If you are looking for outstanding graphics turn away now. But if you are looking for a family friendly stay in tuned. Yeah graphics arent the best on regular or hdtv but who cares. Im huge fan of the wii. They have a lot family friendly games out there. I do not believe in first person shooter games. They put a lot thought making this system family friendly. Yes system this model wii play gamecube games. If you be playing for years on it should be the better 2 other companies. No i don't have a family but i look for postive gaming. i love its games inventory, ease of use, and how long it should last [with respect]. there are no fakes for a wii so with negative reviews. i would look past them for a family friendly system. thanks for reading this.

I bought the LEGO Batman 2 for my 6-year old son. He has the first LEGO Batman game and loved it. The graphics on the sequel game is too jarring, and the split screen on two player makes it difficult to play. The first batman game is definitely the better pick.

Our old WII stopped working after 5 years of use. We had many games invested in the old unit and two young grandkids who would play with them for several more years. After that we will upgrade the system.

Wii is probably one of the best gaming systems out there. Not only can you surf the internet, but you have a limitless amount of apps you can download such as netflix, hulu, pandora and more. It is a mulitfunctional unit that will get a lot of use. The game that it comes with is also a lot of fun to play. You also get a Wii motionplus accessory, remote, built in wifi and much more. However if this is your first Wii, I would suggest going with the newer model, only because it has upgraded features too it and is well worth the extra money. It has a newer more compact design and fits in great in your entertainment system. Included instead of the resort game, you get the New Super Mario game which lets be honest was the coolest game ever and still is. You can place this console horizontally or vertically, has wifi built in, connects with nintendo ds, stream all of your videos and favorite shows and so much more. I would highly suggest this version over the older version. My kid ha been using it for long time and it instill working.
For sure Wii is an an unparalleled experience as a game player machine.
Will recommend this console to others. Much better thar the boy games.

Works like it's supposed to. Widescreen for the Wii. I'm using mine for Netflix. Note: Wii does not output HD. That's a Wii issue.

Bought for my mom to hook up her Wii to a TV that didn't have the regular old AV connection but had component connections. Easy to hook up and the quality looked great on screen. Only complaint was that the prongs on the outside of the connecting pins were a little bent inward, which needed to be bended out to fit on the connections but it wasn't a big issue and fixed in seconds.

I bought this in order to have when the grandkids came over. When I purchased it I had a family get together coming up and I wasn't sure that it would make it in time but it arrived a few days after I ordered it. I was very happy with it and very, very happy with the fast delivery.

I was initially concerned when the picture through these was black and white, and kept cutting out. Then I realized: you have to adjust your Screen settings in the Wii's menu! The cable works perfectly!

The Problem with Gamer's today is that they are too reliant on Graphics. Nintendo doe's the smart thing and Make's games Actually Fun Other company's like Microsoft and Sony don't really have the gift. They are pulling in a Small Majority of gamer's. Nintendo doe's it right by Making the Majority of the game's playable for All age's and this is why Most of the People in the US have Nintendo console's now on to the Wii. When i first bought the wii in 06 i was amazed at the control's being so Accurate i didn't care about MotionPlus and frankly i don't need it. The Idea of Motion Gaming itself was Pure Genius and Heck it was like You were playing the actual game's even the 5 game's of Wii Sport's were good for about 2 month's of course i wasn't going to buy the wii only for a 5 Mini game disc(That would be Stupid) The wii has Game's for Virtually Any gamer(If you have a genre that they don't have in their game's then point it out) So i don't see why is it any problem to get this console the problem is "Fan-Boy's/girl's" Always want what Nintendon't it's the common jealousy of course nintendo can't appeal to the hater's because they are pretty butthurt that Nintendo doesn't want to make all their game's "Hardcore" which is a Retard move because Nintendo's a family friendly company and that in itself make's them OBVIOUSLY better video game's are meant for everyone to play not for just "Hardcore" people that's why Mario is more known then Even the company's of Sony or Microsoft themselves i even tested it out and some people didn't even know what microsoft or sony was and they obviously knew Mario.

My four year old some loves Batman and the LEGO line of Wii games are great for children his age. There is continuous play (you don't run out of life) and many different levels to unlock and explore. He would play this for hours on end if I let him. Great game for young children.

"I was so excited to get this game. I invited a friend over to play. We made it to a high level but then we couldn't get the car to go in reverse. It was so frustrating." That's one of the comments from my 9 year old. The game just really didn't work more than half the time. My son earned it as a reward and when he finally got to play it, it didn't work! We are so disappointed. We'll take it back to Toys R Us and see if it's just our disc...

The Nintendo Wii is a great system, don't get me wrong. However, Nintendo has started producing a new version of the Wii that does not have any GameCube compatibility. This means there are no controller ports, there are no memory card slots (other than SD), and if you put a GameCube game into the slot, it spits it back out.I was very frustrated because the system in the picture is the GameCube-compatible version, which is NOT the one that I received. Why is this a big deal? Not only do I love my GameCube games (which I would then have to have a separate console to play), but without the ability to use GameCube controllers, you have to buy Nintendo's Classic Pro controllers in order to play Virtual Console games. Granted, the Classic Pro controllers are great, but if you already have GameCube controllers like me, it is very frustrating that Nintendo won't let you use them on the newer Wii consoles.I returned the system and Amazon Customer Support was able to quickly get my money refunded. If you want one of the older (better) Wii consoles, go find one on eBay. I found a like-new one for cheaper than this and I've been using it happily for a couple of weeks. Cheers!

So...the last time I played Nintendo in my own home on my own console I was 12 years old I believe playing Super Mario Bros when it has first come out. I am now 31 and really wanted to connect to my girlfriend who was playing this stupid Farmville-like game... So to to interact with her -yes agreed it's sad, I went to get this bundle. Let me just say, we opened it up yesterday and we had the best night! I know the WII U is out but really this is all I need. I have Hulu plus on here. It connects to your wifi...it is easy set-up and it was only 129.00 so I bought Mario and we played both. I also bought another controller (generic version but works perfect and is cooler than the one that comes with it) It is cool because you can "multiplay" so Mario and Luigi didn't have to wait for the other to finish. We really had a blast and I am ready to play again tonight. If you want to connect and get off your behind get this Wii. I do triathlons and I was sweating during boxing last night. The wii even offers all the old games on the console to buy right there. It really is amazing and fun. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a gift for ANYONE! Oh, and when we were tired and wanted to keep playing it prompted us to take a break. A console that reminds you to live without it for a second is pretty darn awesome!

One of the best Lego Games there is. Running around Gotham City was a blast, looking for red bricks (special skills abilities) Gold Bricks (build portals to unlock special characters) and saving citizens in peril is a nice addition to an already great Lego Universe of games
