We really enjoy the Wii system. Granted the games don't have the realistic aspect that an Xbox does, but actually, I prefer that. We also purchased it to subscribe to Netflix. It was a bit time consuming and confusing setting up the account thru the Wii, but just be patient. Also keep in mind that if you want to hook up to the internet and you don't have WiFi or you need to wire it directly via an Ethernet cord, you must purchase an adapter, which is $15 +/-, because the console doesn't have the plug access in the back of the unit like an xbox. All in all, its an fun game system.

Everything my kids hoped for. Play as the lead character and unlock other heroes, all works as advertised. Classic Lego Wii game.

Husband and I are in our fifties and we really enjoy racing our two, "young-uns" with this video game. Lots of different tracks and races, choices galore! We use the Wii wheels while playing and it makes it much easier to control the steering. All four of us are racing each other at the same time! The kids are getting the game figured out and learning how to do the tricks and other opportunities to show off but they have to help us sometimes know what button to push and when. Me and hubs would have figured it out anyways, but the kids like to help us on our learning curve.Important note: I tend to get sick after only a few minutes of video games that turn and sway, but I can hang in there for about 4 races before I have to quit. I think with more exposure I will be able to race as long as the kids can (assuming I have the time and nothing else to do....yeah....right) and I quit racing while I can still recover quickly. So, if you tend to get motion sickness like I do, I think if you take this game in bits and pieces you will be able to handle it. I barfed at Six Flags in the Batman area after riding some stupid ride so I can prove I get motion sick real easily.Just put the disk into your Wii console, and get to racing!UPDATE: 4.31.12I have been playing this game a lot with my kids and have become able to race many times without become ill. If there is anything to complain about in this game, it would be that there are too many "bombs" or things to blow you off the track, stop you, or otherwise almost continually interfere with your race. I can see the point in having a few of these obstacles, but I think there are far too many and it leaves you practically at the mercy of the program on how you place at the end of the race and not so much on your racing skills.

I bought this cable with the intention to use my Wii at 480p instead of 480i on my new Panasonic 50" plasma.
I was expecting a noticeable difference and improvement in video quality. Sadly, I didn't notice it really.
And yes, I did change the resolution in the Wii settings and confirmed the resolution output on my TV.
I did it over and over again. Not much difference between 480i and 480p.
The cable works but don't expect much improvement in video quality. At least I didn't see it on my HDTV.
The price is just too good and the cable quality is ok. I recommend it still.
This is an excellent cable replacement for your Wii.
One thing I have not tried is using my older composite cable that came with the Wii on my HDTV yet.
So take everything I said with a grain of salt.

I bought this originally for my wife to use as an exercise motivator. That fell by the wayside but I play with Sports component regularly.Even after several years the games are remarkably sophisticated and challenging. The only blemish was that the secondary control (for two-handed use necessary for boxing) never worked well. The Golf, Tennis, Baseball and Bowling tho have all been fun.

It was exactly what we were looking for to temporarily hook up our old tv to the wii u. The cost was far better than any store and i have no problem storing it now and keeping for later use, if needed again.

Not much to say about a cable, they either work or they don't. This one works just fine. Video quality very good on our 47" HD 1080p TV. If you want or need the composite connections, this does the trick just fine.

got it used for 40 bones sold by C.O.S.M. so thank you for an awesome wii. got exactly wat i wanted, a first style of wii with gamecube compatibility (score!) came with all the cords and sensor back, and a controller but no nunchuk... i think i payed the same amount for a new motions plus controller and a new nunchuk, now just have to wait for zelda and my controllers to get here

This was much cheaper than the "official" Nintendo cable, and seems to work fine. The difference in quality varies by game though. New Super Mario Bros. is noticeably better. Star Wars Force Unleashed 1 looked much better, even my wife noticed while watching me play the game before and after the cord. Ironically, SWFU 2 didn't look much better... but this game seemed like it was rushed in development.

Products sold on this site should be shown accurately and I want a wii that can play gamecube games not a dumb boring new wii slim I have a gamecube controller memory card and games that is siting on the table waiting to play it on the wii because it's more revolution with gamecube compatible

cable didnt work out of the bag... sent back for refund and they only refunded part of the money. wtf, right? bought one at best buy for $30. it worked.

This unit is to replace the old/original [white] one that accepts various types of controllers, which stopped working for the FIFA 2011 all a sudden & FIFA 2013 as well. I'm not up-to-speed on the processor(s) is the newer models is/are faster but the games are definitely loading faster. Since we've invested in a good quantity of Wii games, the lower priced newer version unit is great for extending the usage of the games 'til we completely switch over to the newer game console.

My review is based on the fact I have not been able to play the game due to a faulty console. I purchased a Wii U for my kids and gave it to them as an early Christmas present. Took it out, spent a lot of time setting up, took down the old Wii, just to have it not work. Tried 2 brand new Wii U games, Super Mario and Madden. Kept getting invalid disk error. I googled the problem to see if others were experiencing the same problem so I could figure out what i did wrong in set up. What I found is a LONG thread of people of experienced the same problem and that it is problem with the console - many of the consoles being sold by Nintendo have a bad optical reader and Nintendo's solution is to have you package it up and send it back for repair. I am shocked that Nintendo would continue to put units out for sale KNOWING this is a common problem with the unit. God forbid they cut down their inventory during the Christmas season and hurt sales. Better to have a lot of frustrated parents and disappointed kids. Shame on you Nintendo!

The cables are cheap, and they work. When I first plugged them in the video on my Wii was grayscale, but I had to go into my Panasonic HDTV's input settings and change the input from Video to Composite. I also had to go into the Wii's System Settings and switch from 480i to 480p. After shutting the Wii down and restarting it, it was no longer grayscale or awkward colors. I doubt I'll play my Wii much, no newer decent games coming out, but when I go back to play older games I'll at least have a slightly better picture.

I was really pleased at first I couldn't get it to work so I had to go on line and find out more info. But was able to finally figure it out. And now I love it. It works great. Would recommend this product to anyone. Seller was very fast with shipping.

Highly recommended. I bought this exact set at a higher cost in the store & then when my Mom & Step-Dad wanted it, I did the sensible thing & found this exact same thing cheaper on here. So this order was for my Mom & Step-Dad. It's exactly like mine at about $100 cheaper than for what I purchased it - on sale - at Best Buy. Yes I was misguided on my purchase but at least I was sensible for my parents. It arrived perfectly at their house (I ordered it but had it shipped to them) & they love it. Anyway...The Wii console plus motion remote, nunchuck & 2 games are wonderful & I'm glad we have it. My parents have it, my step-kids & step-grandkids have it. My husband didn't want the kids to sit around playing video games all day when they came to visit us. However, on Christmas day, after grandkids brought over their Wii & played their Wii Just Dance 2, not only was the game console easy for me to figure out (a miracle really) but the games involve a lot of moving around, instead of sitting around. Sure, kids need to play at playgrounds & do other physical things but this Wii game has been a fine addition & we're both glad it's here. I use it more than anyone with my daily exercise dance games. Then the kids & grandkids use it when they visit. My husband only plays it when kids & grandkids are here. Admittedly, I know very little about all of the games offered out there. I've only been interested in the dance exercise games. The Sports Resort & Sports games that came with the Wii are wonderful. I always remove the disks & put them back in their cases & unplug the Wii at night. I don't have to do this but I'm a little OCD. When you turn off the Wii, the green light goes to red light & stays like that. I keep thinking we're using too much unnecessary power toward the game so I unplug it. My Mom does the same with hers. We're unique. No one else I know does that. I don't know of anyone having their Wii broken so as far as I know, it's a reliable video game system. Be very careful with the sensor bar. It has a thin cord & looks fragile. Trust me, it is. That's the only thing that broke & it was my fault. I accidentally vacuumed up the cord & it was a bummer for me being without my Wii Fit for 5 days. (I ordered a new sensor bar & all is well once again but learn from my lesson: get that sensor bar cord off the floor).Because we knew kids would be playing at our house sometimes, we bought 3 motion remotes (each different color) & 1 nunchuck since the Wii game only comes with one remote & one nunchuck. You can have up to 4 playing some of the games & only 2 people playing the other games. Also, be sure to have plenty of fresh "AA" batteries in the household. You'll need them for the remotes & for the Wii Fit Balance Board (if you decide to buy that game). It's lots of fun & I love the game. I can't compare it to anything because we've been staying away from video game systems for so long. As far as I know, everyone is compatible with it in our little family so we're happy with it.

Our wii finally broke after several years of hard use. We already had controllers and all we needed was the actual console. I was very pleased with the price as well as the condition of the unit. The seller did a great job in shipping quickly. Wonderful experience!

I bought the WII-U for my kids for Christmas. Within 5 weeks, the GamePad died. I called Nintendo and they provided a convoluted process to get a warranty repair. First, I had to send the GamePad back to Nintendo via UPS. It takes a week to get there. As far as I know, they are still trying to repair it. I have no idea how long it will take or when I'll get my GamePad back. I feel like it has been $295 down the drain.Update: Nintendo repaired my GamePad under warranty, at no cost to me. The paperwork they sent back indicated that they "replaced a defective component." Since the eventual outcome was a positive one, I'm upgrading their rating, but only to a 2, because a) it broke after only 5 weeks, and b) it took 19 days to resolve the warranty issue, during which time I did not have full enjoyment of the product for which I spent my hard-earned money.
