisp low end to your music then you will not be disappointed. I paired this sub with a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime 1-Channel Class D Amplifier.

This subwoofer sounds great. I bought it and used it with the PAC SOEM-T 2-Channel Premium Line-Out Converter. This subwoofer sounds amazing for the amount of money that I spent. I installed this so that the subwoofer pointed directly into the cab.

Good price point for this speaker, great price point if you compare the speaker and the enclosure separately.
Originally I wanted the 2ohm 12, but it seems that that unit is difficult to get a-hold of.
This unit takes up a little bit more space behind the passenger seat than I wanted, but I was lazy and didn't want to build the box if i wasn't getting the 12" speaker I wanted in the first place.
Produces pretty tight bass and functions well enough for all music types from choral to rap to country to rock as long as it is being pushed by enough power.
Overall I am happy with this set.

I just had this sub installed and WOW, does it have a punch! Even the Tech that installed it was surprised to hear such a sound come out of this little thing. He wrote down the model number to recommend it to others as I have also. I've had friends and relatives while in the car, assuming I had one of those Giant Sub Boxes in the back. They were shocked when they saw this small sealed Pioneer box sitting in the trunk. If your looking to improve your sound system with great fidelity and a deep punch, this is the sub to get. The sound quality is superb and does not take much space!

Easy install, fits well under the seat of my 2006 Scion Xb. I think that it puts out plenty of bass, especially if you are just trying to fill your car with a little extra oomph.
For people looking to annoy the neighbors with their systems, you might need a box with two 12" subs instead.

Very pleased with this small yet powerful and rich bass and of course it is ideal for small room to be able to put stuff on top of it and also to keep the speaker woofer safe. However I had to raise it about an inch off the floor of the trunk in order to avoid vibrations when on medium level..i ve used 1x1 lumber nicely cut and screwed into the side frame of the enclosure ,other than that it saves my space for anything else in the trunk. ..of my Cx9..This was actually installed in addition to the standard 10 speaker Bose system to completely satisfy my taste for perfection pf bass and great sound all together

Jeep TJ 05. I went with the 400w RMS and the Boss 1600 amp. This is a great combination. The amp puts out 300 watts RMS and this really rocks the TJ. All you could ever expect from one 10" sub. I highly recommend this set up. I also used the Boss install kit. It was good enough. I did however use my own connectors. The ones in the kit were just very thin and would not hold the wire. I have a great pair of crimpers and they just did not fit my tool. I also went with the pioneer matrix radio and a pyle marine amp for the four other speakers.

If you want to fill out your car audio's low end with quality bass, but don't need to see your windows vibrate, this is a great choice. And it's very convenient...light enough to lift out with ease and you can even set things on top of it.

I have this unit installed in the trunk of my 2005 Toyota Camry, powered by a BOSS RM1100M amp. I was skeptical, but the stellar reviews swayed me to buy this sub. My biggest concern was that such a slim sub wouldn't meet my bass desires, but boy was a wrong. This amp can throw down bass like none other of its size. Depending on your EQ setting, this sub is equally comfortable throwing down old school hip hop beats, throbbing club/house bass, and can even do a nice clean classic rock sound. Very versatile sub. Trust me when I say unless you have a large SUV/truck or literally want to turn your car into a mobile dance club, one of this bad boys is more than enough.

I read all the reviews here before purchasing and I'd say I agree with all the main points. Great great product.
Upon taking it out of the box, it's heavier than I expected. Which I think is a good thing. The enclosure is really really well built. VERY solid and as I said, heavy.
I have it powered by the same Boss 1100 amp a lot of others have mentioned. I think it's a great match. The sub can't really handle any more power (sub is 200 watts nominal matching with the Boss amp's 250 watts nominal is in my opinion, a perfect combo), so there really is no reason for anything else.
I have it in the back of my hatchback lying face down. WOW, it turns the whole interior of the car into a bass chamber (if you want it too). I am currently running it out of my stock head unit (a pretty decent Pioneer) using a line out converter. Having that said, I know my control of the subwoofer is pretty limited compared to an aftermarket head unit with designated subwoofer outputs and controls. It really does sound awesome. It's definitely powerful and hits hard. Still playing with the sub placement and the amp settings (which I will not get into because this is not an amp review). I have been testing it with all kinds of music. It REALLY delivers hard hits and deep bass listening to hip hop/rap/techno/dubstep. Kick drums and bass are nice and punchy with other music as well. I once had another hatchback with a 10" Pioneer in a huge bandpass box and this delivers the same depth and low tone as that box did. So far, seems like the perfect subwoofer.
For those wondering, YES it does rattle mirrors and windows. No, you won't be shaking other cars and houses.
UPDATE 11/2014 - Over one year later and this thing is still hitting hard. Very pleased with it's sound and performance. It still sounds awesome with every type of music. The reason I look forward to getting in the car - I am extremely impressed.

So far so good I just installed the pair on my trunk ;very nice bass sound but not as deep as I d love, but still very Loud I mpushing them to their limit with my 1500 zx kicker amp..I think they ll need some braking time ..then we ll se if is getting any deeper the sound , overall im very pleased plus I have still plenty of room for groceries. Ok ,By the way their maximum limit is Not as advertised"400w" of nominal but in the manual says 300 w nominal so this is a bit of a difference for who really cares to know..

Unit was bigger than I expected. Not a con, just didn't look at dimensions before I bought it. Didn't fit where I imagined it was going to fit, but eventually got it installed in a slightly more awkward location. Paired this unit with a 200 watt RMS Sound Ordinance amp with a 120Hz crossover. After messing with gains and crossovers for awhile, I eventually got it pretty tuned, the sound quality is very nice, the low end is deep and powerful, hits are hard and crisp.
This unit is mounted inside the cab of a truck, so it is rather loud, in fact, it can be somewhat overwhelming with too much gain on the amp, not sure how it fairs if mounted in a trunk or further away. Definitely shakes the mirrors, but not enough to shake the mirror of the car on the next lane though. Only got this to help out the lower end on my speaker system and it definitely did that and then some. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for quality over quantity.

Very nice sub, small package but huge sound, tight bass. Small enough to fit in tiny spaces or just to save room in your trunk, it looks amazing as well. The build quality is on part with all high end subs, very sturdy and solid. If you buy from Asales you'll get the newest version at no additional cost, you'll get fast shipping as well.
It's not mentioned that it is a 400 watts RMS anywhere on Amazon, just to let you all know, it works well with Alpine MRV-M500 which 500 watts RMS.

Very satisfied with this subwoofer. Bass is crisp and clear, only running 180W at 4 ohms and it beats much harder than I expected. Will be upgrading the amp soon to get closer to the 300W rms is looking for. Only thing I should have done is get the 12 inch version as my van is a little big for this sub, still though sounds great.

Bought two and installed under rear seat of 2012 F150 FX4 Super Crew...along with a Boss 1600 Watt Amp, these things rock and put out more bump than I thought they would. I have them installed face down so when I lift up the rear chairs, I can still put stuff on top of the boxes, so I didn't really sacrifice any storage in the rear area at all.

Short version: if you want an amazing sounding sub stop shopping and by this one. If it needs to be unbelievably compact too, then buy this one. The price is even right.

I did a ton of research for what kind of sub I should put in my Subaru WRX without ruining all of my storage space. Everywhere I looked this sub had 4.5+ stars with just raving reviews. So my expectations were pretty high, but I couldn't imagine an enclosure this small good be _that_ impressive.
My last enclosure was one I computer designed and built and was huge with two 12" JBLs, so I knew it wasn't going to get anywhere close those. Well, it gets closer to that huge box than I could have ever imagined. I really don't know how the physics of it work, but it works. I can't imagine anyone (who isn't into doing SPL sound competitions) needing more musical, tighter, or louder subs in their vehicle.
I paired mine with a Kenwood KAC-1502S which is a perfect fit for this sub. Plenty of power (150Wx1), small dimensions (under the passenger seat in my car), reasonable price. This sub and that amp are less than $200 together.
Since clearly you are shopping for a sub, just stop and buy this one. You'll be glad. I promise.

I first was considering the Infinity Basslink 200-Watt, Dual 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer System (Black), but all the bad reviews about early failures and very poor customer support turned me off, so instead I bought the much higher rated and higher powered Pioneer TS-SWX251 10" Flat Subwoofer with Enclosure 800 Watts along the two Amazon recommended "Frequently Bought Together" items: Boss Audio R1100M Mosfet Monoblock Power Amplifier with Remote Subwoofer Level Control and the Boss KIT-2 Complete 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit. I chose to have it professionally installed in my 2010 Honda Accord by the Best Buy Geek Squad Car Audio Installation Team for just $99. When I arrived for the appointment, they inspected the three items that I had, but said that one crucial item was missing for which they charged me an extra $20. The missing item was the PAC SNI35 Adjustable 2-Channel Line Out Converter for which Amazon charges only $10.93. So if you purchase this system be sure to include these THREE extra items. The installation took a little over two hours and the sound is terrific and you can't see any wires. I would highly recommend that you consider a professional installation, as the installation is VERY complicated. The installer told me to give the subwoofer a week or so to break-in and operate it initially at no more than medium volume. After the break-in period, he said it was OK to operate at a higher full volume. I am very pleased with this combination and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting excellent sounding bass that actually vibrates the car at just medium volumes! I can't wait to hear it at full volume. This system is a MUCH BETTER choice than the Infinity Basslink system!

Excellent sound. I was skeptical about the small enclosure, but don't let that fool you. This packs quite a wallop. I started with one but since then added two to my Dakota's cab. I can crank it up to where my ears are hurting and the whole truck is shaking. I'm using a 1300 watt peak amp to drive them. Absolutely amazing.....

Sub sounds amazing! Installed in an extended cab 2012 silverado 1500 along with a pioneer GM-A5602 amp an I am completely astounded by the amount of power this sub has!! It sounds amazing with everything from Tim McGraw to Breaking Bejamin, from Metallica to Skrillex!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

I bought this sub and ran it responsibly for two years, then it suddenly blew. I pulled it out of the box and the back of it was smoking, with a little burnt spot on the inside back of the enclosure. I'm wondering if I hadn't pulled over to investigate the horrible rattling sound from my trunk, if the thing might have caught on fire. It was a great little sub for two years, but I was expecting it to last at least a little longer than that. If I were you, I would buy the enclosure on it own, then put in a higher quality sub. The enclosure itself is awesome. Very well built and classy-looking. But the sub itself is garbage.
