This bundle is One hudred eighty-four dollars and ninety-five cents on Amazon Prime, so I went to Best Buy and got it for One hundred nineteen dollars and ninety-nine cents. I got it for my technology illiterate momz to learn how to interact with technology, in a fun and active way. It didn't work out very well.She doesn't enjoy having to click through so many screens, so often. Always having to aim the cursor in a box and clicking really messes with her brain. She can't grasp the concept. She complains that it's not as accurate as "real life ping-pong". She said it gives her a headache.The games are pretty basic, and they're as fun as the real thing (to me, but not to my momz). It all depends on the company you're playing with, I would think. It's accurate enough to be fun, for me anyway.The cartoonish characters are family friendly and even though it's only 480p resolution, it works. I like it much better than spending four hundred on the new "u" wii.All the extra choices before you choose the game disc, and the entire start-up sequence, really confuse the heck out of my momz.

Last XMas on a whim I bought my sisters a shiny new red Wii. We had a lot of fun playing with the Wii Sports game that came with it. So much fun that I thought I'd buy one for myself too.But after months of trying various games and accessory items, I now mostly use the Wii for the Netflix streaming. I can honestly say that Wii Sports is the best game overall, which is sad considering it's over four years old and the one that comes with the system.The reason is that the motion control that made the Wii Sports game so fun doesn't work that well on other games. Even some of the minigames on the sequel Wii Sports resort don't work all that well. Just try playing the Wii Sports Resort golf versus the Wii Sports golf and you can see the difference.I think the biggest problem is that other game manufacturers haven't really found a way to make very good games for it. Most of the ones I've tried you wind up just shaking the remote now and then. Or else with some sports games they ask you to do too many motions at once to throw a pitch or make a shot and it becomes tedious. Really the closest I got to the fun of Wii Sports was EA's Grand Slam Tennis, though only if you don't use the advanced controls with the nunchuk.The nunchuk is the biggest drawback of the system. Specifically that they made the nunchuk so you have to plug it into the controller with a cord. What happens then is the nunchuk restricts how much you can move your arms around without losing your grip on it or whipping yourself in the face with the cord.I've also found most of the add-ons to be a waste of money. First I bought a tennis racket but found the Wii didn't read my swing about 40% of the time. Later I bought the Dance Dance Revolution game. But the pad is so small that my feet (which are below-average size for an adult male) overlapped the buttons so it would constantly say I was hitting B or A when I wasn't.Then I bought the Wii Fit Balance Board. That was a huge waste of money. A lot of people like it, but I found it to be an overpriced exercise video. Because here's the thing with that and "Just Dance" and other games: the Wii isn't really following your whole body. The balance board just reads your feet and the way you shift your weight. "Just Dance" type games just read the controller in your hand(s) so that you can be sitting on a chair shaking it and it doesn't know the difference! So yeah those can work for exercise and stuff, but so does any DVD you buy for $5 at Wal-Mart.So when all is said and done, I feel disappointed. The promise of Wii Sports in my mind has never really been delivered upon. Plus the graphics are very much inferior to the XBOX 360 or PS3.Basically if you want to really play games, buy either of those systems. Or if you want something cheaper for watching Netflix and playing minigames then buy this.That is all.

Purchased a new TV, except I didn't have the typical Red, Yellow & White connections which bummed me out. I found this cable and thought I'd give it a shot - I was not disappointed! The picture is VERY clear now and I couldn't be happier!

The WII games look great. This cable is working perfectly. The wiring is a little thinner than other models. Maybe it will last longer. As long as the kids pull from the base plugs & not on the wires to disconnect the cables it should work great.

We bought this to replace our original Wii that just stopped reading game discs after 6-7 years. It's working great so far and the kids are happy.
Be aware, as another reviewer mentioned, that this console shipped in a Skylanders Giants Bundle box (but without the actual game). If you're giving it as a gift you may have some explaining to do. The seller should definitely note this somewhere.

I wasn't too sure when my fiance wanted to purchase the Wii U; I bought the Wii when it was first released and after about a week or so, I was bored with it. They didn't have many titles that I wanted and we sold it a year or so later. Anyway, we purchased the Wii U a couple days ago and I can say that it's far better than a Wii. I love how the handheld controller lets you access special things, such as in the Super Mario Bros. game, you can add blocks or help defeat enemies while another player uses the Wii-mote to play. There aren't too many games out for the Wii U that caught my eye, but we bought the Super Mario Bros. and Scribblenauts Unlimited; both are quite fun and our kids love it. I also enjoy that the Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games.

I can't really review the product's performance since I don't actually have my Wii yet, but the first thing I noticed is that it wasn't even in a box, it came in one of those yellow bubble mailer envelopes and was just in a sealed plastic bag. I didn't open it but inspected it thoroughly through the bag and found no "Nintendo" logos so my conclusion is that it is a knock-off. It may actually work well, but I am giving the item a low score because the item listing leads you to believe you are getting OEM (original equipment manufacturer) hardware. Most item listings that are not OEM will have "(not OEM)" somewhere in the title, but this one did not. If I find that it does in fact perform according to my expectations then I will give it an extra star, but will not give it 5 stars on principle just because I feel like I was tricked.**UPDATE**I've since been able to confirm the item is indeed a knock-off. It took some investigating online but the 3 things to look out for are:1)Knock offs will have tri-wing screws in the nunchuck itself and phillips head screws in the plug, which is the opposite of how a real nunchuck is built.2) The cord will show a voltage rating if it is real, knock off nunchucks have plain white cord with no lettering3) It just plain feels cheap, it will feel lighter and the plastic is glossier when compared to the more matte finish real nunchucks haveAll this despite it having a nintendo logo on the plug, which at first may look convincing but looks a little off when compared to the real nunchuckAfter explaining my findings to the seller they have since told me they intend to resend me a real nunchuck. Will update my review when/if actual nunchuck arrives.****UPDATE 2**********The seller that sold me this item (Prime Ventures) apparently uses an outsourced vendor to fulfill their orders. They were under the impression their vendor AIE Gaming (they are somewhere in NJ, don't know where) was sending real nunchucks. They said that they didn't know if it was a mistake or of AIE was just plain being dishonest but they gave me a full refund either way and are discussing the situation with AIE. I would say I am satisfied with Prime Ventures for doing their job but the actual item still gets a low rating due to it being cheap. Just know that Prime Ventures will respond to your inquiries quickly and resolve your issue.

The lego games are great. They are fun for the adults and kids. Have Batman 1 and Pirates and plan on buying more but Batman 2 has some major glitches. It will freeze during game play, things "disappear", the camera angles can be weird and a few other things. It "seems" like they just threw the game together and pushed it out without playing through and "checking" playback. It is fun running around Gotham, playing the minigames and shooting everything. Just make sure you save frequently. Also, you don't get the suits in your character selection lineup like in 1 but all the other characters have most of the suit abilities. For instance if you need the hazard suit to shoot water use Aquaman. There is however no character to replace the acrobat suit nor 1 or 2 other suits.

I bought one for the family. after 45 days the thing stopped working, I think the hard drive broke. it would load up and then if you touched any icon it stopped working. Bought it at where I had a warranty so i took it back. got a new one. the new one freezes up on super mario wii u, all the time. I have cleaned the disk many many times. doesn't look scratched at all. I own a ps3, ps2, wii, and now wiiu, along with a bunch of older stuff including a n64 (which I never had a problem with other than the controller was made for an orangatange). I never had any problem with the wii. PS2, well I have had 3 of those and ps3 I have had 2. I have never had anything break within a couple months though. beware, maybe I just had bad luck?

This has no Gamecube Controller Slots, but that's what I wanted and this Wii cost 100$ LESS because of that. Just buy the full controller that plugs into the Wii mote instead of the chuck. Problem solved, you'd still save 20$ even if you got all 4 new controllers.@20$ each.
Also this Wii has to lay FLAT like how it is displayed. This one is NOT designed to stand up at all.
Comes with 4.3U OS. Letterbomb ready right out the box. :)

I tried this on 3 different televisions... Didn't work on ANY of them. I kept getting nothing but Black/White picture.
Not a lot of $$$ wasted. But, the frustration of waiting for it, then it not working...

this console is a god-send. it makes family time fun and enjoyable. my children have fun playing the games. the wii resort games are so much fun. There is continous laughter when playing this game. We especially love the "vs" rounds where we compete against each other. The inventors of the wii console are to be commended!!

"LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes", while not perfect, is a good game. It's the first game I've played with voice acting. Normally voice acting in a video game is a welcome addition, in LEGO games however I think some of the charm is lost.

The component cable works better than the standard single video input cable that comes with the Wii. I noticed an improvement when streaming the same show on Netflix through the Wii (I compard the standard cable and component cable on the same show and noticed an improvement in picture quality.)
Sharper image when you set your Wii to 480p instead of 480i. The standard Wii setting is 480i. Go into your Wii settings and change the setting to 480p so you can get the most out of the component cable.
Still not as good as HD, but the Wii is not capable of 720p or 1080p, so this is as good as it gets. Very good item and a great price.
